  1. Pearl Flower Mint Plunge Bra (390)

    Didn't fit

hello, summer! This is the perfect summer padded plunge bra that I picked up at the post office today. It's a bit lighter (feel & fabric - because the interior is white) than the Comexim basic, which feels a bit heavier and sturdier than this pearl flower mint plunge bra, but it's nice to have something a bit lighter for the summer.

The fit isn't perfect, but it's not Comexim's fault; I should've ordered 70HH. It maybe looks okay from the pictures, but it's a tad small on my larger side (left) and pinches there. I stepped on the scale and I actually weigh 10 pounds more than ... 2 months ago, great /s. So, it makes sense why this bra is too small for me on my larger side, it probably would've fit me back then though.

I initially ordered 70HH, then had 2nd thoughts about it, emailed the office and I said that I wanted to change my order to 70H (like a crazy person...), but now 70HH would've been right so I should've just stuck to my original order. The moral of the story is: don't email the office so many times, once you submit it, submit it. LOL. Will definitely hold onto this and see if I lose some weight though, fingers crossed.

Other than that, maybe the bra is a bit grandma-ish, but I love it! I don't think you can tell from the photos, but this actually has many more interesting details than just plain light green: the gore and all of the fabric area under the cups (to the band) is one layer of the flower printed mesh, so it's transparent & makes the bra appear lighter/sexier, I dig it. The wings are the same print fabric, but they're sturdier and lined. I like how all the of the hardware and strap elastic is mint green. Also, there are pink/peach flowers in the print, but it doesn't really show up on the photos. There is a little C (for Comexim) emblem on the mint green bow -it would cool if my initials were "C," like Christy!

Per usual, this bra from Comexim is a winner; I just wish I hadn't gained 10 pds, or it would've fit perfectly. But I will still hold onto to it. As far as pricing, this bra is on their cheaper end, I think it's b/c there are lighter fabrics used. The price is 125 zloty for the bra, and 22 zloty for shipping, so 147 zl total. For all of the details and the sewing on this bra, wow, definitely worth it! Thank you, Comexim = )

It's too bad b/c this bra is soooo close to perfection; if I gain 10 pounds I have to go up a cup in padded plunges though (apparently).
Update: 3-Jun-2021, I decided to order it in 70HH. This bra is just too perfect for summer!

wow, this actually has little pink/peach flowers on the print, but this doesn't show up at all in the photos.

    • 1

Ohh wow. It’s so pretty. I never would have noticed the floral pattern unless you pointed it out. So many times bras come and pictures don’t do them justice.

    • 1

Yes, I agree! every time I get a comexim bra, I think to myself, "this is so much better in person." Maybe I should take a picture in a sunny room later, b/c you can't really see the colours on this one. It's a bright fresh mint green. It looks dull in the photos, but it's not. It's fun. lol.

    • 1

It’s really pretty, I love the colour! Too bad it’s too small :( can’t tell from the photos though

    • 1

      thank you, margesimpson !!

    • 1

Looks good on you! Definitely do not sell it! I've made that mistake tooooo many times.

    • 1

This looks so nice!! I wouldn’t sell it either!!

    • 1

Wilderness1 , braluv , Okay, I'm not going to list it, you've inspired me. I was thinking - yes, it's too small a.t.m., but the shape is fine. I thought of listing it so someone else could use this "summer bra." But maybe I will fit into next year. Or whenever.

    • I do love this colour for summer though. I think having the "sea foam green" and white interior makes the bra feel....like I won't sweat!

I know that I'm always talking about the heat and I live in Canada...but it does actually get warm here sometimes. lol.

    • 1

I totally want this one now, LOL. It’s such a nice colour! Is the fabric soft/stretchier than the basic?

    • 1

So, yes! I think it is softer and a bit lighter than the basic. I think I was commenting on reddit (which I comment on waaaayyy to much!): if people are going to have fit issues, it seems like with the Basics. Like this girl https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/comments/nsem1e/recently_lost_some_weight_fit_check_for_my/ The Gloria and the Adele are okay (softer fabrics) but she has fit issue with the basic, unfortunately.

But don't let me peer pressure you into buying what's not right for you, lol....

    • 1

margesimpson , it costs slightly less than the basic, too, IIRC. I think it's because of the materials.

For some reason, I just really hate to sweat, even though I'm in Canada. I'm always worried about being too hot in my bra..

    • 1

LOL I know for sure that this material would be more forgiving than the basic...just trying to decide if I will try a plunge again..

