My First Ewa Michalak, this may be the unicorn for me!?
About me; I think I am FOB, with short roots, narrow to average width roots, centre full, close set, pendulous, somewhat narrow shoulders, slightly flared ribs, and pudgy tummy https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />

Guys, I think this is the one!! Now I understand the hype around EM bras. Just wow, this fits perfectly so far. No gapping or digging. Straps are a good length with not too much or too little stretch. Slight wrinkling at the bottom of the cups but I don’t think it’s significant enough to be an issue. Perfect gore, it ... came overlapped. I was worried the straps would be too wide for me but they’re actually perfect. The band is snug but comfortable. I like the shape it gives me, not pointy, somewhat rounded and natural. This is the first unlined bra that actually gives me some cleavage!

I bought this from a local store online that just restocked EMs (they’re usually sold out). It was pricey but it would have cost me more to buy from EM direct. I decided to get the bright fuchsia because the only other ones were dark colours and I was worried they would be too tight. Also, I’m tired of boring colours haha. It is lace lined with a light knit fabric, the tops of the cups have stretch lace which is great. If it didn’t have the stretch lace, I’m sure it would have cut in a bit. The bows are cute but seem like they would show up under a shirt a bit, not sure.

So, everyone was right. Ewa Michalak is a bra magician!

UPDATE: band was too tight but I wore an extender which worked well and eventually the band stretched enough, yay

Looks great! EM bras are my favourite too. I have the same bra in beige and it's one of my best fitting bras.

    • 3

happycat thanks! Now I want more LOL

    • 3

This looks awesome on you! Fabulous color. I love EM, BM’s. They’re my favorite. It’s like the bra gives boobs a lovely uplifting hug.

Happy2BraShop thank you! The BM is so perfect for me. Ewa is a bra genius!

Thanks Rozelyna ! EM has it selling on her site too, just sayin’

I loooove this one! I just ordered it today!

    • 1

damaries nice! I hope it fits for you

I am also center full, close set, short roots and Ewa BMs are my best fit. I overlapped my wires and took the gore in a tiny bit because they were still sitting in breast tissue. My only complaint is the straps in my best fitting size are too wide to wear under my sleeveless dresses. In an 80E my boobs look amazing and they are super comfy. I tried 80DD and it still fits (as long as I’m not on my period) but it ever so slightly compressed the top of my breasts, but the strap width is soooo much better. My next best fit is a Comexim plunge with the wires overlapped at the gore and straps moved in one cm. It’s not quite as comfy but the cleavage is insane!

    • confused thank you for the info! This one would not fit me during my period I’m sure. The band is a bit snug for my liking but I’m hoping it will stretch out a bit. I’ve been trying to decide what to try next from EM and was eyeing some of the plunges and S cuts. EM gonna drain my Bank account LOL

    • 1

The Plunges were weird on me, the A
apex was set so wide I didn’t like it. The SF I couldn’t get as good a fit either they all hurt. I never tried an S though!

    Didn't fit

About me: FOB, pendulous, soft tissue, centre full, close set, short roots, narrow shoulders, deflated upper tissue.

My first SF and I think I love it!

This is the SF in raspberry (Rodalit). I wasn’t really looking for another “pink” bra, however, this was on sale at a local boutique in my size and I wanted to try an SF with the possibility of returning/exchanging. It is a true raspberry colour that is quite stunning in person.

Fit: I did post a fit check as there was wrinkling and space at the bottom when I first tried it on. But as WildWolff suggested, I tried ... it on again and adjusted the cups in multiple areas, really hiked the bra and band up, and tightened the straps. It worked! (If you have an SF with the same space/wrinkling, try this first before judging the fit) There is still some wrinkling at the bottom but I think this is due to the nature of the stiffer fabric
On the bottom half of the cups. I did before and after photos so you can see how much of a difference it made (and yes it takes a long time to adjust LOL) Straps are a bit wide set for my liking but they’re not uncomfortable so far. The band is TTS, cup width is great, and boy does this give some major liiiift! I love the rounder more uplifted shape it gives compared with the BM for me.

the fabric is a soft silky raspberry lined with stable somewhat stiff black material, and tops of the cups are a stretch raspberry mesh. The hooks are only 2x4 for some reason, I find it’s been random with EMs for the number of hooks in my size range.

Overall, it’s comfortable and I like the shape it gives.

EDIT: BM is more comfortable for me, the wide set straps are kind of digging in my armpits, but the shape is better. Hmm, I’m hoping that loosening the straps will help the discomfort without compromising the support...

    Almost perfect

This bra is like other EM BM bras and fits me almost as well as the others. Narrow but not too narrow cups, narrow gore, and enough immediate depth. But I have some in cup quadding. However, after trying a 75FF, I think this is the best fit I’m going to get.

The colour isn’t my favourite but I wanted a neutral or black EM and there were slim pickins at local stores. It’s a very dark brown with red lace and accents. The material is soft, softer than my all lace BM.
The other thing that was disappointing was that there are only two hooks rather than three. All of the other EMs in my size I’ve tried have 3 hooks. I guess I better double check in the future.

I’ve worn this bra a few times now and posted some better pictures. It’s comfortable and supportive enough that I’m still wearing it and keeping it.

About me: FOB, somewhat pendulous, need immediate projection and average apex projection, centre full, narrow to average width, soft tissue

Yes! My favourite bra (or one of them) . I know, there's not so many available in Canada. At least you know your fit for the next time you order?

    • 1

BraOdyssey yeah I’m pretty sure this is my correct size so now I’m just waiting for a sale lol
Yours had two hooks too right?

    • Yes. I think all the ones from boutiques here have only 2 hooks? I'm not sure.

Or this is new in their manufacturing. I "had to" (lol) buy this one for the colour b/c I don't look good in black, but BM Chilli looks like it's black/red.

    • 1

It looks great on you! I had no idea it was brown, guess I don’t read descriptions very well lol. I thought it was black and red. I totally agree with you on the 3 hook thing. I have a few BM’s with three, but the rest have 2. I think at some point in time they switched over to 2 hooks for the under GG cup sizes.

    • margesimpson, so are you saying that BM Roz is made of a different fabric? https://www.bratabase.com/browse/ewa-michalak/bm-roz/ not stretch lace (or just less stretchy lace?) I thought they were all the same.

I guess it would make sense depending on who they buy fabric from. Interesting...

    • 1

Happy2BraShop thank you! Yeah it’s such a dark brown though it pretty much looks black lol

    • 1

BraOdyssey yes they are different materials for sure. The BM Roz is less stretchy and more firm especially I the upper half of the cup and has three hooks.
Also all of my other EMs had three hooks so I was surprised that this one had two.

One of my favorite colors in my favorite bra. The green is so stunning in real life. Yeah, it's basically an all green La Gloria, but I shrunk out of mine, and I couldn't pass this one up. My left and larger side has a little quadding, but overall I think it's a great fit.

This looks great! I’m kind of shocked I own a 60L from you- the fit on this is soooo good- looks really comfy in the armpit region.

    • 2

cupandahalf I'm beginning to think more and more that those bras didn't fit like I thought they did. Honestly, my weight loss journey has kinda taught me a lot about my body. My breast tissue may have fit the cups, but my band size was too small. Hands down. I still kinda struggle with sagging/droopy-looking tatas every now and again, which bothers me a lot, but I'm learning to accept myself.

    • Also, thanks veggiechic and Frazzleberry :)

    • DerangedDragons19 I feel the same way about my smaller band larger cup bras. I kept sizing up cup and down band but I should have gone the other way.

    Didn't fit

This is one of my favorite bras, but I started wearing BMs long after it was sold out and never got it. It's been on my wishlist for years.

I saw a set pop up on a polish craigslist type of site and the 75F size was such a tease! So close yet so far https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
Being obsessed with the bra, and bad at financial decisions, I had my friend martka00 get it for me.

It came and surprise! It was too big, far too big. I sadly listed it.

The other day I decided to just keep it and experiment with it. ... I couldn't wear it anyway and I didn't have it listed for much so I thought it was worth a try.

    I cut it up today.
This was really stressful for me, because I can't sew very well. I have a sewing machine, but I don't even know how to thread it. I've never really altered anything and the last time I needed a band taken in I paid Noob to do it for me.

