  1. Yoko Half Cup

    Finally!
An embarrassingly longgg overdue review of Yoko, bought in 2016.

I only remembered that I had never actually added/measured/reviewed this bra, when I finally decided it was really getting too worn out; and order the New Yoko (Plunge) last Black Friday! Figured this review might still serve someone's purpose, when deciding which of the 2 Yoko's to order?

This (2016) was my first time ordering from Comexim.

Looked back in my email order confirmation, and I asked for the following:
    - 3HC style (I think the original Yoko advertised is 2HC)
    - Straps moved in 3 cm.
    - Back band with 3x4 closure
    - Cookie pockets
    - Cups lowered by ~2 cm.
    - Gore lowered by ... ~2 cm. and gore narrowed, with overlapping wires
    - Size 70K - or equivalent to allow for ~28cm. cup depth

(As you can see I was nervous abut what size to order, and ended up with way too many alterations. For what I can tell, all of them were done - even though the gore is so low that there's no possible overlap, which is fine.)

Nonetheless, what arrived was a strikingly beautiful, mesh-fabric-based bra that sparked a LOT of joy!!
Definitely some Asian vibes going on, and this vibrant/electric blue fan-shaped embroidery... Even more gorgeous than I imagined.

As you can see in the photos, lowering the cups was not the greatest idea - as it's pretty small / low coverage on me.
I may have grown slightly since then, but it has always been a bit too snug.

No worries though I, was still very pleased with my purchase, as Yoko was super comfortable, the straps easily blended in with my black-favored-wardrobe, the lower coverage meant it could be worn under any neckline... I've worn this bra to death! It is actually one of my only bras with lots of noticeable wear. After 4 years of at least bi-weekly wear, and sometimes being the only bra brought along on a city trip / weekend away / sweaty festival etc. - that seems very reasonable haha..

For whoever is curious; the signs of wear:
The straps have permanently 'rolled'/twisted (when unworn), the cups do some buckling / creasing, the band has stretched out a lot / mesh getting worn out and going extra see-through in places... (Almost to the point where I've considered doing some experimental bra surgery: replacing this worn-out band with a cheap black bra's band?) Anyway, keep in mind that the band measurement was definitely smaller when purchased.

All in all not a great fit, but a super comfy bra that has accompanied me on many adventures.

    When I found out there was a Plunge 'Yoko' coming out, confusingly named 'Yoko 1' (huh? shouldn't the _first_ bra of this design coming out be Yoko 1? I refuse to call her by this illogical name.) I decided to order that, to replace this trusty boob-companion. Rest in peace OG Yoko, you've served me well. And I may or may not still Franken-bra-ify you (;

(BTW my Yoko Plunge arrived early January and a review on that is upcoming as well - spoiler alert: fits way better)

Also, appendix about the matching briefs:
The briefs in 'szorty' style, XL, sadly never fit me comfortably.
They're definitely big enough (43" hips/butt), but the leg-openings cut into my hip crease for some reason? Some rough elastics that were used? Also I found the mesh material less comfy in the briefs than in the bra (I've always been a sucker for cotton underwear and while these do have a cotton crotch, the main mesh just feels a bit rough on me). Anyhow, in my recent Black Friday order I tried ordering the Yoko briefs in 'Princess' style (like 'tanga' briefs) and they're a success!

I promise I mean this in a very non-creepy way...your boobs look amazing in this.

I have been admiring this bra for quite a while, probably as long as you have had this bra. :) I look forward to your review of the newer model, I am curious how they really differ.

Thanks AllyBra , I've always found the small-ish-ness did not really compromise the look! Apart from some bulging, the 3HC is quite a forgiving bra style!

I'll try to get up the Plunge review asap (:

The band on this bra can easily stretch out to about 31". Although, this distorts the wires quite a bit. The most it will stretch without distortion or little distortion is about 29".
The cup depth can stretch to about 11".
It appears to be a really nice bra.
The gore came overlapped at the top.
The band is made of quite a stretchy material. Which makes sense, I'm sure they were worried about people being uncomfortable in a firm long line band.
I'd say the wires are a bit average width for this size with the cups running a bit small.
I'm sure most women on here would say it is a ... shallow bra, though I think it has a very good amount of projection for a half cup bra.
The lace the cups are made of are only a bit stretchy.
    Story of this bra:
I moved in with a friend a few months ago and his very well endowed girlfriend was suffering in 34DDD/US (34E UK) Victoria's Secrets bras. So, I had to help her. She was more than happy and willing to accept the help, but wouldn't buy herself any bras. So, I purchased her a few. This was one of them.
I ordered this from Breakout Bras (through their Amazon store). They said it was in UK sizing but that their sizing ran differently, so to order two cup sizes larger than normal. I did this. I ordered a 30HH - I sized her into a 30GG. Though with a horizontal perimeter of 12-13 inches, I am sure she will quickly grow out of the 30GGs I got her.
She can't quite comfortably wear this bra because the edge of the long line goes down to her skeletal waist and her skeletal waist is quite a bit larger than her under bust. The wires seem to be a an decent fit and the gore seems alright as well. There is some collapsing at the bottom of the cup.
She is quite close set, average-narrow roots, petite frame (5'2"), and very full all over (quite round). Unsupported she appears a bit splayed and pendulous (which originally made her think she was wide set).

You're awesome for bravangelizing her! Thank you on behalf of all bra-wearers!

    • 2

You're doing that girl a great solid! Cute bra.

    • 2

I was a little bit confused when I saw your name on this but I am glad to see that you have been helping a friend. It makes sense now! I love the aesthetics of this bra, but I would definitely have to custom it with no longline.

    • I bet it was a bit confusing Calluna ! Though I seem to have grown quite a bit with weight gain (ALOT more than the last time I put on this same amount of weight), so my Comexim 65F is one of the few bras I have that I can wear. Even the 65E BM from Ewa I got is too small (I still wear it though, it fits close enoigh lol).
I would definitely prefer she make and account herself and post photos, but she doesn't care about all that. Every time I talk to her about measurements, shapes and stuff she always responds with something like "I just want a bra that fits!" Lol. But at least i know she will spread the info if she gets a chance. And I can always input the data.
I'm still confused if this is 65L of if Comexim is making UK size labeled bras for Breakout Bras. X.x

    • 1

LeProfessor If it's from BoB and it says 30HH, it's a 65J. BoB labels their Comexims two sizes up--so all my 65Ks from them say 30J.

  3. Queen Of Hearts Plunge Bra (367)

So this is my long awaited Valentine’s Day order set. I took the opportunity to order this with a different set of alterations than the Hot Chocolate plunge, and I chose this bra because it was one of the older styles which was less expensive to test out the new combination, and it was sort of Valentine’s Day themed with the red and black.

My initial order had a mixup with my address and it was quickly remedied and reshipped to me. Right before the Covid lockdowns started (early March). I finally got it at the end of May. Almost 3 months after shipping. Nevertheless, it did arrive. ... It was definitely frustrating, especially when it wasn’t trackable once it left Poland. It’s taken a while to get this up because I had to redo my measurements and I didn’t really wear it right away once I got it.

So this bra has smooth black cups with a crimson red cradle - the gore and wings included. There is a black and red flat bow at the gore. While others have bows at the straps, however mine doesn’t. I’m not sure if it’s an oversight or what, but I’m honestly not mad. I actually prefer it this way, as it is slightly more functional without (though it is prettier with). The overall smoothness of this bra is another reason for choosing it, and the red and black makes it super easy to match underwear with it, though I do have the matching bottoms. This is also the colours of my work uniform, so I feel like it was a good choice at the time.

So on to the fit. I went very conservative with the alterations. This was to see what the fit was like with minimal alterations, as I have tried a few bras in this size with various changes. Here’s what I went with:

    -straps moved in 2cm
    -overlapping gore
    -2x4 hooks

As you can see, I went with pretty much no cup changes. I wanted to see what the cup height was like with simply the straps moved in, full gore height, and no added depth at the wire. My 70H Hot Chocolate, by comparison, was straps moved in 2cm, gore reduced 1cm and 2cm added depth to the wire. The cups fit pretty well, but I feel like maybe a little bit taller than I need. I’ve tightened up the straps a bit as it was a little gappy (more on my small side). It’s fairly slight though, so I think if the gore was a little bit lower, that might take off just enough material. I’m not sure if reduced cups 1cm in addition would render the cups too small, but I think I might be able to go with that. I’m also not sure if I need more depth at the wire, but I’m kinda thinking that maybe 1cm would be ok. A part of me is thinking about maybe a 70G with 2-3 cm of depth added. It would be naturally a little smaller overall in cup width and height, but the depth would potentially improve the cup volume (because it is otherwise too small). This would mean fewer alterations to achieve the same thing with the 70H/HH with more alterations. In theory. It’s all confusing, but I sent a long email asking for help with alterations and questions. I suspect that it was too long, despite including the translation, as I have not gotten a response yet. I would definitely like to place another order in but I am hesitant about the size and alterations.

On to the band. I definitely knew going into this that it might be snug. I did use the measurements here which seemed to indicate that it was a bit longer and/or stretchier band for a 65, otherwise I probably would have ordered the 70. As a precaution, I requested that it have a 2x4 closure. I knew I would need the extra column of hooks. It’s a pretty snug band but definitely doable with the extra hooks. It feels like the 70s I have from my last order, and those have relaxed with washing and wear. I have worn the bra 2-3 times so far, and it’s definitely a noticeable snug, it’s not that uncomfortable unless I have relaxed in my bed or on the couch. I do still have a mark on my skin from earlier today though, so it is kind of borderline. I’m not wearing it at work for full days yet.

The gore, I’m rather torn with. It’s not uncomfortable in this height, but it does feel a little bit tall for a plunge. I have not decided if I’m going to get future bras with lower gores or not. If I just got the cups reduced, how will that affect the look and fit? I’m leaning towards keeping the cup height, but lowering the gore 1cm to see how that affects the fit. I’m undecided if I want to try 1cm of depth in addition yet. So lots to think about with the fit of this and the other ones to prepare for the next order.