    • 1

BraOdyssey yep, I’m in Canada too and the summers are brutal. Always nice to have lighter summer bras!

    • 1

margesimpson, I know, it's a tough call...you could always order some from breakout bras and then return them? It takes about a month though...Like some of the softer ones, and see how the fit is? Compared to Comexim's basic, at least? Wish I knew more about the alterations. In this video, Erica from S.P., she said that her perfect alteration is reducing the cups, and having the straps moved in https://youtu.be/5wC5e4Xxt0M She is size 30H though.
I'd like to try a longline in the fall.

    • *having the straps moved in 2cm...I just the leave the straps as is...maybe I missing out though, lol. I'm bit taller than average though.

    • 1

I definitely need straps moved in 2cm on the plunge, if I’m going to try it again *sigh.
You don’t need this alteration, you’re not missing out LOL which is good!
Straps moved in works for gaps at the top of cups if you’re short rooted like me and for straps that are too wide they dig into armpit, slide off shoulders etc.

    I first purchased this bra in a 65J (30GG).
    Review here: http://bra.pe/X2LR/
Unfortunately this 65J ran big in the cup compared to the moulded cup bras.

Since I’ve had some weight gain I decided to give this a tray once again to see if I couldn’t find a better proportion with a 70 band. This 70H (32FF), has straps that are narrower than the HH and up cups. Personally I prefer the thicker straps. The cup on this are too small, I get some quadboob. The side wings are too short for me, as well as the wires falling short to contain side boob. This will be going back.

  3. Hot Chocolate Plunge

Ok, so I keep putting off reviewing this bra. I had hoped to get feedback from Anna on this and the 70H - Comexim » Triss 3hc but it hasn’t happened because of the changes last month. Nevertheless, should I get the feedback, I’ll update this post.

    Now about the bra....

I have wanted this bra for so so so long. I love the brown base and salmony coral lace overlay. I love that it had texture yet still relatively flat. The matching shorts are cute, and while I’m not really a fan of the boy short style as they do not generally flatter my figure, ... I still wanted them. I did consider asking if they could be made in a different style but decided to stick with the szorty.

I was finally in a position to get it at long last, and I had multiple email conversations with Anna about what size to try based on the fit of the 65HH - Comexim » Jade Plunge , 65J - Comexim » Ingrid Plunge Bra (289) , and 32FF - Anna Pardal For Comexim » Lady Grey Sophisticated Balcon

The volume of the Jade is/was fine, but the cups were too tall and the straps were too widely spaced. The Ingrid is pretty good, but it’s slightly too large, however the way it closes on top helps hide that, and it’s a little more coverage than I expect from a plunge as a result. I wanted to try it because of the alterations (straps moved in 2cm, 2cm depth at wire, reduced cups though it was questionable if that was really fine) as the Jade was unaltered. Nevertheless, it is still a fave. The Lady Grey is is also altered (equivalent to the Jade with 2cm straps moved in, 2cm lowered gored, and 2cm reduced cups) and a little bit small on my big boob. This one is also a fave. So with this in mind, including pictures and videos, Anna opted to make this as a 70H with straps moved in 2cm, gore reduced by 1cm, and 2cm more depth at the wire. I admit that I was a bit surprised at the combination, especially with the cups not reduced, but I figured I would try it and see.

With all this in mind, the fit is pretty good. It’s not 100% perfect, so it’s not my perfect size and alterations. It’s not going to stop me from wearing it though, and if I figure out what is my best size and alterations are, I might try to reorder it again. The band is pretty tight, so I definitely couldn’t have done a 65 in this one. The 70 is snug and fits well on my 28.5” but somewhat sensitive ribcage. The band is covered with the lace that covers the cups, so I am not surprised by a snug band. The straps feel like they’re a little bit wide, making me question the alteration, but I have compared with the straps on my Ingrid and they overlap exactly the same, so...? The cups seem like they are a little bit full coverage, like the Ingrid, which is not inherently a bad thing, just an observation, and the cup volume is maybe a bit more than I need, by like maybe a quarter of an inch. I’m still waiting to ovulate, but it might be better for high tide boobs, if I ever get there. I’m not sure if I need the added depth or not. Maybe I need 1cm? Maybe none? I’m not sure if reduced cups on added depth really leads to a shorter cup. I feel like they negate each other as more depth means my breasts settle in lower and even removing depth makes them still tall. I’m not sure if it’s a solid theory. Tightened the straps a little bit more and the gapping is not as bad. I’m not sure if I need a reduced gore. I don’t think it hurts, but I’m not sure if it’s a benefit to me. The cup width of this bra is fine. The wings seem a little bit tall, especially with the smaller 2x3 hook tape, but it’s not a problem, just a visual aesthetic.