Not knowing how to sew a zigzag by hand, and unable to use my sewing machine, I needed to figure out a way to cut the band down without undoing and reattaching the strap material along the wing. The original hook and eye set of this bra was really small and there was no way I was going to be able get all that material back into it once it was cut down. I ended up using two three row black extenders I had around but had never used. I removed the hooks from one and all the eyes from the other. These were tall enough for my purpose and even though the wings are still wrinkled from being crammed in there, I think it worked out pretty well!

Now the band stretches to 29" exactly, which is my happy place. Cutting down the band so much also moved the straps in towards the center which is good as they were wide before.
With a smaller band, the cups fit better. They are still too big and the upper lace is too loose for me, but I don't think this is visible under a shirt and I may just leave it as is. I've left the cup measurements blank for the time being, until I decide if I'd like to alter them or not. I'll need to actually wear it for an extended period of time to see if the loose lace annoys me.

I'll update here if I alter it more, but I wanted to get this down before I forgot how I did it.

I also added this as a new bra and marked my original measurements as no longer owned, so the dimensions of this bra in 75F are preserved.

Update: the wires were too wide and were digging into my underarm and sternum, I couldn't tolerate them with movement.
I swapped them out for 65F SM wires which are both narrower and shorter. This provided immediate relief from wire pain but left a lot of excess material at the gore. Out of curiosity I folded it down which pulled a lot of the lose lace taut. This bra is not, nor will it ever be, an amazing fit but it is good enough. It's wearable and it doesn't look awful. I would still love to actually have my size, but I'm really pleased with how it turned out.
I added a few pictures, if you look at the angle and side you can see the marks on my body from the old wires.

    • Glad your bra surgery was successful!

    • You did a really nice job! It looks great on

    • Nice! I wonder if altering the cup would also be a possibility, to sorta make the stretch lace tighter so it's not flapping around. But then that would also require cup depth to be altered and I can't even begin to figure out how that is done.
Maybe out btb seamstresses can pitch in with ideas.

    • 3

I think, if I do mess with the cups, I will either tack excess material to the bottom of the wire channel along the vertical seam, thus reducing cup height. Or tack the material to the wire channel along the horizontal seam and reduce apex and upper depth.
I could also put in a dart, but that might require more skill than I have.

    • You are very brave do this yourself! How is the wire for your frame?

    • 2

brasaremean they are too wide and a bit too tall. I'm not sure yet if they're painfully so, though.

I do have narrower wires I can swap them out for, but I think that would make the depth problem worse.

    • Impressive alteration! I wonder if I could do this with any of my ill-fitting, but pretty bra. You have given me so many ideas!

    • 1

I always fear wire replacement would make the cups deeper too. I think it would require a complete cup reconstruction to actually make it fit, but also if you think about it, the breast that escapes (if you have soft tissue like me, it literally fills out the cup to the wire no matter how wide it is) to the wire would be contained in the new wire, so maybe it wouldn't happen. Does that even make sense?

    • brasaremean It does to me since my breast tissue does the same thing. The path of least resistance for the breast tissue. This only works if the cup is compressive enough to squish the tissue sideways though, so may not help in the cup is too big to begin with. :-/

    • 1

Wow! I see you can’t let go this bra! :D I’m looking forward to see you end results as looks promising !

    • 1

      I really can't martka00 !

I'm wearing this today as a test run. Thinking about my solutions to the loose lace issue, I'm not going to be reducing it vertically. I'll probably lose wire projection if I do and it is so blissfully deep at the bottom, I don't think I want to give that up.

I think reducing it horizontally is also not the solution. Ewa's sister sizes do not scale, so while in theory this should be a 65G now, it is not. I'd say it is more a 65FF but with extra tall cups. I'm not having any trouble filling the bra out where it needs projection, which is why I'm getting a nice shape out of it despite the lace being floppy, the lace is simply laying on the shallow part of my upper roots where there's nothing to fill it. If I want to fix it, I will have to dart it. I may not as it seems to only be an aesthetic issue and not a fit issue.

brasaremean my tissue is moderately soft, but I have pretty narrow roots and even if I squish down, my breasts don't really go to the sides, so I can't fill out wider wires. If I wear a bra that's too small in the cup it just squashes me down and hurts since my breasts are firm enough through the center to push back against that pressure even if there's space that could be filled on the side. Does that make sense?
My issue with wider wires is my rib cage is really boney and I find Ewa's wires really hard, if they sit on my rib cage they sometimes hurt a lot. These are not awful, about .5" wider than I like, but we'll see.

    • 1

Did you try bending the wire to follow your body curve? Then just bend the ends slightly away so they don't poke your underarm tissue.

    • 3

Yep, I do that with all my bras actually since who the heck has a flat torso?

I bent the ends towards each other to make them slightly narrower also, but that only helps so much.

They've been okay so far, but I've also not been really active yet today.

    • 1

      ikr I don't know why wires don't come pre-bent :/

    • 1

I altered the wires and gore. I added more pics and updated the review.

    • Wow! Those alterations made such a difference. It looks beautiful on you.

    Didn't fit

I ordered this bra knowing full and well it will not fit: the band will be too big, and quite possibly the cup will be too small. MamaPagan is a terrible influence cause I told myself: It's for bra science! And it's one more bra to add to the database! Is there really any harm in that?!

The real reason I did it was to test out the cut (not so much the size, as the size is all the way off), but not at full price--I found SM Malinowy for dirt cheap on some German online store. It was the last in its size (and one ... of the last in general), so I guess that's why it was on sale. After a lot of back and forth they agreed to ship it to me (ayyyyy) and here we are.

The things I wanted to see with this bra are: is the non-stretch lace a detriment to my asymmetry/soft tissue, and if I need to size up in cup for this cut.

What I learned is... the non stretchy cups actually are not that bad at all. In a cup size up it would be perfect on my larger side, and it would maaaaybe gap slightly on my smaller. Even in a cup too small the difference between the two is barely visible, and the cutting in is not as severe as some other bras I have (khm khm 32FF - Fantasie » Alex Side Support Bra (9152) . So now, I am willing to give the SM bra a try direct from EM store at full price, at least once.
Btw this bra gave me a huge confidence boost. Since I realised there's probably a whole cup (if not more) difference between my boobs I've been obsessing over it like a crazy person. I constantly think it's very pronounced (but probably nobody but me notices).
The brilliance of this cut is that the top of the cups are not finished with that elastic thingie so many bra manufacturers like to put at the edge of the lace, and the lace is delicate enough that it will not cut into my tissue severely. A slight cutting in... I'll take it!

This cut, in my opinion, gives the best shape out of the three of Ewa cuts I tried. It's perfectly lifted and round. I was worried the cups would be too short, but really, the coverage is about the same as my BMs.

The cups have zero stretch to them. None whatsoever. But they have similar construction as the BMs. The little piece that connects the straps to the cup is a little different but essentially still does its job. Really the whole bra is pretty much the same apart from the fact it's not stretchy at all. For some reason, I feel a lot more... 'contained' even in a too large band (on the tightest hook it works, though). Oh and it only has two rows of hooks, not the 3 BMs have in this size.

Can I just say that this colour is magical? It's a very bright, vibrant raspberry and the detailing is done in equally vibrant orange. So, so beautiful.

So overall, I'd call this experiment a success. Actually this bra is very comfy, I kinda don't wanna take it off. I do think it flattens me out a little bit (square boobs?), but alas, small cup will do that to you. The flatenning is also probably due to the too wide wires, if there's space at the side for my soft tissue, you bet it will fill it!

For the love of Bra Science and the database! Hooray!!! :-)

Keep in mind that the fit on the SM style is not universal, as the cut is slightly different dependent on the lace/materials used in the cup. Koralik didn't fit me while Tattoo did In the same size. Yennifer looks like more coverage so I would imagine it to be a different fit, though Kaska stated it's closest to Tattoo......

    • Yes I would imagine it would be different but I think in a 70G there will be enough wiggle room so long as the bra doesn't run very small.

    • 2

This bra is so pretty, and it looks very nics on you! So glad you had a good experience

    • 1

That's possible for sure. I will try another SM soon, but my order plans changed when she did the new release as usual. The SM is my next challenge though for sure. I will figure it all out....or go broke trying haha.

