Looking for unpadded Curvy Kate.
Is anyone selling any unpadded Curvy Kate bras in 38g or 36gg? I'm especially looking for Portia and Princess.

So I'm taking part in a group Ewa order, and I want to order at least one for my mom too. She's a 38HH (though sometimes wears a 36J with an extender because of the narrower wires-which we won't need to do with Ewa) and I have no idea what size to order for her. Can anyone recommend something that might be good? Thanks

I'm confused by your advice -why did you say the bras run small and then advise she size down by 3-4 cup sizes?

Sharing one of those rare moments of bra magic, and gratitude to coledarling for the zulily tip that made it possible.
I received my violet mix Ariza set today and it is W. O. W!!! I had been stalking it in a 30H/32GG-ish, and went with the 32GG because that was the closest available size. I could use a ... 32H, but this one is definitely wearable. The band is perfect, but the cup can cut in on my larger side in some circumstances.
I was very surprised to find the wires weren't too wide (like the Andorra, for instance). The lift and support are also much better than expected.
And ohmyfreakingod is it beautiful. Full review and stats forthcoming.
Coledarling, I owe you big
Am now officially in the market for all colorways in 32H. Anyone got a spare?

Congrats, on a great bra and a bargain!
ahh im so happy you found it :D :D its always awesome when you get your hands on the perfect bra :) i'll call in my favor eventually... ;)
I just got some bras in the mail today from a redditor, and I have to say that wearing a proper sized bra is like night and day!
I tried on all the bras she sent me first, and two out of the four fit!
I then compared how my old bra fit compared to the new ones I received today:
Old: straps ... too wide
New: Straps don't feel like they're going to fall off!
Old: Felt very um, saggy? Not lots of support
New: Sturdy bras, sits just right everywhere
Old: Sucks
New: Awesome!!!!
I'm so excited to finally be wearing a proper fitting bra! I feel a tad more confident, and a little more grown up (no longer wearing the same size I've worn since...omg forever!)
Thank you Bratabase! Thank you /u/thebrafox! Thank you /r/ABraThatFits!

That is wonderful!
I was searching ebay and found this listing of seven 30FF Fantasie, Fauve, and Freya bras. Looks like UK shipping only. Thought maybe someone here might be interested!

thanks for this! i have a friends who's just measured 30FF or 30G and itd be great for her to try out before she commits to buying bras in her new size. contacted the to see if they might consider shipping to the US- fingers crossed :)
well, for anyone interested, theyll ship to the US for £7.50. i dont think im gong to win the bid because it seems someone's set an automatic, but if someone else in the US wants them they can shoot the seller a message and im sure theyll offer what they did for me!

My friend and I both have flared ribs. I'm okay after slightly bending the underwires, but my friend is having a lot of trouble - her ribs are all bruised and purple A band size up makes bras not supportive enough to avoid killing her shoulder, so right now the choices are bruised ribs ... or excruciating shoulder. She is wearing a Rosa Faia one (which is the worst offender), a lacy Simone Perele one, and a Huit demi cup (styles unknown because she cut off the tags, argh). I am thinking a longline bra might help, but I don't know if that would be comfortable pushing flared ribs in. Anyone else have these problems to such a degree or have any suggestions as to what kind of construction might work for her?

My ribs get more sore if I need to go up a cup size- has she re measured lately? Tried different shapes? Other than that, wire bending is my only trick. Maybe something with padded wires (panache sport etc)?
I have no experience with this myself, but I think a longline probably would help as it would spread the load over a greater surface area. In regards to the longline pushing the rib flare in, I think definitely try the band size up - I know your friend finds the next band up causes shoulder pain, but with the extra support provided by a longline perhaps that wouldn't be such a problem?

I purchased a Venezia (Real Wear) unlined cotton 42-C back smoothing bra and it covers my back just fine, but one cup wrinkles. I will try to alter the cup.
I just would like to know where to purchase more of this brand. (I got this new through Ebay and cannot locate another. Does anyone know where to find more of this brand?)
Thanks for any help.

