Didn't fit

I ordered this bra knowing full and well it will not fit: the band will be too big, and quite possibly the cup will be too small. MamaPagan is a terrible influence cause I told myself: It's for bra science! And it's one more bra to add to the database! Is there really any harm in that?!

The real reason I did it was to test out the cut (not so much the size, as the size is all the way off), but not at full price--I found SM Malinowy for dirt cheap on some German online store. It was the last in its size (and one of the last in general), so I guess that's why it was on sale. After a lot of back and forth they agreed to ship it to me (ayyyyy) and here we are.

The things I wanted to see with this bra are: is the non-stretch lace a detriment to my asymmetry/soft tissue, and if I need to size up in cup for this cut.

What I learned is... the non stretchy cups actually are not that bad at all. In a cup size up it would be perfect on my larger side, and it would maaaaybe gap slightly on my smaller. Even in a cup too small the difference between the two is barely visible, and the cutting in is not as severe as some other bras I have (khm khm 32FF - Fantasie » Alex Side Support Bra (9152) . So now, I am willing to give the SM bra a try direct from EM store at full price, at least once.
Btw this bra gave me a huge confidence boost. Since I realised there's probably a whole cup (if not more) difference between my boobs I've been obsessing over it like a crazy person. I constantly think it's very pronounced (but probably nobody but me notices).
The brilliance of this cut is that the top of the cups are not finished with that elastic thingie so many bra manufacturers like to put at the edge of the lace, and the lace is delicate enough that it will not cut into my tissue severely. A slight cutting in... I'll take it!

This cut, in my opinion, gives the best shape out of the three of Ewa cuts I tried. It's perfectly lifted and round. I was worried the cups would be too short, but really, the coverage is about the same as my BMs.

The cups have zero stretch to them. None whatsoever. But they have similar construction as the BMs. The little piece that connects the straps to the cup is a little different but essentially still does its job. Really the whole bra is pretty much the same apart from the fact it's not stretchy at all. For some reason, I feel a lot more... 'contained' even in a too large band (on the tightest hook it works, though). Oh and it only has two rows of hooks, not the 3 BMs have in this size.

Can I just say that this colour is magical? It's a very bright, vibrant raspberry and the detailing is done in equally vibrant orange. So, so beautiful.

So overall, I'd call this experiment a success. Actually this bra is very comfy, I kinda don't wanna take it off. I do think it flattens me out a little bit (square boobs?), but alas, small cup will do that to you. The flatenning is also probably due to the too wide wires, if there's space at the side for my soft tissue, you bet it will fill it!

This bra is not owned any more

For the love of Bra Science and the database! Hooray!!! :-)

Keep in mind that the fit on the SM style is not universal, as the cut is slightly different dependent on the lace/materials used in the cup. Koralik didn't fit me while Tattoo did In the same size. Yennifer looks like more coverage so I would imagine it to be a different fit, though Kaska stated it's closest to Tattoo......

  • Yes I would imagine it would be different but I think in a 70G there will be enough wiggle room so long as the bra doesn't run very small.

  • 2

This bra is so pretty, and it looks very nics on you! So glad you had a good experience

  • 1

That's possible for sure. I will try another SM soon, but my order plans changed when she did the new release as usual. The SM is my next challenge though for sure. I will figure it all out....or go broke trying haha.

  • 2

    Wow, this looks really good.
    Surprisingly!
I would've never know it was a too large in the band if I hadn't already seen you in well fitting bras. Your boons look much wider here than they normally do. Well, all science put aside, this bra can now also be a super comfy day bra when you don't want to bothered with wearing something that is firm and still want some support. I would recommend shortening the band, but that would most definitely cause the cups to become super noticeably small.
This looks ALOT prettier in your pictures than on the site and I am beginning to hate Ewa's site for all the pink, white, black, and biege. Even though I primarily lean towards black bras...I want fun colored bras, especially in my non-padded varieties. They make me feel great about my self.

  • It does fit fairly well all things considered! And it's a comfy bra, like the lace is so soft I wanna sleep in it!
I do love fun colours in bras, I have long dreaded when I have to go out because that means putting on a bra (mind you this was in my really-wrong-size days) and so I kind of was trying to alleviate that by buying fun coloured bras, and it stuck.

Are boons the side fat. Cause yes exactly that haha.

