The Comexim Honey Cookie Plunge bra is perhaps the most beautiful nude bra I've ever personally handled. The lace cup overlay, satin base fabric, and shimmery center gore bow are lovely. There is scalloped embroidery on the fully-adjustable straps and bows at the strap-cup junction. Speaking of the straps, I did find it odd the band-side of the strap has extra length beyond the end-stitching - 1.5 cm worth - which I realized could be leveraged to let out the straps, to make even more length to accommodate low-set breasts and/or an extra-long torso, which is brilliant (I would have so appreciated this in my ...latest acquisition, an Empreinte with too little strap length!). The seams on this Comexim are all very neat and the workmanship is so tidy. It's not surprising the bra tag reads Linea Artisana - because this is artisanal-grade work. Those of you who prefer an overlapping gore will enjoy this plunge with close-set wires; the wires end up almost on top of one another due to the way the wire channels are brought together and overlapped. The three part cup construction is nicely done with an extra bit of fabric covering over those seams on the cup interior. There is "padding" but it's more of a thick liner - about 0.3 cm deep. This helps the cup keep its shape without adding too much volume. Finally, I love that there are three hooks. I don't see this often in the sizes I wear, and I wish it were more common. The added rear band depth and hook add a lot of security for me.
Fit-wise, I'm afraid this bra isn't a keeper for me. It's a shame, because even for a bra that fit me poorly I found it really comfortable. It's just a shape and size mismatch. The bra cups seem a little too small (I normally wear a 32F US/UK) and I get big-time quadding to the extent that I don't feel supported, and bending over causes my breasts to leave the bra. The very narrow and somewhat low center gore is also an issue for me. While I don't have wide-set breasts per se, I have very soft tissue and it tends to mush inward if not supported. The immediate projection of this bra is not enough for my shape, though the wires were comfortable. Read more 302 more words
My shape: projected, FOT, narrow tall-ish roots, very close-set with lots of inner fullness. The only alteration I requested for this bra was cookie pockets so there should be no difference in fit from the standard cut. I ordered this custom from Comexim in 65M but the tags say 30J.
In the past, I've been more partial to Comexim's 3HC cut - I had found the shape of the plunges a little pointy with not enough depth at the wire. However, this bra fits so well that I've changed my mind completely. The plunge (obviously) suits my inner fullness much better than the 3HC in the same size. The ...gore casing is overlapping at the top (same with all the bras I received in this order) but I didn't request it.
The shape I get in this bra is very rounded. The gore does not tack - I think Comexim wires are too flexible/soft for this. I'm not fussed about this as gores that do tack (e.g. Panache/Cleo balconettes) tend to cut in on my inner fullness anyway. Wires are a medium-narrow width and depth at the wire is adequate. The apex of the bra is a little more east/west than I prefer but the overall projection of the cups is fairly forward-facing. I do tend to migrate towards the middle of the bra after some time wearing it but it's otherwise comfortable.
Appearance-wise, the bra is a lovely light beige with a soft sheen. The lace overlay is a slightly lighter colour than the cups and has a scalloped edge. Beige bows adorn the bra at the straps and gore and the straps also have a satin-y triangle patterned edging which is a nice detail. They are also fully adjustable. The cookie pockets I requested are a beige mesh. The light beige of this bra is not a nude for me as it is too pale for my light-medium warm-toned skin but it still functions well as a nude under clothing.
Overall, this bra is stunning and I'm really happy with the fit and quality. This is possibly one of my new favourite bras/cuts. Read more 243 more words
My first Comexim that fits! So all the rumors are true - fabulously narrow center gore with overlapping wire, cups that push the girls up/forward/together - all without pads. The band is a bit tighter than a standard 32 band from Panache but not uncomfortable (my tight underbust measures 29). I normally wear 32F (although on small side) in UK sizing and the 70H in Comexim is perfect. The cup is very slightly too shallow for my FoB set, but not uncomfortable or visible. The wire imprint was about 1 cm below my imf. There was also some slight gapping at certain angles on my smaller side - but again, not very noticeable. For my next order, I think I move the straps in 2 cm (I have sloped shoulders) and possibly request a bit more depth in the cups (as a few others have mentioned on here). Otherwise, so in love!
I got my bras yesterday! After a quick try on 3 out of 4 fit!
All of them seem to have overlapping gores. I did not request this but it does work for me. Does anyone know if they commonly do this for 55 bands? I don't want my measurements to screw up the database.
First forays in comexim... I bought this bra after buying the basic plunge in 34H, and feeling like the band was a little loose. So I got this one, 32HH, and for me it doesn't fit quite right. It's a plunge style with alterations, so the gore is raised and the cups are lowered so it fits more like a balconette. The gore doesn't tack because I think it's too high for me. But then it's kind of gappy at the top of the cups! Hum..... Anyway, I will be listing hoping it will make someone else happy!
This bra is so beautiful and well made, but it is too big in the cups and gapes on the top/centre. I love the band length, though. If I were a better seamstress, I would try and put a little tuck in to eliminate the gaping and make it wearable. It was altered from a plunge to a balcony bra with a raised gore and reduced cup height.
This bra's measurements have been altered
Bra has been modified into a balcony bra by increasing gore height and reducing cup height.
I LOVE this bra! Except it's a smidge too small in the cups. My breasts don't settle into the cups as I had hoped and I tend to quad-boob out. Really wished I had sized up! Otherwise, this bra is amazing. Band is firm but has some stretch to it and provides a lot of support. Cups are soft and supportive. Lace detailing is beautiful and not visible through clothing. Very pretty light sandy color, with a flattering peach undertone.
Would recommend for a U.K. 32 G all shapes or GG with lower fullness. I am a bit too full on top for this bra, but am a solid 32GG in Freya plunge styles.
*i have since ordered another Comexim plunge bra in a 32HH, which fits perfectly.
Will be listing this bra soon- please take it off my hands!! Only worn a couple of times, hand washed and air dried.
Band is one or two sizes up than what I would typically prefer (since I bought this off another bratabaser), but the band isn't stretched out since I got it new, and it's snug enough on the 2nd/3rd set of hooks. Usually I get a bit of gapping at the top edge and outer corners of the cups (which isn't visible though since the cups close off, so it's just that I don't fill them all the way), but I fill them out pretty well during my time of month. The cups do come a little higher than I prefer, but this is more of a style preference than anything else, so next I'm hoping to try either a plunge with reduced cups or a 3HC.