    • 2

      Wow, this looks really good.
      Surprisingly!
I would've never know it was a too large in the band if I hadn't already seen you in well fitting bras. Your boons look much wider here than they normally do. Well, all science put aside, this bra can now also be a super comfy day bra when you don't want to bothered with wearing something that is firm and still want some support. I would recommend shortening the band, but that would most definitely cause the cups to become super noticeably small.
This looks ALOT prettier in your pictures than on the site and I am beginning to hate Ewa's site for all the pink, white, black, and biege. Even though I primarily lean towards black bras...I want fun colored bras, especially in my non-padded varieties. They make me feel great about my self.

    • It does fit fairly well all things considered! And it's a comfy bra, like the lace is so soft I wanna sleep in it!
I do love fun colours in bras, I have long dreaded when I have to go out because that means putting on a bra (mind you this was in my really-wrong-size days) and so I kind of was trying to alleviate that by buying fun coloured bras, and it stuck.

Are boons the side fat. Cause yes exactly that haha.

MamaPagan I want the Fetysz so bad, I want it to work but I'm worried it won't lol. SM bras are very pretty (I think Yennefer looks like a good candidate to figure out the fit (also it's gorgeous).

veggiechic the colour is made of dreams, I swear.

    • 1

I have 7 SM/SMN bras on my want list, as they are sexy and would be more appealing to the hubby. I hesitate as well though since Koralik was not a sexy or appealing fit for me, so I totally understand.

    • 1

Aaaah between MamaPagan's review of Tattoo and this one, I want to try the SM bra

(Side note I feel like Koralik is pretty -I like corals and pinks just not anything too bright- but I'm a bit wary of the fit)

    • 1

Double posting because I clicked the add comment button too quickly and can't edit . Also want to say that this colour is very fun and pretty and looks great on you ;) brasaremean

    • 2

Kaska advised against me trying Koralik in a 60L as she doesn't feel it will solve the fit issue but I am planning on trying it anyway on my next order. Bra Science! Assuming it doesn't sell out prior and there's no new releases before then. It really is a pretty Coral color.

    • 2

Hey if you want it and they will make it, then why not try it, right?

    • 1

      Exactly!

    • 2

What a difference natural lighting makes on the colour! It does look great on you despite the fit issues.

    • 1

Indeed it is incredibly pretty and warm. I expected a more red colour from the photos I've seen.

    • What was the German outlet store you purchased it through?

    • it's not an outlet store, it's something like Korbchenliebe... something.

    • Thanks!

    • 1

      mamacatts
Wow. It's more beautiful than it looks like online! I'm glad that you tried this one for bra science. I've done that before and I'm the one who came up with bra science in one of my reviews, which MamaPagan loved. I'm glad that you have done this because I am really struggling to figure out what size I need to order in a BM given how my SM fits. I'm going back and forth between 65F and 65FF. At least with the new ones. I might need 70Eor 70F with the tighter bands. I know that with BM Bibi Black, to stick with the smaller cup size, but that's it. It looks like, with the measurements, that I might need the larger of the cups, but I am unsure how the stretch lace will be with my shape. Ugh. So many decisions.

    • I will be ordering a BM in 70G to see how it fits compared to 70FF (which fits well enough).
In this one, I will 100% need a cup size up, so a 70G.
The calculator gives me 70G as well. Kaska said it may be overestimating my size cause I have compressible tissue, and my smaller side would get zero support in it, but for my own peace of mind, I'm gonna try.
They do recommend if between sizes (which is what I am) to go for the smaller size but I don't understand the logic behind that.

    • 1

I wear one size up from a BM for an SM (at least, with Tattoo when it fit). I think 70G will work for you. I have a pretty bad asymmetry and I haven't noticed my smaller size having any less support fitting my larger breast. 🤷🏻‍♀️

    • 2

Btw my first BM was the Bibi Black which I now realise was a big mistake. I wish I'd gotten one of the other ones because Bibi Black gave me some unrealistic expectations about BMs (mainly in how roomy the cups are).

    • 1

Sovavosi thank you! It does make me feel a little better you saying that. The 70FFs I have are all good, like I can wear them, I don't feel uncomfortable, but second half of my cycle I'm quadding with a vengeance on my larger side and it just looks bad (and makes me feel like I constantly have to readjust and pull the cup up to cover it). I'd like to be covered for that part of the month lol.

    • 1

brasaremean Bibi black was my first experience with Ewa bras too! Jaimie said I should try a 65JJ in that and it was a disaster. Band and cups way too big.

    • 2

Yes Calluna I do love your Bra Science idea and now use it regularly as it is so fitting to our cause!! :-D I hope you don't mind!!

    • Sovavosi Understandably so cause it runs large in the cup! The 80E (so 2 sister sizes up from 70FF, right?) runs large in the cup on me right now (band being too loose aside--a rixie clip solves that).

    • 1

MamaPagan it is very fitting (ha!)

    • 1

      No pun intended, right? ;-)

    • 1

MamaPagan i don't mind at all. I love that you love it and that you use it and share it and now others also love it and use it. And I don't know why that other user got tagged. Sorry mamacatts! I missed it when I had a chance to edit it.

So if my 65F SM Wrozka is borderline small most of the cycle and definitely too small after ovulation, should I still stay with 65F in a BM?

Double post, sorry. Anxious tappy tapping fingers. 😂

    • 2

lol Boons. What I meant to say was your BOOBS look very wide in this bra comparatively. I don't think it looks like side fat though, more like those Fantasie models in the full coverage molded bras.

    • 1

Oh gosh Calluna, I wanna say go for the FF. What does their calculator give you? For me it gave me 70G which I think is about accurate.

    • 1

LeProfessor I was like isn't a boon a good thing? Why's she calling my side fat a good thing :D

    • The Universe was saying Mamacatts needed to join us again, Calluna, particularly in this conversation, haha!

I'd say it would be dependent on the BM model, but 65FF would be a safer bet like@ Brasaremean stated. Unless you want Bibi Black, Flamenco, or Klejnot. Go with 65F for those.

    • The calculator on Ewa's site gives me 70E or 70F. It changes with minor measurements adjustments. I'll redo the measurements now and screenshot the results. I redid the ABTF calculator this morning and got 28G/GG and 30G/GG depending on the measurements and whether I rounded the figures or not (ie snug measurement can be 28-28.5" and loose can be 29-29.5". Overbust is 36-37" (but more like 36.5-37") and so on.

    • Did you measure in cm?

A 30 band sounds about right to me. And I think you should definitely go for 65 in EM with that. Because for all her talk about her bands running tight, I've not experienced that at all. It literally takes 3 wears for the fibers to stretch and it fits perfectly.

Btw when I measure my tight UB on Ewa's site I do it super tight. Like, breathe out, and then squeeze as tight as I can.

    • Here’s the results. I played around with a half to whole cm to see if it would give me different results. All gave me 70F. That said, I’m day two of my cycle, so I don’t know how much it might change in a week or so.

      https://imgur.com/a/6PB4cHx

With the abtf calculator I did both in and cm. I’ll redo the measurements and post them after I flip the laundry.

    • Yeah at 72 and 75 cm I also get the 70 band but like I said, I'm personally more between a 30 and 32 right now. The 70 band on newer bras is kinda loose, not too bad, but on the old ones I have (Fluo and Fioletowy) it's perfect.

    • 1

I think in single layer bands I would go for a 65 too (even the old ones). They are very stretchy. Double layer bands for old models 70. Double layer for new models 65.

    • Yeah, I have heard that the new bands are more tts than the past. I'm definitely going to start with 65 with new BM, but check measurements if it's older.