MamaPagan I want the Fetysz so bad, I want it to work but I'm worried it won't lol. SM bras are very pretty (I think Yennefer looks like a good candidate to figure out the fit (also it's gorgeous).

veggiechic the colour is made of dreams, I swear.

  • 1

I have 7 SM/SMN bras on my want list, as they are sexy and would be more appealing to the hubby. I hesitate as well though since Koralik was not a sexy or appealing fit for me, so I totally understand.

  • 1

Aaaah between MamaPagan's review of Tattoo and this one, I want to try the SM bra

(Side note I feel like Koralik is pretty -I like corals and pinks just not anything too bright- but I'm a bit wary of the fit)

  • 1

Double posting because I clicked the add comment button too quickly and can't edit . Also want to say that this colour is very fun and pretty and looks great on you ;) brasaremean

  • 2

Kaska advised against me trying Koralik in a 60L as she doesn't feel it will solve the fit issue but I am planning on trying it anyway on my next order. Bra Science! Assuming it doesn't sell out prior and there's no new releases before then. It really is a pretty Coral color.

  • 2

Hey if you want it and they will make it, then why not try it, right?

  • 1

    Exactly!

  • 2

What a difference natural lighting makes on the colour! It does look great on you despite the fit issues.

  • 1

Indeed it is incredibly pretty and warm. I expected a more red colour from the photos I've seen.

  • What was the German outlet store you purchased it through?

  • it's not an outlet store, it's something like Korbchenliebe... something.

  • Thanks!

    mamacatts
Wow. It's more beautiful than it looks like online! I'm glad that you tried this one for bra science. I've done that before and I'm the one who came up with bra science in one of my reviews, which MamaPagan loved. I'm glad that you have done this because I am really struggling to figure out what size I need to order in a BM given how my SM fits. I'm going back and forth between 65F and 65FF. At least with the new ones. I might need 70Eor 70F with the tighter bands. I know that with BM Bibi Black, to stick with the smaller cup size, but that's it. It looks like, with the measurements, that I might need the larger of the cups, but I am unsure how the stretch lace will be with my shape. Ugh. So many decisions.

  • I will be ordering a BM in 70G to see how it fits compared to 70FF (which fits well enough).
In this one, I will 100% need a cup size up, so a 70G.
The calculator gives me 70G as well. Kaska said it may be overestimating my size cause I have compressible tissue, and my smaller side would get zero support in it, but for my own peace of mind, I'm gonna try.
They do recommend if between sizes (which is what I am) to go for the smaller size but I don't understand the logic behind that.

  • 1

I wear one size up from a BM for an SM (at least, with Tattoo when it fit). I think 70G will work for you. I have a pretty bad asymmetry and I haven't noticed my smaller size having any less support fitting my larger breast. 🤷🏻‍♀️

  • 2

Btw my first BM was the Bibi Black which I now realise was a big mistake. I wish I'd gotten one of the other ones because Bibi Black gave me some unrealistic expectations about BMs (mainly in how roomy the cups are).

  • 1

Sovavosi thank you! It does make me feel a little better you saying that. The 70FFs I have are all good, like I can wear them, I don't feel uncomfortable, but second half of my cycle I'm quadding with a vengeance on my larger side and it just looks bad (and makes me feel like I constantly have to readjust and pull the cup up to cover it). I'd like to be covered for that part of the month lol.

  • 1

brasaremean Bibi black was my first experience with Ewa bras too! Jaimie said I should try a 65JJ in that and it was a disaster. Band and cups way too big.

  • 2

Yes Calluna I do love your Bra Science idea and now use it regularly as it is so fitting to our cause!! :-D I hope you don't mind!!

  • Sovavosi Understandably so cause it runs large in the cup! The 80E (so 2 sister sizes up from 70FF, right?) runs large in the cup on me right now (band being too loose aside--a rixie clip solves that).

  • 1

MamaPagan it is very fitting (ha!)

  • 1

    No pun intended, right? ;-)

  • 1

MamaPagan i don't mind at all. I love that you love it and that you use it and share it and now others also love it and use it. And I don't know why that other user got tagged. Sorry mamacatts! I missed it when I had a chance to edit it.

So if my 65F SM Wrozka is borderline small most of the cycle and definitely too small after ovulation, should I still stay with 65F in a BM?

