  1. Jasmine Balconnet Bra (6951)

    I made peace with Jasmine https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
When I first put it on, the gore wouldn't lay flat, I couldn't tighten the straps short enough, the bra felt really uncomfortable, The wires dug in at the arpit and at the bottom, I couldn't pull the wires where they are supposed to be - I felt there is not enough space for my boobs around them, and the fabric of the cups gave me a rash on my right boob o.O
Now, this bra needs to be washed before you even try it on !!
Except for the rash, those were all basic problems I ... have with most my bras.
    HOWEVER

I managed to bend the wires to fit me comfortably, I even bent the gore to lay flat.
I realized that wih some fiddling I could shorten the straps even on the padded part.
    Now Jasmine fits like a dream https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />))

    The band
Perfect, snug, back fat minimising, 3 hooks and quite sturdy

    The straps
Too thin if you ask me. Nicely padded, you can adjust all the way with some playing around, but I don't think theye are ment to be fully adjustable.

    The wires
They are narrower and shorter than most panache wires. I really see this as an major improvement. The gore is also narrower.

    The cups
4 - part cups with the lace upper section. The fabric is very sturdy and I think it will last. However, the lace seems VERY delicate and thin, and at the same time it's VERY stretchy. I am courious how this will behave with wear. This type of lace could be at the same time the strongest, and the weakest point of the bra.
I feel the cups are a bit deeper than the andorra.

    The comfort
I am really impressed with cup construction - the lace part is great, it's like spidersweb - very thin, silky and I don't feel it at all. The band is really comfortable and snug, I don't even feel the wires that much now that Ive bent them. The only place I feel the bra is the straps - they digg in a bit, my boobs are too heavy for such thin straps.

    The shape
This one really does give great shape and uplift. The profile is round - but not the fake round you sometimes get from cleo, but more natural round. I even feel like it slightly minimises the bust without compromising on projection. It's not exactly the green shape, but it isn't that far from it - I don't have any boob bumping with arms https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
Not really sure how this is possible https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" />
The side support pannel centers the boobs much more than the andorra

    Room from improvement
    - wider straps!!!
    - print - not really my cup of tea.
    - I'd like to have this in some lighter colours also, white or nude.

    Conclusion
Highly reccomend. I think this bra will work for almost every shape out there. Great everyday bra.
I feel this bra is anoucing new era in panache bras and I think it is proof that bramakers really hear our feedback.

    • Oh please, pictures :) I am very curious about how you bent the wires to make it fit :)

    • I actually bend the wires while wearing the bra. I bend them in the middle, on the very bottom if cups, and at the middle of the gore. I angled it more inwards to make it sit flat. I think this wires are softer than your usual panache :)

    • Softer wires than usual Panache :O I might need to try this bra after all if only for the wires. I really hate Panache wires.

We really must have the total opposite in rib cage shapes however :D

    • Thanks for the detailed review Vlatka! I wore it yesterday for the first time. I still think the 30JJ is a bit generous for my smaller breast, but it's a better fit than I originally thought. It indeed must be deeper in the cups than the Andorra, because the Andorra in 30J really was too small for me. But because I already got a kind of orange in a glass thingie on my bigger side, a smaller cup probably won't work either. I just couldn't send it back;) And yes it really gives a great upfront look under clothes. However I was bit a bit black and blue after wearing it for a while, because the center gore won't sit flat on me either - the wires rest thoroughley at breast tissue. Especially my left boob - the bigger one - was a bit black and blue after wearing it. But I will follow your advise and try to bend it. But how did you manage to adjust the non-adjustable part of the straps? On my smaller side I really I need to shorten them a bit more than now is possible;)
By the way, I've encountered a white version on Ebay. So it does exist in other colours;)

    • 1

Wow, I'll look for that, thanks.
Now, the straps - you won't be able to shorten it just by pulling up the plastic thingy - you have to pull the strap out with your finger from the middle of the plastic adjuster and then straighten it down - that way you can pull through the padded part too. Am I making any sense?
As for the wires - I had the same problem. After bending the gore, you'll have to scoop your boobs away from the gore :)

    • I think the next version is a flower print. I look forward to that one, I don't like bird prints at all.

The bottom section on Jasmine is cut much higher than the bottom section of Andorra. That's why everyone think it's deeper I assume. While the Andorra has the bottom and upper sections being about the same height the Jasmine is clearly bigger on the bottom.