Now I have to say I’m actually not as in love with this bra as I was expecting to be. I think it’s the aesthetic of such a larger coverage of black cups with the red. I feel like if it was all black, the coverage from the cups would not appear to be so weird on me. With the design as is, I think that I would be much happier if the cups and gore were lower. Also, the cups seem to be a little pointy at the center of the seam between the upper and lower cups. I’m hoping that the heat from my body and wear will round it out some.

The matching bottoms, on the other hand, are absolutely awesome. I have a size medium and they fit me well. The lace on the back and edge is perfect. It’s a actually the bottoms that sold the bra to me.

I’m not sure if I am keeping the set or not. I feel like I have a good bra to wear with my work uniform and other tops which might require something a bit smoother. For the time being, I’m keeping it, for tbe reasons listed, but it might be listed sooner rather than later. I haven’t decided; especially as I need to give it a fair trial. For a bra that was supposed to be helpful to answering questions about the fit for future orders, I am still left with a bunch of questions. Lol.

Update October 2020: I have added new pictures of how the bra fits me currently. It is a lot better in the cups. The band is still snug but is easing up some with wear. It’s still not my favourite Comexim but I’m more comfortable with the fit than before. Still toying with getting the cups and gore reduced by a cm each on next Comexim plunge I order.

    • I think it looks great on you! It really is a lovely bra and one of my most comfortable ones. I just adore the matching panties you got. Hopefully you get the answers to all your questions from them soon. :)

    • I think this looks great on you too. Sorry it's not your favourite...especially after waiting 3 months! The bottoms are cute, and I find Comexim bottoms really comfy (though I haven't tried their boy/cheeky cut). When I fit a bit larger cut, I tried the poison Ivy 65HH and it fit tall on me too. I can see how a reduced cup might work for you. Do you think you'd need the extra depth though? Is this one too shallow at the bottom?

    • I think this looks so good on you! Gorgeous set!

    • 2

Happy2BraShop yours was one of the ones I looked at when deciding to get it. I think if I had fuller and/or firmer upper fullness it would be better. I adore the bottoms. I kinda wish some aspect of them was up top, somehow. The lace maybe? I hope I hear back soon but I’m suspecting I won’t. I think I was too wordy and might have to email them again with less questions and get fit advise based off of the existing bras, not necessarily the answers to the questions I asked them about the alterations and how they change the fit.

Wilderness1 Thanks. I think it’s maybe growing more on me but I like my others better right now. I don’t *think* that it is too shallow, but I wonder if adding the depth contributes to a more rounded look. I feel like my HC looks rounder, but it might be from wearing it and not the depth. I definitely think I would like this particular one more if it was lower cut, so less black overall. I just think it’s a lot of black, though I don’t think it would be a problem if it was completely black, if that makes sense. Also, I feel like it is lower on the model on the site. This cut of bottoms is the best of the three pair I have so far (excluding the Belen which I do like, but happens to be too small).

Sonya I’m hoping that with wear, it will soften up and ease up a bit. I feel like I might attempt a reorder at some point once I settle on what I need to make it better for me. It’s definitely not a bad bra or fit, but I will say that I am more partial to my Hot Chocolate and Ingrid right now.

I do want to try another plunge. I’m seriously thinking about that new one with the bras on it (Adele iirc). I’m wondering if I can do a 1:1:1 alteration (1cm straps, cup height, gore) or maybe a 1:1:1:1 alteration (same as above with 1cm added depth to the wire). But I’m also not sure if I need the cup height reduced if I reduce the gore and keep the straps moved in. Thoughts? This is kinda why I’m wondering if I simply sized down a cup to 70G, but added 2-3cm of depth, would I accomplish the same end results with less actual alterations. So much to think about!

It’s definitely lower cut on her. I bet a different size and/or alterations would make it look better on me.

    • Calluna That would have been a lovely touch had some of the lace been incorporated into the bra. Even just a little bit. I was thinking about how you describe the cups as being higher up on you. The original owner I got mine from had breasts about the same measurement size. Even on her it looked like the cups are more full coverage, where as on me they look less coverage. This might be due to height? I don’t consider myself tall at 5’5”, but I have a long torso, so I think my boobs just sit lower than someone of comparable height with a shorter body. Maybe a reduced cup? A long while back I did try one that was a cup size up from what I wear now and it had reduced cups with straps moved in. I definitely noticed them being lower with the cups just feeling a little wider due to the larger cup. I’d say if the cups you have now are a good wire width, maybe ask for reduced cup? Maybe even a lowered gore? I just checked and see even though yours is a 65HH, your gore is .5 inches taller than mine.

    • Happy2BraShop I’m 5’1, somewhat higher set, but I have a shorter torso and ribs that seem to protrude a bit. You have more upper fullness than I do, otherwise we’re pretty close in size, so I think that’s why it looks a little bit less coverage on you than me. I’m a little softer and deflated, despite having tallish roots. Calculators sometimes overestimate my cup size because of my leaning measurement. They don’t take into consideration that they are like torpedos or bullets when hanging down. I have 2-3” difference in standing vs leaning, but not the overall fullness that the calculators think I have (but don’t). Sometimes I do wish I was just slightly augmented to have a bit more even fullness all over.

    • 1

I'm not sure which alterations are best at this point (even for myself)! I would go for straps moved in 2 cm as opposed to 1cm based on where they sit in the photo. They still look a bit widely set. And I'm torn about the cup height/gore and extra depth. To make it more confusing, I don't think they always do all the alterations we request. I don't think my Yellow Bird actually has reduced cups.

    • Sonya yeah, there is the theory that I could do something in between this and the Hot Chocolate to further figure it out. Straps 2cm, gore 1cm (so same as HC minus the added depth). That would seem like the next logical progression. From there I can see if I still need less height and/or more depth.

    • Comparison:

Anna Pardal Lady Grey 32FF (70H) sophisticate balconette (2cm straps, cups, and gore)

Hot Chocolate 70H (straps 2cm, gore 1cm, depth at wire 2cm)

Queen of Hearts 70H (straps 2cm, narrow gore, no other cup alterations)

It’s kind of hard to add in the Lady Grey because even though it is made by Comexim, it is possibly still maybe not a set of alterations to go with/use as a reference.

      https://imgur.com/a/9puGY6c

    • Calluna is this gore sitting on breast tissue? Reducing the gore would help that if it is, but just don't go too low, as some of your centre tissue might bulge. I could see doing straps moved in 2cm, lowered gore 1cm, and lowered cups 2 cm.

    • Wilderness1 i don’t think it sits on tissue, no. I’ll have to check again later though. The Lady Grey is 2cm cups and 2cm gore and is a little bit small on my big side, so that’s why I am thinking maybe 1cm lower cups. Although it is AP, it’s a 32FF as you remember, which is a 70H. But I’m not sure if I should just try the lower gore first, or maybe if cups are lower, the gore kind of is automatically reduced a little bit? If the cups are reduced and not the gore, does the shape become a bit more horizontal than plunge? I feel like you have to lower gore if you lower the cups for it to look right, but not necessarily the other way. Lower gore and regular cups is still plungey. I could be wrong though.

    • Do you think they actually did all the alterations you asked for? Maybe your instinct to go down a size and just ask for one alteration might result in a fit you’re happier with?

I agree with you that the fit looks totally different then the model they have! Looks a lot lower cut in the cups, could be a shape issue, but I can see how you would expect/want a fit more like the picture if you ordered based on that.

    • 1

braluv since my alterations are minimal, yes, I think they did. I’m sure about the 2x4 hooks because it has that. The straps feel like the others so I can assume that was done. I can’t remember if I asked for a narrower gore or overlapping gore, but it seems to be pretty narrow. I’ll have to check the gore again though. I didn’t ask for any cup alterations as I was trying to identify how much moving the straps affected the cups alone.

    • Moving the straps in sorta closes the cup a bit right? But more so at the top I would think? Do you think it also reduces the overall depth a bit or no?

Does it bother you when it’s a little bit “gappy” on the top of the cup? Maybe reducing the cup height 1cm might be all you need? Because if you also reduce the gore, it might change the fit too much and create some spillage possibly?

    • 1

Tighter straps helps with the gap on the smaller side. The straps moved in 2cm is definitely a help with the cups. I feel like I have to reduce the gore if I reduce the height in order to maintain the shape overall. My Lady Grey is a 2cm reduction everywhere and it is a bit small on my big side. Assuming that this is how a true Comexim with the same alterations would fit, I feel like I would be ok with 1cm cups and gore. But I do worry that combination might be a bit small still. It’s hard.

    • Calluna I have some of those alterations with my 3HC cups. You may be able to guestimate what your alterations would do to a cup based on these:
-Honey cookie: lowered cup height (I asked for them to be lowered "a little", no specific amount), overlapping gore, straps moved in 1cm,65J - Comexim » Honey Cookie 3hc
-Natalia: lower gore 1-1.5cm, overlapping gore, straps moved in 1 cm, pockets. 65J - Comexim » Natalie Half Cup (491)
-Gemma: straps moved in 1cm, overlapping gore, 3HC 65HH - Comexim » Gemma Half Cup (hopefully I linked the right 65HH as I had this bra made twice with different alterations. The newest one is the one I'm referring to).

    • Thanks Wilderness1. They definitely help me with the 3HC once I decide to order another one, but I’m still pretty uncertain about the plunge. Having tried your honey cookie, and some of the others, that was a huge help though.

About 6 years ago, I began my journey to find a bra that fits. It has taken me through hundreds of bras across dozens of brands. By now I have a small - but mighty - collection of bras that are a great fit, bras that are very comfortable, and bras that are very beautiful. The rest of the pieces in my stash are either no longer my size and/or just too cute to part with. Normally I preface even my most positive reviews here with caveats about something that wasn't quite right. It gapes here, it wrinkles there, it cuts in, it won't stay put, the band ... tension is uneven, etc. Losing weight along the way has made it even more tricky to nail down my size and a great fit that I could replicate. When I first ventured into Polish bras and Comexim in particular, I struggled at first to find the right alterations and it seemed hopeless as bra after bra *kinda* fit, but something was off. When I did get a plunge style that fit, I ordered 4 more and none of them fit like the first one.