Double post, sorry. Anxious tappy tapping fingers. 😂

  • 2

lol Boons. What I meant to say was your BOOBS look very wide in this bra comparatively. I don't think it looks like side fat though, more like those Fantasie models in the full coverage molded bras.

  • 1

Oh gosh Calluna, I wanna say go for the FF. What does their calculator give you? For me it gave me 70G which I think is about accurate.

  • 1

LeProfessor I was like isn't a boon a good thing? Why's she calling my side fat a good thing :D

  • The Universe was saying Mamacatts needed to join us again, Calluna, particularly in this conversation, haha!

I'd say it would be dependent on the BM model, but 65FF would be a safer bet like@ Brasaremean stated. Unless you want Bibi Black, Flamenco, or Klejnot. Go with 65F for those.

  • The calculator on Ewa's site gives me 70E or 70F. It changes with minor measurements adjustments. I'll redo the measurements now and screenshot the results. I redid the ABTF calculator this morning and got 28G/GG and 30G/GG depending on the measurements and whether I rounded the figures or not (ie snug measurement can be 28-28.5" and loose can be 29-29.5". Overbust is 36-37" (but more like 36.5-37") and so on.

  • Did you measure in cm?

A 30 band sounds about right to me. And I think you should definitely go for 65 in EM with that. Because for all her talk about her bands running tight, I've not experienced that at all. It literally takes 3 wears for the fibers to stretch and it fits perfectly.

Btw when I measure my tight UB on Ewa's site I do it super tight. Like, breathe out, and then squeeze as tight as I can.

  • Here’s the results. I played around with a half to whole cm to see if it would give me different results. All gave me 70F. That said, I’m day two of my cycle, so I don’t know how much it might change in a week or so.

    https://imgur.com/a/6PB4cHx

With the abtf calculator I did both in and cm. I’ll redo the measurements and post them after I flip the laundry.

  • Yeah at 72 and 75 cm I also get the 70 band but like I said, I'm personally more between a 30 and 32 right now. The 70 band on newer bras is kinda loose, not too bad, but on the old ones I have (Fluo and Fioletowy) it's perfect.

  • 1

I think in single layer bands I would go for a 65 too (even the old ones). They are very stretchy. Double layer bands for old models 70. Double layer for new models 65.

  • Yeah, I have heard that the new bands are more tts than the past. I'm definitely going to start with 65 with new BM, but check measurements if it's older.

The other issue is where to order from and which style. I'm about to meet up with someone who is buying stuff from me so I'm going to add $30 more to my bra fund. I'll be nearly at $100 CAD. The Cabernet from Broad is $125 unless they have a BF sale (which is not a big thing here in Canada but it's catching on so they may or may not do anything). I spoke with Forever Yours and they are expected to get Baklazan and Rubin in December but they don't know exactly when and if. And I would love to visit Forever Yours, but they're just far away enough that it's a 90 minute ferry ride, plus the drive out to Langley (which if we drive, add $80 each way for the ferry) is like another hour I think. I'm still not sure what the options for walking on the ferry which is way cheaper are to get from the ferry terminal to Langley. I have friends on Langley but I'm not sure if they are able to do a ferry run. I'm toying with Ewa directly with Black Friday, but I still don't really know how much I am going to need to order. Plus the wait for delivery. And delivery is probably best to the states and then to me to avoid DHL. And we have a rotating postal strike so I really don't know if it's wise to order anything from outside the country right now. Ugh. I want a Baklazan so bad. I think that I prefer it over the Cabernet, though I think I would be happy with either. I don't know what to do!

  • 1

For what it's worth Baklazan you would probably be better off getting the larger cup because the lace is very very soft and prone to quadding. Nothing serious (and nothing even close to Ellace lol) but it does happen.

  • 1

Btw did you also check with SFYS?
    https://www.instagram.com/secretsfromyoursister/

They don't have an online store but they do often tweet about EM bras which makes me think they have them in store.

  • Well, they don't have an online store that I can find lol.

  • Well, technically Broad Lingerie has an online store but it's a very small selection, so ordering the Ewa will be a non traditional sale as it is not really listed, but they have it as part of their in store collection.

  • Yeah, I noticed that.

