My current wishlist is untenable, because apparently I only like discontinued styles. And it's awful because asking others for them never really leads anywhere

AW13 is just around the corner, and I'm beyond excited. I'm definitely getting the Cleo Maddie Moulded T-shirt Bra (7091). I tried it on in my sister size 30DD at Bravissimo; It's simply excellent for shallow, full on bottom breasts. I'm also getting all the new Tutti Rouge sets, so far Liliana Bra (TU100) and Tutti Rouge Betty Bra (TU103) have been succeses, I hope my lucky Tutti streak continues!
Which undies are your AW13 lust objects?

Just ordered a mint Frankie and candy pink Lottie from Tutti Rouge. :D Yayy!!
Glad to see the brand has worked out for you. All TR bras seem to have wider wires so maybe they really are your best bet. I'm very close to your size and also FoB but I am definitely not shallow :/ Crossing my fingers...
Wow, how gorgeous is the Fräulein Annie - Falling in Love Bra? I will be in Germany in a month or so. I can't wait to go on a hunt to find it and try it.

Hauled 2 Tutti Rouge bras today, totally on a whim. The guilt is already setting in!
I purchased the Frankie (mint) and Lottie (pink/"Candy") bras from Celebrar Lingerie. Besides ASOS marketplace which has ridiculous shipping rates, they carry almost the whole range of Tutti Rouge bras. There isn't much reviews on them so I'm a bit nervous, let's see how they ... go. Will update you guys about them
Got both in 28F. Waaah! Wish me luck!
On a random note, am I the only one that would rather have too small cups vs. too big cups? I'm very narrow rooted, short and firm breasted so things like spilling over, quadraboob and tissue remigration doesn't really happen unless they are clearly ridiculously too small. They just aren't that supportive. Signs of bad fit are not that apparent on me. I guess everybody has their bra preferences!

ahh so jealous of you right now, I want the lottie bra in pink. Can't wait to hear if they fit you . I am also narrow rooted :)
Oh my goodness! Just checked it out- I am so buying the birds of a feather bra! It looks like a true half cup- as in it hardly covers anything- and it goes up to a HH! I'm seriously impressed!

miss underpinnings has a post about them. They look great! I think my EMs are too small, but I'm hoping my boobs'll shrink so I can fit into them.
CamillaWells Me too!! I have resorted to purchasing from other retailers to find discontinued styles and have spent a ton of $ doing so. I need to find current bras I like! EM needs to bring out more new colors ASAP!!

This is a positive adventure - I want to show everyone what Jasmine looks like under a tight shirt, in case you're interested in trying this bra. Unlined SMOOTH bras in my size are scarce, to say the least. I'm pretty sure I've never encountered one before this one. The shirt I'm using is for "demonstration" purposes. ... (I know the straps stick out...I thought that would help show where the straps are on my shoulders.
If you're on the smaller end of the size spectrum, like me, don't give up hope. There ARE bras that aren't heavily padded, or "bumped" in the bottom or squish-together-push-ups that can work for smaller sizes. (Well, one at least, lol). It's about damn time.
The Jasmine is especially light for hot summer days as well. It's much softer and less abrasive than the Tangos, and, for me, it's not nearly as constricting. Tango tends to spend its time attempting to reshape my boobs. However, like the Tango, Jasmine does not mash my nipples into my tissue. The cups let my breasts "stretch out" (if that makes sense) which helps keep quad-boob away.
I'm just learning about "shaping" and all that, but I'll bet Jasmine can work for a wide range of shapes/sizes. It's supportive, but it doesn't feel like a shelf...or a cage.
I shopped at Ulta tonight and the SA had on a white t-shirt and she was quadro-boobing SO badly. I swear I could just about see the horrible lines she's going to have all over her when she removes her bra tonight. It was all I could do to keep myself from doing an "intervention" on the spot. I'm not kidding. I feel like going back tomorrow and trying to direct a conversation to bras. She's a lovely young lady but she's going to have armpit rolls the size of tire tubes within 5 years if she doesn't get a better bra!

This bra looks great on you :)
I've been wondering for some time whether I should give it a try, but I'm afraid it will be too tall for me ...
It looks awesome on you :)

I don't swoop and scoop. I have found that it does absolutely nothing because my breasts are fairly firm, self-supporting, and I have no tissue migration. I do always shimmy the wire up to make sure it is sitting in the boob fold. I used to wear 34C, because it was easily found. I knew I ... needed a way tighter band and got all excited when I found a 32D Wacoal bra at TJMaxx once because the band was a little tighter. Anyways, after that I got sick of wearing too big bands and just wore those awful stretchy Bandeau bras that do absolutely nothing. And then I decided I might as well shop online for bras because I buy everything on line anyways. I found my correct size, ordered some, etc. This was about 4 months ago that I started wearing the correct size. THE WHOLE POINT OF THIS is that even though I don't swoop and scoop and I had no tissue migration, my breasts STILL grew in that short time. I went from a 28E/F to a 28G. Uh, yeah. What. I don't know if I really did have some long-lost missing migrated tissue, or if my breasts just decided to grow some more, but if that is the case it is suspicious that it only happened right when I started wearing the right bras. And I've been the same bra size since I was 14. (I'm 20).
I've come to the conclusion that what happens is that these bra-fitting sites and blogs magically make people's boobs grow more. Yup, that's it.

The point of scooping and swooping isn't to prevent "migration", it's to where the bra correctly so that it encompasses any and all breast tissue.
The thing with swooping and scooping is... It's meant to really gather and collect all of your breast tissue making sure nothing gets stuck underneath the underwires or behind them, it's just a bonus if MBT (migrated breast tissue) migrates back. Not all women have MBT to begin with, but it can be migrated back by swooping and scooping IF you have it, since you're really gathering everything.

