This bra is prettier in real life than in the pictures. I like black back part of the band. The top of the cups are sheer black with pretty detailing. This bra's fit doesn't remind me the Pixie, because the upper part of the cups isn't all baggy like the Pixie. Now that I looked in the mirror I'm noticing some bulge I don't know what that means. I can't see it from the front so it isn't that much. I can see it from the sides though. The band is nice and firm and it has fully adjustable straps, which is great. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I am close-set with center fullness and I would have to alter the gore of this bra to wear it. It's the easiest alter, I would rather trade this bra with someone who wouldn't have to alter it.
I have mixed feelings about this bra. I think the design on it is so lovely, but I agree with another reviewer that the shape is just strange.
As the other reviewer said, the middle part of the sides are pulled tight, giving the appearance of a sort of "dent" in your breasts. It's really odd. I also get the same issue of cup-quadding and lace gaping, although it seems like that's a running trend with my bras so far. I have problem with the gore, too. Even though it's the same width as my other bras, I guess because of it's height and where it lands on my sternum, for some reason it pushes my boobs apart really far. Too far, in my opinion. The bottom of the bra, under the wire, curls up which looks bad.
Despite the weirdness, I still think it's comfortable to wear.
The band feels snug on the loosest hooks but isn't digging in and it isn't riding up. I don't have to tighten the straps much at all. In my previous bras I've always had to tighten them to right before the padded part of the strap. The wires feel great, no cutting in and they're narrow enough. Also there isn't any space in the bottom of the of the cups and I can fit the wires into my infra mammary fold. The gore is comfy and flat, no pressure or cutting in. The width of the gore is nice too. The strap width feels nice too, I can put my arms up without getting cutting in. The top of the cups is very open. I don't wanna take this bra off!
Weird. This bra seems to run much deeper in the cup than its sisters. I own the Ellis, Bella and Melissa in a 30E. There is a little loose fabric at the top of the cup in these styles, but nothing to affect the fit. With the Millie the lace gaped so badly that it affected the shape (I think because the lace forms a greater proportion of the cup than in the other styles). And it gave me pointy boobs! What Cleo bra does that?!! It was as much of a disaster as the Marcie (albeit in very different ways).
It's a shame, because I like the styling and the lower cut of the lace. But it's in the mail back to ASOS.
Millie Geo 28J I am adding this bra for data/informational purposes only. This Bra is not owned by me at the time of addition to the database.
Millie is an unpadded underwire balcony bra. It is black with multi colored (black, blue, teal, lime green, and mauve/brown) geo pattern and black lace tops. Personally, I love the pattern though I have read negative reviews regarding its look.
The band measures 22.75 to a max of 29” with 2 hooks and 3 rows of eyes.
Cup Depth as measured by: 1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance. This ...measurement is: 12.5”
2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance. This measurement is: 14.25”
I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.
The bra is svery comfortable to me. The band is snug but not too thight. The wires do not rub against my ribs as I experienced it with other bras. The wires do not go up high at the armpit and do not poke. The support is good but there is still much movement since the upper half of the cup is lace.
Sadly, this bra was a complete failure on my FOB, middling-narrow, soft breasts. Wrinkling at the tops of the cups, too-wide wires, and what the *heck* shape was this bra made to fit?
Writing this review over a year later, I can still remember the view from above: the underwire, tucked further under my armpits than I had seen since my last failed attempt at Curvy Kate and their test brand Flirtelle. A slight rounding just past that, then at least 2" of flat, straight boob side-surface leading to a point that wasn't just visible through clothes, but probably from *space*-- I had thought that the pink Panache Tango II I had worn when I fit a 32HH had made my breasts look pointy, but this took it to a whole other level.
Perhaps on someone with wide yet projected, perhaps conical breasts, this would be a great bra. A shame it didn't work for me, as the "bubble" print and black mesh upper looked super cute in spite of the really strange shape.
When I bought this bra I was on the verge of sizing up to a 36G but it fit perfectly. This bra really pushes my boobs to the front of my body and has the perfect projection for me. The pattern is very cute and unique. I would say the cups run true to size or a bit large and the band is tts. Unfortunately the wires popped out of this bra after only a few months of wear. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> I was heartbroken and actually continued to wear it for awhile without the wires. It still brought my boobs up front and centre but was obviously less secure and the gore did not tack so my boobs began falling into the centre.
Cute bra, too big for me. Projection was good. Even though the bra was too big, the wire wasn't quite wide enough for all of my tissue. I would say the band definitely runs true to size. I think if I had gotten it a cup size smaller, it would have looked better.