I'm not sure Venezia is a true standalone brand (at least not one that currently exists). I'm seeing evidence that Lane Bryant once had a clothing line called Venezia, and Wolford (a higher end European lingerie and stockings brand) does still sell a bra called the Venezia. Maybe post a picture of the label?
Thank you. I do see Wolford bras and they are really expensive. I probably own one of the last Venezia unlined bras. It is very comfortable, but I don't see the style and not really want to pay $150 plus for a bra.

My question...is it possible to add fabric to a 'too short' back smoothing bra? I purchased (USA) Cacique Lane Bryant (unlined cotton 42C) and I still hang over the top of what they label as a 'back smoothing' bra.
Help..need ideas. Thanks.

Have you tried different methods of swooping and scooping? My method is to place my hands high on my waist and ease everything forward.
Thank you. I really have never tried that method, but will sure give it a try. My best solution would be to go 'bra-less. Wish bras had never been invented. And I do know, of course, bras were invented by a man and men should have to wear them and suffer for a day.

I have a 32H - Curvy Kate » Romance (CK1501) (Exchange or sell $30.00) which has been sitting in my closet NWT, collecting dust. I decided to try it on again for kick and giggles since there's been no interest in it, and it's tolerable with extenders and tucking. I'm considering removing the tag and putting it into my rotation. Quick, someone convince me otherwise.

Take a few pictures, the hive mind will tell you if it's reasonable to keep it!
Yes why not take some pictures :)

So the colourway affects the fit -- which I knew, of course, but it was really brought home to me when I found the black Freya Gem Balcony Bra (1361) fit me, I felt like singing, at last by pure luck I'd found the perfect cup depth for me ... only to find the beige colourway was too ... deep. Only by a smidge, but that's all it takes to just feel that tiny bit shabbier.
And lately, since discovering the black Gem's cup depth, I've been playing around with exploring by measurements etc, to find bras with promising measurements and decide whether I should order up or down a cup size etc. I've even found myself on the measurements tabulation page (eg http://www.bratabase.com/browse/freya/gem-balcony-plunge-1361/30FF/list/) for each bra I'm looking at, in an attempt to see the range of measurements. And it occurred to me, what I'd find really helpful in that table, would be a note field stating the colourway. Just so when I'm scanning the list of cup depths, I can see if the black consistently runs shallower or the red consistently runs deeper etc. It might make bra-hunting a tiny bit less pot-luck?
I don't think the colourway field need be factored into the calculations, since averaging takes care of it over time, but to have the information visible for those who like to dig deeper might be useful. That way at least I'd be able to better estimate if there are any beige Freyas which might fit me. As it is, I'll be sticking to the dark colourways for Freya, unless I can try them on first. Which is a pain, because I really need a nude bra!
(It just now occurs to me there could also be a note field, a star or something, indicating whether the bra is pre-owned? Wouldn't make a difference to cup depth, but would definitely make a difference to band length, right? Frex, I have a pre-owned 65FF - Ewa Michalak » Chp Milady (329) . There's no way a new 65 EM band would fit me, but because I've added the bra back into the database, people looking at the table might see that it occasionally comes in a longer band and might be fooled into ordering the wrong band size? I'm sure Bratabase already factors this into its calculations for exchanged bras, but not all exchanges happen through Bratabase so a visual guide could still be useful?)
Thoughts? Jj ?

I'm still trying to find sizes that work and I know I would definitely find such features useful.
this would be great- i know i have a purple andorra fullcup thats supposed to run smaller, and i worry it skews the whole page!

In my limited experience the padded styles run slightly smaller. So I 'm typically a 30gg but both the PL and S were too small in that size. So I'd suggest starting her off with an S style in 85G. But as I'm sure you heard it's mostly luck if you get your EM size on the 1st try! If you have the $ I' also order an 85FF just in case and whichever doesn't work sell it. Also, how does this group order thing work?