The other issue is where to order from and which style. I'm about to meet up with someone who is buying stuff from me so I'm going to add $30 more to my bra fund. I'll be nearly at $100 CAD. The Cabernet from Broad is $125 unless they have a BF sale (which is not a big thing here in Canada but it's catching on so they may or may not do anything). I spoke with Forever Yours and they are expected to get Baklazan and Rubin in December but they don't know exactly when and if. And I would love to visit Forever Yours, but they're just far away enough that it's a 90 minute ferry ride, plus the drive out to Langley (which if we drive, add $80 each way for the ferry) is like another hour I think. I'm still not sure what the options for walking on the ferry which is way cheaper are to get from the ferry terminal to Langley. I have friends on Langley but I'm not sure if they are able to do a ferry run. I'm toying with Ewa directly with Black Friday, but I still don't really know how much I am going to need to order. Plus the wait for delivery. And delivery is probably best to the states and then to me to avoid DHL. And we have a rotating postal strike so I really don't know if it's wise to order anything from outside the country right now. Ugh. I want a Baklazan so bad. I think that I prefer it over the Cabernet, though I think I would be happy with either. I don't know what to do!

    • 1

For what it's worth Baklazan you would probably be better off getting the larger cup because the lace is very very soft and prone to quadding. Nothing serious (and nothing even close to Ellace lol) but it does happen.

    • 1

Btw did you also check with SFYS?
      https://www.instagram.com/secretsfromyoursister/

They don't have an online store but they do often tweet about EM bras which makes me think they have them in store.

    • Well, they don't have an online store that I can find lol.

    • Well, technically Broad Lingerie has an online store but it's a very small selection, so ordering the Ewa will be a non traditional sale as it is not really listed, but they have it as part of their in store collection.

    • Yeah, I noticed that.

    • Here are the ABTF calculator results in both in and cm. There's a little variation on the measurements just because it really has a small window of sizes for each aspect. Under bust is snug at 28" as well as 28.25" or 28.6" (though increasingly less so as the tape relaxes) and same goes for the other measurements...over bust is in the 36-37" range depending on how loose it is and whether I include the nipples (which Ewa says not to). In any case, the last measure in cm is the most relaxed set of measurement and the closest to the size I wear now. It used to say "28FF/G but you might be more comfortable with 30F/FF" but now it's so much bigger. I can only imagine it's overestimating because I have soft pendulous tissue and am functionally short rooted with even to fob and center fullness. Anyone care to interpret the results based on what they have seen on me? Lol. Sorry to hijack the thread.

      https://imgur.com/a/2ufON7e

    • *28.6=28.5"

    • 1

Honestly Calluna , I really feel that those calculators are for a starting point, beginners whom have never had a well fitting bra. I think you know enough about your bust and what you are comfortable in to not care much about what the calculators say! Though they are fun to play with to see if they match what your range of bra size is.

    • 2

I can tell you that the ABTF calculator, for whatever reason, puts me at 34E or 32F or 30FF or something. Really my results range like that depending on the day with just a cm up or down, and have since I found it (it's why I ordered a bunch of 34Es and 32Fs when I first started this). Even now.

Which, I think the calculator is amazing for starting your bra journey but it's not the end all be all and is definitely not 100% accurate.

You should see Boob or Bust, that one gives me 28HH and I don't think I'd even be able to close that band on the loosest hook even!

Unfortunately, I haven't really studied how the ABTF calculator works at all so I have no idea. Things that come to mind-- chest expansion while breathing (the loose measurement on ABTF is on neutral breath with the tape held loose--your chest might expand more than that while breathing making a 28 band uncomfortable), soft, pendulous tissue confusing the calculator especially if your shape is more towards the conical side.

Hopefully someone else has more educated input.

    • brasaremean I think the old ABTF calculator was better than the new one. The new one puts me in a 28HH/J right now, I think. It doesn't deal with asymmetry that well IMO. It also doesn't ask about firmness or shape.

    • 1

My guess was that it has to do with asymmetry as well. Because of that I have moved on from it. And the loose measurement which for me just does not work. I have to take my loose on breath in because my chest expands a lot when I breathe and very tight bands make me breathe shallowly which I don't think is healthy at all.

    • You know, I did actually forget to fully inhale on the loose measurements but I did exhale on the tight. And yes, it's hard to be neutral for the over bust....there's a tendency to inhale a bit to keep the tape right. Which is partly why I have a slight variation with that particular measurement. And I do totally agree that it is a starting point. But whoa, it's just so overestimated...it's adding 2-3 cup sizes. There is no way I could do a 30FF Marcie, but maybe a Lucy or Kali since it's closed on top for short roots. And that 30FF Bardot I had earlier this year might be closer to fitting now than then, but she seriously cannot imagine anything larger in UK sizes. Polish I'm sure 30FF or 30G depending on brand and cut. I just think that the calculator thinks my tissue is firmer than it is and has the upper volume that it doesn't actually have. There's a page on the calculator's under and over estimating. I'm pretty sure that I bookmarked it...

    • Hm yea, I guess that all makes sense. I have inner fullness, and definitely freakishly tall roots, so maybe that's why the underestimation.

But it definitely explains all of your things too-soft tissue, short roots etc etc.

    • 1

brasaremean Not sure if you've seen this post:

      https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/comments/2lzkwn/discussion_how_many_of_you_have_projection_but/

I don't know why I didn't notice before you said it but I think we have the same vertical root shape. This might be helpful to you.

    • Yes, I have several of the characteristics that leads to overestimating cup size.

    • 1

Sovavosi THIS. My roots, I swear I have a thin layer of boob ON my collarbone (I'm exaggerating but yeah).
I know I'm even to FOB-ish but every single bra I try on for bottom full is acting like I'm FOT. I've been told that's just tall roots, but this makes so much more sense cause I feel like with tall roots you'd have obvious boobs (however small) on top, not only when you support them.

    • And that is why Ewa's BMs are so perfect, am I right?

    • Calluna , ABTFs overestimates my size too for the same reasons as it does for you. I have almost the same measurements as you, but I generally consider my size to be 30:7..sometimes 30:8. I think that BTB has been more accurate in predicting my size in general based on my measurements and what fits me. Now that you've tried a bunch of bras on and have found out what size range you're in for real, just go with what fits instead of the calculators at this point. Is there anyway you can try both 65F and 65FF in the bras you want, or is that impossible because of cost and shipping constrainst? It was so nice when you could just order direct from EM with regular post!

    • I to have breast shape like what is described in that link you posted Sovavosi . but I always felt like it was a very common trait though. So I always say things like "functionally short root with need for a slightly open top cup." Though I have seen descriptors like "functionally FOB with shallow tall roots and tons of projection at wire." And I honestly just ignore that tissue most of the time. It's never going to be supported by a bra because how high up on my chest it is, and no one is going to see that tiny bit of cutting on or wrinkling except for me. Funny enough I have managed to find 3 bras that work really well for me. They're all full coverage and have just enough stretch to cover yet support. I would say 4 but many would say the 1 "doesn't fit" because it cuts into my slightly. But IMO if something just indents my tissue, that's a fit to me. And in all honesty, I have found over time that I really dislike lace. I'm just not a huge fan like I used to be. I prefer a nice stable, limited stretch fabric like the bottom fabric of the Cleo Minnie Balconnet Bra (7431) nad the Claudette Paramour Underwire Bra (101015008) , but non-padded vertical seam bras seem to work best because horizontal seams always seem to require fullness while a well designed vertical seam bra will close in ever so slightly on the top and shape it's self to your breast while providing great support.

    • Pretty sure that I am always in Club Vertically Shallow Tall Roots too. I usually say deflated tall roots so functionally short roots, but vertically shallow tall roots sounds better. Any of my fan club is welcome to confirm this. 😂

Wilderness1 , it's lack of funds holding me back from trying out two sizes at once. I'd really love to visit Forever Yours...I wish I could find a cheap way of getting there. Because trying on is best. But at $125 for one bra, I definitely can't afford to try 2 at once. I'm not sure what FY is going to charge for the Baklazan, but the Ewas currently on the site run $80-90 iirc. And first order is 15% off. But can I wait until the Baklazan is in? I'm itching for a BM so hardcore right now. 😂

    • 1

And I have never actually ordered anything from Ewa's site. All my Ewas are second hand right now. I got them here and from FB at lower prices so I could experiment with cuts and sizes for bra science. Once I was equipped with fit and styles knowledge, then I planned to buy brand new. Which I am hoping to do now. Though I really want a few of the Comexim bras at breakout bras like Bridget half cup because brasaremean os a terrible influence, but such a lovely person. I'm seriously so jealous of all the new bras she has!