I ordered a Queen of Hearts with the Valentine’s Day sale in a 65HH (because it shows band is stretchy in the measurements here) with straps moved in, overlapping gore and 2x4 hooks. So we’ll see what the fit is like in the cups with minimal alteration. I’m hoping that I can get away with only straps moved in as the fewer alterations, the better.

The szorty was really tight. You can see the difference in the width at the hips in my pictures. I did break the seams at the hip area on top and, combined with washing them, it fits better. The lace is still a bit rigid but it’s more wearable, especially with the leg hole moved to my crease to fit more like a hipster or cheeky, as the back side is not total coverage.

I do really love this set. It’s not a perfect set, but it’s comfortable and I wear it as much as I can.

    Update Dec 2020:

So I added a few more recent pictures to the profile that show a more accurate representation for the current fit. I took them to add to an email to Joanna along with the Queen of Hearts and Lady Grey for suggestions on alterations. The response I got was, if it like the fit of the Hot Chocolate, stick with the same alterations. I did reply back saying that I felt it was maybe a little bit too large and too tall still, and would it be too much trouble to also reduce the cups or would reducing the cup depth from 2cm to 1cm reduce the volume and cup height slightly, so we’ll see if I get a response. Just curious about the feedback from here on the fit and where you think an alteration is needed. I might opt to post a fit request.

    • It looks gorgeous on you! The fit looks really good.

    • Thanks, Sonya. You think the fit is ok?

    • The fit looks great in the pics.

    • Do you feel like you're getting support in the cups Calluna or is it too deep? Is your centre tissue contained? ( It looks like it is in the picture, but it's always hard to tell in pictures). I wonder if you could do with just a shorter cup of 2 cm and no added depth? I'm interested to see what the queen of hearts will look like on you with fewer alterations. Has it shipped yet? In my experience, I can do fewer alterations in the right size, so hopefully you have that same experience too. All I do now is straps moved in 1 cm and overlapping gore.

    • I feel like this one is a smidge too deep/tall/big. Not by a lot, though. Maybe a 1/4” or less. I’m not sure if keeping the depth and reducing the height is the best option which is why I ordered the Queen of Hearts with no added depth or reduced height.

The way I see it, I had a few options for the cups:

      -added depth and reduced cups
      -less added depth
      -no added depth
-no added depth and reduced cups

      *unsure about the gore height

With the first option, I could add 2cm, reduce 2cm, but I wonder if it’s redundant. I could try 2cm added but only 1cm reduced cups. I could also try added 1cm and reduced 1cm but again, redundant? Cups are scaled in 2cm increments, so I feel like this current fit is basically a 70HH without reduced cups (and straps moved in and reduced gore).

With second option, I could try just adding 1cm of depth which might be the best of both worlds. Less depth might mean lower cups.

If I reduced cups without added depth, I wouldn’t do 2cm, or it might be a little bit too small like Lady Grey.

Given that I have a multitude of options, I opted to try the least alterations first.

It has shipped, yes, but the tracking said final destination was USA. I spoke to Joanna and she’s not sure what happened and said that she would send me another one the next day. Which kinda makes me nervous that the alterations will not be done unless it was a priority remake. But I’m trying to be hopeful. I’m hoping to get it in the next week, as it will be a month from the day I ordered on the 16th.

    • Well it'll be really interesting to see how the queen of hearts turns out. Hopefully it fits as is! Glad you got another one shipped out to you so fast. I'm sure she just prioritzed sewing it for you.

    • 1

Thanks. I’m anxious to try it. I had to evaluate all of Comexim plunges I’ve had or tried and attempted to use the fit information of each to make an educated guess.

I hope it was re-sewn for me custom and shipped out right away. I did never get her to confirm that she got my request for alterations but it is in the order messages and I did repeat it I’m my email with the mailing address. I hope it’s here soon.

    • My Queen of Hearts definitely has a larger/stretchier band than most of my other 60s. It's also super comfy and moulds to my body nicely. I hope you get a great fit!

    • Thanks Sonya . I used the measurements here for reference and matched with what I have already tried and felt like it would be ok in the 65 for this one.

  4. Celebration Padded Plunge

My shape: close set, center full, full on bottom, average/narrow width roots, tall shallow roots, soft tissue.

So this bra fits pretty well!! My previous review of the other size is here: http://bra.pe/X0Xk/

My shape: close set, full on bottom, average/narrow width roots, tall shallow roots, soft tissue.