Over the years I've found some decent fits across a few brands and some very pretty stuff (RIP Fauve) but that special a-ha "perfect fit" moment I saw others experience had eluded me. Until now! This set is everything I dreamed of: uniquely beautiful, supremely comfortable, and a fun pattern with custom alterations to the bra and the briefs. My review is coming in a bit late, but I'm glad I managed to snag Aida before she disappeared. The set was literally made for me (thank you, Comexim, I don't know where I'd be without you) and it fits more perfectly than any other bra I've tried. I finally found my best alteration combination: 3HC with overlapping gore, straps moved in, and - the wildcard that paid off - added depth at the wire. In my current size (60HH) I don't need narrower wires or reduced cups or a taller or shorter gore or anything else I had been messing with to no avail. Now I'm desperate to try this cut it in an unlined style and see if it works with that, too. Full review on the blog!

Have you had your a-ha moment yet? Please share!

    • Thanks for a great blog review. The bottoms are quite unique! I wish I could pull off high waisted panties, but they just (unfortunately) look weird on me. I got the Diana in a 3HC (same bra as the Aida 3HC but has no strappy parts) with 2 pairs of thongs. I love my set too, and the adjustable straps on the bottoms are quite unique.I adore Comexim bras in general actually, and I've had quite a few excellent fitting bras from them over the last few years. My current fav is 60J - Comexim » Scottie 3hc.

    • I love those panties! One thing I like about this model is that it is not the usual black strap detail. The colors are quite lovely.

    • 1

Wilderness1 Thank you! Yes, Joanna outdid herself with the bottoms. I basically said that I still wanted the strap detail but I prefer high waist to low-rise, and it just show up like magic. I thought it might feel bulky on because the straps are kind of standard size and not really narrow like I thought they might be. But even with all the adjusters etc, I don't feel anything and it fits like a glove. I didn't have to tinker with the adjusters either. Straight out of the box fit. I really struggle to find bottoms that fit, almost as much as bras, so I own few matching sets. I really prize this one. The fabric itself is so soft, too.

@AllyBra I agree - the colors are really nice. They remind me of autumn. I'm not the biggest fan of black, but I really enjoy navy and warm reds and deep greens. This is the first time I saw paisley in a bra and I just had to try it. Honestly it's much prettier in person than on the website. But I often say that about Comexim!

  5. Charme Plunge Bra (415)

My shape is low set, soft, short and narrow rooted.

This bra is classically beautiful. It almost reminds me of something old fashioned, but the style is still quite modern. The top of the plunge cup has a lace overlay on top of beige, and then along the edge, it has gathered satin. Unfortunately the satin sticks out a bit and is visible under clothes. Luckily I don't wear tight clothes though, so it should be fine.

I am amazed that this fit, since the only other plunge I tried was a 65HH Poison Ivy that was too tall in the cups. I was worried this bra would also be ... too tall, but this is a size down from the one I tried. I'm pleased to say there's no gaping at all, and the cup height is great. It's my first try with a 60 band too, and it feels nice and supportive. I'm so glad I finally made the leap to size down my band (especially since losing weight), because my 30" were feeling loose. This bra makes me feel better about my recent black friday purchases to get a couple Comexim 60J 3HCs/Half cups.

The shape is actually quite rounded for a plunge. I usually look a bit pointier in plunges, so I'm quite happy with this look. I'm not sure if it's more rounded because the bra is used, or because the cup itself isn't stiff like EMs are. Either way, I'm happy with the profile. It's nice and uplifting and centering.

The straps are fully adjustable, and they still have lots of adjusting room on my tall, low set frame. The bra is wonderfully comfortable.

Yay! I'm so glad it fits! It looks gorgeous on you!

    • Thanks for passing it along Sonya ! I'm sure I'll wear it till it's dead!

I'd been hanging onto it for a while in hopes of losing 10 or so pounds but decided that probably wasn't gonna happen. I'm happy it's gone to a good home. It looks like it was made for you. :)

    • That is a gorgeous bra! I'm no fit expert but I wish I had something that looked as good on me as those pics look and felt good to! I'd be wanting to show everyone my bra lol

    • confused thank you! I'm blushing! Very nice of you to say.
It took a lot of trial and error to get to a point where I could make an educated guess on what would fit my body. I have tried lots of Comexims, so I know how they fit me. The reason I thought this one would fit is that I normally wear 65HH, which the sister size down is 60J, but Comexim's plunges are tall and they fit me bigger, so I sized down 1 size to 60HH. I bought this used so I didn't spend a ton of money on it if it didn't fit.

    Hasn't set fit

I've already had this bra for a bit now, but hadn't gotten around to reviewing and measuring it. The short summary is - usual Comexim fit, but really scratchy material..
The fabric on the inside and the band are the usual Comexim quality. What for me feels just not soft enough is the embroidery. It's uncomfortable for me both at the bottom of the cup and the upper corner, where the bra meets the arm. If you don't have particularly sensitive skin this might be okay for you, otherwise just pass on this one. Also, the fact of having the materials be unpleasant is not something that's happened ... to me before with other Comexim bras, including those that have embroidery or other decorations. It might be caused by the sparkly thread on this embroidery.
The bra is unpadded despite the fact that on the website it somehow looked to me like it'll be padded. The cup is made from two layers of fabric - stretchy on the inside..scratchy on the outside https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" />) The outer fabric is a non stretch mesh, and there's a thin elastic closing off the cup.
From the point of view of design, it looks really pretty, especially with the decorations on the strap. The colour combination is also very nice in real life, and it creates a nice contrast with the grey and teal/yellow decorations. I also like that instead of a bow there's a little flower on the gore and no bows on the straps.
Otherwise, everything else about this bra is consistent Comexim fit and quality. The band and cups run true to size, and the cups are the usual fit for a 3-part half-cup. Also, at least in my experience, in the last 1-2 years I've found that Comexim bras have become much more consistent in sizing and fit. I also haven't had any issues with customizations not being done or being done incorrectly. I always write them in English in the comments box when ordering.

  7. Rose Plunge Bra

So, just about two weeks ago, I spent a couple days in Toronto. And y'all know what that means (for me, anyway)... bra shopping! I hit up my favourite store first, Broad Lingerie. They don't carry much in my size in stock, but this was truly a find (and deal!) of the century.

First of all, I never thought I would be a fan of the print until I saw it in person. The cups have a mostly pink, red, and green rose print, with slightly shiny black pinstripes running vertically. The cups also have a stretchy black elastic attached along the top edge, with very thin elastic ... fibers attaching it to the edge of the cup. From afar, it looks like the elastic is floating above the cup edge, creating a neat negative-space effect. It also helps the cups lie flat against my breasts, and not cut in. Other than the cups, the rest of the bra is black.

As for fit, it is pretty much perfect. The band is snug enough and stays in place on the loosest hook, the wires are a good width, the straps are spaced well for me, and the cups are basically the perfect volume. The only minor fit issue I get is that the gore doesn't quite tack on me, but I don't feel any less secure in this bra. In fact, I feel quite secure, well supported, and nicely shaped as well despite the bra being so light on my body. The only other qualms I have with this bra are 1. that there were a few loose threads when I bought it, but that's no big deal, and 2. the sides of the hook tape (ie. the top and bottom when worn; the sides perpendicular to the edge with the hooks poking out) seem to be sealed through some heat-treated method, basically melting the edges together instead of sewing those edges shut, which starts to get a little pokey after wearing it for several hours. I may try to either file these edges to smooth them a bit, or I may trim off those edges and sew them shut instead. That being said, I can absolutely live with these issues.

This bra gives me the same great shape that my other Comexims do, which is upfront, pulled in from the sides, and rounded with a light peak. Perfection for me.
The best part? It was on clearance for $20 CAD.

Wow! It looks great! I was a fool to pass up the 30G on Breakout Bras. One of my close friends got it as I was helping her with her size and new bras and she loved it. Just as I was about to get it, so we could twin, AGBras got it. And it looks great on her. My loss for waiting so long indecisively.

What a great find! Looks amazing on you.

Wow, great deal. It looks really good on you.

You certainly followed a lucky star to that shop! It's a really lovely optic and hugs you at best ! Love the wings, cup details, wide straps. Nice !

    • 1

What a great deal! It looks lovely on you. I file those edges regularly- makes a huge difference.

    • Thank you all! Sonya I'm glad to hear that filing the edges works for you! I will definitely give it a try then.

    • 1

What a bargain!!! It looks great on you. I agree the website's product photos didn't make it look wonderful. The pattern is actually more appealing in your photo. Maybe it's the lighting?

Anyway, congratulations on a beautiful, supportive, well-fitting deal!

I agree that this bra is best appreciated in person. I was able to snag my size from Breakout Bras and it’s comfortable, surprisingly pretty, and makes a ,overly shape. The fit looks perfect for you, by the way!

    Didn't fit

Andromeda is a Breakout Bras exclusive padded plunge bra. The name indicates a galaxy print, but in all reality it is a marble print in bluish grey, with pink, white, black, and grey veins running through it. The straps, trim, and hook-sets are a darker bluish grey with pink bows and accents. It is quite beautiful.

The fabric on the cups was not sewn with the proper tension, so the liner is tighter than the outer fabric. This isn’t noticeable through T-shirts or sweatshirts, but I am sure would be noticeable under a thinner or fitted tank top. From experience with this looser fabric in the past (also with ... Comexim) I can say that if you get a lot of shirt friction against this fabric, it will make it even looser, but if your breasts tend to stretch out the lining, it will get it closer to the same tension over time.

The cups are short for a standard 28KK at only 8.75”, as is the gore at 3.5” making me think this one would be more of the extra low plunge than a standard Comexim plunge. This makes it difficult to keep my nips in the cups, but would be a positive thing for those who need a shorter cup.