That's why it's probably a true bummer for me. I am not full where that bra is full :D

    • You are right! That explains why my nipples aren't peaking through the lace :D

    • Since I saw you in that Amourette Triumph bra I maybe should have known better than suggesting the Andorra to you :O My boobs are kind of upside down from yours :D

But you should make a bra adventure about the scoping from the center gore! That was genious. I just did it on my Andorra :D

    • Gervaise, are you sure that wasnt the elomi jasmine? Ive been looking for it, cant find it :(

    • @Vlatka, yes you do make sense. I tried it, but I almost ruined my fingers, haha. I think I am going to try it with a knitting needle or something similar.
About the white version. Here it is http://www.ebay.nl/itm/NEW-Panache-Bras-Jasmin-Underwired-Bra-White-30D-/120634326258?pt=UK_Women_s_Lingerie&hash=item1c165dbcf2#ht_1489wt_1057. But unfortunately it's a D cup, so not very useful;)

    • Eliza, bratabase also reccomended andorra to me :) it's a nice bra, just a bit more east-west than I'd like but not nearly as bad as amourette :))) hate that bra with a passion :) sid the gore thing work on the andorra? i thought everybody did the scooping thing that way :)

    • eliza, yes I also think the bottom section is higher than on the Andorra. But still it also has a deeper cup, I am quite sure about it;)

    • Gervaise, Im pretty sure that is not the same bra, the cut is different - this is a 3 part cup, and our jasmine is a 4 part :) Never saw this bra in my life :)

    • @Vlatka: Can you add pics of you in the Andorra? I'm curious.

Also the scoping from the center gore kind of works but the wires ends a little bit lower.

    • Gervaise: It being deeper is an even bigger bummer for me. Damn ;/

    • @Vlatka, after taking a better look at it, I guess you are right. This can't be the same item. Weird...

    • eliza, to be honest I liked the Andorra more than the Jasmine. Probably indeed because the Andorra has a smaller bottom section. Although the Jasmine gives a better shape under clothes. Like Vlatka says, indeed less east/west-ish. And also a bit firmer than the Andorra. I think Alisa noticed this too when they compared both styles.

    • Gervaise: Ah I see. The 34J Andorra on the tightest hook on me is perfectly rounded but my boobs are way closer to my body than yours (if I'm in the right size and shape that is!) so I can understand how it can become east and west for you.

    • 1

@Vlatka, I read you advice again regarding the strap adjust, and now I also managed to non-adjustable part with my fingers:)

    • 1

Oops. Sloppy me.. I meant: I managed to adjust the non-adjustable part with my fingers;)

    • Great review, Vlatka. I have also had problems with the wires (have with almost all my bras) but I haven't bent them because first I wanted to send the bra back. Now I have finally ordered a 30JJ of Jasmine. Can't wait for it :):) Btw. Figleaves has a 20% off offer now ;)
That Jasmin(e) in white I think this is an old style of Panache, it looks nothing like this one. The will be a new flower version with navy blue lace for next season of Jasmine.

    • Yes, Panache has reused the name Jasmine for their bras. Very strange move I think but there is clearly an old model out there named Jasmine. It's available from Undercoverexperience as well.

Thanks for that 20% Figleaves discount notice Alica!

    • 1

Good news for you! :) Panache is coming out not only with Jasmine in a pale pink color for next season (A/W), but there's a new neutral based off the Jasmine coming out that will come in beige and black. I can't remember the name of it off the top of my head, but they're on their way!

    • Envy and Dahlia I think they are called :)) I know, I will go bankrupt this fall :))

This bra is gorgeous. It reminds me of a carribean night. The name means "dove" in Spanish. The print is reminiscent of palm trees. There is beautiful scalloped lace across the tops of the cups, and it is echoed at the bottom of the gore. If this bra had the fabric continued around the back it would be so pretty to wear in lieu of a bralette with an open backed shirt. The fabric is mesh, perfect for hot summer days.

This is a bra whose straps do not adjust as short as I need. Of all the bras I have tried this is the first bra ... whose straps don't adjust enough, which I imagine may be a bigger problem for people who tend to need shorter straps. Like other Panache bras, the wires are a bit too wide, I have about a thumb width of fabric beyond where my breasts end under my arm. Related to this, also similar to other Panache bras, the upper edge of the cups are way in to my arm pits. I think this bra is for someone who is more full on top, I am not getting a smooth line across the top. The bra does have enough immediate projection for me, and the gore is comfortable for my close set breasts, although is hovers just barely off of my sternum. Finally, this bra does not give me a very supported shape, the top of my breasts just go in a straight line down like a ski jump.