I ended up going to a 32 band to be comfortable and I can wear it on the second loosest hook which is great since there are still two more tighter hooks for the future.

The cups fit well and gives a nice profile under clothes, looks projected and rounded, very perky. The width seems to be great for me ... and the top of the cups is not closed, nor is it open, so I feel it works well. Sometimes when it’s too closed, it cuts into my soft tissue, and when too open it just gaps too much and I hate that. It can gap ever so slightly on the outer upper part of the cup (near the straps) depending on how I move my torso, but it's barely noticeable very minor that it doesn't show or annoy me. The gore is comfy (yay!) and tacks. Doesn’t bother my close-set breasts. It's lightly padded, so no nipple show-thru. You can see the seams of well-fitted shirts, but I don't mind.

Other things I love: the straps are nice and wide and the band is U-shaped in the back and has 3 hooks which feels so much nicer than having 2. Overall, I’m pretty pleased with this bra.

Edited to add: After having this bra for a while, I can confidently say that it's an awesome fit for me. After adjusting the hook closure and straps, the wires follow and stay closely under my IMF. Also it's super comfy, I'm so impressed by how "soft" it feels for all day wear.

It is a Breakout Bras style. Not sure if it’s an exclusive or not.

    • 1

This looks gorgeous! I love the colour!

    • 1

Thank you Calluna I also wanted to say I tried out the Curvy Kate Ellace bra you suggested and it's pretty awesome as well for my shape. 😀

    • Thank you xuenylom On their website it says it's exclusive to Breakout Bras.

    • Thank you Sonya

    • 1

I’m glad that the Ellace worked out. What size did you get?

    • Calluna I tried the 30F first, band was way too tight (painful even!!) with an extender, and when I tried it upside down couldn't keep it on for more than 15 mins.

So I returned that and ordered both 32E and 32F, the F is too big, wrinkling on the inside of the cup near the gore and top lace part is somewhat loose. The 32E is much better, the lace cuts in just a *little*, but I'm not too bothered since it's not very noticeable. I love the firmness of the band, it makes me feel very supported. I added measurements, but I will try to take some pics and review each this weekend hopefully! 🙂

    • 1

Awesome. My 30Es were really tight but I was ok using a row or two of extender, but it was also a bit small in the cup so I’m sure that was part of it. I don’t know if I should go 30F or 32E for myself. I’m not sure if I can do a 30FF or 32F. I really want to try a different size though, because I did really like the immediate depth and shape, as well as the light feel. It’s also a bit classy without being granny.

    • Calluna I agree, it looks like nice classic bra, not granny at all. I think if you like a snug band, you will probably love the 30 size more.

    • I have a 28” under bust but need 29” to be comfortable and supported. My 30Es only stretched to 28.5” so I could do them up but not wear them for a long period. I definitely needed at least one row of extender hooks. I think that I would probably be ok with the 32 because I have a good rotation of bras that it would not stretch out too fast even if it was on the middle hooks straight away. By your measurements, the 32 band is probably ideal in this cut.

    Didn't fit

The Comexim Honey Cookie Plunge bra is perhaps the most beautiful nude bra I've ever personally handled. The lace cup overlay, satin base fabric, and shimmery center gore bow are lovely. There is scalloped embroidery on the fully-adjustable straps and bows at the strap-cup junction. Speaking of the straps, I did find it odd the band-side of the strap has extra length beyond the end-stitching - 1.5 cm worth - which I realized could be leveraged to let out the straps, to make even more length to accommodate low-set breasts and/or an extra-long torso, which is brilliant (I would have so appreciated this in my ... latest acquisition, an Empreinte with too little strap length!). The seams on this Comexim are all very neat and the workmanship is so tidy. It's not surprising the bra tag reads Linea Artisana - because this is artisanal-grade work. Those of you who prefer an overlapping gore will enjoy this plunge with close-set wires; the wires end up almost on top of one another due to the way the wire channels are brought together and overlapped. The three part cup construction is nicely done with an extra bit of fabric covering over those seams on the cup interior. There is "padding" but it's more of a thick liner - about 0.3 cm deep. This helps the cup keep its shape without adding too much volume. Finally, I love that there are three hooks. I don't see this often in the sizes I wear, and I wish it were more common. The added rear band depth and hook add a lot of security for me.

