This bra is gorgeous. It reminds me of a carribean night. The name means "dove" in Spanish. The print is reminiscent of palm trees. There is beautiful scalloped lace across the tops of the cups, and it is echoed at the bottom of the gore. If this bra had the fabric continued around the back it would be so pretty to wear in lieu of a bralette with an open backed shirt. The fabric is mesh, perfect for hot summer days.

This is a bra whose straps do not adjust as short as I need. Of all the bras I have tried this is the first bra ... whose straps don't adjust enough, which I imagine may be a bigger problem for people who tend to need shorter straps. Like other Panache bras, the wires are a bit too wide, I have about a thumb width of fabric beyond where my breasts end under my arm. Related to this, also similar to other Panache bras, the upper edge of the cups are way in to my arm pits. I think this bra is for someone who is more full on top, I am not getting a smooth line across the top. The bra does have enough immediate projection for me, and the gore is comfortable for my close set breasts, although is hovers just barely off of my sternum. Finally, this bra does not give me a very supported shape, the top of my breasts just go in a straight line down like a ski jump.

That is such a pretty bra! The shape it gives you looks sorta retro, like a 50's lady, if that makes sense. :)
I've always had the same problems with Panache bras eating into my armpits, as well.
It's too bad this doesn't work for you! It's really a gorgeous print.

I wonder what that bra would do on someone who already has a pointy shape.

Thank you for the Spanish lesson. :-) Such a beautiful word, fabric, and bird. I wish Panache would try some new design characteristics.....

Panache Paloma in 30J taller ctr gore

I am adding this bra for data/informational purposes only. This Bra is not owned by me at the time of addition to the database.

Paloma is an unpadded underwire balconette bra. The color/pattern is Black with red, grey, and white wispy splash on the cups. It is labeled as orange but there isn’t any orange on it. The red has a very slight orange hue to it, but it is what I’d call red way before orange. I tried this bra in 30J (twice), 30JJ, & 30K. This review is for the 30J with a taller gore.

The band measures 25.5” to ... a max of 33”, with 3 hooks and 3 rows of eyes.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 12.75”

2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 14”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

The center gore on this one is 4.25”, and the side wing is 5” tall. The cup distance is 1.15”, making them fairly wide set. The length of the wire is 13.75”, making it shorter than the other 30J Paloma bra, which is quite odd.

The straps are wide set, but all the Panache bras are this way.

The biggest issue with this bra is that the outer tulle is looser than the tulle lining. This makes the cups look like they bunch/wrinkle even though they are quite full. If they were any fuller, I’d have quad boob. This was an issue with both 30Js I got. At $29, it wasn’t expensive, but I’d still expect a better quality at that price.

While the measurements are similar in the 2 30Js, there are enough differences to make it frustrating when ordering, as you don’t know what you’ll really get. It always amazes me just how different two bras in the same size and style can be so varied in measurements. This fact explains why so many women can rate the same bra differently, as too big, too small, or fit as expected.

The center gore on this one is 4”, and the side wing is 4.75” tall. The cup distance is .0875”. The length of the wire is 14.5”, making it longer than the other 30J Paloma bra, which is quite odd.

The biggest issue with this bra is that the outer tulle is looser than the tulle lining. This makes the cups look like they bunch/wrinkle even though they are quite full. This was an issue with both 30Js I got. This makes the bra not wearable under a t shirt, but will still work under a sweatshirt, so thus it’s what I call a winter bra. At $29, it wasn’t expensive, but I’d expect a better quality at that price. I could remove the lining, but that most likely will take away the support, so it’s a gamble.