That is such a pretty bra! The shape it gives you looks sorta retro, like a 50's lady, if that makes sense. :)
I've always had the same problems with Panache bras eating into my armpits, as well.
It's too bad this doesn't work for you! It's really a gorgeous print.

    • 3

I wonder what that bra would do on someone who already has a pointy shape.

    • 1

Thank you for the Spanish lesson. :-) Such a beautiful word, fabric, and bird. I wish Panache would try some new design characteristics.....

This bra reminds me of easter. I have the mint and lavender colorway. The spring colors are combined with the delicate feminine touches like ruffles on the straps and thin ribbon edging.

This bra comes close to fitting. The gore tacks, but my close set breasts push one wire overlapping the other. The wires seem very wide, and there is a bit of empty space on my sides. Thankfully the wires do not go up to high to poke in to my armpits. The bottom part of the underwire curve presses a bit uncomfortably into my ribs, I suspect it would bother me more if I wore it all day. The bra is wearable for me, but gives me a rather pointy shape, which is not what I prefer.

Have you tried Comexim in 70M or N? You’ll get quite lower and shorter wires, so you won’t have the cups wrapping around you like in this bra.

I really wanted to love this bra. The color is gorgeous, peacock blue. It has a firm band, comfortable stretch lace, and provides nice shaping. I was happy with everything about this bra, except the one thing that made it unwearable, the cup cutting in to my armpit. I felt like the cup was sized pretty well for me, it went a little farther around my side than necessary, but not bad. The top of the side cup is just so tall. It feels like it is a shape mismatch for me. I'm curious if other people have experienced this with this bra, and I would love to hear suggestions if you think I can get one to fit.

    • At the top of the Manage Pictures page for your bra, check the box where it says “Make pictures visible next to my bra information.”

I'm not sure you can get this one to fit without altering it yourself. The top part looks like it's cut for someone with much wider shoulders than most people have.

Not pregnant or nursing. I bought this to have an alternative to the tail cutting 30J - Panache » Alisha Support (6096). This bra is softer than the Alisha and has 3 columns of hooks instead of two. The design is pretty and the lace isn't itchy. The straps are wider set than the Alisha, but this may be due in part to this being meant for a rib cage that is wider than mine. The cups are very wide, but since there are no wires this isn't much of a problem. The band is very stretchy and causes me shoulder and neck pain faster than the Alisha. This would be a perfect wireless bra if it only came in a 28 in my size. This bra is however, fantastic for sleeping. The nursing clips don't bother me and it stays in place very well.

This seems to be the right size in Panache for me but from comparing this with my Ewa Michalak bras, I think that the Panache bras are just too wide on my body. It looks like I really need narrower, deeper cups, which this bra does not have. I end up with empty space on the sides/bottom but a quadraboob effect on top so I have to readjust the bra often.

The bra is certainly pretty but I found the material to be itchy. The straps themselves are pretty wide set, which I found digs into my arms some.

This bra is just gorgeous. I always wanted this red colorway of the long gone Ariza. It's the perfect red, bright and vibrant that doesn't lean into orange / tomato red. It's a strawberry red. Anyway the bra does not fit me. Bra calculators give me sizes like 30J / 30JJ these days but the cups on this bra are just too small.
Also Ariza is known to be shallow in the cups, so this does not go well with my fot, center full boobs. The wires and gore are very tall, the whole bra feels very supportive. I don't like the thin straps very much. The pics don't even show how much it cuts in, but I think it is a good cup size too small.
If i can ever find it I would try it in 30JJ or 32J.

This is the bra size in this style that bratabase said would be likely to fit based on my measurements. Ordered during quarantine while I couldn't be fit in person locally, and I saw this colour was only available in the size recommended. It seemed like kismet! I was shocked to be a J cup, and it turns out, I'm not one. The dark green is a really nice colour, but this bra is not a great fit. Surprisingly, it's actually wearable without alterations and even somewhat supports me. The wires come way too far under my arm, well past my breast tissue though, and are also about ... 3/4 inch below where they should sit under my breasts. This is okay in comfort for some hours, but if sitting a fair bit, the underwire being so low on my ribs becomes very uncomfortable. The band is ultratight; I wore it this way for the photos only, and otherwise use an extender. You can also see in the overhead shot that a sort of strange shape occurs at toward the side of my breast. It's not terribly noticeable when I'm dressed, but it's definitely not idea. I think I may be able to alter this bra to fit nicely, but it will be a lot of work and I'm not sure it's really worth the time to do it.