    • *is

    • 2

Calluna I'm just obsessive about *any given thing* and spend more money than I probably should, so definitely don't take my influence. My fiance has been very patient with me about this whole bra thing.
I did think the Bridget was a good deal tho!

    • 1

Me too brasaremean ! I get SOO obsessive about things, and I've been obsessed with bras now going on two years. I don't think it is going change any time soon. XD
And I'm totally jelly of all your new bra's too! I've been looking at my small amount of savings like "it won't miss a couple $$$," or "I'll work some overtime for a couple weeks," or especially "but it's 4 for 20 pounds!, 4 FOR 20 LBS!, thats crazy!"
I am SO GLAD you are in such an "average" size range that you have been able to buy second hand Calluna. My roommate on the other hand is a horrible influence on me he's like "i'm not gonna say nothing, you wear the same 4 bras over and over, you need new bras." But fortunately I AM a virgo with alot of self control or I could get myself into a lot of trouble with bras. lmao. There just aren't many people in my size range to purchase from anymore, and I am so terrified to purchase through braswap. Have you guys had any influence purchasing through there?

    • 2

Believe it or not I have a fund for these periods that I save for during my 'not so crazy' periods. I'm bipolar II so most time (like 90% of the time really) I'm functional. My manic episodes manifest themselves as months long obsessive shopping sprees (it used to be so much worse so I'll take it!) Work work work save save save spend spend spend.

    • 3

I can be too. There’s so much tea and hair products I want in addition to bras. And I’d really like to update my wardrobe. I need a few new basics. But my husband has been out of work for 2.5 years...for most of the time, we had been strung along on the new company buying/hiring the old staff but they first had to deal with legal issues that the former company owner’s parents were causing. Then they had to wait for another site to be acquired because of how they were going to interact. There were issues with the contracts when they finally got around to working on them and allegedly fired a bunch of HR people. Then the judge asked what was the status of it all...she even jailed some of the company execs for contempt of court. We’ve been sitting on what should have been just the judge ok’ing the contracts all year, to the point where our savings was beginning to run low that hubby found a job and began training and a few shifts. Only he only had his SIN number from his original temporary work visa while waiting on his PR (permanent resident) card which was expired and he had to go on a leave of absence to sort it out. He was supposed to get a permanent SIN number when he got the PR card but never did, and didn’t think anything of it because his job was US based. Then he tried to get the SIN number which was needed for him to legally work and he found out his PR card was expired and in order to get the SIN, he had to reapply for his PR. Card application #1 got lost, #2 was returned for incorrect information, but #3 was accepted...and with the help of our local MP (government official), it was expedited and he got the new card a few days ago, and now he’s got his SIN and starting the job again, with a second job with the same company that pays way better starting in January. We’ve been so tight and frugal for so long. I can’t wait for a bit more cash flow. It’s been so stressful. Our move at the end of August is saving us almost $200/month and yet we now have more space and an ocean view! I looked out of the window and saw the moon reflecting on the water and it is so beautiful...in my head I said, “I would not do that if I were you, princess” (from The Princess Bride when Buttercup jumps into shrieking eel infested waters). I’m rambling and should go to bed.

    • 3

I am glad things are looking up for you guys! Money/job stress can really do you in.

    • Yeah, it’s hard. And my hubby is cheap. He hates me spending money. I’m pretty good about finding good deals though. And I exercise a ton of restraint. But he just doesn’t understand.

    • Calluna Whoa. How incredibly stressful! Thinking of you and thrilled the government was motivated to expedite SIN and PR cards. As if loosing a job wasn't enough stress. Phew!!!

    • Calluna Whoa. How incredibly stressful! Thinking of you and thrilled the government was motivated to expedite SIN and PR cards. As if loosing a job wasn't enough stress. Phew!!!

    • Love4Pollinators yeah, because he had just started a job, with the second job offer in the same company, and the initial job is retail and they *really* needing him for Black Friday, the government rep was able to try to get the processing centre on the other side of the country rush it. Calling, faxing, etc. No cost to us. The MP is our local area’s federal representative in Ottawa. This (immigration and customs) is just one feature that they can do locally.

    • 2

Canada <3 I swear here nobody would move a finger to help you out!

    • 2

That's so great that everything worked out for you guys. Makes me happier that you guys are there instead of here because the government likely would've just said "eff you" and deported your husband. Even if shipping and buying in US is cheaper, it really has become a s**thole over the years. Which makes me thankful i am in the state im in, its one of the few states that still think of it's residents as humans and the cops wont just shoot a black person on site. the worst part of my state is pay and housing. they require to make 3x the amount of your rent a month and they follow federal minimum wage guidelines which means you can't afford anywhere to live. 900 USD for a 1 room apartment, that's like 1000 CAD I think? People even rent rooms out for what is half of the average pay check (400 usd - 700 usd) , and then ontop of that no one goes to the doctor because of the cost and having health insurance through an employer just takes too much of your pay to even think about doing. I worked 7 years at one place and was finally making 1200 usd a month come the 7th year, which is still not enough for your average 1 bed apt, but too much to get food stamps. When I was a kid my dad was able to take care of 5 kids, himself and my mom living in a 4 bedroom house with a car and a van with more than enough food making 50k a year. Now I am making 32K a year and still can't afford a 1 bedroom apt on my own. It gets better for the rich and worse for the poor. And the only governments that seem to care are the foreign governments who know more about whats going on here that most people in the US. XD . I'd love to get some where in europe or japan. I also hear in canada they are opening several neighborhoods that allow you to live in tiny/small homes! Here in the US depending on the state you live in, you are required to have like 300 square foot per person in the household, when just 20 years ago 5 people families were living in 900 sq ft homes. They said we are NOT ALLOWED to have more than 2 people in my 1 bed room apt even though it's almost 800 sq ft. Crazzy. The housing industry paid them to make those laws so that they could make more money! My apt is HUGE. My ultimate dream is to buy like an acre or 2 of land and build my small home there with gardens and livestock and not have to worry about working somewhere I hate every again lol.
I am so sorry for hijaking this thread and rambling aswell!

    • Also, his coworker from the old job that was the one who had been dealing a lot with the contracts and progress has decided to sue the company for breach of contract. The company had been given a deadline with which my husband and his former colleagues were to given a large sum of money to set up their own company if things were not complete. Well, they got a certain amount completed and convinced that things would be happening, including back pay, and so the guys chose to stay on instead of taking the consolation prize. The company has still failed to get the guys contracts and jobs. It’s been quite a while since that completion date. Who knows if we’ll ever see contracts, the equipment that was purchased for them pending contracts, the promised back pay, or any settlement. It’s been super frustrating.

    • LeProfessor when we left Orlando, we had a 3 br/2ba for $675. It was not the best area, but far from the worst. It was in between not so great and great. When we moved here, it was $1350 for 1br, admittedly fully furnished with all utilities included. We cut cable tv service and reduced to $1300. Our old landlord kept the price down for a decade. Now that we’re out, he is getting $1750! It’s crazy! We’re super grateful to our new landlords and them being flexible. We’re paying less here for 2br than the old 1br.

    • Thank goodness you got out of there! I know a couple places throughout DE charging similar prices. But they only ever get rented out on a short term basis from out of state business people. Hopefully you guys can get to similar point where you were in Orlando (could you imagine how much they're prolly renting that place out for now?!? lol) soon now that you've gotten most the way through crap card dealt to you guys. Best wishes Calluna !

    • 2

LeProfessor I don't feel like this is a common trait, at least not in my size range. I feel like it's important to share because it took me a long time to find it and understand why I have so may fit issues. I know that the upper root area shouldn't matter, but I do need a cup that is open enough or it starts to hurt. For me, if a cup is too small start getting a lot of pressure/pain at the strap area, which eventually turns into numbness in my hands. Unfortunately I am getting this with my new BM Sofia because of the tighter top section. Half cups in my size are too tall/open on top and don't work for me. To make them not gape requires them to be too small. Fit issues are fun, yes? ;)

    • 2

It doesn't help with the mental stress when everyone is overly opinionated on how a bra should fit (thanks to media & VS) and they feel compelled to tell you that you're doing it wrong, like they know your body better than you do, right?

