(This is copy/pasted from my review of the same bra in 38JJ. I grew out of the 38JJ and got the 40K as a 36L sister size. I find that they fit me exactly the same besides the fact that the band is way too loose. I have altered it to fit a 36 inch ribcage and it seems to be perfect for my size and shape. The measurements reflect the bra in it's unaltered state)
For reference I have FOT and pendulous breasts with short, wide roots. My breasts are splayed, and high set.
I tried the Panache Harmony Balconette (which is very similar to this) in a ...32KK with an extender to make it fit like a 36JJ, and due to the semi adjustable straps and bandless construction, the Harmony offered little to no support and really let me down, although the side profile was nicely rounded. I wear it to sleep because the material is really lightweight and soft. I received this bra in a grab bag from Break Out Bras, and wasn't expecting much. I ordered it in a 38JJ because my usual size of 36K was unavailable. When I tried this bra on, it confirmed my suspicions about why the Harmony was a let down. The fully adjustable straps and banded construction helped me out, and this bra is easily one of my favorites in terms of support, comfort, and shape.
The materials on this bra feel luxurious and silky. It's easily the softest fabric I've ever felt on any bra. The band is a little bit loose, but I'm planning on altering it to fit like a 36 because I'm already wearing it on the tightest hooks. The straps are adjusted almost all the way, which is normal for me because I'm short with high set breasts. I wasn't expecting to like the appearance of this bra because "nude" and "fullcup" are usually things I avoid like the plague, but the shade of nude and design of the cups are actually quite pleasant to me. Lots of bras in this size range seem to hide the size of my breasts, but I actually do feel quite busty in this bra for some reason.
The shape is very natural and rounded. It makes my boobs look supported and nice without being "in your face" about it. It looks very nice under shirts and on it's own. It makes me look slimmer than other bras I own that make my boobs look too obvious.
I wore this bra for 14 hours while running errands and such, and I didn't have to readjust at all. Because of my short stature I usually have to pull my bra down a little bit because the wires start to dig due to being too tall. I really never noticed it until I wore this bra all day and forgot I was wearing it. The lightweight material kept me cool and minimized boob sweat even on a really hot and humid day. The only reason I took it off was to measure it for Bratabase.
This bra is discontinued, but you can still find it on eBay and other sites. I'd seriously recommend it if you think your breasts are like mine. Feel free to look at my other reviews to see what else fits me.
The lace on the upper cups is gorgeous, but this is very much a full cup bra. It will probably show under scoop neck shirts. The cups are very thin so they don't shape a lot and there may be a little show through, but the support is still pretty good. It's definitely not a round shape, but kind of a gentle slope on top. Does tend to widen me out on the sides. Because it's completely unlined, I wouldn't want to wear it under a thin shirt; and it doesn't shape enough to wear under heavier clothes.
Not enough support. The cup is perhaps too large, but hard to tell. The top of the center gore was digging in, but if I pressed the bottom of the cup against my ribs it felt better. The bottom of the cup wrinkled -- I felt the "urge to hoist." It's a very pretty bra, if it fit! I returned it.
Panache Melody is an okay fit. It's one of the few bras that actually come in my size. It's wires are too wide and poke because they end on my back and there is some weird wire / shape mismatch going on but it's nice to have all breast tissue in cups for once.
The fabric is smooth and soft against the skin. The shoulder straps are too separated for my frame and cut into my arms. The fabric of the cups comes up quite high since it's a full cup style. I also would not call it "full on top friendly", since the upper section where the lace is runs quite tight. I recommend sizing up if between sizes. The shape from the front is rather wide.
Panache of course decided to discontinue the Melody, their only bra up to a KK cup. Thanks Panache...
I got this bra in a give away. I'm thankful for the opportunity to try this Panache bra. Too bad it doesn't work for me. It's a shape mis-match. The bra is a solid construction in good quality you'd expect from Panache. The band is too big for me, which was kinda expected as I'm wearing a 32 or 34 band. I thought that if the cups fit, I could shorten the band. The cups are a really bad fit on my deep and center heavy boobs. The wire width would be okay but the cups are just too shallow. This bra has shallow wide and tall cups. I need deep, medium wide and kinda tall cups. I don't think it would work in a bigger cup size as the wires then would probably still be too wide and the cups still too shallow at the top and center. I only recommend this bra, if you have rather wide and shallow boobs.
Good coverage, unstretchy lace, and heavy embroidery. The firmness of the lace is an asset. Very stiff underwires. General suspension-bridge vibe. I will definitely look up this diesel bra in a smaller cup size.
It fits me the way most panache bras do, the wires are too wide so it pokes me under the arm and the band fits but is almost too big. Although I think the volume of the cup is good, the shape of it isn't good for me, so I end up with quad boob but empty cup space on the side. It gets pretty uncomfortable when I wear it for too long.
Gives a little bit of quad-boob on the left (which is bigger), but barely noticeable. Very pretty bra. Seam does show under shirts. Band a little big which can result in some digging and migration of the outside wires. Has started pilling under the armpits. Color invisible under a white shirt.
ok, i am about to post a lot of bras that don't fit. my reviews truly wont be helpful but hopefully my measurements are. I recently lost 75 lbs, so I need new bras. going from obese to healthy weight, well it is a big change, so I am pretty much starting from scratch. I took my measurements and ordered a heidi klum and a couple panache in the sizes closest, but all were just way too small in the cup, so obviously uncomfortable for me, but i wanted to get the measurements up here for others as once i start to zero in on correct size, I find others measurements helped me alot with the right brand and style.
this one is sort of close if I add a band extender so i can kind of sit the bottom underwire on the lower part of my breasts to avoid the quad boob thing