Having tried this bra on in store a couple of days ago, the 32 band is the right fit for me, and while an H cup is very comfy and would be lovely for hanging around the house in, the 32GG is the best fit overall with the wires sitting where they should. I plan to buy this bra in other colours in the correct size because I do really like it. The matching panty has a really nice back detail (the front is "meh" to me, but the lace bum is worth it).

I've been wearing the tango for approx 18 months but this new bra is wrong on every level.
The bra band stretches too far. This is supposed to be a 30inch but after only wearing it 3 times it's stretching out to 36 inch and after only 2 weeks I need to wear on the tightest hooks but unable to do so due to quad boob. My old one only stretches out to 34 and is clearly 2 inch bigger when held against each other. The shoulder straps also need constant tightening as they're slipping to a longer position, I've never experienced that on the tango before. And finally the tango doesn't give a great shape but this one is even worse and I look like I have a quad boob with an odd upper flat area.

All I can say is, if it actually fit me like it should this would've been one of those bras that I wear until they fall apart (quite literally). I'm not so sure of my shape but I've found that seamed/padding Free bras are the ones that I am able to fill completely and this bra is no exception! The band does run tight though, which for me is a good thing because I'm in between a 26 and 28 band. The lace in this bra is very forgiving as I do not know what size I am currently but I do know that this is too small ... (underwires resting on boobs - leaving marks - bigger Boob being forced down lower into the cup) yet somehow I feel like I'm not spilling as nearly as bad as I should be. The shape that this bra gives under a t-shirt though is lovely. Like many others this bra fits more like a full coverage bra than anything even though it's listed as a balconette. If anyone has any fit tips or advice feel free to comment!

Updated review: Due to a recent size fluctuation this bra now fits me perfectly! The only slight issue that I have is how high the cups come under my arms.

I did see the Melody on Amazon in 28KK though! I was figuring the most I'd have to go up would be two cup sizes as I'm having quadding/boobs spilling and escaping from the back of the bra. Another thing is the fact that I don't really know my actual breast shape/type, to me I seem to balance between FOB and FOT.

    Envy 30J
I am adding this bra for data/informational purposes only. This Bra is not owned by me at the time of addition to the database.

Envy is an unpadded underwire balconette bra. I have it in peacock blue, which is quite beautiful. The tops of the cups are a very stretchy lace. There are 4 parts to the cup, 3 vertical and 1 horizontal. I tried Envy in 30J and 30JJ, but this review is for 30J only.

The band measures 25” to a max of 31.5” with 3 hooks and 3 rows of eyes.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the ... tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 12.5”

2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 14”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

  14. Andorra Full Cup Bra (5675)

Although I have a few isses with it, this is still one of the comfiest bras out there. It feels like you are not wearing a bra at all.
Sadly I grew out of the 30J very fast.

I would recommend to go up 1 cup-size in this bra, especially when you are full-on-top.
The bottom section does run quite shallow which makes sizing up necessary.
Also it give a much better shape in a cup size bigger + straps more tightened. (see my comparison of 30J and 32J here: *is going to add link soon* )
The band is quite stretchy so don’t size up in band size, and if you ... are between 2 band- sizes, go for the smaller.

    What I like about it:

-Comfy strechy lace on top of the cups which does fit different shapes.
    -Side support panel
-Wires are actually narrow enough for me
    -Overall comfy feeling
    -Looks pretty ;D

    What I dislike about it:

    -Thin shoulder straps
-Because of the shallow bottom section boobs were pushed to the side and top. (but if you size up 1 cup size then it gives quite a round shape)
    - Qualitly: I’m really underwhelmed with the quality! (and I bought it new for full price) I wore it for like 5 weeks almost everyday and looks like I wore it for years. The lace under the wires frazzels and tore apart / also the lace near the shoulder straps on top of the cups starts to unravel.