    As for fit,
The cups are too small and definitely not deep enough at the wire, but I wasn’t going for a great fit, I was going for comfort of the strap area which has been extremely sensitive for me lately. The gore is 3 fingers off my sternum, I have some quadding, and I can’t force my boobs into the bottom of the cups but the straps aren’t rubbing my armpit, so I am considering this one a good fit as silly as that may sound. The band is snug but is comfortable on the loosest hook set.

    And for the technical aspects:
All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.

The band measures 20” and stretches to a max of 26.5” and that was really forcing it. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops. This is far from a true 28 band, but more in line with what a true 60 band should be.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 12.5”
2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 14.5”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

That's really pretty. Reminds me of how Pearl Mint Flower with how shallow on bottom it is.

    • 1

What's funny is I didn't notice the shallowness until I cropped the photos. It doesn't feel constricting or anything (at least in the short test run) so it doesn't bother me. We'll see if it is comfy all day once I wear it for a day. 😄

    • 1

I guess this on is breaking the breakout bras norm of looser bands, just to keep us all guessing... It is a cool marble look for sure. I am glad it is comfortable where is counts right now!

    • That is Comexim for us, right? Throwing those curve balls with band sizes. The Magic I got was 29". The Queen of Hearts 30KK was 34" which is insane! Why can't we get some consistency? !

And thank you. 💕 Comfort is the priority at the moment.

    Fits

Safiya is an absolutely gorgeous unpadded half cup (2HC) bra. Seriously, this bra has to be the prettiest bra I have seen, it is that gorgeous. It is sheer purple-blue periwinkle color with embroidery on the cups. Seriously a stunning bra!

    For the measurements:

All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.

The band measures 22.5” and stretches to a max of 28.5”. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the ... knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 13.25”
2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 16.25”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

The other measurements are: 6” cup width, 8.5” height, with a 5” wing and 4.25” gore.

    As for fit,
It is about as perfect as I could expect to get, so I am super pleased! The band is comfortable on the tightest hook-set (which is my normal) and the gore sits 1.5 fingers off my sternum (again, about normal for me) and the cups fit practically perfect in my opinion. The only fit issue (which is not an issue for me) is that the wires do not follow the outside of my breasts. The wires do follow the center of my breasts beautifully from gore to IMF, and around the IMF nicely, as well as meeting my root at the top under the underarm, it’s just the curve between my IMF and top of the root that is different, but at least it is in a good way, curving further out instead of sitting on the breast tissue, so I really am happy with it. Seriously happy with it. It’s beautiful and it fits!! Yay!!

Also, the only alteration that was requested for this one was moving the straps in, which I do feel was done.

I don't see any wrinkling at the wire. I am impressed, I thought the 2HC were supposed to be shallow. This doesn't look like it!

    • 2

This is such a gorgeous bra and I'm so glad it fits you ☺️

    • 1

@Sovavosi There is no wire wrinkling! I swear Comexim is my new breast friend 😍 and this one is as perfect as I could hope for.

This bra is gorgeous and looks gorgeous on you.
That colour rocks my socks and if it had matching straps and band I'd be on that thing like white on rice. Maybe I should just get over it...I want a violet bra so badly and noone is showing them this spring except Krisline Fortuna :/

    • 1

Oh man, I've been lusting after this bra since it came out. I should just go ahead and order it. Do you think a 2HC is sufficient in this bra, or would you suggest seeing if they'll make it as a 3HC? (The only other alterations I get these days is overlapping gore and straps moved in slightly).
      It looks gorgeous on you!

    • 1

Looks absolutely stunning on you. I wonder if you had a pair of wires that do follow your roots perfectly and replaced these with them if you'd maybe get a gore tack and the perfect wire width? Would that essentially make the cups deeper though? I wonder...

    • 1

That is fabulous! Yay for a beautiful, fitting bra! Im happy you have been having good comexim luck.

    • 1

Wilderness1 This is the first half cup I have tried by Comexim, so I cannot say how it compares. Sorry :-(

I can say it is gorgeous though!! I am considering ordering it again as a 3HC to compare, since it is so beautiful.

@brasaremean I am used to the no tack, since it is rare that I get a tack so I am not worried. As long as it's comfortable and doesn't look hideous then I'm happy! :-)

      @VeggieChic Thank you! :-)

    • I really love the look of this bra, it looks wonderful on you. Thanks for showing the pictures.
Unfortunately I doubt that Comexims unpadded models are an option for me as they are are rather minimizing and I am on the smaller side. Given by the little information around my size I would expect something like a "no boob" effect 😧

    • 1

      Sorry Leilani :-(

    • 1

So glad that it fits you! Soo gorgeous! <3

    • Thank you JulieCS :-)

    • 1

      Don't feel bad, MamaPagan
We both are small band-ladies but on very different ends of the cup size range. So weare both screaming (you for having any options atall, I for not falling out of the sizes, because there is no "need") and having not the full range of options. Anyhow, I think I still have it a little bit easier, because I could wear some more bras. I also could try this one and I guess it would fit with rather high probability if I ignore my optical preferences. I simply like it if some breast shape is visible as German Matrix sizes gave me the "no boob" look for many many years. I am way not ready to go back to this just because the bra is sooo pretty.
So at least I can see pictures. Also, the lace pattern looks better on lager areas I think 😉

    • Understandable. We can't have them all, right? :-/

    Amore Mio

This is my second attempt at Amore Mio, as I had it prior in a 60P, which at the time of purchase fit perfectly. Since my breasts have grown, I opted to try it again during the Comexim Black Friday sale. This bra is an unpadded black lacy wired bralette. It is both sexy and girly. The lace has a two way stretch sideways, but not a four way stretch up and down. The outer section of the cup is lined with an opaque black for extra support.

    For the measurements:
All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the ... body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.

The band measures 20” and stretches to a max of 26.25”. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 12.75”
2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 16.5”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

    As for fit,
My husband laughed and called me small boobies while taking photos of this one, since it does make my breasts look really small (in comparison to how they normally look.) Yes, he can be a jerk sometimes, but he keeps me well stocked in bras and I love him.

Aside from his opinion, I do love this bra, and feel it is a very nice fit. The band is perfect at 26.25” and I can actually wear it on the loosest hook-set! That is something I don’t experience ever, so it is a super nice feature.

The cups fit great, with the gore sitting 1.5 fingers off my sternum (common for me) and it is very comfortable.

The only fit issue in my opinion is that the straps do not adjust short enough for me, but I can easily shorten them so this is not a problem in my opinion. Just like with Safiya (and all Comexim bras) the wires don’t follow the curve of my breast on the outer part of the cup, but I don’t mind since it isn’t causing any pains within this bra. It’s not on my breast tissue so I am fine with it.

The only alteration requested for this bra was moving the straps inward, which I do feel was done.

This perhaps the prettiest bra I have ever owned. It the lace is so gorgeous and a lovely pale cream. I feel like snow white wearing it.

The materials on the bra are top quality. The band is made from very soft, silky powermesh and has a very smoothing effect. It is a firm 28 band - my favourite. The straps are wide and really comfortable. The gore is low and narrow. The wires are narrow and not too firm, and the cups have good immediate projection. The bra has all the ingredients of a perfect bra.

This bra is really comfortable - it is almost unnoticeable. ... I do have some quadding in the bra, so it is technically too small, but it feels comfortable enough to continue to wear. This bra is so pretty that I am debating ordering it in a 60L with a reduced cup height. This bra came to me from Sonya who found it to be too small. She has since had some luck with 60Ls - so I am very tempted!

    • It is gorgeous and looks lovely on you!

    • Beautiful on you. You do look like snow white! It doesn't look small in the pictures, but I'm sure you probably notice it in person. I LOVE how comfortable Comexim bras are. The most comfortable bras I've ever tried.

    • So so pretty! Looks great on you. I dont see quadding but I know photos are deceiving

    • That looks so pretty on you!

    • This is one that I really want. Like really really. :) Now it’s a matter of size.

    • Wow! This one looks gorgeous on you too. And looks like it might work as a nude?

    • rachaell- Anya has more 60L hatlfcups if you want to try a size up. I will probably get more from her. I just need to sell a couple of mine first.

    • Sonya how do you find the height of the 60Ls? I like the height of the reduced 60Ks, I worry that a 60L will be too tall.

    • Sonya Its works great as a nude. One (the only) perk of being pale

    • Calluna It is so so gorgeous. I wish I could get it in just half a cup bigger. I still have not mastered Comexim sizing

    • AprilGoulding thanks! The quadding is admittedly pretty minor. A tiny bit more depth would made it a perfect fit.

    • 1

Wilderness1 thank you! Comexim is exceedingly comfortable - and their shipping to CAD is so reasonable. This is a very dangerous combo

    • 1

      Thanks MamaPagan !!

    • rachaelll- I will measure my new Gilda now (regular cup height) and post it.

    • Sonya thanks! I am really curious about how it fits. Also, the Gilda is ridiculously gorgeous - that hot pink is amazing.

    • Gilda's cup height is 6.8" whereas my Hot Chocolate is 6.2". Gilda is a cup size larger, though, so not a huge difference. And yes, she's a beauty!

    • The cups are pretty wide, though (5.8").

    • Sonya eek! that is wide. How is the fit? Is it comfortable despite the width?

    • I only quickly tried it on. I just measured Belle de Nuit and it's 5.9" wide. I will wear Gilda tomorrow and assess it for comfort. The Rose plunge I bought from Anya is only 5" wide, which should be about perfect, but the cups are nearly 8" tall!

    • Just curious, but is the the same as the honey cookie half cup that’s already got information on it here or is that one different than this, aside from the alterations? I see it says made into a 3hc...does that mean that the regular honey cookie half cup isn’t a 3hc?

    • 1

When I ordered it, it was a plunge and I asked for it to be made into a 3HC. I just checked the website now, and you can order it as a 3HC or plunge. I'm not sure if I missed the 3HC listing before or if it is new.

    • Calluna Comexim has two half cup styles:
2HC which has one vertical seam (like Safiya) and the 3HC that has 2 vertical seams like this one.

