Panache Paloma in 30J shorter ctr gore

I am adding this bra for data/informational purposes only. This Bra is not owned by me at the time of addition to the database.

Paloma is an unpadded underwire balconette bra. The color/pattern is Black with red, grey, and white wispy splash on the cups. It is labeled as orange but there isn’t any orange on it. The red has a very slight orange hue to it, but it is what I’d call red way before orange. I tried this bra in 30J (twice), 30JJ, & 30K. This review is for the 30J with a shorter gore.

The band measures 24.75” to ... a max of 30”, with 3 hooks and 3 rows of eyes.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 12.5”

2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 13.5”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.
The center gore on this one is 4”, and the side wing is 4.75” tall. The cup distance is .0875”. The length of the wire is 14.5”, making it longer than the other 30J Paloma bra, which is quite odd.

The straps are wide set, but all the Panache bras are this way.

The biggest issue with this bra is that the outer tulle is looser than the tulle lining. This makes the cups look like they bunch/wrinkle even though they are quite full. This was an issue with both 30Js I got. This makes the bra not wearable under a t shirt, but will still work under a sweatshirt, so thus it’s what I call a winter bra. At $29, it wasn’t expensive, but I’d expect a better quality at that price. I could remove the lining, but that most likely will take away the support, so it’s a gamble.

While the measurements are similar in the 2 30Js, there are enough differences to make it frustrating when ordering, as you don’t know what you’ll really get. It always amazes me just how different two bras in the same size and style can be so varied in measurements. This fact explains why so many women can rate the same bra differently, as too big, too small, or fit as expected.

I bought this bra for sleeping/lounging and it fits pretty well, but provides zero support, putting the weight of the breasts all on the neck and shoulders. There are only two hooks per row. It is closed on top so those with FOT breasts might not fit into it.

I wish that I had known about this bra years ago instead of now and finding out that it's been discontinued. This is the first bra that I've owned that keeps the girls where they should be when doing any sort of activity. Going to buy up any I find! Am wearing an extender until it loosens up a bit. The high gore is very comfortable and the support phenomenal.

I have been wearing this bra for just over a year now (I have three of them). I LOVE it for the following reasons:
1--it's sexy and cute, which is rare in J cups.
2--it gives my pendulous breasts good shape as well as good support. I feel like they look smaller in this bra (which is a good thing), and they're nice and round, and well separated.
3--no spillout or gaping anywhere. Many styles gape at the top of the cup for me because all my breast fullness is low and not high, but the stretch lace across the top of these cups compensates for that
4--the gore rests flat ... on my sternum. This was the first bra I ever found that was "on" and just just "pretty close." I didn't know it was possible! It's wonderful.

I tend to need my straps adjusted up very short, and this bra 'didn't want to' but if I take the bra off and then wiggle the adjuster along the strap slowly I am able to get it over the thicker part of the strap (where the padding starts) and am able to get it short enough to fit me (see photo).

The one negative comment I have on this bra (for me) is that there is not a 'nude' shade. The front part of the underarm does press into my armpit a bit, but I get that with all bras and I think it's related to my snort-strap issue.

I do find it slightly annoying that the lace along the bottom of the cups gets rolled under a bit (see photo), but it doesn't affect the comfort or support at all so I don't worry about it.

30J Is my actual bra size. I've been purchasing 32HH and sewing the center gore to pick up the cups in the middle and to get the underwrites from rubbing against my arm pit. But since this bra was on sale for $34 dlls I couldn't just let it slip away. Everything fits, center gore sits comfortable. The cups envelope my whole breast no quadboob. It's perfect. Except the underwrites run too too high and the cup is too wide and rubs uncomfortable against my arm pit. If I would wear a sleeveless blouse u will be able to see the bra all up in my armpit. There is no way to sew the center gore on this bra I would probably be cut in half by my own bra. It's just right around my ribs. Because my breast are very soft.

Disclosure: This bra doesn't actually fit me in both the cups and band, so that is the reason for a lot of my fit issues.