  • Here are the ABTF calculator results in both in and cm. There's a little variation on the measurements just because it really has a small window of sizes for each aspect. Under bust is snug at 28" as well as 28.25" or 28.6" (though increasingly less so as the tape relaxes) and same goes for the other measurements...over bust is in the 36-37" range depending on how loose it is and whether I include the nipples (which Ewa says not to). In any case, the last measure in cm is the most relaxed set of measurement and the closest to the size I wear now. It used to say "28FF/G but you might be more comfortable with 30F/FF" but now it's so much bigger. I can only imagine it's overestimating because I have soft pendulous tissue and am functionally short rooted with even to fob and center fullness. Anyone care to interpret the results based on what they have seen on me? Lol. Sorry to hijack the thread.

    https://imgur.com/a/2ufON7e

  • *28.6=28.5"

  • 1

Honestly Calluna , I really feel that those calculators are for a starting point, beginners whom have never had a well fitting bra. I think you know enough about your bust and what you are comfortable in to not care much about what the calculators say! Though they are fun to play with to see if they match what your range of bra size is.

  • 2

I can tell you that the ABTF calculator, for whatever reason, puts me at 34E or 32F or 30FF or something. Really my results range like that depending on the day with just a cm up or down, and have since I found it (it's why I ordered a bunch of 34Es and 32Fs when I first started this). Even now.

Which, I think the calculator is amazing for starting your bra journey but it's not the end all be all and is definitely not 100% accurate.

You should see Boob or Bust, that one gives me 28HH and I don't think I'd even be able to close that band on the loosest hook even!

Unfortunately, I haven't really studied how the ABTF calculator works at all so I have no idea. Things that come to mind-- chest expansion while breathing (the loose measurement on ABTF is on neutral breath with the tape held loose--your chest might expand more than that while breathing making a 28 band uncomfortable), soft, pendulous tissue confusing the calculator especially if your shape is more towards the conical side.

Hopefully someone else has more educated input.

  • brasaremean I think the old ABTF calculator was better than the new one. The new one puts me in a 28HH/J right now, I think. It doesn't deal with asymmetry that well IMO. It also doesn't ask about firmness or shape.

  • 1

My guess was that it has to do with asymmetry as well. Because of that I have moved on from it. And the loose measurement which for me just does not work. I have to take my loose on breath in because my chest expands a lot when I breathe and very tight bands make me breathe shallowly which I don't think is healthy at all.

  • You know, I did actually forget to fully inhale on the loose measurements but I did exhale on the tight. And yes, it's hard to be neutral for the over bust....there's a tendency to inhale a bit to keep the tape right. Which is partly why I have a slight variation with that particular measurement. And I do totally agree that it is a starting point. But whoa, it's just so overestimated...it's adding 2-3 cup sizes. There is no way I could do a 30FF Marcie, but maybe a Lucy or Kali since it's closed on top for short roots. And that 30FF Bardot I had earlier this year might be closer to fitting now than then, but she seriously cannot imagine anything larger in UK sizes. Polish I'm sure 30FF or 30G depending on brand and cut. I just think that the calculator thinks my tissue is firmer than it is and has the upper volume that it doesn't actually have. There's a page on the calculator's under and over estimating. I'm pretty sure that I bookmarked it...

  • Hm yea, I guess that all makes sense. I have inner fullness, and definitely freakishly tall roots, so maybe that's why the underestimation.

But it definitely explains all of your things too-soft tissue, short roots etc etc.

  • 1

brasaremean Not sure if you've seen this post:

    https://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/comments/2lzkwn/discussion_how_many_of_you_have_projection_but/

I don't know why I didn't notice before you said it but I think we have the same vertical root shape. This might be helpful to you.

  • Yes, I have several of the characteristics that leads to overestimating cup size.

  • 1

Sovavosi THIS. My roots, I swear I have a thin layer of boob ON my collarbone (I'm exaggerating but yeah).
I know I'm even to FOB-ish but every single bra I try on for bottom full is acting like I'm FOT. I've been told that's just tall roots, but this makes so much more sense cause I feel like with tall roots you'd have obvious boobs (however small) on top, not only when you support them.

  • And that is why Ewa's BMs are so perfect, am I right?

  • Calluna , ABTFs overestimates my size too for the same reasons as it does for you. I have almost the same measurements as you, but I generally consider my size to be 30:7..sometimes 30:8. I think that BTB has been more accurate in predicting my size in general based on my measurements and what fits me. Now that you've tried a bunch of bras on and have found out what size range you're in for real, just go with what fits instead of the calculators at this point. Is there anyway you can try both 65F and 65FF in the bras you want, or is that impossible because of cost and shipping constrainst? It was so nice when you could just order direct from EM with regular post!

