    65H

    Didn't fit

I absolutely LOVE this bra. I had seen it on Levana but they were out of any sizes that could have possibly fit me. When I saw that Sheena had it for sale, I was so excited and I had to try it. I had just ordered another SF a few days before and was feeling pretty sure that 65H was going to be my size. Well the first SF arrived a couple of days before this one so I already knew this one was not going to work. I was actually a little surprised at the fit. The ... Iris would be perfect for me if the wires weren’t so tall. I fill it out. The band is comfy although I felt like I could move it in from the loosest set of hooks. The gore is a little wide but I could have dealt with it!! BUT the wire poking into my armpit...I can’t do. I wish I could just cut the wire so it doesn’t go up so far lol. I want to wear this bra! 😞

So I guess I’m going to try a 65GG next per Judy’s advice (from Levana). She didn’t have a lot in stock in my size but did her recommendation on what she had. I feel like a crazy lady! Searching and searching and trying bra after bra and yet still I’m wearing my lounge bras with the bands so big and the cups too small.

    Any suggestions or advice?

I don’t have any suggestions without seeing a 65GG for comparison, but I love the deep purple colour of this bra!

Besides the wire digging into your armpit, the fit looks very good :)

    • 3

Aww, too bad about the wires. :( It looks good on you though! Hope the 65GG is better!

    • 2

That is SO pretty. Hopefully the 65GG is better for you, but I will say that I have two SFs and they both fit a little bit different. I think I may just be de-sensitized to high wires given that I'm 5'1 with a short torso and all wires are high on me, but I do feel like the wires on my 65H - Ewa Michalak » Sf Moonlight Lace are shorter than the wires on my 65H - Ewa Michalak » Sf Zenith (1410) . Maybe the Iris is one of the higher-wired SFs?

    • 3

Rozelyna I just love this color, it’s even more gorgeous in person.

Sheena Thank you! I wish I could put a shorter wire in it lol

bustyand I also have a short torso and I’m 5’3 🥴. I had my eye on the moonlight lace! Maybe it is one with higher wires. I have the SF Gladzioch (black) and the wires bother me on that one too, they are almost identical in length. Have you found any bras with wires that don’t bother you? Oh the joys of having a short torso lol

    • 2

damaries Wires usually don't bother me, actually (hence my comment on being de-sensitized, lol). I'd say the feeling I have with basically all of my bras is more like 'if I could choose I'd make these wires shorter, but I'm not actively being bothered by it.' I will say though that the Panache Olivia's wires were high enough to actively hurt me my first few wears, though--somehow, it's stopped doing that.

    • 2

Rozelyna oh my gosh I just realized what I said lol 😅 you did say that. My darn adhd brain just skips over things lol. Well I sure wish I could get there and not be bothered by high wires 😕

I tried wearing it again and I really dislike that feeling. Maybe I’ll become used to it

    • 3

Have you considered removing the wires, shortening them, reinserting them into the wire channel, and sewing a stitch so they can't migrate back up under your arms? I think I used wire cutters to shorten wires in a half-cup style. I sanded the ends with a Dremel tool, but you could use a manual file.

    • 1

learningaboutbras Omg I would do this! I was wishing I could just cut the wire but I really didn’t think it was possible to do that without ruining my bra.

    65H

    Hasn't set fit

Got this through the Bratabase listings, could not resist the beautiful purple color!
    Thank you damaries (:

My normal Ewa M. size is ~70GG but I was willing to try this 65H with an extender, as in the U.S. it doesn't happen too often that you find an affordable Ewa Michalak (good as new) close to your size, and in such a gorgeous style!

To my surprise, when it arrived it actually pretty much fits as-is..?
May still add an extender for comfort (I don't normally wear my bands super tight) but it's not far off. Does kinda make sense, as I normally switch to the second ... or third hooks on my 70 Ewa M. bands after a couple months (and tightest hook after a year or so).

Construction-wise, somehow this almost seems like a 'hybrid' between an SF and a BM to me?
It has similarities to both my 70GG - Ewa Michalak » Sf Zenith (1410) and my 70G - Ewa Michalak » Bm La Gloria (1173), in a good way.
Where Zenith feels quite tall and the gore bothers me after a couple hours, this Iris should technically be a sister size with similar volume, but it definitely fits me smaller and is more scaled down overall. And while Iris' gore doesn't measure any lower than Zenith's, visually it seems to 'dip' a little more in the front, reminding me more of my BM. Also the firmer fabric of the bottom cup, that SF is specifically known for, feels softer for Iris than for Zenith?

