I have relatively narrow, quite deep breasts. So naturally, I should stay away from Curvy Kate, which is a brand notorious for wide wires and shallow cups, right?
As much as I can rationalize this in my head (and as many times as a Curvy Kate bra has failed me), I always find myself drawn to Curvy Kate! I love that ... they use bright colors and fun, flirtatious designs (compared to any bras, not just in the DD+ world).
"But Olivia," you could argue, "Cleo makes cute bras that are appropriate for a teenager customer. Why not just turn to them?" And this is an excellent point, one that I've made to myself multiple times. But Cleo is tricky for me for a few reasons (granted, the only Cleo bra I've ever owned was a poorly fitting/incompatible-with-my-shape Cleo Jude). For one thing, I don't like the 2 hook/eye closures in the back, and I prefer thicker straps. While those features may be more aesthetically pleasing, they can cause some back and shoulder pain for me. Plus, whenever I surf online sales, there is usually a relatively poor selection of Cleo, as well as they're usually not as cheap. Curvy Kate has been extremely lucky for me, as I can usually find a deeply discounted style.
So far I've tried the Curvy Kate Princess (Which I'll refrain from commenting on, as I bought it in the wrong size), the Smoothie (ADORABLE bra, just very incompatible with me) and the Entice (I knew this was a bad idea for me to buy, but it was on sale! And it's so cute!!), and none of these styles have been great for me. I get much more luck in my Ewa Michalak bras, and the small taste I've had of Freya was also much better. But I keep coming back to Curvy Kate. Now I find myself pining for the Portia in the adorable seafoam green/pink combination, as well as maybe giving the Princess another shot.
I know it's not worth it. But . . . is it?
Thank you for indulging my word vomit. Does anyone else have any little habits like this, or find themselves unshakably attracted to Curvy Kate?

From what I've heard EM bras are the cleavage "make your boobs look bigger" bras, and unpadded bras tend to be more minimizing.I'm sort of drawn to EM bras for that reason, but also want an unpadded bra for clothes where I want to downplay it.
I think it's more of a preference. Some people like to draw attention to their chest and some don't.
@SparkleDarkles, good point on the padded vs. unpadded. I am starting to realize that padded bras are not working in my size. I don't mind drawing attention to my chest but I do mind drawing attention to my fat. I guess the best remedy for that is to lose weight. Easier said than done :(. Love the name btw. Very girly.