Fit-wise, I'm afraid this bra isn't a keeper for me. It's a shame, because even for a bra that fit me poorly I found it really comfortable. It's just a shape and size mismatch. The bra cups seem a little too small (I normally wear a 32F US/UK) and I get big-time quadding to the extent that I don't feel supported, and bending over causes my breasts to leave the bra. The very narrow and somewhat low center gore is also an issue for me. While I don't have wide-set breasts per se, I have very soft tissue and it tends to mush inward if not supported. The immediate projection of this bra is not enough for my shape, though the wires were comfortable.

Have you thought about buying this 2-3 cup sizes up? Comexim plunge wires don't grade wider much so you'll have a similar width cup but deeper.

    • 1

Hi cupandahalf - I will have to try that! This bra was a 32:8 so I thought I was upsizing, but I may not have gone far enough - that was one cup beyond what I normally wear. It was so impressed by it, I'd love to try it in a properly fitting cup size. Thanks for the feedback!

    • 2

No problem! I would try 2 cups up. They will be taller though. If you're in the US Breakout bras sells plunges (although not this stunner) in stock so you could try a few different sizes, with free returns!

The holy grail bra, I have finally found it! Cakes on a plate + basketball roundness + enough immediate projection. SO COMFORTABLE. I wore it new out of the package 2 different days this week and forgot about it, it was that great. It's also GORGEOUS. The lace is smooth under tops. I put it on and said, "My boobies look pretty!" And my bf definitely agreed, haha. This definitely has more bottom projection than plunges. The open cup allows my tall but medium-shallowness roots to do what they wish. No gaping that i get with Comexim/AP plunges. No quadding. I take it off at the end of the day and the underwire marks mirror my IMF perfectly. I am going to handwash and wear it a few more times before I order more Comexim 3hc's pronto! Thanks to Ayouthfulporpoise for your awesome blog review. #boobtwin.

In the up and down and fluctuations of my weight and size of the past few years, it’s been a challenge. I decided to swap the too small 65G Ingrid for this, but it is a bit too big. I think the current Comexim size for me is 70G. The big boob barely fits and the smaller boob has extra space. There are cookie pockets that I can use, but despite the band measurement being about 30” give or take, it still feels a little too snug, so I’m not sure I should bother putting them in.

The bra is so beautiful though. I love the pastel blue ... and taupe flowers on the ivory base. It’s very pretty. I’m kind of tempted to see if it can be made into an unpadded bra.

It pains me to list it, but even if I gain weight again to fit in the cups more, it’s not super comfortable enough to keep without further alterations.

Update: it does seem to fit me better right now, but it is still a little bit big and not super comfortable in the band…ok for occasional wear though

This is one of the two bras ordered around Black Friday. After the 65J - Comexim » Belen Half Cup was a little too tall and tight, I messaged Anna at Comexim to help me figure out what size I should try next for a better fit. We ended up working on both 3HC fit and plunge fit because I like both styles. Guys, it was really fricking hard to decide what style to try, but she suggested Triss, and it was on my short list, so I went with it. I seriously had a half dozen or more short listed styles to try the ... alterations with. I’m glad she picked it from my list as the black is good for my work uniform (also black).

This bra is a padded 3 part half cup with 2 vertical seams, and lace covering the cup edge. The material of the cups is quite soft and smooth, a bit silky, and the foam cups are lightweight. It’s black with what appears to be white or ivory dots in a sort of pearl necklace design, though in some lighting, look a little pale pink tinged. The lace is a lovely shade of mauve. The bow, straps, and trim are a similar mauve shade. The band has 3x3 hooks and the straps are fairly thick.

After sending pictures and videos to Anna of all the Comexims I’ve tried, and the various sizes and alterations combinations, she chose to make a 70H with the straps moved in 2cm and the gore reduced by 1cm. The plunge was the same, but added 2cm of depth at the wire. To be honest, I was a little bit curious that both bras were the same size, and that the plunge had the added depth when it is considered to fit larger than the half cup. I usually hear people size up in the half cups/down in the plunge. I was not so concerned with the cups not being reduced on this one because it’s a cup size smaller than the Belen was and I thought maybe I do need a cup size down.

The band is quite firm with limited stretch, and I’m glad that I got a 70 for this one. That said, I might have been able to do a 65 band if it had an extra column of hooks, though might be a bit snug at first still. The wires seem to be narrow enough, though I could possibly go a bit narrower. The cup height also seems to be ok, and the lace over the edge hides any minor fit issues. I’m unsure if the reduced gore is a benefit to me, and I don’t know if it’s a factor in the overall cup volume. This bra is a little but too small, and it’s most noticeable on my big side. It’s a little compressing, but is typical for this style and it’s not a huge issue for me. Sometimes I prefer this fit over the more projected and slightly pointier plunge.