Anyhow, not sure if this makes any sense and I'm not an expert at all, only having tried 1 SF and 1 BM before this Iris - but for some reason this bra's construction seems to share characteristics of both!

Appearance-wise I really like the color, it's a deep purple with more red than blue. It's hard to capture in photos but very striking in real life. The upper lace is cute and the purple fabric has some floral print as well, giving it some depth. There's a cute embossed pattern on the straps too and overall the design and finishing is just well-done.

As for fit, I wouldn't switch to 65 bands when ordering directly, but overall this works okay! If we're being super picky there is some squish / smallness on my larger breast, due to asymmetry. This causes the stretchy upper cup portion to slightly flatten / push into my upper fullness, to the point where even my husband -(who unintentionally/vicariously became a bit of an expert on bra fitting, haha)- commented that it looked a bit strained.

Nothing major though and I'm very pleased with this purple gem!

I love this bra! I have it in 55HH and it also has a looser band. It may just be the model.

    • 2

It looks great on you!! I’m so glad it’s working for you. I also agree with your thoughts on it feeling like a hybrid! I also felt like that.

    • 2

pretty! This totally looks like it fits!

    • 3

marilynne ah makes sense then, might just be the fabric or something! Feels like a 67.5 band to me haha.

damaries very happy I could adopt it from you, it found a good home! And that's so interesting that you had the same hybrid vibes (:

BraOdyssey thanks, yes I lucked out!

    • 1

aww i have this bra in an FB style and its SOO pretty! But my FB band is so tight its one that I'll never be able to wear without an extender. Its one i'll really miss if I lose weight - i'm actually working on losing weight, becuase I was starting to not tack in my FBs and i realy didnt want to go up any bigger.

  3. My stats for reference: 28GG/H, Possibly 26HH, still trying to figure out my ideal size, so here are my measurements: bratabase loose/snug UB: 28.5"/26", leaning bust: 39". FOT & Center, Tall & Narrow Roots, average to high set.

    Look:

This bra is so pretty! I don't know why, but It reminds me of butterflies. It has lace on the upper cups, the straps and the lower cradle of the bra. It has 3 bows, 2 on the straps and one on the gore. This bra is so feminine and delicate looking that it almost makes ME uncomfortable. I bought matching high briefs from levana, I was so worried that they'd ... look like granny panties, but they don't! They make my hips and butt look absolutely amazing!

    Fit:
While this bra looks delicate, it's anything but. This thing is so supportive and firm. It's the bodybuilder of unlined bras, your boobs do not bounce on stairs or on a bumpy road, nothing. I wouldn't try to use it as a sports bra, but it's exceedingly good as an everyday bra. It has a very stiff lower cup and a very stretchy upper cup, so I think it works great for FOT shapes. The wires are a little wide for me and very firm. I get a really hard tack that's almost painful if I wear it while lounging on the couch all day.

The bra is so pretty on you and (albeit a little stiff) I'm glad it fits :) All the EM's I've tried have 2 x 3 hooks so I'm super jealous of your 3 x 4 set!

    • sincerity Thank you! I was so excited for the 3 hook closure! It makes everything a bit more supportive. What do you mean by it looking a bit stiff?

    • 1

Ah, I misread! I'm glad it's supportive and firm :)

    • 1

I just love this bra so much. I have it too but can’t deal with the wires under my arm :(

I’m glad it fits you! It’s such a gorgeous bra!

    • 1

damaries Thank you! I think I just lucked out with this bra. I bought a 60H BM apricot that should've fit exactly like this but it didn't :(

It’s such a bummer when they don’t fit! I’m going to message you about that apricot BM 😬😬

    60L

    Fits

    SF Iris 60L (and 60KK)
I bought SF Iris during the opening weekend sale, and though it shipped on 11/30, it didn’t arrive until 1/7/19. When I ordered it (mid Nov) I was at about a 50% fit rate for the 60KK SF bras, so I figured I would take advantage of the sale and purchase this one (and Zenith) in both a 60KK and the 60L. For simplicity sake, I am reviewing them both together here.

Iris is a gorgeous purple. The bottom has a beautiful pattern yet is smooth, while the top is a purple lace. The inside of the bra is lined in black, and the ... band is also black. It is the standard SF style, which has a stiffer bottom cup with stretch lace on top. This typically provides more support than the BM but without any padding to add bulk.