    • rachaelll- I've been wearing Gilda for a few hours and it's overall pretty comfy. It sits well below my IMF, though, but most bras do. The wideness of the cups/wires is not feeling uncomfortable, but I prefer the look I get from narrow cups. My breasts looks wider and taller and less projected with these halfcups. I think my next Comexim venture will be trying plunges with reduced cup height (as well as straps moved in and cookie pockets added).

    • MamaPagan But the existing file for the half cup is for a 3 part cup. The honey cookie on the site is a 3HC. There’s plunge too.

      https://www.comexim.pl/en/half-cup/571-honey-cookie-3hc-biustonosz.html

      https://www.comexim.pl/en/plunge/459-honey-cake.html

The existing file for the honey cookie half cup which is already a 3HC that I was asking about. I was trying to figure out how it was different than this one.

      https://www.bratabase.com/browse/comexim/honey-cookie-half-cup/

    • If I recall correctly (which is questionable) Comexim switched the lace used on the Honey Cookie Half Cup, and maybe that is why? We can always ask Jj to link or merge them if the lace is the same.

The plunge is a different style (obviously) amd should be separate.

    • 1

Yes they did switch the lace. Maybe that’s what is different. Though it’s hard to tell with the existing pics of which lace is being used. I’m wondering if I should get a 30G or 30GG if I order from Breakout Bras since it’s on sale plus the 15% plus free shipping to US (as I’m in LA in a month). I think that it’s partly going to depend on which lace they are.

    • It would be nice to know if anything else changed with the lace...... It would be easier for you to decide.

    • I just spent time with them (BB) on lace and size and they suggested initially that I should try 30GG based off of the fit of the 30G Jade but then they changed their mind and said 30G. Both 30G and 30GG have the new lace. It’s really tempting. I’m off to try to find an extender for the Jade and test it.

    Didn't fit

This was another one of the highly customized Comexim bras I ordered during the Halloween sale. (Yes, they literally took 8 weeks to arrive - yay Canada). Rosette is listed on the Comexim side as a 2HC, but I wanted it desperately it in a plunge. (I am a little nervous about ordering a Comexim half cup as I am not sure about the size I would need or how it compares to my beloved plunges.) Ordering Rosettes in a plunge style was a breeze. I requested to have the straps moved in by 2cms and the gore narrowed. From what I can tell, the gore ... is lowered but not narrowed and the straps are in their original position. These customizations were requested for comfort and don't seem to be a dealbreaker on the fit for me. However, this is good evidence of the bratabase hypothesis that the more customizations you request the less likely they are all to be completed. Thankfully it was made as a plunge - the request I cared most about.

I ordered this bra in 60HH and the matching panty in size small. The set is stunning - the green and gold are so vibrant in person - and the embroidery is really intricate. The strap detailing on this bra really adds to its charm. My husband is a big fan of this set. Based on looks alone, this set is hands-down the prettiest I've ever owned. The fit is pretty great too. The cups are narrow and perfectly projected. But they do seem to be a little shorter than other 60HHs. This doesn't compromise the fit too much but does allow for more cleavage than I usually like. There is not much wiggle room for growth, so I am hoping it will continue to fit. The band is supremely comfortable and true to size. Overall, Rosettes is a winner and I am delighted.

      Wilderness1 thanks :)

    • How nice! I like the strap connection. So unique! :-)

    • 1

That's so cute! I came to comment about the strap connection as well, I've never seen one like that before and I think it matches this bra really well and it really feeds into the art noveau-ish vibe it has going on.

    • This is stunning, and I really like the strap detail too.

    • 1

veggiechic Tressym MamaPagan The strap connector is really the winning feature here. It makes up for the less than perfect fit.

    • Gorgeous. Just gorgeous. I love it!!!

Beautiful! I wanted this one done as a plunge, it's great to see how they did it.

I think this is my new favourite bra!

I love the look of it with the charcoal and lace overlay. It gives me flash backs to one of the first properly-fitted bras I ever tried - the Curvy Kate Tempt Me - which was just never going to work fit-wise.

The top of the cups stop a couple of centimetres below my arm pits, which is fantastic as I often have them poking me in plunge styles. Gore is low but not falling-out low, perfect for showing a bit of cleavage without a wardrobe malfunction for my centre-full boobs.
There is a bit of quad on my right ... side, but since my breasts are quite uneven in size and it's impossible to get a bra they're both happy with, a touch of quadding is something I don't mind.

The wire on the left was a bit stabby, but nothing a bit of bending won't fix. The band is absolutely perfect for my too. It fits comfortably on the middle hook, which gives a nice bit of wriggle room for stretching out and/or bloated days.

    60Q

    Didn't fit

    Beatrice #577 in both 28KK (60P) and 28L (60Q)
This particular bra is classified as a mini long line, in an Orange color and plunge style. In person, the orange is far more “peachy” in color than the pumpkin orange I was hoping for, but still a nice looking bra. It is in the standard 2 lower vertical sections and one upper horizontal section, lightly foam lined.

I ordered it in both 60P (deeper at the wire) and 60Q, but requested to have labels on the bra as I’ve received them in the past without them, so Anna went with the UK labels due to no EU labels in ... these sizes being currently available. For the sake of simplicity and more information in one place, I am reviewing both bras together.

As many of you already know, after my last Comexim order from January of this year and stopped buying from them in my own personal Comexim boycott. When they released this Orange bra, I just couldn’t resist, so I opted to try again, submitting my order and requesting they contact me if any of the customizations couldn’t be done as requested. Anna confirmed all could indeed be done as requested.

I’ll first review the customizations, measurements then fit and overall assessment. It will be long, sorry!

All measurements are taken straight out of the box and prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is distorted by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.

    Customizations requested: 28KK (60P)
Deeper at the wire (possibly done), wires from 60O (possibly done), wires overlapped at gore (really standard at this size), straps moved in 2cm (not done), reduced cup height if possible (done)

    Customizations requested: 28L (60Q)
Wires from 60O (not done), wires overlapped at gore (standard in this size), straps moved in 2cm (not done), reduced cup height if possible (done)

    On to the details!

The bands both came with 5 rows of hooks and 4 sets of eye loops. 60P measured 23.5” and stretched to 29”, while 60Q measured 23” and stretched to 28.5”. These are longer than expected since Anna sent me an email just before completion to ask specifically how long I needed them, but this is still better than the current trend for the 60 bands so I do feel she shortened them, just was conservative with it.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 13.38” (60P) and 13.5” (60Q)

2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 15.5” (60P) and 16” (60Q)

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

The wire width was 6” on the 60P and 6.25” on the 60Q which was a bit disappointing as I requested them both to be the 60O 6” wires and Anna said that wasn’t a problem. The 60P in the past has been very inconsistent with the wires, sometimes being 6” and others 6.25” and the 60Q were 6.25” on my last order, which is just too wide for me in the Comexim shape and cut.

While it is recommended to lower the gore in this band/cup combo, I chose to not lower the gore with these bras, as I feel doing so increased the quadding. The gore height measures the same for both, 4.38”. I did request the cup height to be lowered if possible to eliminate the standard issue of extra space at the strap, and at 8.75” for 60P and 9” for 60Q, I think they were lowered a bit. The height in my standard 60P Comexim plunge bras is 9”. Normally this is perfect for me, allowing for coverage of my nipples while still providing so skin to show for more appeal.

The gore widths were ½” for 60P and .63” for 60Q. These figures are not bad, but not as overlapped as I’ve received in the past from Comexim. Anna did email stating they couldn’t overlapped them completely due to the wires being in the way, which I think was a miscommunication so I am not surprised that this was not done as requested.

For additional measurements, the vertical seam on the cup from the wire to the horizontal seam is 6.3” on the 60P, and 6.38” on the 60Q. The horizontal seam from the gore to the vertical is 6.75” on both, and from the vertical to the wing side of the cup it measures 5.25” on the 60P and 4.75” on the 60Q. The height of the cup from the horizontal seam to the top of the cup at the gore is 1.75” and 2” while at the wing it is 2.38” and 2.5” respectively. Since the horizontal seam ends in the wing area above the wire, the total measurement of this seam is much less than the actual cup depth, at 12” (60P) and 11.5” (60Q) but if you look at the projection photos, you can also see that the seam sits above the apex of the bra as well.

Now for fit! I am nearing low tide so how these fit in two weeks will be quite different. I will try to remember to update photos at that time.

Both bras are unfortunately a fail. The wires are much shorter than the wire channels, ¾” shorter on the 60P and a full 1” shorter on the 60Q. If I slide the wires all the way into the gore, the wires poke painfully under the arm, but if I slide them all the way into the wing, the gore goes from being 2 fingers off the sternum to a well over 3 finger full float. Neither is supportive or secure feeling.

The cup can’t sit in my IMF due to the strap placement & wing height/cup curve, and maybe that there just isn’t as much immediate depth as I need. While this doesn’t make this a fail by itself, it does insure the gore is sitting much lower than it should be, which compiles the other fit issues.

With this lower sitting cup, the height of the cup becomes an issue and my nipples have to be tucked back in after a swoop n scoop as they otherwise are completely outside of the cup. When I lean forward, my nipples do pop out. Since the cup height is perfect based on my other bras, I feel it is only a problem due to this strap/wing domino effect. The IMF issue is more an issue in the 60P, as the photos of the 60Q the bra looks like it’s almost in my IMF, but the side of the cup is still an issue and too wide.

While typically a 6” wire would be fine, Comexim wires are softer and since it doesn’t fill the channel, I think it distorts it more, so both bras end up being too wide as a result. It’s not terrible in the 60P, but is noticeable on my right profile photos for sure. The 6.25” wires of the 60Q are all around just too wide. This is clearly visible in the photos.

To compile the end result of the cup fit, I get a lot of center spillage and quadding in both sizes. Many of the photos hide this well especially front view, but it is very clear in some of the photos and painfully clear from my view, haha.