I got the matching bottoms, however, by default, they’re a boy short which generally isn’t a good style for me (though I did stick with the shorty with the other bra). Since the Triss is similarly styled like the Scarlet, I asked for her to make the bottoms like the Scarlet for me...and I am glad I did. I ordered the medium and they fit. They’re a little snug, and I probably could have done a large, but they might ease in a bit more with wear. I would have gotten a bit more rear coverage, but I think the medium is still good. It’s a better fit than the other ones in my order. For reference, I take a medium size with aerie and La Senza unless it’s a particularly stretchy material.

All in all, the set fits decently, but not perfect. I think my next 3HC will be a cup size larger with reduced cups. Straps moved in are a consistent alteration. I don’t know if I can do 1cm as well, or if I really need the 2cm for my petite frame. And as said, I don’t know about the gore. I’m hoping to get some feedback from Anna on the fit of the two bras and I will update or edit this as that happens.

That is gorgeous on you! Sorry it's a little small.

    • 1

Awh, this fit looks pretty close, just a tiny bit snug in the cup. Looking at the fit pics reminds me that the 3HC has kind of a high cup towards the strap. I have 2 on the way and didn't ask for reduced cups. Did you find that the plunge fit smaller than the HC? I agree that it's not typical.

    • Thanks Sonya. It’s still pretty workable. And if I lose a little weight, it might fit better.

letstalkaboutbras no my plunge is fitting bigger, especially with the added depth. The matching bottoms for the plunge do fit smaller though. What did you order?

    • I got AIDA as a 3HC and Matthiola. I asked for high-waisted bottoms for the AIDA set. I'm nervous about both. I got the same size for each, but didn't reduce the cups which I feel like may have been dumb. I take a 60HH in the plunges with reduced cups and got 60HH in the 3HCs but requested added depth at the wire (first time with that alteration) and the usual 2cm straps inward and overlapping gore. At the last minute I talked myself out of one of the unlined styles. Maybe after I gauge the fit on these.

    • Yeah, I’m really interested in an unlined style, but really kinda want to nail down the lined stuff first.

    • Calluna Did you see Comexim's FB post from the other day regarding Joanna being the new owner as of 01/01/20?

    • 1

No but I heard about it from someone. I will have a look for the post. My time on Facebook has been minimal recently. Mostly to manage my groups.

    • No but I heard about it from someone. I will have a look for the post. My time on Facebook has been minimal recently. Mostly to manage my groups.

    • So I wore this yesterday and I think it’s feeling a little but tight because it’s a little bit too small. It’s also a tad shallow. So I think that going up in the cup but with reduced cups will be fine. I also don’t think I need reduced gore. Overlapping or narrowed, quite possibly though. So either 65J or 70HH (depending on the band stretchiness) with the straps moved in and the cups lowered will do the trick. I’m not sure if I need 1 or 2 cm, but I think I will try a 1:1 first.

    • Calluna Are you thinking of doing these alterations in a plunge or a half cup? If it's a half cup, you may just want to email them first to make sure they'll do it... no one is ever sure if they've actually lowered the cups in half cups or not.

    • I was thinking about them for a half cup (maybe plunge in 65HH/70H). I think my only other alternative would be to get the 70H with full gore height and maybe more depth at the wire. Your 65J Honey Cookie was definitely lower than the Belen of the same size. Not a lot, but enough to make a difference. I still have to put the review for my Hot Chocolate up...hopefully soon. With that one I have less of an idea of what size and alterations I would need to improve the fit. I have a lot of options when I take into consideration the bras and sizes and alterations and fits I’ve had so far. Like this one, it’s very close, but I don’t know what I need.

    • That bra is so much prettier in person! It seems like it’s always like that for Comexim.

    • 1

Oh thanks cupandahalf !! I really love the mauve shimmer straps against my skin tone. I’m trying to figure out how I can get a whole bra this shade or close to it.

My first Comexim that fits! So all the rumors are true - fabulously narrow center gore with overlapping wire, cups that push the girls up/forward/together - all without pads. The band is a bit tighter than a standard 32 band from Panache but not uncomfortable (my tight underbust measures 29). I normally wear 32F (although on small side) in UK sizing and the 70H in Comexim is perfect. The cup is very slightly too shallow for my FoB set, but not uncomfortable or visible. The wire imprint was about 1 cm below my imf. There was also some slight gapping at certain angles on my smaller side - but again, not very noticeable. For my next order, I think I move the straps in 2 cm (I have sloped shoulders) and possibly request a bit more depth in the cups (as a few others have mentioned on here). Otherwise, so in love!

