This blue Lily with pink accents is .5 inch wider than my magenta Lily. So it fits more wide and shallow - I get bad in cup quadding, where my Magenta Lily only has the slightest hint of it.

Weirdly, this new blue color feels much softer than my used magenta.

The band on this bra fits looser than other Cleo unlined bras I have tried - very sad.

It fits well when I swoop and scoop, but the tissue tends to escape. I think a tighter band would help that. Unfortunately the company I bought from is out of 28Fs - I think that size would be better for me. The band isn't horribly loose or anything, to be clear - if I bought this bra for like $20 used, I'd probably be satisfied. But since I'm buying it new and paying almost retail price, I'm a bit more picky about fit.

Anyway though, this is the Cleo I've always wanted - minimal design (minus the Leopard bow), great shape, slightly less bright color. I want to keep it.

Listing it so hopefully someone will take it before I rip the tags off and wear it anyway.

I bought this together with the 30F to compare and this was more successful in terms of fit. Not much to say about the looks, other than I do like it. I like blue, and I like that the straps is a brighter blue and there’s a bright pink bow for contrast. I do wish the cups didn’t have the black overlay since I already have enough black bras.

In terms of fit, it’s very similar to the Pixie I own. It has the same spandex-like material for the band and it’s also a bit tight for me, I’ll be wearing an extender until it loosens up. ... Cups fit similarly and gives a nice rounded shape. I like that it has stretch lace on the tops of the cups which prevents digging in on the top edge if you're fuller on top. It doesn’t have a second layer of mesh so it will actually stretch. I’m not sure if it's the same in the larger sizes, but in this size range it didn’t.

The wires are a bit problematic for me. I generally don’t do well with high gores as they tend to dig in and my boobs sit close together. I’ve already bent the wires out, but the bra still requires some breaking in before it’ll really be comfortable. The width of the wires is ok.

Overall, I like this bra and the shape it gives, but it will require breaking in before it’ll be comfortable.

This bra is very comfy and it fits well. It gives a good shape without being too pointy or too round. I feel like the top of the cups are a bit wider than they should be, which causes slight gaping, but not enough to be a problem.

There are no visible seams but I don't like how far back the straps are and you can see the bumpy texture of the design through thin shirts.

I have wide, even breasts with tall, shallow roots.

This material the outer cup is lined with is so soft! I can't stop touching it when I first put on the bra, lol.

This bra is shallow and runs about a cup size small. The 30E fits my 28E breasts pretty well, with some minimal gapping at top. The top of the cup has some lacey-esque trim, which makes it show through some of my tight tops--this means it may not be the best choice for a t-shirt bra, depending on the outfit.

Perfect fit. The material is sturdy enough to prevent headlights, the wires are excellent, and the material isn't scratchy. Also, there is enough lower projection, and the top is unprojected enough to not gap. I couldn't be happier, just wish they made this bra in more colors!

Find this bra at Nordstrom Rack. Sadly it was the only one in my size range. Tried to get a fitting but apparently the website was wrong and they didn't do fittings at the one I went to. The only girl who had any bra fitting experience use to work at VS... She tried telling me I needed a 34C when I was standing there with a 30E on... But this bra fit better then expected. I'm not a fan of unlined bras but I really like this one.
My only issue is I think it's to small in the cup because it does this weird wrinkling. Will add pictures tonight or tomorrow with fit check.

Over all I'm happy with this bra. Just wish the world would open their eyes to real sizes not matrix sizes...

    • Someone claimed they do bra fittings at Nordstrom Rack?? That would be the first I ever heard of it!

    • I looked on Nordstrom website site and it had it listed for bra fittings... But I'm gonna go to a closer one once I get some extra money... Hopefully soon.

    • I have similar wrinkles and a big flat space accompanied by a blob. ;-) What did your fit check diagnose? Thanks!

    • 1

It ended up being to small for me so I swapped it for a larger bra.

This bra is made the same way as last year's Cleo Pixie Balconnet Bra (7481) , same materials, same cut. It fits pretty much the same except that it's not at all full on top friendly. The upper mesh section is too close on top for me whereas the Pixie is very open.

Looks wise, I think the bra is very visually appealing. The pink accents are a bright neon pink that contrast well with main aqua/green colours. The upper mesh portion has little birds on them!

Overall, I'm pretty disappointed that this bra didn't work for me (in all the sizes I tried). It will probably work better for those who are fuller on the bottom.

Nice bra and fits me well. It gives me very lifted and rounded boobs. I walked into the living room wearing it under a T-shirt and my husband said "your boobs look perky". I am 49 years old and have been married 25 years. I call that a win. Thank you Jessie. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

  12. Pixie Balconnet Bra (7481)

The first thing I love about this bra are the colours and the print. I don't like purple generally, but it works well with the rest of the colours, especially the orange. As typical of Cleo bras, it gives good lift and a nice rounded shape. Not really a fan of the band material, it feels like spandex. I prefer the mesh material, but that's a minor issue.

I generally wear a 30F in cleos, but according the the reviews here, it fits big. I can confirm that it does as it fits similarly size wise compared to the Lizzie I have in 30F. The band does feel slightly ... tight, but will loosen up with wear. The cups are very open on top, which is great for full on top breasts. I have no issues with the top edge cutting in. The gore pokes a lot near the end of the day, so I will probably need to bend them outwards for comfort. The straps are pretty stretchy but comfortable.

Overall, I really like this bra. I feel lucky that I was able to get it!