The bands still require the tightest hook setting but were comfortable. If the cups actually fit, the band would be great. I don’t like the look of the band from the back on the tightest hook settting though, as it looks like I have a big Y in the center of my back and it just looks off. Since I wouldn’t normally see this, haha, it really doesn’t matter, I know.

So there we have it, empty space on the sides, cup collapse on the bottom, center spillage and quadding in the top and center. Major East-West look which is not appealing on my frame. I do know some of you are thinking, “Why doesn’t she just do a reverse Swoop n Scoop?” Well, simply it doesn’t work. My breasts are closer set than these cups allow, so in turn, it would give even more of an E-W look and as soon as I moved my arms, my boobs would be in the way and pop out the front of the bra again. :/ Another issue, I would prefer to loosen the straps on this one as well, but again, I experience pop out when I do.

In regards to quality, as can be seen in the photos, this is another Comexim bra that has the outer material looser than the lining, creating a wrinkling on the material even though the cups are filled. I have not washed the bras so there is no possibility of unequal shrinkage or anything; these are straight out of the box. You can also see a nice crease in the foam liner on some of the photos thanks to traveling 2.5 weeks in the mail in a bend/collapsed position…This crease may go away once the bra sits flat and is washed, but I cannot say for sure. Aside for these two complaints, I don’t see any quality issues.

I also ordered the matching panty in a Small. The small range is supposed to be for 85-93cm, yet these only stretch to a max of 82cm. The other Comexim panties I have tried were more TTS to being on the larger side so I was a bit surprised that these are so small. While I can squeeze them on over my hips easier that I expected, I do get that less than idea muffin top look so these are a fail as well.

Needless to say I am disappointed all around with this order, and since this was my “give them another try” I can now be confident it will be my last. Such a bummer as I do love their patterns, and the owner of Comexim, Anna, is such a sweet and caring person. I just think the communication gets lost or ignored once it hits the seamstresses, so even when Anna puts in a lot of extra effort to insure my happiness and a great fit, it doesn’t result in getting the job done as stated. I will not be complaining to Anna about it this time, as she refunded my last order due to the disregard of customizations, and I don’t want her to do that again. She did personally put in the time to try and work through the details, and she is very caring about her workers, so stating the issues this time around I just don’t think will really solve anything so it’s better left unsaid. I just think the seamstresses have a difficult time imagining the width vs depth ratio of these sizes. ☹ I know Comexim bras work beautifully for many women, but for me at my current size, they just don’t work. I just need the more upfront and fuller coverage the Ewa bras offers. And thus my love for Ewa bras ensues……

That is a lot of extra fabric on the top of the cups. They really don't know how to make cups in this size, and that is quite sad. It's a lovely colour, I wish it had worked out better for you. :(

    • 1

Oh gosh, it's beautiful but that is a disappointing fit! I wonder if you could have asked for longer wires and such :/

    • 1

OMG IT'S GORGEOUS!!!!!! You totally know women would kill to get this kind of a look right? lol
I totally agree that it's East West look on you. And it is most assuredly as plungey as it gets!
I think you are totally right about Comexim seamtresses just not being as well informed (i dont feel thats the best word to use here, but the only one i can think of at the moment) on how a larger busted, smalled ribbed ladies proportions work.
I do wonder if you had gone through all of that with a non-padded bra if it would have fit better? Or maybe you could switch out the wires for a firmer pair that do not distort quite as much to make it more comfortable for you to wear.
Perhaps instead of emailing her about the fit not being quite the way you wanted, perhaps you could email her about possibly making a different pattern for her seamstresses to follow for the larger busted, smaller framed women? Their patterns are definitely more suited to your smaller, medium busted women.

    • 1

Btw, I'm totally in love with your tats.

    • 1

      Thank you all.
@Brasaremean given they haven't honored my requests for the narrow wires on my last two orders, I honestly don't think I would get taller wires without getting wider wires in the process. Too much off with fit to be confident with a Comexim solution for me.

I just think Comexim doesn't do large cup/small band well, at least not at this end of the spectrum. No worries though as Ewa works well for me.

@LeProfessor I have tried the their sheer in both 60P deeper at the wire and 60Q. Equal amount of issues:

      https://www.bratabase.com/bra/dis3r/
      https://www.bratabase.com/bra/dis3m/
      https://www.bratabase.com/bra/disja/

With the last order I went back and forth with Anna for days trying to work though the issues and it didn't get resolved. Comexim just isn't for me.

Hope you all enjoyed the Calluna worthy photo stock. ;-) (with loves Calluna, I told you that you weren't the only one with millions of photos!!)

Ah, shame. Maybe there's a language barrier there even though it doesn't seem like it :/

    • 1

No one at Comexim speaks English@ brasaremean, they use a translator so yes, some things get lost in transition I'm sure. Yet Anna is really good about communicating back and forth and I tend to over explain, so I really think it's more of a not understanding the projection vs width need at this size. So many brands are stuck on larger breasts equal wider, so most bras do the same. Ewa is the only one who seems to have it down actually.

So instead of complaining to Comexim and upsetting Anna, I think I will just let it go and send Ewa a thank you for making bras that do work for me instead. Comexim is always so busy, I know Anna has plenty of other things to focus on, so I don't need to draw her attention away from other things of more importance really. Let her focus on other sizes, as there are plenty of unique combinations that need Comexim bras more than I do.

    • Another thought. I am starting to wonder if they reduced the gore height instead of cup height. That would result in a slightly lower cup at the center, explain the extreme plunge and the super tall cup at the strap......hummmm maybe......?

    • 2

Yea fickle as Ewa is I'm very thankful at least I have bras that will 100% fit without a doubt, and with each bra I get I send a huge thank you to them!

    • 1

very thorough review! That's sad that it didn't work out, the pattern/colour on this one is pretty.

But yes, at least there's Ewa

    • Thank you Frazzleberry : -)

    • Okay! So I pulled out my 60P Graffiti to compare with the new Beatrice 60P/28KK.

My Graffiti was ordered with straps moved in, an extra row of eye loops and regular band instead of long line, so closest to standard direct from Comexim

The wires were 5.88” wide, but the wires filled the channel completely, at 13”, Placing Graffiti over Beatrice at the wire, you can see that the gore height is the same as Beatrice, so the gore was not lowered on Beatrice. The wing is also the same height, but the straps are definitely moved in on Graffiti, and you can tell that Beatrice was not. In fact with Graffiti placed over Beatrice, you can see that Beatrice was actually made with a raised cup height instead of reduced, which is why it looks so off. Also, by placing Graffiti over Beatrice, I can say that Beatrice does not have deeper at the wire resulting in more immediate projection as Graffiti has the same depth at the wire.
While I originally measured Graffiti at 14.5”, it fits perfectly outside Beatrice minus the narrower wires, so I re-measured Graffiti and it now measures to 15.5” as well. I guess my breasts have stretched the cups out……With putting that one on, I do get a lot of quadding (which was why I put it into storage in the first place) but I do not get that outer empty cup space as the wires are perfect for my breasts. The quadding unfortunately is enough to be seen under a sweatshirt though, so it still isn’t wearable, but that’s expected. I had to try it though since it was out anyway, right? Haha! If I could just get an extra ½-1” on those cups without widening the cups, I’d think I would have a wonderful fit in Comexim.

Here's the compare, with bra over bra photos at the bottom of the photo page.:

      https://www.bratabase.com/compare/dlotb/pictures/

:-) Does anyone else view bras like pieces to this whole "fitting" puzzle?

    • 2

The fit on their longlines is really wonky to begin with, even in smaller sizes (I mean.. I was never *small* per se but I like a 70M or so was the smallest longline I tried and that wasn't too far outside their standard range.) They're really wide and shallow and because there's stretchy fabric all around it makes the gore really widen out (part of why its so shallow). If you notice, the gore looks less plungy when you're not wearing it and I think that's in theory how its supposed to fit. I think that she just doesn't know how to make bras for larger sizes and doesn't have strong enough materials for it, but I also think that like 90% of the fit problems of their longlines overall are because the entire front panel stretches too. In general, people seem to have very limited success with Comexim's longline bras. The best fitting one I had (because I kept trying even though they didn't work) was the Florence, which uses a nonstretch fabric as the overlay so that sorta supports my theory

    • kermitdafrog21 I do agree, but after my last growth spurt, I haven't been able to get any Comexim bra to work, padded or sheer, regular band or longline. The 60Ps are too small with a lot of quadding, even when ordered with deeper at the wire (tried this on 4 bras.) Yet the 60Q is just too wide so I get center spillage and quadding (due to shallowness &/or premature cut in?) yet the outer cup is empty and wide. Not a comfortable fit or appealing look.
If I recall, you experienced the same with their regular bras as well?

    • 1

Yay for thorough reviews and oodles of pictures!

    • 2

Well, I can see why you were tempted- gorgeous bra! Thank you for the thorough review, it is educational to us all (certainly me!) What a disappointment that it didn't work. There is truly crazy amount of fabric in your armpit area. The language barrier is truly an issue, but I wonder if it would be worthwhile to send her your review. Tell her you dont need her to do anything for you, but that you thought it would be interesting for her to read a review of the bra in a size that they probably dont make very frequently... for the common good and her "bra science"...

    • 1

I totally agree with veggiechic ! Perhaps instead of writing anna back to get any money or anything, perhaps writing her back and explaining things and maybe offering to work with her on a pattern for larger bust , small banded women. MamaPagan you know SO much about bras, their construction and what is required of a bra in the area of the fit table you might as well be making patterns. And I know you got spreadsheets of measurements and fit information! You are TOTALLY qualified to assist a bra/pattern maker in creating well fitting bras for bustier women. You prolly know more than most bra makers do if I'm honest!

and in my head is spinning all the reasons why women of this day LOOK for this sort of look and fit in a bra...which also coincides with why when most women start their bra journey they are obsessed with having extremely high wings and cup sides...because they're so used to all their tissue being pushed back under their arms they need the wider/taller bra to support the arm breast while still remaining comfortable and giving them victorias secret-esque cleavage....and that's just one of the thoughts going in my head.