While I don't have the same fit issues, I find there to be a fine line between quadding and gaping, and no amount of strap adjusting resolves it. That's why I love Ewa's SF and BM styles, as regardless as to the time of the month I can get a good fit.

@brasaremean I think you now win the BTB prize for most comments on a single review!!
And I think I have that same breast tissue to my collarbone too! Seriously though......o.O ...... :-D

    • What do I win :P

    • 2

Sovavosi Thank you so much for showing me that! I legit thought I was going crazy.
I do think this is why BMs fit me so well MamaPagan . It explains why Alex fits so badly, too! I was always devastated about that bra cause gosh it's beautiful.

    • 4

You win our affection and undying gratitude! :-D
I know what you mean. I've had so many bras that were so beautiful yet just didn't work for my boobs..... :-(

    • 4

Sovavosi with my latest breast root growth under my arms I started feeling the same shooting pain, so I know how you feel. At first I thought it was my work, but then I started experimenting and realized it was the bra wires combined with short straps (yeah, I got root growth vertically and horizontally, weird, huh?) I put some wider wires in my bras and switched out some straps for longer ones and now I’m wearing wired bras again all day. It’s a Christmas miracle!

    • 3

      Or a Halloween Hooray! :-)

    • 4

      Solstice surprise?

    • 3

      Thankful Thanksgiving Treat?

    • 4

      Too much assonance! 😫

MamaPagan brasandbodyimage BMs are my best fit but I keep trying her other cuts to see if I can find something else that works. I find if I have the same set of wires on all the time it ends up being uncomfortable, I need to switch it up. One of these other bras will work, damnit. 🤪

cupandahalf I'm glad you were able to figure out what was going wrong.

    • 2

Sovavosi Me too. That's why I have the SF, and keep trying the padded styles....and Comexim....and my Royce Sports bras. ...... Gotta have wire and strap placement variety to avoid sensitivity and random pains.

    • 1

I know Sovavosi ! They have yet to have a wonderful vertical seam only bra designed for you lovely very well endowed ladies! They're just now finally getting into well designed bras for larger busted women in general, especially those that aren't all over plus-sized. A mannequin is great for figuring out drape and fit but only to so much of degree, especially when it comes to bras! Then on top of that computers are only so good at grading for cup sizes. They're just now finally starting to figure out that women with small ribcages don't stop at an F cup. XD

And YEAH for cupandahalf and a more comfortable bra! ^.^

I hesitated on buying this bra for the longest time. I was worried it would be too girly looking and that the flowers would be too noticeable under clothing. I'm so happy that I finally ordered it though! It is so pretty in person and the flowers don't stick out too much at all. The fit is amazing and it looks great. I have found a lot of inconsistencies with EM bras recently -- especially with the gore height -- and this fits perfectly! The gore is 2.6" and is very comfortable. Love this bra!

I went on a whim and bought this set for my birthday. I feel like I romanticized it a little too much. I had this picture in my head about the colors of the bra, and while it's quite cute in person, I don't like them. I feel like they clash with my skin tone, so I'll probably send it back after I add measurements. The fit was weird for an SF too. I don't like how it sits on my body and it's just uncomfortable to me. I didn't expect there to be only two rows of hooks, which was another disappointing aspect, especially for what I paid for the bra. Overall just meh from me.

Bummer! I remember how much you wanted this one. At least it's returnable though!

    • 1

MamaPagan Yeahhhhhh. Sigh. Indeed. I'm happy it's returnable haha.

    • 1

Efectively the color scheme is not that much of a success. Idem for it being a 2 hooks bra.

What do you mean by not sitting well on your body ? I like to extend my learning curve, could you please elaborate ?

Is it an underwires problem or rather sidewise expansion ? An uneasy feeling of straps ready to fall?

Thanks, have a glorious day ;)

    • femineaaeterna glad you asked! It's more like I wasn't supported almost? I don't know if you saw my review for Malachite, but my breasts actually look a bit more lifted in that bra compared to this one. They just kinda sit in this bra.
The other thing was that I have really, super sensitive skin when it comes to bras. I wouldn't go so far as saying the material was scratchy against my skin, it was just unpleasant feeling adjusting the bra to have my tissue fit.
I just didn't like the shape I got with this SF, which was rather disappointing.
With my left side being larger than my right, it's hard to keep that underwire off my tissue, which is annoying and a little painful.
Just little fit issues that bugged me 🤷🤣

    • 1

      DerangedDragons19 ,
Thanks for the delicate attention ;) Right, compared to the Malachite further down my screen, it kind of looks "suspended" and not supported.

Which brings memories of back then, before my own ones, when I desperately tried slushy inserts. Hanging there but not mine.

These rescued vintage pictures illustrate a possible solution attempt to sidewise flow.

      https://drive.google.com/open?id=1C_L8-cHFI1i1r8TmrDRqS5a7Cf0zMxNV

Today some bras have very efficient concealed "slings" that work just great.

Brs are a very interesting structural engineering topic indeed ;)

  9. Bm Bibi Beżowa Perła (533)

This is a variation on the previous Ewa Michalak bra I ordered, 80E - Ewa Michalak » Bm Bibi Black (1000) , in a peachy nude colour.

I ordered this one in 75F. It fits beautifully, but the issue with Bibi Black I had was that the band stretched out very fast and now it rides up even on the tightest hooks. That being said, this one fits tighter than that on the loosest, but we shall see how it stretches out. I think I would not mind if it stretched out a little bit because then it'd cover me on those 'everything is too tight' days ... during my period.
Also, in this review I will mostly compare it to the other Bibi I already have, because I have no other EM bras atm. For reference, my larger side is the one where the tag is.

The bra is... a beautiful peachy colour. My photos really don't do it justice. I wouldn't say it suits my skin tone as a nude that well but it's not too bright and it is pretty much invisible under a light coloured shirt. I didn't notice any extreme nipple showing through the bra either. There is a very cute pearl pendant over the bow at the gore. So fitting and not tacky at all!

The lace is soft and very stretchy, making it perfect for my asymmetry, and the cups are pretty sturdy. The horizontal seam where lace starts cuts is on my larger side a little bit, I expect this to stretch out a little as well, as it did on the Bibi Black. If not, that's okay as it's really not visible under clothing unless you know what to look for. The seams in general do show a little bit under very tight or thin shirts. I think I do prefer the solid lower part of the cup over the lacy one of the Bibi Black. It just feels more supportive (and makes me very happy https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />).

Wires are firm, narrow, but very comfortable for me. They follow my imf perfectly. I do expect some sliding down on my smaller side... it's just a necessary evil to fit my larger side I think.

The gore tacks perfectly, doesn't cut in to either side and is pretty much a golden standard for how all the gores ever should be if that was my decision https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />.

The straps are honestly a little too wide set, but I'm used to it as it's the same as Bibi Black. The scallop-y edges of the straps are what bothers me personally, they rub against my skin and it can get pretty irritated, but again, this is what I experienced with the Bibi Black. After a while and a couple of washes it got better. The straps are a little short too. I did ask for them to be longer as I'm pretty low set, but idk if that change went through and I don't have my other bra to cross-reference right now. Unlike Bibi Black, I do not have strap gap with this one.

What I like about both my Bibis is that they give this... not-really-round-but-not-pointy-either shape. Breasts just look natural. Hopefully it is the same with all BM (and SF) bras as I'm about to make another order https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" />. I think this EM size might be the one, and it only took two tries!

Update: 3 weeks in, I have to fasten it on the third row of hooks. I do think Ewa bands run tight at first, however they also stretch out very fast. I suggest getting the equivalent of your UK band size in Ewa bands, at least in BM line.

    • This was one of my first 2 ewas, and my first BM, and I adored it!

    • 1

Yes it is not only beautiful but also very supportive. I wonder if I'm imagining it being more supportive than the lacy BM or if that's a real thing.

    • I LOVE the half lace BMs-they are my bra bliss. They fit better than the full lace BMs(which don't tack),sand so supportive and comfy that I can almost forget I am wearing a bra. I do love the full lace BMs and the SFs, but these half lace BMs are pure bliss!

    • 1

Yes right! I'm wearing it rn and am not itching to take it off. It really is a lot of difference compared to the Bibi Black. Now I'm torn between ordering the black one like this, or SF Kicia!