The Melody is a pretty bra with a nice band of lace at the top. Unfortunately, the band is too big and the cups are probably two sizes too big for me (I think I would do better with a 28J or 28I). The gore is too wide for my very close-set breasts, so even though it tacks (and is the first bra I've owned to do so), it pushes my breasts east/west a lot. The underwire is also too long and ends somewhere in my armpit. I have a small frame, so I'm hoping to have more luck with Ewa Michalak or Comexim.

The bra doesn't dig or pinch anywhere, and it's fairly comfortable. It just doesn't fit my shape and it's far too big for me.

This is my favorite bra I have tried thus far, very comfortable and looks good under clothing. I like the lace top that seems to stretch as I seem to be ever growing.

This bra has fir the best so far out of the Panache styles I have tried. It fits around the back and the cup are OK. I get a slight quadboob on the left and the cup wrinkles on the right (that has more to do with my asymmetry than the bra) Over all the shape is nice, but it does give a flat area on the outer portion of the cup which is a bit strange. Almost as if they wanted to give a projected look but forgot that breasts are round lol I will keep this bra and continue to wear it. The pattern is so pretty too!!!

I don't really know how to feel about this bra. I like it, it fits... kinda... but it feels... loose somehow. I can't quite fill the top, but I don't know if a smaller cup size would do as I come from wearing super small H cups.

The cups on this were way too separate for my non-separated boobs. The gore was too wide and also the top was cutting into my breast tissue. There was all this extra space on the sides because the cups were too far apart.

Also, the band runs tight. It barely stretches at all! It's supposed to be a 30, but it definitely fits more like a 28.

This bra would probably work on someone who is full on the bottom with separation.

First off, I purchased this bra on clearance in a sister size. My experience of this bra is wearing it with an extender -- which, in this size, is what I had planned when I purchased it.

So beautiful, and yet so deadly.

I am generally pretty practical when it comes to my bras. Beige full cup grandma bra? Sure, as long as it's comfortable. Sports bra in a conical uniboob? If it provides motion control, why not?

And yet, I lusted after the Sienna. I still do. The plum/navy colourway is gorgeous -- rich, deep, sensual.

    Unfortunately.

This bra is trying to kill me.

The wires are too ... narrow and too tall. They are also quite stiff, which means they don't just pinch my side breast tissue -- they trap and suffocate it. Additionally, they stab me in the armpits sufficient to leave bruises. The center gore? Those wires are aiming straight for my heart, never mind if they have to bore directly through my sternum to get there.

The wings are trying to become part of my armpits. Seriously. I'm five foot eight with a torso that's average for my height (though to be fair, I think my breasts may be higher set than is strictly average). I don't have the exact measurements on hand, but when I wear it, it *feels* like the wings on this are higher than on my Panache Sports bra.

And the straps. Partially adjustable. Would be quite content to strangle me in the dressing process. Designed for someone with less substantial biceps, triceps, and deltoids. There have been times when I've seriously wondered how my arm fits through the arm hole to get the thing on.

On top of everything else, the lace itches.

If you're reading this review along with my listing, please know this -- Even now, I am listing this bra partially against my will. A significant part of me wants to keep it, wants to make it work -- wants to *believe* I can make it work.

Then there is a small voice. It is my left boob talking (being larger, it is the more opinionated of the two). "No way, lady! Get rid of this one and get us something that fits!"

Apparently, the bra maker thinks that small-framed gals with big busts have linebacker-type shoulders. And that their busts wrap around to their backs. The cups were wildly out of proportion to the band, wrapping around nearly to the back. This bra was the first in my search, and it was very discouraging. I"m fortunate that I had good guidance and gave up to go to a shop in town to get me back on the right track.

I got this for a sleep bra because I found this at a cheaper price than the Sophie Support Bra. It has a loose band that rides up on me, but I actually like that because I don't need much support while sleeping. It doesn't give a good shape, but that doesn't matter to me either. The cotton lining is quite soft and comfortable, the lace irritates my skin slightly as it rubs against my armpits (The cups are quite wide). The cups are also really shallow and too small for me, but again it doesn't bother me since it's a sleep bra. I would really like it if this bra was made of mostly cotton.