All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.

The band measures 23” and stretches to a max of 29” on the 60L and 22” to 28.75” on the 60KK. They both have 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 12.2” on 60KK & 12.5” on 60L
2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 14.2” on 60KK & 15” on 60L

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

The 60KK Cup height is 8.75” with a 4.5” Wing, 4.15” gore, and 6” width
    The 60L height is 9.5” with a 4.625” wing, gore 4” and 6.125” width

Needless to say the measurements are disappointing, as there is not enough of an increase from the 60KK to the 60L to justify calling it a full cup up. I have a few 60KK SF bras that measure the same max cup depth, so this isn’t a true 60L cup. I had Magda ask about getting this one (and Zenith) in a 60LL, but she was told no. I had to push for months to get Ewa to be willing to allow me to get the 60L, so I imagine that I can work this no into a yes with a little bit of requesting and persuasion Kaska, and hopefully they won’t sell out of them before I can do so. Even if that one is too big, I still want it for comparison on the sizing, as this 60KK to 60L cup scaling cannot be correct. :/

    As for fit,
I didn’t bother with even trying on the 60KK based on the fit of my other ones, and the fit of the 60L.
The band feels loose on the tightest hook-set. The gore is just under 2 fingers off my sternum, otherwise the cups feel tight but not terrible within the few minutes of wear.

Sorry to hear it's not a perfect fit, but oh my that colour looks gorgeous on you!

    • Thank you :-) It really is a gorgeous purple!!

    • 1

This reminds me of the J/JJ measurements... she just makes them taller instead of deeper. Awful :(

    • 2

I seriously have 2 SFs in 60KK with the same depth (Szaron and Kobalt) so it is difficult for me to think this is a true 60L. It's really no taller either....All 3 of the 60L have a max of 15" depth.

I sent Kaśka an inquiry last night about the 60LL but she hasn't replied. I also have prepared my rebuttal statement for the no she will inevitably give me, listing the depth of each SF I have received and my breast perimeter etc. :-D

I am determined to win this battle!!!

      Fingers crossed she says yes!

    Fits

Got this from Levana in the US. Description said it runs small in the band but the band only feels marginally tighter than my 80E BM Antonina. Some gapping on my small side but good fit on my large side. A little bit of pulling across the front, but I like the lower gore and lower cup height compared to the BM. I actually thought I was buying an S not an SF, I tried the SF Nibynic in this size and cups were obviously too big. Will have to wear it for a bit but overall I'm happy with it, unless someone sees something wonky on the fit! I love the subtle floral pattern in the purple.

    • Glad to hear you are happy with this one. I can't see the pictures with your review, if you want them displayed I believe that there is a box to check on your page with your review.

    • I couldn't figure out how to change it lol so I just did a fit request instead.

    • confused When you are adding a bra, you can make pictures visible with your review by navigating to the "Manage Pictures" option box, then scroll to the bottom and there's a little tick box that says " Make pictures visible next to my bra information".

If you've already added the bras, go to the bra you want to edit, click on the "manage pictures" options box, then click on "manage" on the upper right, then on the top left, click the text box that says "Make pictures visible next to my bra information".

    Fits

My shape: semi-conical, firm, splayed, narrow width, tall shallow roots, size and shape asymmetry on right side.

I think this is my favorite of the new SF releases thus far. This bra’s fabric is really soft, smooth, and flexible, unlike the Blueberry and Nibynic. It’s also an outstanding shade of purple! There’s a very pretty detailing on the straps. The fabric feels very similar to SF Szaron. The triangular piece at the strap is softer and less biting on my armpits.

I think that because of the more flexible fabric, that the band stretches more than the others, to 29”. Not the worst, but I’m nervous it will wear out faster. In all other aspects it feels like a standard SF. Wide set straps, wrinkling at the bottom of the cup and at the gore. I’m happy with this one despite those ever present fit issues.

    • I love this bra on you, Sovavosi. It's stunning. It's too bad she didn't do the band in the purple all the way around. It wouldn't been even more goregous.

I kinda like the black with the purple. It looks really good with the panties and the black stockings in their stock photos.

Wow, I'm really disappointed in this bra! I guess the best word to summarize my experience with it is dismay, considering it's so pretty.

So I have an Ewa Michalak BM in 60G that I don't really like because I don't find the shape it gives me very flattering, the wires are too wide, and the gore pokes me because it's too tall, but I loved the color of this SF Iris so I thought I'd try out her other main unpadded style.