    • 1

I have Tulipan (the black one) and it is bra perfection. Bianca (White one) & Fuksja (black with purple) are the same. You can't go wrong with them!

    • 2

Oh wow, the lace on Fuksja is precious! So gorgeous

    • It really is! I think it's the same lace as on PL Dark Magenta. I am a total sucker for all things Purple. (And Green, & Blue......)

    • 1

Want some bright coloured ones as I've totally missed out on Absynt :( I'm surprised there's no more of these half-lace (didn't know that's what you call them) bras in different colours...
I ordered Rubin, Blueberry, Fluo and Baklazan today... Trying really hard not to spend any more money, and reasoning with myself Porto and Baklazan are very similar anyway...

    • I am hoping for more as well. She had a gorgeous blue one last year that i missed out on, & there's a few others in the database from prior years, but it doesn't look like she does nearly as many as the full lace BMs. I have Scarlet on order , which only leaves this one for me to get. Hopefully Zenith will be one, though it may be a SF instead (along with a padded version or two.)

    • brasaremean check out Forever Yours Lingerie in Langley, BC. I saw that they had Absynt recently, though I have not checked sizes lately. The new Rubin is hot pink and black (and also my maiden/family name).

    • Calluna thank you for this. I will try to order it however it doesn't seem to be accepting my billing address at all since they don't ship to where I live. Sigh.

    • Maybe give them a call or email?

Ooooooh this is nice! And it came faster than anticipated, which is a bonus.

I tried a CHP before in 75FF, but found it underwhelming in the cleavage department. This one, however, does exactly what I expected in the first place. It gives me cakes on a plate cleavage, with a round and slightly minimised profile. To my surprise, it doesn't push my boobs outside of my frame from the front, which is another bonus.

I've known that half cups suit me even before I discover proper bra fitting, but, since my first bra fitting successes were mainly of the unlined balcony variety, I kind of forgot how great ... half cups can be. It's nice to now have a bra option that doesn't project my boobs that far forward but up and to my chest for a change.

The bra itself lives up to its name; it looks like something that could be on top of a pale pink wedding cake. The seams are slightly visible through clothing, but not as much as the last CHP I tried (the Noir). It's comfortable to wear, and the band is perfect. I was surprised to find it has just 2 hooks & eyes, instead of the 3 I'm used to from Ewa, but perhaps that's due to the smaller cup size?

I'm so happy I retried the CHP. In the right size it really does amazing things for me. I have 2 Comexim half cups on the way too, so when they arrive I'll do a proper battle of the padded Polish half cups post https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" />

** ps: I've noticed that this bra seems to push my boobs together more than any other bra I own, more than my plunges for example. It almost seems like the gore is on my breast tissue, which is impossible, because my boobs are set quite far (3+fingers) apart. So how does that work? Is it because this bra pushes my boobs so far up? It's not uncomfortable...

Gorgeous! I thought I had wide-set breasts until I discovered Polish bras. When lifted, I'm close-set...

    • 1

perhaps that's it DressTheTwins. When I hand bra (that's a verb now) I can't get my boobs to touch without lifting them (well, they touch, but notbin a good way, more like they fold), but when I lift them they do get closer together. Who knew?!

    • 3

ChestyLaRue Good review, Charlotteke . Not only is this 75F CHP gorgeous, it gives you a terrific shape! I'll look forward to your battle of the Polish half cups. DressTheTwins is correct that the shape you get in a bra is the one you have to analyze for when choosing bras. By that measure, CHP is your cut!

    Didn't fit

I decided to try the S style again, and I'm still on the fence about it. My tissue is way too soft for moulded cups, so I just spill out of the tops, which obviously isn't ideal. My larger side has more issues than my small side.

I'm currently in between a 70FF/G, 75F/FF in terms of cup sizes, so I knew I'd have issues with my large side.

Overall, just a "meh" for me as it's kind of a fit fail for my super soft, pendulous tissue.
I'll just stick with the BM and SF bra styles from Ewa anymore.

Looks super cute on you, but I can see the minor issues with the fit.

    • Calluna thank you! Yes, I don't really think I could wear this bra for an extended period of time due to my tissue just constantly flopping out 😂🤷

    • 1

Yeah I have the same problem with deep plunges -- my boobs are kinda soft and very much center full, and also possibly close set! So I fall right out of plunge bras 🤣

    • 2

I love the colors of this one. It compliments your skin tone nicely, too bad it was too small for your larger side.

    • 1

I love This bra and would buy one in my size in a second.
My mom cant wear padded Ewas either because she is so squishy.

Too bad this isn't available in SF or BM. This colour suits you very well.

    • rainbrasspetals boobs are so strange 😅🤣 this isn't actually a true plunge though. My tissue just makes it seem that way. Looks are deceiving for this one for sure 😂

    • 1

MamaPagan hey thanks. Yep. Just got to lose that last 5 pounds and maybe it'll work out. Maybe not. Oh well. 🤣

    • 1

AGBras oh me too! It was actually a nostalgic purchase for me. Way back when it first came out, I owned it in a 32K, but outgrew it quickly with my second pregnancy 😅😂
Also, thanks :) I would instantly get it if it were ever released in either of those styles 🤣 love it.

    • I think I still own it in 32J. it was the first bra i adored on this trip and i keep hoping i'll lose weight some day

Oooooh - what a beauty! Sometimes I feel that EM is just recycling the same bra with different fabric, but Glamour changes it up a bit with lace and ribbon. The color is hard to pin down - its not brown or gray or mauve or taupe, but a soft and classy un-color; all of the above. The shiny stretch base fabric is covered with a layer of sheer net lace up to the top cup seam, where it is met with a zig-zag stitch-attached narrow satin pink ribbon, and a band of complimentary patterned geometric lace across the top of the cup is anchored by that same ... ribbon at the seam. The shiny un-color base is visible for the very top 1/2 inch. I should note that the net on the bottom part has an 'exploding flower' design and the tips are not attached, so they pop up, adding an interesting dimensional almost 'sparkle' effect. Similarly, the band of lace along the top section is not attached and it will fold down under a top if not adjusted to lie flat when dressing. The pink ribbon plunges at the gore for a nice effect, and is repeated up the first 6" of the straps. A mini-bow complements it all at the gore. Its all very classy and retro and suits the name! Size-wise, this bra is cut small in this size range. Compared to my S Kicia and other perfect fit 75F's, it is about a half-cup too small without the cookies and my larger boob bulges out. It fits similarly to my S Szykus. Manageable with reverse S&S: hello Marilyn! I'm a 32FF UK, so a 70FF/75F normally. The wires are very narrow. The band is also short for a 75, measuring only 80cm (31.5") fully stretched - and this is not a new bra, so it has loosened some. The ribbon is attached firmly and could create some in-cup quad for those who are more FOT. Glamour is, like most EM top of the line bras, exceptionally soft and comfortable to wear with zero adjustments for me all day. If she comes around used in a size up, I'm all over it because I want this look in my bradrobe forever!

Thanks for your review - i have one on the way, but several reviews had said the cups ran tall . . . hopefully mine wont be too small! I also went down a band because my 75s have been way too loose in Ss recently. Well, i only have about 3 more weeks to find out lol

    • 1

dbmamaz , I do not think the cups run tall at all, at least not in this size range or IMO. They are more open on top than a few of my S's, and don't come up as high on the sides as my 75 CHP's. Nothing like how tall a 75HH Comexim goes! Its also a fairly low gore, though, so lots of exposure in the middle too. And with an extender the slightly-too-small Glamour cups are fine, try that if yours is a smidge small.

    • dbmamaz , I guess it varies- my Glamour in 75gg is definitely taller in the cup and a bit loose in the band compared to my other S bras!

    • Yeah, maybe it was your review? I think I saw more than one (in larger sizes) saying it ran tall. I ordered it in 70K

    • because my 75JJ magique is driving me nuts. i really think I need to get rid of it.