    Didn't fit

So again, I was apprehensive about this bra after ordering it. Based on measurements, advice from other Bratabasers, and advice from Wellfitting, this bra should not have fit me. But it does. The cup is equivalent to my other 30GGs that I set it against, which is why that works for me. The band? Well, the band is odd. Technically, it's a 32 (because it's 70), but it doesn't stretch far enough for that. Instead, it actually only stretches to around 28.75"-29" (I can make it stretch to 29" without hurting it). I am actually closer to a 29" band, which obviously doesn't exist. My 28GG Deco is ... just a bit too small in the band, and it actually turns out that the 32G Deco I bought and had altered (actually ON my body) is now a 29" as well. Cool.

Thankfully, it is pretty much a perfect fit, which means I'm confused about sizing yet again. Ah well. I love this bra, even though it is a basic. It gives great cleavage (parallel to my ill-fitting Deco, but better looking since it fits) and is quite comfy. And for being a basic bra with a basic 'nude/beige' color, I think it's adorable. Love the little bow detail in the middle.

Again, I think I'll be able to move the band tighter not too long from now, which is normal as I'm losing weight again (though if I could spot lose everywhere but my boobs/band, that would be awesome since 28s are much harder to come by). I'm very happy with my order and this bra!

  11. Basic Plunge Bra (170)

I thought I would do this brief write-up on my ride or die bra, the Comexim Basic plunge. (consequently, I just googled "ride or die bra," and it's the actual name of a product).

This was actually my first Comexim that I ordered from Comexim.pl, and I ordered this before I even tried on any from BreakoutBras.com - which I highly recommend if you don't know your comexim size.

Looking at all of the data on bratabase, and the size chart on their website, I arrived at this size, and it only took about 3 weeks to get to get shipped to me in Canada! This ... was back in March though. Even though my back measurement was 29", I did size up in the band to the 32 - I believe I determined this by looking at their own size chart, at 71cm it put me in the 70 band.

Some further thoughts regarding Comexim's basic (and some links). According to some bra bloggers, Comexim basic runs .5 - 1 cup small https://stackdd.com/comexim-basic-bra/, and http://catchingarrows.blogspot.com/2015/02/comexim-basic.html#more Also, according to stackdd's (the petitie collegiate?) review, the cups on the basic are shallower, compared to her other plunge bras.

Hmm, interesting. I found when I overlapped my two 70H plunges, Pearl Mint plunge and the Basic, https://www.bratabase.com/picture/dpyci/ they appeared the exact same pattern. So, I surmise the fabric of the Basic plunge is tougher/firmer, and therefore the fit is different. side note: if one wants "maximum boost" I say go for the Comexim basics! either the plunge or the 3-part half cup (3HC) basic, as I believe it is the strongest material, and thus you will get "max boost" of your breasts.

Lastly, I noticed that some people think that it's not a good enough t-shirt bra, and I'm honestly kind of confused, see pic here https://www.bratabase.com/picture/dm2cp/ Okay, the bratabase logo is right over where the seams are, but you honestly can hardly see the faintest of seams.

I think the band is extra firm on Comexim basic, I definitely need a 70 band is the basic plunge, but I was okay with a 65 band in a more silky fabric, like the Comexim Jasmine.

I fantasize about getting this bra as a basic t-shirt bra...but I need to finish losing weight (motivation?).

I am glad you mentioned the firmer fabric/band. Such differences are what you REALLY need to know when debating sizes/models for bras that are less "available" at bricks and mortar stores.

Also, loled at the "ride or die bra". :D

    • AllyBra , thanks for your comment! I'm glad you could laugh at my joke, lol.

I do notice some subtle differences btwn my Comexim plunges, & might do a little write up about that? Namely, the padding is lighter on my 70HH - Comexim » Arizona Plunge Bra (408) and my Comexim Pearl Mint Plunge. Which is good for summer, imo.

The padding is thicker on Comexim Basic Plunge, and my Charme Plunge that I just received. Charm plunge I want to wear only in Fall/Winter, it feels a bit thick to wear in summer.

Anyway, I think sometimes the Basic can be hard to fit sometimes, I'm glad you commented. Yes, I think it can feel both small in the cup and small in the band, compared to some of the other plunges.