I sized down in the cup because I feel my 60G is a hint too big in the cup, but this 65F gives me a bit ... of quadboob on my bigger side. The wire is too wide and the cup is too shallow on my smaller side, but the cup fits fine; the wire is fine and I don't get wrinkling in the bottom on my bigger side, but I do get the quadboob. On the whole, though, the fit really isn't bad. But the fit wasn't my main issue with this bra.

For some reason, the purple fabric feels really cheap. It's not *not* soft, but it doesn't feel like the level of quality I expect from a bra for which I've paid this much. The fabric of my BM Pin-Up Doll is much softer. The purple color is still pretty, don't get me wrong, but I would definitely describe the feel of the fabric as cheap.

I also CANNOT get this bra to fit comfortably. I put off actually doing an extended wear test on it for ages because it was uncomfortable from the first moment I put it on ― and wearing it for longer didn't improve the feel. I don't know if I can put my finger on *why* it's so uncomfortable, but I think it has to do with the fabric. The band especially is uncomfortable; I tried fastening it on the loosest hook and it felt too loose, then the second loosest and it still felt wrong, and I finally settled on the second tightest, which was a tiny bit better but nowhere near how I feel in most of my other Ewa bras. The gore also digs in and the bows slightly irritate my skin. I wonder if the cup being a little too small contributes to the band feeling wrong.

This bra gives a fairly minimizing effect, especially compared to my CHPs and Ms, but I don't have an issue with that. The appearance is nice, but the discomfort and the cheap feel really ruin it for me. I am probably blowing the issues out of proportion, but I'm not one to settle for a bra that's "sort of fine" over a bra that genuinely feels and looks nice and fits really well, especially for this price point ― hopefully others can relate to this!

Once I get home, I think I will list this bra. I still have the tag, but I took it off so that I could wear it out.

    • Sorry to hear that it didn't work out for you at all. I hope you find a better fit with this style.

Sovavosi thank you! I may just stick with her padded styles from now on since I find them equally comfortable. It's just a shame since it feels like the only bras she makes anymore are BMs.

    • Yes, it’s going to be a stiffer material than the pin up. It’s a semi soft and the lower cup is reinforced. It’s really pretty though.

    • Sorry I'm not sure I'm reading right, wouldnt a 65F have the same cup size as a 60G?? I have this one, the fabric is definitely stiffer than the BM which is a completely soft cup, where the bottom of this one is intentionally stiffer but not quite fully padded. But if you dont like it you wont wear it!

    • confused 65F has the same cup volume as 60FF, which has the same cup volume as 55G. 65FF has the same cup volume as 60G and 55GG. Down a band size = up a cup size! So a 60G is one cup bigger than a 65F.

    • Ah I forgot about FF that's what threw me off. I'm also not solid on how some of the different brands seem to sometimes use or not the double letters!

    60L

    Fits

Band seems a bit snug, but it's doable for me honestly.
Cups are fantastic. Very similar to my La Gloria review. I've hit the sweet spot for my cup preference on this one. JUST big enough for both my smaller and larger side. I almost have quadding on my larger side, but it's pretty great for my small side.

That looks good! No weird torpedo boob from being smooshed.

    • 1

Right?! It's pretty awesome. Hahaha, right? :P Darn torpedo boobs.

    • Some women pay top dollar for that torpedo look though, haha.

So maybe 60L/65KK for SF style?

    • Oh absolutely! And that's okay! Really. It's just not my thing 😋

Yep! That's what I'm thinking. A 60L might be too tight in the band though, judging by how small they've been making the BM bands as of late 😬

    • But yay for this batch of bras solidifying a size for at least one style for you so far! That's a good thing!

    • Exactly! :) Plus side to everything ;)

UK 28FF/G. My fit needs: projected, immediately projected, slightly narrow, fob with tall roots (functionally even), very close set, very center full.
I'm sure this would be really projected and narrow if it were the right size. But this is like 2 cup sizes too big for me, so the width and straps were too wide, the top had so much room and the bottom was collapsing with the extra cup. But it's a very beautiful violet color.

    65KK

    Didn't fit

I received this bra after I'd lost my first 10 lbs. I think it must have been all breast weight because it was HUGE 😬.

I can't attest for the fit, but I can go by the measurements a little and from a bit of experience. The height of the cups seem enormous to me. This was one of three SF's that I received in a 65KK and this was probably truest to a 65 band.
