This bra is absolutely beautiful, but it does fit slightly differently from the Tease Me bra in the same size. Holding the cups of the two bras together to compare, it seems that the Thrill Me is wider and shallower than the Tease Me. Since I tend to fit into narrower, deeper cups better, this bra definitely flattens my profile a little, but it still fits relatively well and is quite comfortable. Those who fit well into shallow cups with wide underwires will probably absolutely love this bra and the shape it gives. I got this in the cobalt/fuschia color and it is very vibrant.
The band is very stretchy, so if you are on the border between band sizes, definitely take the smaller band. I've also found as a rule (for me anyway) that Curvy Kate tends to run one cup size small, relative to Freya, so I always size one up in the cup.
This bra is stunning to look at and touch - the fabric is a lovely soft satin and the bow detailing is very pretty. However, it's not just one for the bedroom! It's also comfy and supportive enough for everyday wear.
The band is ever so slightly too large for me and I would recommend that you size down in the band if possible (sadly it was not possible for me as they do not make a 26). The cups fit my smaller breast very well and my larger one with a small amount of overspill, but this is masked well by the frills and is not significant ...enough for me to want to size up in the cups. In terms of shape, I find this bra flattens me out a bit, but does give a nice amount of uplift. The frills flatten out under clothing so they are not too noticeable unless you're wearing a very tight t-shirt.
I initially found the centre wires dug in a little and the straps slightly too wide for my narrow shoulders, but both these issues seem to have disappeared with a couple of washes. I now find this bra very comfortable for the whole day and I will definitely be purchasing another colour. Read more 102 more words
For me this bra, and well, almost all Curvy Kate Showgirl bras, is too large in the band. Everyone I've heard needs to size down a bandsize (and up at least a cup) in the Thrill me, but since there are no 26HH I'll have to do with this.
However, it does fit proberly on the tightest hooks when it's new and I will alter it as soon as possible. I still find it good enough to be worth the money as I bought it on sale. All my comments will be based on the fit new with hooks on the closest set of eyes. I will update this ...after the alterations.
When it comes to the Thrill Me you really have to be careful. There are bras out from several seasons and the fit differs a lot. This one (wine/navy) fitted me perfectly in the cups, but the ivory/black one is a cup size larger, even though it looks the same otherwise.
In this one the support is great. Of course, with a half cup bra you can't expect the same support as with a full cup one but still it's great. The cup isn't moulded but padded and keeps it's shape even off. The satin cups look faboulous and the colour might be more red than I thought but I still love it.
The wires go quite high in the front, which may be an issue for some. For me it usually stops hurting after some wearing. The straps sits quite far apart in the front, almost too far apart for me. This does however help with the shape and could also be a bit less wide if wearing the correct size.
It gives cleavage. The amount is probably determined by the boob shape and the size, but for me, who usually don't get huge amount of cleavage I think it's just right. Since it's so low cut you can usually choose size based on how much oumph you want, but I suggest go with a cup size larger and a band size smaller than your usual Curvy Kate unpadded-bra size, if it is the wine/navy one you're looking for.
Pros: +Comfort +Cleavage +Looks +Support
Cons: -Band size one size larger than usual -Unconsistent cup sizing between different colours -Many changes in the model -Straps positions a bit too far out on the shoulders. Read more 278 more words
My habitual size is 32D, because I can buy it in stores, but I think I am more a 30DD than a 32D. I have small but not flat, wide, pointy and full on bottom breast.
I have read all the revues in bratabase and in blogs, and they say to go down a band size, and go up one or two cups size for this bra. And bratabase say the 28F may fit me in cups, but too tight in band. So I ordered a 30DD, a 30E, a 28E and a 28F. The one who fit me the best is the 28F (bratabase, you give ...good advice )
All is perfect in the fit of this bra, expect the center gore which is too wide at the top, just between my breast. And I have empty space in the smaller boob's cup. But I have those problems with all of my bras.
I can close the band with the loosest hook and and feel supported even if I can put more than 2 fingers under the band. (If I had heavier breast maybe it will be too loose).
The bra gives a flat and round shape, and lift a lot. I have not the "marie antoinette cleavage" that some woman have with this bra, I just have more breast tissus in the top of my chest than with other bras. And my boobs looks bigger. It is difficul to wear this bra with a V neck top, because the bra shows.
I am tall, with broad shoulders, and the straps are perfect !
I have the peach/plum color, it is beautiful, I love it !