As with most Ewa Michalak bras, this one is even more gorgeous in person!! The colors are so unbelievably unique. The cups and straps are a really pretty warm taupe/tan color and the lace over the cups is a few variations of that taupe/tan color with splashes of bright, almost neon pink. The bright neon pink is also in part of the center bow and at the bottom edge of the bra (which is a great detail I think!). The band is silky feeling and a bit stretchier than some of my other S bras. However, I wouldn't size down in the band since I do think it ... fits TTS. The cups fit perfectly - very similarly to my S Glamour bra. The only thing that bugs me is that the straps are very hard to adjust. I love the way the detail/design looks on them, but it takes forever to adjust them. Once they're in the right place though they don't budge at all though so that part is good. All in all this is a really stunning new EM bra from BraObsessed! Love it! (I'm actually wearing it right now and it is soooo comfortable!!)

You guys! This bra is soo gorgeous. The little straps on the front are adjustable so they lay flat against you, as are the ones on the sides of the matching panties, which highlighted my waist in a really amazing way! I found the actual straps of the bra to be very long, even though I'm very short I usually don't have to adjust straps all the way down and I did with these. The cup also was just too tall in construction for me, so it doesn't give me that round shape it gives everyone else and it gapes at the top. It doesn't bother me too much cause I think this is something I'll only be saving for special occasions, but it does perplex me as I've never heard anyone say the SM cups were particularly tall, so I wonder if this is an exception or if the SM style is just not for me.

    • I almost wonder if its a size too big. The SM is taller than the BM for me at least, and does not give me a rounded shape. My SM is lovely but i probably wont buy another

    • I agree they seemed very tall on me as well and I even sized down! It's gorgeous on you!

    • Oh I think I'm glad I didn't order this one (even though it's gorgeous). I'm right on the edge of the size range and I think I'd be swimming in the cups with my short roots. I still love the style so much though! I wish she had a wider size range in SM, not all smaller cupped ladies can wear the 3DM styles well.

    • bonjourhi I thought about it but I thought it was a little risque to show all the time lol.

dbmamaz I did actually think about sizing down but I worry if I did the cup would be too narrow. I might try if this was something I was going to wear a lot, but being that it's more of a special occasion piece I'm pretty satisfied.

gogobee thanks for the confirmation. I guess the SM just isn't the style for me ;~; I hope their half cups work out better.

      PetiteCollegiate Yeah, unfortunately I wouldn't recommend it for any fellow short ladies. I'm having so much trouble lately with my root height, I just can hardly find anything that really works with projected boobs on a 4' 10" frame ;~;

    • Oh, I would definitely keep it too! My first EM, neither bra was a great fit, but i kept them both!

Got this from Levana in the US. Description said it runs small in the band but the band only feels marginally tighter than my 80E BM Antonina. Some gapping on my small side but good fit on my large side. A little bit of pulling across the front, but I like the lower gore and lower cup height compared to the BM. I actually thought I was buying an S not an SF, I tried the SF Nibynic in this size and cups were obviously too big. Will have to wear it for a bit but overall I'm happy with it, unless someone sees something wonky on the fit! I love the subtle floral pattern in the purple.

This is such a gorgeous bra! I love the little black buttons and the bright purple/blue color of the bra (it's super pretty, but a really difficult color to describe). This one normally comes in the PL cut, but I custom ordered it from Bra Obsessed in the S cut. I did also make one other alteration to the straps. Instead of the standard black straps that the PL comes with, I requested the straps that are on the M cut of this bra. I have so many bras with black bra straps so I wanted something a little different. Plus I really liked the nude version of ... these straps that I have on my S Chalet bra. This bra is super comfortable and fits well like all of my EM bras... but I did notice that on all of the new S bras I ordered (I got this one, the S Purple, and the S Paradise) the gore is just a tiny bit lower than the EM bras that I got about a year ago. On those older EM bras the gore is about 2.5", and on the new bras the gore is about 2.25". The cup height seems to be the same though so I don't think this will be an issue, but I was a little surprised about the change. I've also ordered a few EM bras from Zathiya so I'll see if those have the same measurements at the gore (I know EM can be slightly inconsistent when it comes to sizing).

This bra is stunning! The purple color is so vibrant and I love the little embossed detail on the wings. It's so hard to find a really pretty purple bra so I was super excited when I heard about this one! This is the new Bra Obsessed exclusive custom ordered in the S style. I haven't worn it a whole day yet but it seems to fit comfortably like all of my other EM S bras. I did notice though that on all of the new S bras I ordered (I got this one, the S Paradise, and the S Nununu) the gore is just a hair lower ... than the EM bras that I got about a year ago. When I measure those older bras the gore is approximately 2.5", on the new bras they are approximately 2.25". The cup height seems to still be the same so I don't think this will be an issue, but I was a little surprised about the change. Sonya I am so lucky! I knew of her website before I knew where she was based out of, and when I found out she was in the same small town as me, I freaked out and booked an appointment as soon as I could lol

    Fits

This bra is so pretty! It's possibly one of my favorite designs/color palettes from Ewa Michalak. I was expecting the straps and hooks on the back to be white, but they are actually a very very pale pink! It's so pretty next to the peach color in the bra. I was worried that the ribbon across the top would cut in like the Comexims I've tried with ribbon along the edge… but it doesn't cut in at all! It's slightly more closed off, but I feel like it actually keeps my boobs in place a little better. It doesn't create any quad boob at all. The fabric is super soft and luxurious feeling and the bra is super comfortable - I almost forget that I'm wearing it! I LOVE this bra https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

So lovely!! Like you, this is my favorite E.M., and I usually strongly prefer jewel tones. But, the colors, pattern, and texture are incredible. Looks fantastic on you!!

Thanks! :) And yes, I debated for so long about ordering this one. I couldn't tell if I liked the design or not online lol. EM bras always look so much prettier in person!

    Didn't fit

Another round of EM bras to try! These are all what I could find in my sizes for sale in the US, do somewhat limited. All of the 75Fs on these have three hooks instead of the 2 on the SF Iris, which I prefer but I think it kinda wierd?? All are without extenders, like the Iris I feel like I'm between a 75 and an 80 band.

Aesthetically this bra is not terribly appealing but its a good functional nude color and the pearl and bow are cute. Probably about as flat as you can expect a cut and see bra to be.

Like the PL, I almost ... feel like theres something almost east-west happening on some of these pics?? I like the lower cup height, and lower gore, and less fabric at the strap attachment. The band feels ok and after breaking in I think would be fine. I tried an 80 and it was definiltey too big. It gives good lift, but I'm already sort of migrating toward the center, and In worried as I settle into it I'm going to spill out the center and then be gapping near the straps. I tried it with both cookies. I definitely need the cookie on the smaller side, could go either way on the larger. You can see in the side view a black mark (2 actually, but the one closer to the underwire marks the edge of my roots), and this bra is a little wider than that. I dont think I could get in a smaller cup size though, I think the center edges would dig in badly.

Overall I'm mostly confused by this bra, I can't really tell if it fits!

I wasn't sure about this bra when I ordered it... but in person it's sooo pretty! I love how soft the floral fabric is and I love the light pink accents against the navy blue lace and straps. The band is a tiny bit stretchier (though I still need to wear an extender at the moment) than some of my other EM S cuts (kind of reminds me of the stretch on the Chalet bra), but I actually really like this. I haven't worn it a whole day yet, but it seems like it will be very comfortable. While it fits like all of my other S cut ... EM bras, I do feel like the cups are a little lower (which I'm a little bummed about). However, I don't feel worried that I'm going to pop out so I'm sure it will still be fine. I did notice one other thing about my recent order of EM bras. The gore is just a little lower than the EM bras that I got about a year ago. When I measure those older bras the gore is 2.5", on the new bras they are 2.25". At first I thought "oh, that's why the cups feel lower" ... but the gore and cup height measure the same on all of the new bras I've ordered and the other two (the S Nununu and the S Purple) seem to fit just right in the cup height (weirdly they all measure 6.75" in the cup height too). I'm guessing it might be something with the depth or width of the cups that makes the cup height feel a tiny bit lower.

I have two of these! I really love them, however mine are PL and M, where in PL band is tts and M is size small, so weird yours is stretchier coz my both seems quite firm. I love this print, I wish I can have it in BM also!

martka00 They have it in an SF, which is similar to the half lace BM, I believe?

    • Sovavosi the SF doesnt work for me :(

    • Sorry! :(

    • That’s okay, at least it makes me to buy other bras as well :D