  • I to have breast shape like what is described in that link you posted Sovavosi . but I always felt like it was a very common trait though. So I always say things like "functionally short root with need for a slightly open top cup." Though I have seen descriptors like "functionally FOB with shallow tall roots and tons of projection at wire." And I honestly just ignore that tissue most of the time. It's never going to be supported by a bra because how high up on my chest it is, and no one is going to see that tiny bit of cutting on or wrinkling except for me. Funny enough I have managed to find 3 bras that work really well for me. They're all full coverage and have just enough stretch to cover yet support. I would say 4 but many would say the 1 "doesn't fit" because it cuts into my slightly. But IMO if something just indents my tissue, that's a fit to me. And in all honesty, I have found over time that I really dislike lace. I'm just not a huge fan like I used to be. I prefer a nice stable, limited stretch fabric like the bottom fabric of the Cleo Minnie Balconnet Bra (7431) nad the Claudette Paramour Underwire Bra (101015008) , but non-padded vertical seam bras seem to work best because horizontal seams always seem to require fullness while a well designed vertical seam bra will close in ever so slightly on the top and shape it's self to your breast while providing great support.

  • Pretty sure that I am always in Club Vertically Shallow Tall Roots too. I usually say deflated tall roots so functionally short roots, but vertically shallow tall roots sounds better. Any of my fan club is welcome to confirm this. 😂

Wilderness1 , it's lack of funds holding me back from trying out two sizes at once. I'd really love to visit Forever Yours...I wish I could find a cheap way of getting there. Because trying on is best. But at $125 for one bra, I definitely can't afford to try 2 at once. I'm not sure what FY is going to charge for the Baklazan, but the Ewas currently on the site run $80-90 iirc. And first order is 15% off. But can I wait until the Baklazan is in? I'm itching for a BM so hardcore right now. 😂

  • 1

And I have never actually ordered anything from Ewa's site. All my Ewas are second hand right now. I got them here and from FB at lower prices so I could experiment with cuts and sizes for bra science. Once I was equipped with fit and styles knowledge, then I planned to buy brand new. Which I am hoping to do now. Though I really want a few of the Comexim bras at breakout bras like Bridget half cup because brasaremean os a terrible influence, but such a lovely person. I'm seriously so jealous of all the new bras she has!

  • *is

  • 2

Calluna I'm just obsessive about *any given thing* and spend more money than I probably should, so definitely don't take my influence. My fiance has been very patient with me about this whole bra thing.
I did think the Bridget was a good deal tho!

  • 1

Me too brasaremean ! I get SOO obsessive about things, and I've been obsessed with bras now going on two years. I don't think it is going change any time soon. XD
And I'm totally jelly of all your new bra's too! I've been looking at my small amount of savings like "it won't miss a couple $$$," or "I'll work some overtime for a couple weeks," or especially "but it's 4 for 20 pounds!, 4 FOR 20 LBS!, thats crazy!"
I am SO GLAD you are in such an "average" size range that you have been able to buy second hand Calluna. My roommate on the other hand is a horrible influence on me he's like "i'm not gonna say nothing, you wear the same 4 bras over and over, you need new bras." But fortunately I AM a virgo with alot of self control or I could get myself into a lot of trouble with bras. lmao. There just aren't many people in my size range to purchase from anymore, and I am so terrified to purchase through braswap. Have you guys had any influence purchasing through there?

  • 2

Believe it or not I have a fund for these periods that I save for during my 'not so crazy' periods. I'm bipolar II so most time (like 90% of the time really) I'm functional. My manic episodes manifest themselves as months long obsessive shopping sprees (it used to be so much worse so I'll take it!) Work work work save save save spend spend spend.