It's a good sturdy bra! I'm not sure if I am drawn to the "nude" bra b/c I'm from a conservative background where you don't show a red brastrap (or something)?? I'm branching out to other colours, but I also like a beige bra for it's versatility.

      Okay, have a great day! : )

  12. Vivien Plunge Bra (169)

I was worried about this one as I ordered it (along with an Arabella half-cup) after I read that the Basics run a cup size small, and I have one of those in a 70H that fits perfect. I was relieved to find that this one fits pretty much the same in the cup except ever-so-slightly looser, which will be fine since I have days that I'm bigger than others https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> I was a tad disappointed in the band though. It is much stretchier than the Basic and has 3 columns of 2 hooks as opposed to 4 columns of 3. While the Basic is snug on the last set of hooks, on this model I need to go to the middle hooks to get the same fit. However, it doesn't ride up or anything on the last hooks so I think it's okay.

What a beautiful set this is. I'm in Canada and was lucky enough to having sizing help from www.braconfidence.ca from whom I purchase all of my Comexim and EW bras. The fitter suggested 70H in this one. Comexim bras sold in Canada now have UK only size tags so this is a 32FF. On first wear I had slight quad boob as shown in the pic but this was fixed simply by loosening the shoulder strap a bit. This is my very first half cup bra. It gives me an extremely round, lifted shape and, while the seams show a little through clothing, I think I prefer the appearance of the vertical seams only as opposed to the seams of a plunge. The underwear have no leg elastic so if you like wedgies, these are perfect for you! Maybe they would be OK under a skirt but with jeans they do hitch up. Still, they are so pretty and it is nice to match.

    • Finally, underwear that is definitely going to give a wedgie! Isn't that what we've all been dying for?? (sarcastic alert!)

I know what you mean about it being nice to have a matching set or so, the only downside is when part of the set is so uncomfortable that they get to match in the back of the drawer and not on a body. :P

    • Ilol that's all true and I do wish they were constructed like my Comexim Pantera or Poison Ivy undies which stay put. Haven't tried them with a dress yet.

  14. Clara Plunge Bra

This is my second attempt at purchasing Comexim through Breakout Bras and it was quite an adventure. The bra was initially shipped with the wrong tracking number, then lost in transit, and finally arrived with one wire slightly bent which gave the whole bra a quizzical expression.

Once these issues were dealt with though, the Clara has been a fantastic experience. The bra is beautiful and comfortable, and the gore came overlapped as standard without being requested. The scalloped edging is a nice detail, and I’d love to see this on other styles in the future.

My only real criticism is that the interior uses a different kind of seam covering than my other Comexims and this one is a bit coarser. It is definitely not as soft and smooth inside as my other plunges. The band does also seem stretchier than some Comexims, so that’s something to be aware of. Overall though, I would recommend.

This is a bra that I have lusted after for a long time, and finally bought. I also have an Angelina, Ginger, and Pearl Mint Flower; and they are all far more attractive in person. Most of them look great on the websight, and become even more radiant in your hands (and on your boobs).

However I didn't find that to be true of the Geisha. While it's a lovely bra, it's not stunning in person, it is understated and sophisticated. You could probably wear it as a nude tone if you were a medium/dark skinned person.I'm Jim Gaffigan colored, so it's not practical for me in that ... way (but a great tshirt bra). I really thought the lace would interfered with wearability, circa ck tease me, but it's not visible.

I would highly recommend this bra to other women who take a 28GG/30G uk bra with soft tissue and teardrop/natural round (mostly) even breasts. I wish the cups were taller on the sides, but I'm 6'0-6'1. This may not be an issue if you're "average" height and have higher breasts or shotter roots. Over all, super bra, beautiful construction, pretty understated material. Well worth the $31.00 I paid for it.

Side note: I couldn't find very much info on the fit of their brief or string cut underpants, so I bought the XL. It's an ok fit on my 39" hips, but I wish I had bought the L instead. I feel the same way about the Angelina string I purchased. Not bad, but I wish I'd ordered a size down.

This bra has the tightest band of any of my Comexims. It also has the narrowest strap placement, making it the most comfortable. I can move my arms without any rubbing! This bra is sooooo pretty! I love the navy lace and the delicate eyelash lace trim. Like most Comexims, this gapes on my smaller side, but I ordered it with cookie pockets so I can mostly fix that. The strap attachment is a little less comfortable than my other Comexims--I wonder if they forgot to move the straps in on this one. The band is a little less stretchy than my other Comexims, but it's a little longer to compensate. I love the "C" charm in the center--I know it's for Comexim but I can pretend it's monogrammed for me!