And maybe not all is lost, lol. You now have a short-term-wear, gorgeous bra that you can put on under something very low cut or very sheer to make everyone jealous about that fantastic figure of yours. :-P

    • Thank you Calluna ☺ and Thank you veggiechic & LeProfessor. I do understand what you’re saying and it is all very valid points. With my last order fiasco, I did send an email to Anna. I didn’t ask for a refund or replacement or anything. I just voiced my issues, and she automatically refunded me. We went back and forth many times discussing the fit issues etc, with my typical 4 page replies detailing everything out and photos at every angle outlining the fit concerns. The issue is Anna takes any criticism personally even though it’s not an insult of her. She is very protective and caring for her seamstress crew, and feels they work very hard and poor their hearts into their work, so anything that could be construed as a criticism does hurt her. Add that she doesn’t speak English herself, and from our conversations I gathered it was Google translate, I think she may logically get lost in the translation of my over explanations. Add that after all the back and forth last time and still having her contact me and us discussing the customizations with this order before it was completed, they still were not done as requested, I am confident that the translation of “I need…” vs “I want ….” is lost or ignored by the seamstress crew. I can’t say it’s on purpose as in “Oh, she couldn’t possibly want or need that” and thus ignored, or just a lack of understanding the dimensions of this size and switching requests by mental default in thinking. All I know is that I got the exact same wire width in the 60Q that I complained about last time which is illogical, and the customizations that I was told were completely understood were not done. In fact based on the Graffiti comparison I really think the cups were raised instead of lowered, haha.

If I could actually physically be there, I think it would make a difference, but a trip to Poland for a bra fitting is not a possibility at this point in my life. ☺

Plus, my needs would vary from others, so even if I could get my bras perfected, a standard pattern based on my boobs wouldn’t necessarily work for other breasts, haha.

Breakout Bras stocks Comexim bras up to a 60S/UK 28M, so I can only assume they do actually have customers who buy them, so honestly they must have some experience with the range, right? As we’ve discussed on the open forum recently, the Breakout Bras Comexim vs actual Comexim direct bras do appear to be made differently, but the BB ones do appear to be made differently and smaller in the cup, so….. I just don’t know what to assume any more.

I do believe that a big part of the Comexim dilemma is that after ordering standard, changing sizes, ordering standard, changing sizes, ordering standard, then customizing, assuming the requested customizations were done, and adjusting customization requests based on that assumption, each order got further from the actual request. It didn’t help when my breasts decided to change again, adding another wrench into the mix.

With the last order in January, Anna told me that they gave me the 6.25” due to that fact that it was the same wire that was used in my order prior, even though I had specifically requested a narrower wire. So, it was an issue of not complaining from the beginning about fit issues resulted in them just using the prior specification and ignoring the new requests. I really thought that after the long discussion with my January order and the follow up with this order that this misconception would have been worked out, but it clearly was not.

As we have discussed lately about the emotional challenges during this time of year, I do not want to address an issue that will cause her emotional pain, especially when I am confident it will not get resolved. I don’t want her to incur an additional expense of returns/refund/or remake, but I also don’t want to spend more money on bras that I am not confident will work, especially when I can get a great fit with Ewa. Sure it would be wonderful to have a second brand option, but it really isn’t needed for me. I know this is a business transaction, but I still feel compassion and understanding should still be considered, even if others would see it as a weakness.

Plus, would you want Anna and her very small overworked team to be focusing on my odd needs during the busy season, or have them be focused on fulfilling orders for other sizes that they can make well? I am really okay with it. I did try, and I know that Anna did as well, so I am not mad. It just wasn’t meant to be. (I sound like we just broke up, haha!)

Seriously though, I do appreciate the support you all have given me, and the wonderful suggestions. If I can figure out a way to innocently/non-offensively ask Anna for the list of customizations done on each of my orders so I can compare the fit and adjust my requests accordingly for next time, then I will send her an email with that, but I will wait until after the holidays for sure.

And thank you very much LeProfessor for your confidence in my knowledge. <3 I really do appreciate that; I do try and see everything from all perspectives though I know I am far from an expert. Always the student, never the master of any trade! And I’ll have to do some creative alterations to allow these to be wearable, as when I bend over my nipples pop out. “Surprise!” would be an understatement, haha!

    • Oh! One more thought. Since the gore wires are sitting 3/4"-1" below the top of the gore, the gore is actually being pushed off the sternum which adds to the extra deep plunge look when on. The fabric at the gore looks more like "7C" (the 7 being fabric and the C my breasts) instead of flat due to boob resistance and lack of wire.

    • 1

I think your decision to not buy any more Comexim is very wise. You tried (over and over) and so did they, I'm sure, but it was just a manufacturer/customer mismatch and really that's all there is to it. Why waste their money and their time and resources when you have a perfectly viable option in EM!

    • 1

I did the "armpit curve surgery" (lowering the curve without moving the straps) and added a comfort pad (aka folded piece of fabric) over the wire end. New photos added to show the difference. I didn't swoop n scoop either but I think that actually helps with fit so it might be a new plan for this bra. I haven't worn it aside from trying it on post bra surgery, so I don't know if the fabric will help with the wire dig in under the arms, but the side of the cup is perfect now. The wires are still too wide but possibly wearable now, though I still don't know if I'd want to bend over in it haha!

    • 1

      Is it comfy?

    • 1

I won't know until I wear it for a few hours. I only put it on to test the "surgery" success & take a few photos. I will wear it soon though & try to remember to report back. But at least the armpit isn't pushing against the cup anymore and the resulting side wrinkling is gone! :-D

    • 2

Yea I would say it looks a lot lot better!

    • 1

I thought so too. :-) Bra salvage is always a good & happy thing!

    • I put this one on this morning, but had to take it off after 5 minutes due to the wires under the arm. Tried bending them out but it didn't help. Felt around near the wire and realize without the swoop n scoop, they are indeed sitting on breast tissue, yet with swoop n scoop, the boobs flop out if I lean forward so this one isn't going to work at all..... Bummer. But hey, at least I tried!

    • 2

A couple of weeks ago I opted for "test bra surgery" session 2, where I narrowed the gore and shortened the band as a result. I also widened the wires to a lazy J - think Ewa SF wire shape.

While it isn't perfect, I was able to wear this one yesterday without pain and if I don't Swoop n Scoop my breasts stay in the cucupI do have to have the straps looser but less support is better than pain at the moment.

It was my first pain-free day in 3 flippin' weeks.

It's ironic that my only doable bra at the moment is Comexim, haha.

    • 2

I'm glad the alterations worked ;)

    • 2

Thank you. :-) It's not a pretty alteration, haha, but it's not painful either so I'm happy with it. :-)

    • 2

Hurray! Comexim bras always seem easier to DIY than EM.

    • 1

Indeed! I wouldn't be able to bend Ewa wires like that, or attempt the gore narrowing. (Then again, usually Ewa bras are narrow enough so....) Today, as I struggle with my second Ewa bra for the day in pain, I am loving Comexim!! Unfortunately the other 60Q Comexims I have did not work, but maybe the new ones will fare better.... :-)

    Didn't fit

This bra is a gorgeous bright orchid color. It is floral and scalloped lace, with low and smallish black cups underneath. The fronts of the straps are thick and can be pretty showing out from under your shirt straps.

This bra is a bit too small in the cups currently. It doesn't fully cover my nipples. The inner black cups provide much less coverage than my other comexim bras. I still wear it sometimes, the other night I wore it as part of an outfit for a concert, with a very deep v black tank over it that showed the purple lace all the way to ... the top of the gore. I think it would be helpful for these straps to adjust shorter. I would also like it if the back of the straps and the hooks were not black, but the same purple so allow this to be worn as many women wear bralettes , with strappy or open back shirts. Personally one problem I have when I wear this bra is that the long line part rolls up, to pretend it is just a regular bra. I think it is my body, my ribs flare out and I have a belly, someone who has a waist that is significantly smaller than their rib cage measurement might have more luck.

This bra was...a gamble, but it's also a testament to this site and how awesome it can be once you have added some bras and figured out what measurements and such work, what you like, and what you need. Let me explain....

This is my first Comexim bra. I've never had one or tried one or anything, but I learned from a friend with a very similar size and shape that the sizes in Comexim that I should be looking at are 65H or 70G. And well...well, this bra is a 60HH. So it is a sister size, but a smaller band than I'd normally consider. Sometimes I like ... to browse the listings and not filter anything in a particular brand...I just see everything available and then maybe click on nearby sizes if something appeals to me and I look at the measurements. This is how I came across this particular bra. Normally, I look at the measurements and realize that nope, not going to work (and give a small cry). This one though, this beautiful bra, said that it had a stretched measurement of 30" so I was immediately intrigued and interested! I'd seen this bra on my friend's blog previously and had fallen pretty hard for it then. I figured that as it had a user before this seller, the band must have just stretched out, but thought to ask the seller to confirm that (which she did...she gave more detailed stretched band measurements). Even if the band didn't really stretch to 30" I figured I would be ok if it got to 29", and if it was less, then I would be ok using an extender. The rest of the measurements looked right, based on the bras that I have added and measured. So it was a gamble, but at least an educated one. I bought it with all of my fingers crossed.

Now, my boobs tend to have shortish (possibly taller but deflated, so still functionally short) and narrowish roots (looks wider unsupported than they really are) with soft and malleable tissue that's pendulous. I am even to FOB and center full. I need depth at the wire but not necessarily at the apex.

First, I have to thank the seller for wrapping the bra in neon polka dot tissue paper and stuffing some into the cup for transit. Nice touch there.

Secondly, this bra is so beautiful. The navy blue lace is rich, and the C charm at the gore has a little sparkle gem in it. It's very royal and regal looking; the eyelash lace adds an additional feminine touch and adds to the details that make this beauty. It is definitely a bit worn in sections and it does not seem to be as flat against my skin as it should be (it curls up some). The shimmery beige bows at the straps and gore tie beautifly into the creamy beige lining under the lace. There is just something very pure about that beige lining...that particular shade is well chosen, I think. It almost disappears on my pale skin. If I was to do a photo shoot with this bra, I'd naturally have the matching knickers, and in true Big Cup Little Cup fashion, I'd have accessories...I think that I would have a tiara (either on my head or simply in shot) while drinking some tea from some lovely (read: fancy) china. Ha ha!

