Band: I got a 28J instead of my usual size in CK, 30H or 30HH, because I had read that this bra runs big in the band. Unfortunately I probably would have been better off with a 30HH- I had to use an extender to be able to wear this and still breathe! I CAN wear it on the loosest hook, but when I do the gore and wires under my armpits start to get distorted/stretch out- clearly not a good fit.
Shape: I was expecting a nice "purple" cleavage push up shape (@BrasIHate's purple shape: http://brasihate.blogspot.com/2012/01/what-exactly-is-good-shape.html), but for some reason this bra gives ...me a "blue shape". Maybe my boobs are too wide set and full on the bottom, this might be better for someone with closer set boobs that are more full on top.
Cups: The cups are really weird for me. The wires are so wide they extend well beyond my armpits into my sides, and there's a lot of gaping right below the straps on the upper corners of the cups. If I swoop and scoop I do fill the cups, but after even a minute of wearing the weight of my boobs sort of pushes the cup material down and to the side. I think I need more support on the side of the cups and narrower wires. A balcony shape fits me much better, sadly I guess I should avoid plunges.
Appearance: All that being said, this is a lovely bra. The lace overlay on top of the sateen material is sexy and cute, and I love the little button on the gore. I wish this one had worked out for me! Read more 177 more words
Gorgeous bra. The band feels really awesome, perfect fit. Cupwise however, I've got loads of spillage on the top and some wrinkling on the bottom. It's pretty enough that I'm considering keeping it anyway.
I love this bra! I personally am a fan of molded cup bras. My boobs are slightly full on top, I have issues wearing bras that aren't open, so since this bra is a really open balconette bra I have plenty of room for the boobs, and nice cleavage too.
This is a really pretty bra. The band is very comfortable and flattering (no back fat!) and I love the tall, close to the chest, cakes on a plate shape it gives, but it is wrong for my boobs. The cups are wide and shallow, and I am narrow and deep, so it is uncomfortable to wear.
This fits similarly to CK's other unpadded balconettes. I'd say the fit is most like Emily--a little more forgiving in the top edge than Princess or Angel.
This bra is beautiful, but completely the wrong shape on me. My boobs are deep, narrow and slightly bottom-center heavy whereas the bra has wide wires and a high center gore. My breasts settle after a few seconds of wear. Only wore to try on.
Absolutely beautiful, but too big for me to begin with. Cups come up pretty high on the sides, band is fairly stretchy (though not a whole bandsize stretchier, I don't think).
I love the look of this bra, and have admired it for a long time. But was dissapointed when I finally found one. The straps are too stretchy to give much support and they are very wide set, and tend to rub my armpits. It gives a very uplifted cakes on a plate cleavage. Very in your face. The cups do run small. The band is very stretchy, i could use a 26.
I don't even..... I guess when I got this I derped on the letter ? I'm not even close to a J. The band and straps, however, are good. Nice, firm band, straps stay on. Sorry I don't have much else to say about this bra :/
This bra is so pretty. However, the shape is all wrong for me. My boobs are narrow and deep while the bra has wide wires that come really high under my armpits. Because there is so much space unfilled, my breasts settle more east west than I would like. I could maybe resolve some of the issues by going down a size, but that won't change the shape. The band is nice and snug.
This bra was always too small and too tight and shape wasn't good for full on the top boobs. I bought it second hand and it was too tight for previous owner - the last row of hooks is stretched.
Luxurious, striking colorway - but unfortunately the bra does not fit me. It's a bit too large in the cup, and the straps are too separate for my shoulders.
The straps adjust fully and are a perfect width for my narrow shoulders. The cups are a reasonable distance apart, and the low center gore doesn't dig in.
That said, this is the worst fitting bra I have ever owned. The band is huge, even on the tightest hook. Coupled with cups that are way too shallow, the center gore floats about an inch and a half away from my ribcage. The bottom of the cup is suffering from orange in a glass phenomenon, leaving many wrinkles, while the top digs in and causes a very dramatic quad-boob effect.
This bra may work best for people with large rooted and shallow breasts. I'm disappointed it didn't work for me.
This bra fits better than the 30H, but the straps are SO far apart it is torturous to wear. I will be altering them, hopefully that will solve my issues.
This is a bra I kept against good reason. I bought it in the summer of 2012 and it was already too small in the cups. Then I experienced a little breast growth, which made the bra pretty much unwearable for me. Ever since it's been sitting inside my drawer where I sometimes admire it for its way-too-small beauty. Ideally, I would like to try this in a 28K or maybe even KK. I found the cups to come up very small or rather very shallow at the bottom. Someone with fuller-on-top breasts might be able to fit into the cups just fine. The straps are fully adjustable and also very stretchy. If I ...adjusted them to fit me the way straps are supposed to, I could tighten them almost all the way. The bra fastens with 3 hooks and eyes and I think for those who fit the bra the band will be very comfortable, albeit a bit stretchy (so a 26KK/L might be good for me). The center gore is rather high but since it comes nowhere near my breastbone, I can't judge whether that might cause discomfort. The cups also come up high on the sides/under the armpit.
I hope Curvy Kate will consider introducing more sizes as it is a truly beautiful bra.