I'd never expected Marcie to fit, as before my size change Lucy was my holy grail bra. Found this guy on sale and gave it a try. Holy cow! This is amazing for my boobs right now. The band is snug, the cups have enough depth for my bottom projection, the top edge lies flat (a vague hint of quadboob on my larger side, but I'm at my fullest right now), the gore sits flat without digging in. Comparing this with my Lucy (which I've replaced in my new size), I think I have a strong preference for solid bands. (One-piece bands? Continuous bands? Is there a real word for that?)

Bonus, the lace! Lucy's flowers are okay, but Marcie's little bows suit me better. Finally owning a yellow bra feels like winning.

    Color: aquamarine

I like the Marcie. It suits my shallow shape with wide roots very well, and it creates a rounded, upliftet look.
It fits true to size in the cups, but the band is very tight.

I'm having two issues with it:

    - The center gore creates red marks at the sternum, because they dig into the skin. I bent the wires and tried 'breaking it in' wearing a cotton ball, but the situation didn't improve.

    - The wires are too short for the wire channels end therefore end up too short at the sides.
After a few hours of wear, the cups become emptier as the breast tissue isn't contained in the cups. The shape gets worse.

Sister sizing up to 32DD resolved these issues for me.

By measurements, this should fit perfect. However there is no measurement in bratabase for strap to strap width and cup height (like at HerRoom). So this bra eats my tail of spence as it gets pinched between strap and cup. Going back down to 30DD as that width is about 1/2-3/4" less between shoulders and 1/2" lower on cup height.

  16. Minnie Balconnet Bra (7431)

From all "George" sister cuts I've tried, Minnie is most similar to Cleo Bella Balconnet Bra (7001) and Cleo Melissa (6991). (I haven't tried the Cleo Zia Balconnet (6851) so far.)
It has slightly more projection than the Marcie. If you're shallow, you might experience some wrinkling in the upper part of the cup, but that's usually not visible under clothing.
The materials used are very comfy and the band is ever-so-slightly stretchier than the Marcie's. Marcie in 30E felt too tight for me (wires digging in and hurting), but Minnie in 30E is pretty comfortable.

The cut is similar to Cleo Marcie (6831), but Pixie allows for much more volume in the upper part of the cup!

Marcie in 30E fits me well, but I don't have enough volume to fill the Pixie and therefore it's wrinkling in the upper cup.
Might work better in a cup size smaller (I didn't try that out).

I highly suspect this cut is similar to Cleo Chloe (6601), Cleo Ellis (7211) and Cleo Millie Balconnet Bra (7231). It's great for full-on-top shapes.

Wow! I'd ruled Cleo out for my shallow wide rooted boobs, after trying several on in Bravissimo over the last year. I've tried Meg bird print which is gorgeous and Lily (stunning!) but they were just sooo wrong for my shape that I almost wept. I wrote Cleo off as pretty, but just seriously incompatible with my shape. However, I recently realised that my previously perfect fitting 30DD Deco half cup and Ashlee half cup were now giving me undeniable quad boob and the bands have stretched out quite significantly, so much so that the Deco half cup is unbearable on certain days due to constantly ... having to lift my straps back up, grrr!
I realised I'd gone from having a handful of well fitting smooth tshirt bras that I wear to work to having just one decent(ish!) bra, and therefore needed to get some more straightforward simple moulded bras. I found this badboy on Amazon for £7.50 in a 30E and thought it was worth a go. I also bought a Neve (not good...the only bra I've ever actually tried that was TOO SHALLOW for me!) but that went straight back.
So....what a shocker, Maddie fits BEAUTIFULLY! I was worried it may be too deep a cup for me and possibly too narrow wires (the 30DD Cleos I've tried, whilst being v.different styles to Maddie, have always had too narrow wires). But it's spot on! In a 30E the wires are perfectly wide, there's no gaping at all at the top but no quad boob either. My days of too long straps are over - the Maddie straps are sooo short! I wore it today with the straps the loosest they could go, and it was perfect, they didn't budge!
The band is fairly snug, and I'm really hoping it stays that way and doesn't stretch out too quickly.
It's a fairly nice looking bra, I wish it was a different colour, but hey ho, a perfectly fitting functional bra for £7.50, I can't really complain! (but if this style came in purple...ooh or a dark green, woah, it'd be STUNNING!). Top notch, v.impressed. Very comfortable, literally the stuff bra dreams are made of!

The gore on this bra is too wide for me but since the wire channels are longer than the wires I can push the wires out into the armpits and out of the center and it works okay with lower wires. They are kind of pokey at whichever end the wires are pushed to but it has improved with wear. The band does fit tight, after a few hours it digs in on my back painfully, but with an extender is okay. The cups fit my breasts wonderfully though so this bra is a winner for me.

I got this bra on 30E because 28F was not available but I got lucky: the band is tight enough for me. It is only 58cm long unstretched so it fits like 28. (I usually wear 28F)

The cups are a little problematic. The upper part of cups is too tight and it cuts in a little. There´s some quadboobing because of that. It is not as bad as in Lucy, but still it is there. Also the bra feels kind of "tight", I´m not sure if one cup size bigger would be better.

Straps are okay, they adjust all the way.

EDIT. Cups are definitely too small. I tried to sew a dart/triangle to the center gore to ease the quadboobing, but then the cups were even "tighter", wires painful in the center and at the sides, and it was just not working. Pictures are taken without alterations (I took the dart off).