The fit is pretty fantastic. I do feel like it is slightly more minimizing than some of my other bras, but I'm ok with that. It's not serious compression or anything. I will also say that I do find that the band is a little bit tight...it's borderline. I did not get a 30" stretched measurement; I got 28.75" which is close to my snug under bust measurement (and more like a loose 28 whereas it was a tight 28 originally). I prefer 29-30" stretched bands and this is slightly less than that. That said, given that it is used, it is more relaxed and still feels mostly ok. It turns out that the bra is actually my friend's old bra (!)....the one from the blog post I mentioned above. It just had a brief user in between. Anyway, I wore it to work the day after I had gotten it (I had tested it for an hour or so when I first got it) and running errands all day a few days later. I was fine both days. I did explore the extender option, but I think that it's going to be ok without it, and if it is just a bit too tight after work, I'll take it off and maybe put a looser one on. Or have nothing.

Anyway, I think my pictures are evidence enough that I can stand to have a few more Comexim 3HCs in my life. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" /> My pics are split, btw...I took some immediately when I opened it up immediately after work, but after work was 8pm, and I was loosing my natural lighting fast, so I took a few pics in my bathroom under the heat lamp which is a lovely, bright, and warm light. Details are much clearer under the brighter lights. I shared both groups for perspective of the colour. Thanks for reading! Hope that you love this as much as I do.

Oh, I think it looks fantastic! Does the eyelash lace tickle at all? I always wonder if those lacy touches at the tops of cups are bothersome or not; I've never tried any like that, personally.
It's so awesome to see that Bratabase helped you find such an awesome bra! Congrats!

    • 3

I love the story behind the bra as well as your wonderful review of the bra itself. Great job putting it into words! :-)

    • 2

I love my Comexim half cups... they fit better than any other bras on me. I do agree that they are slightly minimizing, but they still offer a nice rounded look, so it's all good. This one looks great on you. I do agree that the band looks slightly too tight, but if it's comfortable, then that's good. Glad you found a new well-fitting bra!

    • 2

Oh man...no more 3am reviews! Soooo many typos. Lol! I'll have to go back to fix them.

mandapandarawks no, I don't find the eyelash lace itchy or ticklish. The threads seem to be ok. And yes, I'm grateful for the site and all the things that I have learned here and other places online. This bra wouldn't be on me today without it.

MamaPagan thanks! I hope my story will be able to help out others that are also newish to all of this like I am. I'm glad that you like this review.

Wilderness1 yes, slightly it's minimizing, but still nicely rounded. Our shapes are similar, so it's nice to see that my assessment is pretty good. There are a few half cups in the listings right now, including this one in a 65H which might be slightly better in the band, and one I reallly want, but I have to figure out how to pay for it (and all the ones that I want right now). Lol

This was my first Comexim order and I couldn't be happier. I read a lot of measurement info and fit checks here and on the abtf reddit to try to figure out what size to get (I usually wear a 30D in Cleo/Panache bras). And I also decided to bravely go for an alteration on my first order as well - I asked for a narrowed gore because I routinely make that alteration on bras myself. And it worked out great! The fit feels perfect to me and it is the most comfortable bra I've had yet! The gore is perfect. There's no gaping or empty space anywhere, ... the wire width is perfect, and it has nice high wings, which I love. I was a bit nervous to get the plunge style because I have tall (but shallow) roots and bras sometimes cut in on top, but not this bra! And the fabric is beautiful!

    So, yeah, I think I'm a Polish bra convert https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

Thanks to everyone who measures their bras and posts reviews and fit questions - you are helping more people than you know!

    • Congratulations!!

    • Yay! It looks great on you!

    • Yay! I love Polish bras too. May I ask how you did the narrowed gore when you did it yourself?

    • Thank you!

Sunflowergrrl - There are a few tutorials out there for narrowing gores that I learned from, like this one: https://brasticmeasures.wordpress.com/2015/01/04/fit-issues-center-heaviness-is-a-dominant-shape-trait/

It's a very simple alteration, and reversible if you don't make any cuts to the fabric. Basically, you just pinch the gore in and sew it down along the pinch line. It's very helpful to pin it first and try the bra on while it's pinned to see how much you need to take it in.

Sometimes I need to overlap the top of the wire channels as well, because otherwise the angle of the cups changes too much. This was a useful tutorial for that step: https://imgur.com/a/RmUTO

If you are at all handy with a needle and thread, and you think it might improve a bra, it's totally worth a try. You can always undo the stitches if it doesn't work out.

    Hasn't set fit

To start with a disclaimer, when I ordered this bra Joanna has warned me that it is designed to go up to size 80H, and beyond this size she cannot guarantee that the bra will be supportive enough. However, I'm very happy I ordered it regardless of this!

First off, the construction - The bra is a two-part cup with the cup continuing as a strap until above the shoulder. The strap is half adjustable, it has little stretch, and it continues on the band until the hooks and eyes. The cup is made of 2-way stretch lace, and the outer half of the cup is doubled with ... a thin layer of stretch beige fabric. The band is made of one layer of the same lace fabric, but it is true to size and moderately stretchy. I ordered it with the alteration wing height 11cm, which must have been done, since both the wing and the gore are very low.

I was at first surprised to see the bra categorised as a bralette, but after trying it on, this category makes a lot of sense. Unlike the other unlined Comexisms which I've tried (3-part half cups), this bra provides less lift and doesn't bring everything front and center. However, the bra is comfortable, very lightweight and provides a natural minimized rounded shape, so that's a success for me.

MY SHAPE: Projected, center full, close-set, tall and narrow roots.

THE TAKEAWAY: Ordered as a three-part half cup, this bra has excellent depth. With my stronger-wires narrow-and-overlapped-gore customizations, it handles my center fullness pretty well. Band is very comfortable, possibly to the point where I should be wearing it one hook in. I will measure it and edit this if I'm right.

DETAILS: Super round shape and mondo cakes-on-a-plate, in part because these cups fit me so precisely that they're almost to the point of being a smidge small. The cups are thinner, imho, than in some other Comexims I own, but still thick enough for modesty concerns.

The color is ... a vibrant green that my photos don't do justice, with cornsilk-colored lace that gives a very dandelion impression. The lace definitely keeps this from quite being a t-shirt bra, but an even slightly thicker shirt should be fine, and it's so beautiful. I'm particularly taken with the black accents, and I like the little triangle window in the straps.

I requested the alterations I did because this exact same bra with weaker wires just collapses in the center under the weight of my tissue. It causes a very peculiar fit problem that for a long time had me thinking I needed a K cup -- until I actually tried a couple and discovered that they were HUGE. Oops.

On Comexim's website this bra is actually described as a full cup, which intrigues me, but I've had so much success with the altered 3HC that I'm sticking with it for now.

One very minor note: lately all the bras I've bought from almost anywhere have had a little bit of extra fabric on the end of the rows of hooks, which really increases the comfort when you're on the loosest one. This bra doesn't have that, and I'm a little sad about that. It bumps this down from excellent to good in terms of comfort.

Looks great on you! I actually think I prefer this bra as a 3HC now that I've seen it.

    • 2

oh oops, I just realized it comes as 3HC. Well, it definitely looks good on you then, because when I've seen it before it never struck me as being as beautiful as it looks here.

    • 1

Gorgeous!! Thrilled you found alterations that worked. Squeal :-)

    • 1

      wow, thats gorgeous

    • 1

Wilderness1 no you were right the first time, it doesn't. That's why this bra is labeled CUSTOM ORDER ONLY in small print! If you want it as a 3HC you'll have to order it that way too. Also thank you!

      Love4Pollinators me too ;o;

dbmamaz isn't it?! I knew I had to have it the second I saw it...

    • I wish i could think of any reason I would need that bra . . . but hubby really doesnt much like most bras (just a black lace or two), I'd have to do a LOT of work to figure out the customizations I'd need, and . . . it probably still wouldnt be a good enough fit to wear much. Sigh. (I have one 80M unlined 3hc which I got 2nd hand)

    • 1

Can you explain more about the stronger wires customization? Do I just say, hey, gimme those stronger wires for my heavy boobs kthnxbai?

    • That's such a beautiful bra, and an awesome fit. How's the depth towards the center?

    • triumphof i order through BraObsessed so I'm not exactly sure. I started out by asking for firmer wires but Jaimie has said "stronger" every time. I think stronger wires is your phrase!

gratiat if you tell me exactly where you measure to get the numbers you need I can try and put my tape measurer there. I've never been confident in my cup depth measurements D: Somehow I seem to wind up with the number 11 a *lot*.

I will say that depth at the center is a big need of mine and while I settle into this bra with cleavage, I don't fall out or quad. The fit still feels great.

    • rainbrasspetals That's good to hear. I'm not in your size range, but I find that half cups tend to feel super unstable on me because of the lack of center projection.

    • rainbrasspetals ooh, thanks!

    • Love the review! I love green and wouldn't have guessed this one to be green (doesn't look green on Comexim's site either) so thank you for putting that in your review. This will be my next Comexim for sure!
      @triumphof
When I've customized directly through Comexim, I've just sent Anna @ Comexim an email asking if it was an available option and her reply has been to just add the request in the notes section when ordering. So far it's always just been a custom size for me, but I'd assume it would be the same with any customization request. Anna is super nice so you could always email her and ask to make sure!

Nice length for a longline. It hits me at my natural waistline, but I am short. But it's longer than most longlines I've tried, especially the 30E - Claudette » Dessous Long Line Bra
I requested a narrowed gore and it's definitely narrow. I think that did help with the width between the ir longlines tend to have a good amount of space between the cups)
I think I requested a 1cm cup reduction, but I wish the cups were shorter, not that they're too tall, because they're not. I just want something with a little less coverage.
There's stitching across the top, but I do think the good for FOT breasts.