    Quality: 2 (see above)
Comfort: 4 (-1 for the thin shoulder straps)
    Bra appearance: 4

    So I give it a 3.5 overall https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

I think my boobs have too much projection for this one - it pushes them to the sides and it doesn't work well with my very large upper boob part. It doesn't exactly cut in, but It does look weird under clothes. it looks like it's too small but I think also it's just the wrong cup construction for me - not enough depth in the cups and too wide wires.
I am sad because this is a supercomfy bra that has worked well for a lot of women and I would stil highly recommend it to anyone who has less projection/more shallow boobs than me (which is most people https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" />)

For reference - i'd say it runs a cupsize smaller than the panache jasmine in the same size.

    • I was just typing my review of the Andorra, when I saw you put yours up :D
Too bad it does not work for you.
Btw: I look quite like you in my too small 30J. 32J does however look better.

    • I actually use it as my leisure bra and am very happy with it :) but I wouldn't step outside the cup wearing it, the shape iz superweird.
Do you get east-west in 32J? Im hesitant to order one because I don't really like that look.

    • Let's say I get a bit of a east-west look because it pushes my boobs to side & on top. But nowhere near a Curvy-Kate-balconette east-west look.

Very cute bra, but seems to fit like it's several cup sizes too small.

I purchased it to sleep in, and while it's still fairly comfortable, it looks a little ridiculous. There is absolutely 0 separation, it may as well not have any kind of cup structure. I also spill out of the top front significantly. I don't have an explanation for this with the measurements. There's no way I could wear this in any situation other than in bed at home to sleep.

This bra could've been a perfect fit if it was a cup size smaller, but it's not a big problem. A simple alteration will definitely fix it. I'm actually thinking I don't need to alter it because it's not that much bigger to where it is uncomfortable. It looks pretty good! The appearance of the bra itself is beautiful. The colors are so enticing and a great combination of midnight blue and royal purple. Such a pretty bra! The band is quite snug but not too tight, which is how I like the band to fit. I'm hoping over time I can get some sort of boob growth and it would fit perfectly!

EDIT: It's very funny how I said this bra fit in the band and was too big in the cups because now it's switched; the cups are good but now the band is too tight lol. Could be a better fit as 32HH.

    Panache Fiesta in 30J
I am adding this bra for data/informational purposes only. This Bra is not owned by me at the time of addition to the database.

Fiesta is an unlined underwire balcony bra in a plaid type pattern. It comes in a few colors, but I tried it in mint/lavender, size 30J. There are 3 sections to the cup, set in the standard 2 on bottom, 1 on top format.

The band measures 23.85” to a max of 29.75” stretched, which was really pushing it. Since the band is a 30 band, I was a bit surprised that I had to really stretch it just to get to ... 29.75”. There are 3 hooks and 3 rows of eyes on the band.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 13.2”

2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 14.5”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

I’ve never been a fan of Panache, but couldn’t resist the pastel green/purple plaid. Unfortunately, this one (like most Panache bras) didn’t work for me.

Panache Paloma in 30J taller ctr gore

I am adding this bra for data/informational purposes only. This Bra is not owned by me at the time of addition to the database.

Paloma is an unpadded underwire balconette bra. The color/pattern is Black with red, grey, and white wispy splash on the cups. It is labeled as orange but there isn’t any orange on it. The red has a very slight orange hue to it, but it is what I’d call red way before orange. I tried this bra in 30J (twice), 30JJ, & 30K. This review is for the 30J with a taller gore.

The band measures 25.5” to ... a max of 33”, with 3 hooks and 3 rows of eyes.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 12.75”

The center gore on this one is 4.25”, and the side wing is 5” tall. The cup distance is 1.15”, making them fairly wide set. The length of the wire is 13.75”, making it shorter than the other 30J Paloma bra, which is quite odd.

The straps are wide set, but all the Panache bras are this way.

The biggest issue with this bra is that the outer tulle is looser than the tulle lining. This makes the cups look like they bunch/wrinkle even though they are quite full. If they were any fuller, I’d have quad boob. This was an issue with both 30Js I got. At $29, it wasn’t expensive, but I’d still expect a better quality at that price.

While the measurements are similar in the 2 30Js, there are enough differences to make it frustrating when ordering, as you don’t know what you’ll really get. It always amazes me just how different two bras in the same size and style can be so varied in measurements. This fact explains why so many women can rate the same bra differently, as too big, too small, or fit as expected.