  • 3

I can be too. There’s so much tea and hair products I want in addition to bras. And I’d really like to update my wardrobe. I need a few new basics. But my husband has been out of work for 2.5 years...for most of the time, we had been strung along on the new company buying/hiring the old staff but they first had to deal with legal issues that the former company owner’s parents were causing. Then they had to wait for another site to be acquired because of how they were going to interact. There were issues with the contracts when they finally got around to working on them and allegedly fired a bunch of HR people. Then the judge asked what was the status of it all...she even jailed some of the company execs for contempt of court. We’ve been sitting on what should have been just the judge ok’ing the contracts all year, to the point where our savings was beginning to run low that hubby found a job and began training and a few shifts. Only he only had his SIN number from his original temporary work visa while waiting on his PR (permanent resident) card which was expired and he had to go on a leave of absence to sort it out. He was supposed to get a permanent SIN number when he got the PR card but never did, and didn’t think anything of it because his job was US based. Then he tried to get the SIN number which was needed for him to legally work and he found out his PR card was expired and in order to get the SIN, he had to reapply for his PR. Card application #1 got lost, #2 was returned for incorrect information, but #3 was accepted...and with the help of our local MP (government official), it was expedited and he got the new card a few days ago, and now he’s got his SIN and starting the job again, with a second job with the same company that pays way better starting in January. We’ve been so tight and frugal for so long. I can’t wait for a bit more cash flow. It’s been so stressful. Our move at the end of August is saving us almost $200/month and yet we now have more space and an ocean view! I looked out of the window and saw the moon reflecting on the water and it is so beautiful...in my head I said, “I would not do that if I were you, princess” (from The Princess Bride when Buttercup jumps into shrieking eel infested waters). I’m rambling and should go to bed.

  • 3

I am glad things are looking up for you guys! Money/job stress can really do you in.

  • Yeah, it’s hard. And my hubby is cheap. He hates me spending money. I’m pretty good about finding good deals though. And I exercise a ton of restraint. But he just doesn’t understand.

  • Calluna Whoa. How incredibly stressful! Thinking of you and thrilled the government was motivated to expedite SIN and PR cards. As if loosing a job wasn't enough stress. Phew!!!

  • Calluna Whoa. How incredibly stressful! Thinking of you and thrilled the government was motivated to expedite SIN and PR cards. As if loosing a job wasn't enough stress. Phew!!!

  • Love4Pollinators yeah, because he had just started a job, with the second job offer in the same company, and the initial job is retail and they *really* needing him for Black Friday, the government rep was able to try to get the processing centre on the other side of the country rush it. Calling, faxing, etc. No cost to us. The MP is our local area’s federal representative in Ottawa. This (immigration and customs) is just one feature that they can do locally.

  • 2

Canada <3 I swear here nobody would move a finger to help you out!

  • 2

That's so great that everything worked out for you guys. Makes me happier that you guys are there instead of here because the government likely would've just said "eff you" and deported your husband. Even if shipping and buying in US is cheaper, it really has become a s**thole over the years. Which makes me thankful i am in the state im in, its one of the few states that still think of it's residents as humans and the cops wont just shoot a black person on site. the worst part of my state is pay and housing. they require to make 3x the amount of your rent a month and they follow federal minimum wage guidelines which means you can't afford anywhere to live. 900 USD for a 1 room apartment, that's like 1000 CAD I think? People even rent rooms out for what is half of the average pay check (400 usd - 700 usd) , and then ontop of that no one goes to the doctor because of the cost and having health insurance through an employer just takes too much of your pay to even think about doing. I worked 7 years at one place and was finally making 1200 usd a month come the 7th year, which is still not enough for your average 1 bed apt, but too much to get food stamps. When I was a kid my dad was able to take care of 5 kids, himself and my mom living in a 4 bedroom house with a car and a van with more than enough food making 50k a year. Now I am making 32K a year and still can't afford a 1 bedroom apt on my own. It gets better for the rich and worse for the poor. And the only governments that seem to care are the foreign governments who know more about whats going on here that most people in the US. XD . I'd love to get some where in europe or japan. I also hear in canada they are opening several neighborhoods that allow you to live in tiny/small homes! Here in the US depending on the state you live in, you are required to have like 300 square foot per person in the household, when just 20 years ago 5 people families were living in 900 sq ft homes. They said we are NOT ALLOWED to have more than 2 people in my 1 bed room apt even though it's almost 800 sq ft. Crazzy. The housing industry paid them to make those laws so that they could make more money! My apt is HUGE. My ultimate dream is to buy like an acre or 2 of land and build my small home there with gardens and livestock and not have to worry about working somewhere I hate every again lol.
I am so sorry for hijaking this thread and rambling aswell!