I've mentioned before that I don't "look" big at all. I wear a 30DD because it's easier to find, but I should be taking a 28F/FF (at least I moved on up from a 34C, those bras never freakin fit). But one issue I run into a lot is that other women (when they ask my bra size) ... don't believe me. I don't tell ANYONE about the 28FF, but even telling people I'm a 30DD shocks them. Lately I just tell my friends that it's a "weird size" and I "don't look it" and they leave me alone...but out of curiosity, what do you tell people when you let them know your size, and they don't believe it?
By the way, funny thing but two of my boyfriend's friends have come closer to guessing my size than any of my girlfriends. Men think about boobs more, I guess? Not that it's appropriate that they guessed, but at least they did it in front of my boyfriend.

That's exactly why my go-to line whenever anyone asks is "Oh, sweetie, I'm so much more than a bra size..."
You could say (if the situation is appropriate for any comments), sizing has become so much more sophisticated and accurate in the last few years. Thank goodness we can now get bras that FIT.

I have decided Ewa Michalak bras are both the love of my life AND the bane of my existence.
Nothing is sadder than ordering a bra in the same style but another color, waiting 3 weeks, and then finding out it doesn't fit. Can a girl get some consistency up in here please?
And just to twist the knife: the matching briefs are on another order that I can't cancel.

They must be having some internal problems at that company. I want so badly to try one of their bras (CH Toffik!!) but I can't help but think I'd be terribly disappointed. They seem to be lacking in quality control.
I'm so sorry your bra didn't fit. :-(
Why is it that different color bras in the exact same model can be such different sizes? Can't companies give customers some kind of "heads up" about this?
Why can't you cancel your order of the briefs? Just write Return to Sender when it arrives, or refuse to sign for the package. Can you put a Stop Payment on your credit card or check?
PS - I LOVE your cat!

So my mom and sister are musicians, singer and flute player. They need to breath well for a living, hence the reason they wear SUPER loose bands. My sister belongs in a 30, wears a 34. My mom belongs in a 32, wears a 36.
Anyone else out there with similar issues? What do you do?

A good idea might be to measure their ribcages while fully inhaled, and how you would measure yourself (probably fully exhaled and snug). If the difference is great, they'll need a much bigger band than their fully exhaled and snug measurement, because the bra will restrict their ability to breathe and sing properly if not. Tell us a little about your mom and your sister as individuals. Do they suffer from back pain, neck pain and such? Maybe even breast pain.
If I were a singer I'd want a band that's not too snug, but one that will still hold me up so I don't lose support. Imo, it's kind of a myth that the band provides 80 per cent of the support (yeah sure it does, but having a snug band is NOT a direct gateway to bra heaven!), proper construction is key also. A wider band will disperse the weight of the breasts on a greater area, therefore, a slightly looser band can be equally as supportive as a tighter one, provided that the looser one is wider. My tip is wide band, high wings and wide straps :)
thanks for all the help!
No pain really since they have really, really loose bands in Warner's. Never heard of the brand. My mom usually wears one bra for a week straight. And she only has two bras. My sister swears by VS :/ and has three bras.
My mom's a teacher, but does a lot of singing with the kids. My sister's doing her MA in performance, so plays a lot.
I've got 5 bras coming for my mom as well as 2 more sports bras for her. They're 36 and 38s, but in a D cup, which I think will fit her better.

So, after learning that I had been wearing the wrong size bra all my (relatively short but still) adult life, I decided enough was enough. I had ordered bras from eBay that I was convinced would fit me in my newly-discovered size, only to be sorely disappointed. Clearly, a bra novice like me would have to go into a store ... and try before she buys! I also wanted to try and introduce my mom to the idea that she might not be wearing the right size either; I had seen her struggle with back, neck, and shoulder pain, and I wanted her to be happy and look fantastic like she deserved!
So, I drag my mother to my local mall, to Nordstrom's (and I use the term "local" very loosely, as it was an hour and a half drive!), and march right up to the bra section. Right away, a friendly woman strolls up to me and asks if I need help.
"Do you know where I could find some 30G bras?" I asked. I'm not very good at shopping.
The woman looked at me with complete and utter shock. I saw her eyes go from my face, to my chest, and back to my face. I glanced over at my mom, who wore a look of absolute disbelief. I was worried that she and the sales lady would immediately shoot me down and tell me to shop for 32DDs or something similar. But! The woman quickly recovered and pointed me to the only 30G bra they had that was on sale, a Freya Patsy half-cup in black/tan.
When I emerged from the dressing room to show my mom and the fitting woman and ask how it looked, they were both completely stunned at how well it fit (not to mention my boobs felt better than they have in.....well, since they existed!). Needless to say, I bought it on the spot, and the lady offered to cut the tags off so I could wear it out of the store.
We were in and out in 15 minutes.
The rest of our time at the mall was spent wandering from store to store, all the while my mother positively flabbergasted at how well my new bra fit. "That thing in the middle is supposed to sit against your chest? And the band is completely straight in the back! Mine's all the way up to my armpits!" Needless to say, she is now completely revamping her bra wardrobe, and she even asked if I could come along on her next shopping trip to help her find her perfect fit and size.
So now I have one absolutely brilliant bra, and hopefully soon, mom will as well! Success!

That's fantastic! It's so nice to hear a positive story, congrats!
Congrats! I'm hoping to convince my mom as well.

Have you checked Figleaves Outlet? Brastop? Lovebras.com? Ebay?
@ShaniSunAZ, I do check everything pretty obsessively. Here has been the most productive actually, moreso than the other websites. I think it comes from being picky, though :)
