So, after learning that I had been wearing the wrong size bra all my (relatively short but still) adult life, I decided enough was enough. I had ordered bras from eBay that I was convinced would fit me in my newly-discovered size, only to be sorely disappointed. Clearly, a bra novice like me would have to go into a store and try before she buys! I also wanted to try and introduce my mom to the idea that she might not be wearing the right size either; I had seen her struggle with back, neck, and shoulder pain, and I wanted her to be happy and look fantastic like she deserved!

So, I drag my mother to my local mall, to Nordstrom's (and I use the term "local" very loosely, as it was an hour and a half drive!), and march right up to the bra section. Right away, a friendly woman strolls up to me and asks if I need help.

"Do you know where I could find some 30G bras?" I asked. I'm not very good at shopping.
The woman looked at me with complete and utter shock. I saw her eyes go from my face, to my chest, and back to my face. I glanced over at my mom, who wore a look of absolute disbelief. I was worried that she and the sales lady would immediately shoot me down and tell me to shop for 32DDs or something similar. But! The woman quickly recovered and pointed me to the only 30G bra they had that was on sale, a Freya Patsy half-cup in black/tan.

When I emerged from the dressing room to show my mom and the fitting woman and ask how it looked, they were both completely stunned at how well it fit (not to mention my boobs felt better than they have in.....well, since they existed!). Needless to say, I bought it on the spot, and the lady offered to cut the tags off so I could wear it out of the store.

We were in and out in 15 minutes.

The rest of our time at the mall was spent wandering from store to store, all the while my mother positively flabbergasted at how well my new bra fit. "That thing in the middle is supposed to sit against your chest? And the band is completely straight in the back! Mine's all the way up to my armpits!" Needless to say, she is now completely revamping her bra wardrobe, and she even asked if I could come along on her next shopping trip to help her find her perfect fit and size.

So now I have one absolutely brilliant bra, and hopefully soon, mom will as well! Success!