EDIT 3 MONTHS LATER : I altered the center gore, now the cups are very close together, so it fits my body. I can close the band easily, and put the band away form my body 6-7cm, but it feels too tight (the underwires dig in my ribs). I wear it with and extender, and it is very confortable for me now. With this 2 changes, this bra becomes my favorite ! I wear it all the time !
EDIT 1 YEAR AFTER BUYING THE BRA :
Ok, so now, I have other bras that really fits me, I can say this one is not confortable, because wires are too sturdy and the band is too tight in size 28, even now it is old. Wires are a bit too narrow too. But the good point is the shape : so so good for lifting my breasts ! It is definitely my best bra if I want my nipples hight or spectacular " tall full on top shallow" sort of cleavage. This bra gets old quite well. Materials looks cheaper and color is not as bright as it used to be, but the shape stay perfect, and the band stay firm. Read more 367 more words
This is a about the Ivory/Black Thrill me, for other colours, check those reviews. ---------------------------------
This is my third Thrill Me, and yes, it's different too. Curvy Kate is in general quite consistent, but that doesn't apply to the Thrill Me in the Showgirl Collection unfortunatly.
This one is absolutly lovely. The feel of it is great, it's much more supportive than I've ever expected and gives a really nice uplifted cleavage.
However, that doesn't help when it just doesn't fit. It is known that the Showgirl range tends to be a lot larger in the band, but that this one is a lot larger in the cups than the wine/navy ...even though they look identical, that was unexpected. After comparing the wires (there will be a picture up soon) I've realised that this 28H actually has the wires of a Curvy Kate 28HH, and strangely enough I'm not the only one that have encountered this problem, this model is actually a cup size larger than the wine/navy one.
The straps is a bit wide on me on this one too, which probably is due to the too large band size. I still wear this. With some extra padding the cups are fine, and well, when the tightest hooks don't make it I'll alter it instead. This is how good this bra is.
I can certainly recommend this, but, if your interested do take the time to choose size wisely. One band size down and in most cases, keep your ordinary cup size. This one runs big compared to other Thrill Me so be careful. Read more 156 more words
They are pendulous/loose skin and the lower cup on this bra is so shallow it is nearly like a push-up shelf. I have enough loose skin/pliable tissue that the firmer breast tissue is pushed up to the open part of the bra for cakes-on-a-plate cleavage. A bra with a moderately shallow bottom would half-way fit my firmer/interior breast tissue and give me orange-in-a-glass, however this bra being so shallow it pushes everything up to the top. What I'm trying to point out is that oddly enough this bra is so shallow that it works better than a ...moderately shallow bra for my full-on-bottom breasts.
The underwire is in a well padded channel so it is forgettably comfortable and I appreciate the cup width.
I had to alter mine to reduce the gore width. I sewed the underwire channels together in the front without overlapping, and the sturdy fabric made the operation very simple. I then had to add a purchased bra band hook extender to lengthen the band to make up for the length I took out of the gore.
The ruffles at the top of the cup show under clothes. However, when I paired this bra with a risque little black dress that the bra did not quite fit under, I actually appreciated the ruffles poking out and adding some cutesy/retro style. It make it look intentional instead of simply not having a bra that hid completely under the cut of the dress.
Tl;dr: Despite being shallow, having ostentatious ruffles, and needing a gore alteration, still works very well. Gave a FOB complimentable cleavage. Read more 169 more words
I got this bra a few weeks ago but I somehow forgot to write a review. It is the first version of the Thrill Me bra, I also have worn a 34DD - Curvy Kate » Thrill Me [showgirl Collection] (SG3001) in black/ivory. I have to admit I like the older version better. There are some issues with the gore digging in a bit, but I can bear with it non problem. I would recommend this bra for FOB girls for a ckae-on-a-platter look.
Love! I've been admiring the Showgirl range for some time now so when Brastop had a sale on recently I had to take the plunge. I got this in the Azure/Plum colour and it's beautiful. The bra gives a lot of lift and has an almost corset like effect.
As per the advice I'd read here and on other blogs I sized down in the band and up in the cup, I'm glad I did as a 30 band would have been too loose and I do have some reservations as to how well this bra will wear for me. Even the 28 band seems much looser than I am used to in the 30 bands and I suspect I may not get as much use out of this bra as I do with others when it starts to stretch with wash & wear. How things go with this issue will probably be the deciding factor as to whether I buy anything else from this range. But for now I'm in love