  • Also, his coworker from the old job that was the one who had been dealing a lot with the contracts and progress has decided to sue the company for breach of contract. The company had been given a deadline with which my husband and his former colleagues were to given a large sum of money to set up their own company if things were not complete. Well, they got a certain amount completed and convinced that things would be happening, including back pay, and so the guys chose to stay on instead of taking the consolation prize. The company has still failed to get the guys contracts and jobs. It’s been quite a while since that completion date. Who knows if we’ll ever see contracts, the equipment that was purchased for them pending contracts, the promised back pay, or any settlement. It’s been super frustrating.

  • LeProfessor when we left Orlando, we had a 3 br/2ba for $675. It was not the best area, but far from the worst. It was in between not so great and great. When we moved here, it was $1350 for 1br, admittedly fully furnished with all utilities included. We cut cable tv service and reduced to $1300. Our old landlord kept the price down for a decade. Now that we’re out, he is getting $1750! It’s crazy! We’re super grateful to our new landlords and them being flexible. We’re paying less here for 2br than the old 1br.

  • Thank goodness you got out of there! I know a couple places throughout DE charging similar prices. But they only ever get rented out on a short term basis from out of state business people. Hopefully you guys can get to similar point where you were in Orlando (could you imagine how much they're prolly renting that place out for now?!? lol) soon now that you've gotten most the way through crap card dealt to you guys. Best wishes Calluna !

LeProfessor I don't feel like this is a common trait, at least not in my size range. I feel like it's important to share because it took me a long time to find it and understand why I have so may fit issues. I know that the upper root area shouldn't matter, but I do need a cup that is open enough or it starts to hurt. For me, if a cup is too small start getting a lot of pressure/pain at the strap area, which eventually turns into numbness in my hands. Unfortunately I am getting this with my new BM Sofia because of the tighter top section. Half cups in my size are too tall/open on top and don't work for me. To make them not gape requires them to be too small. Fit issues are fun, yes? ;)

It doesn't help with the mental stress when everyone is overly opinionated on how a bra should fit (thanks to media & VS) and they feel compelled to tell you that you're doing it wrong, like they know your body better than you do, right?

While I don't have the same fit issues, I find there to be a fine line between quadding and gaping, and no amount of strap adjusting resolves it. That's why I love Ewa's SF and BM styles, as regardless as to the time of the month I can get a good fit.

@brasaremean I think you now win the BTB prize for most comments on a single review!!
And I think I have that same breast tissue to my collarbone too! Seriously though......o.O ...... :-D

  • What do I win :P

Sovavosi Thank you so much for showing me that! I legit thought I was going crazy.
I do think this is why BMs fit me so well MamaPagan . It explains why Alex fits so badly, too! I was always devastated about that bra cause gosh it's beautiful.

You win our affection and undying gratitude! :-D
I know what you mean. I've had so many bras that were so beautiful yet just didn't work for my boobs..... :-(

Sovavosi with my latest breast root growth under my arms I started feeling the same shooting pain, so I know how you feel. At first I thought it was my work, but then I started experimenting and realized it was the bra wires combined with short straps (yeah, I got root growth vertically and horizontally, weird, huh?) I put some wider wires in my bras and switched out some straps for longer ones and now I’m wearing wired bras again all day. It’s a Christmas miracle!

    Or a Halloween Hooray! :-)

    Solstice surprise?

    Thankful Thanksgiving Treat?

    Too much assonance! 😫

MamaPagan brasandbodyimage BMs are my best fit but I keep trying her other cuts to see if I can find something else that works. I find if I have the same set of wires on all the time it ends up being uncomfortable, I need to switch it up. One of these other bras will work, damnit. 🤪

cupandahalf I'm glad you were able to figure out what was going wrong.

Sovavosi Me too. That's why I have the SF, and keep trying the padded styles....and Comexim....and my Royce Sports bras. ...... Gotta have wire and strap placement variety to avoid sensitivity and random pains.

I know Sovavosi ! They have yet to have a wonderful vertical seam only bra designed for you lovely very well endowed ladies! They're just now finally getting into well designed bras for larger busted women in general, especially those that aren't all over plus-sized. A mannequin is great for figuring out drape and fit but only to so much of degree, especially when it comes to bras! Then on top of that computers are only so good at grading for cup sizes. They're just now finally starting to figure out that women with small ribcages don't stop at an F cup. XD

And YEAH for cupandahalf and a more comfortable bra! ^.^
