There isn't a way to search for bras from a brand by season, is there?

I tend to get scraped up by lace on the bottom edge of my bra under the cups. Is that just because of my awful posture, or is it also because my cups are too shallow so the band isn't gripping tighly enough? Or is it that my band is too tight?

Once you've scooped and swooped, do your wires sit flat against your ribcage? With the gore flat in the middle and no breast tissue escaping out the sides? If so then your cups are probably deep enough.
With the hooks at their loosest at the back can you still pull the band away an inch or so? Then it's probably not too tight.
Maybe you have rubbish posture or - is your waist bigger than your underbust? Sometimes the bottom of my bra digs in simply because I get wider :)
Or maybe you're more sensitive than some. Do you react badly to all lacy bras or do some offend more than others? The laces manufacturers use can vary hugely in softy factor and some can really feel like sandpaper!
It's hard to say, can you link to a particular bra that causes this problem? It could be lots of things--your posture, the shape of your ribcage, a fit problem, or a design/material quality issue with the bra. Some bras certainly have cheap, scratchy lace that I could not wear for 10 minutes even though I can wear a lacy bra all day if the materials are comfortable (see my bra list for multiple examples).
Do you have other reasons to suspect you have insufficient depth in the cups or a too-tight band? Maybe do a fitting request and people will help :-)

I need to buy myself some cookies/pads/inserts in the interests of correcting asymmetry, and maybe every now and then to pad out a bra which runs big in the cups (the joys of buying online...)
My problem is I have no idea what specifically to buy. Is there a certain shape that's preferable? And more importantly, a size? One eBay retailer ... kept going on about size small/medium/large which fits cup sizes A-B/B-C/C-D. Obviously this can't correspond to actual cup sizes, which go beyond D, but as a 30F/FF I'm left at a bit of a loss as to which to buy.
Anyone more knowledgeable care to educate me?

If you go to a sewing store (like a Joann's Fabrics, if you have that where you live), they typically sell a couple of different types of pads. Not a ton, but a few. The important thing is that you can pick them up and look at them and get an idea of how big, how smushy, etc they are before buying.
I know I've read that a lot of people who are correcting asymmetry usually prefer the gel / silicone "chicken cutlet" style. I don't know why that is, that's just what I always see people saying that they use. Those things are kinda heavy though.

So, I'm sort of in love with EM's CHP style, though I've never tried it. They do a lot of really neat colourways for just that style. I'm terribly curious about something though... They list it as only going up to a certain size, even for custom sewing, and yet there are some shots of their bustiest model wearing it. Do they sister size her in like there's no tomorrow? Do they make one just for her to model? Do the cups actually run quite large? What's going on there?

Isn't it that sometimes they make them in the S or PL styles, which have a wider range?
I hear they initially make wider size range but when they run out of fabric, they cannot make them anymore. Could this be the reason?

There are new bras on the site, and I covet the PL Orange BUT I've heard the plunges run differently than the other shapes. I wear 75FF in SM and CH. Any suggestions?

The plunges definitely run smaller, so I'd probably order a 75G.
The PL Orange is stunning!
I can only compare the PL and the SM. I find the PL somewhat smaller in the cup (and stretchier in the band) than the SM, but nowhere near a full cup size. I wear the same size in both styles. Maybe the size difference between the styles depends on your breast shape, and possibly on specific models of bra?

65G - Ewa Michalak ยป Sm Trefl (361) (Exchange or sell $45.00) Though I new it was a size too small I hoped it would work because it's a soft bra, but it didn't

So I have a question I'm hoping someone can help me with: I've noticed that what really takes away from the support I get from my bras is the center gore's triangle shape. I've lost a bit of weight and I feel like my breasts are closer together (which is weird because they're not really much smaller) and toward the ... bottom of the triangle is so far apart that it cuts into my breasts, doesn't sit flat, and causes me to feel unsupported. Can this be fit easily by someone who doesn't really know how to sew or should I just try to find different types of bras?

Some bras have a wider gore than others, and the shape of the wire also comes into play. But you can easily stitch up the gore (triangle) so it's closer by pinching it and sewing up that part. There are tutorials around--I don't have one handy, though. I've done it and it works but keep in mind the band will be that much shorter and the cups will often sit slightly differently.
I am the same. Wish they went straight instead of our onto the triangle. Stitching it together does help a lot, but it also changes the angle of the underwires so it alters the fit a bit.

Is anyone selling any unpadded Curvy Kate bras in 38g or 36gg? I'm especially looking for Portia and Princess.

So I'm taking part in a group Ewa order, and I want to order at least one for my mom too. She's a 38HH (though sometimes wears a 36J with an extender because of the narrower wires-which we won't need to do with Ewa) and I have no idea what size to order for her. Can anyone recommend something that might be good? Thanks

In my limited experience the padded styles run slightly smaller. So I 'm typically a 30gg but both the PL and S were too small in that size. So I'd suggest starting her off with an S style in 85G. But as I'm sure you heard it's mostly luck if you get your EM size on the 1st try! If you have the $ I' also order an 85FF just in case and whichever doesn't work sell it. Also, how does this group order thing work?
I'm confused by your advice -why did you say the bras run small and then advise she size down by 3-4 cup sizes?

Sharing one of those rare moments of bra magic, and gratitude to coledarling for the zulily tip that made it possible.
I received my violet mix Ariza set today and it is W. O. W!!! I had been stalking it in a 30H/32GG-ish, and went with the 32GG because that was the closest available size. I could use a ... 32H, but this one is definitely wearable. The band is perfect, but the cup can cut in on my larger side in some circumstances.
I was very surprised to find the wires weren't too wide (like the Andorra, for instance). The lift and support are also much better than expected.
And ohmyfreakingod is it beautiful. Full review and stats forthcoming.
Coledarling, I owe you big
Am now officially in the market for all colorways in 32H. Anyone got a spare?

Congrats, on a great bra and a bargain!
ahh im so happy you found it :D :D its always awesome when you get your hands on the perfect bra :) i'll call in my favor eventually... ;)
If you at the brand page that has all the sizes on the bottom part, that page should say what season, what year and what color. Here's an example:
