  1. Cari Moulded Spacer Bra (7961)

My shape is low set, soft, narrow and short rooted.

This bra came through ebay from Belle Lingerie. I've wanted to try this bra (or the fantasie rebecca spacer bra) for quite some time, so I finally took the plunge. The bra was ordered about 6 weeks ago, so shipping was very slow from the UK to Canada.

The colour is a magenta/purple. It's vibrant and fun. There are tiny matching bows on the straps and gore. The shape is softly rounded, slightly minimized but not squished. The bra is very soft and the material is thin, flexible spacer foam. They are satiny feeling inside and out. If you've ... never tried spacer foam, it's like halfway between a padded and unpadded bra. There is a very thin lining along the cups edge which might cause cutting if the cup is too small (like with me), or if you have lots of upper fullness. I am short rooted, and I think I could wear this in the right size without any gaping. The straps are fairly standard in width, comfortably stretchy but supportive, and fully adjustable. There is a J hook on the back so you can wear this racer back style or regularly. The band and gore area have a lace on them to add something extra to the bra, but the very bottom of the lace band was very mildly irritating against my ribs when slouching. Otherwise this bra is exceptionally comfortable. The band is fairly firm and fairly true to size (maybe a touch under). I could easily wear this 30F on the tighest or loosest hook depending on the day. I could also wear a 28FF quite comfortably I believe, so I'll be watching for this to go on sale in a 28FF. The cups were too small for me, even though I'd read that this cup ran slighly large. I am a true 30F/28FF, as every time I've tried to size down thinking that I'm smaller, it backfires on me and the cup ends up being too small. Why do I keep trying? I'm not sure...

Overall pretty, comfortable, and would be great as an everyday bra.

I've tried this bra in a few sizes and keep debating grabbing it for everyday wear. It's not the greatest technical fit but it's good enough and perfect for no show under thin t shirts!

    • confused yeah, I'm debating if I try it again in 28FF or even 30F. It was a little pricey, but I know if it fits in a different size, I'll probably wear it a lot (especially for work).

    • 1

I found the band a bit on the firm side if that helps. I think I might have liked the 36 best when I’m normally a 34

    • confused yes I was comfortable in a 30F, so I'd probably stick with that. I don't like uncomfortably tight bands, especially for work bras.

    • 1

Great review! It’s a shame it’s too small in the cups! This is a beautiful color. I have this bra in 30F and the band feels super firm to me! But I usually wear 32” because of my measurements. I bet if you wear a 28” you can get away with the 30” size easily. I feel like the wires on this bra are so hard though! I wish they were softer. The racerback feature is a huge plus on this bra imo.

Spacer foam is so comfy though. It’s excellent for the summer/hot weather.

    • 1

braluv yeah, I'm sure I'd be fine with the 30" band. It felt good, and it was supportive enough for sure. I wasn't sure about the colour when I ordered it, but I like it in person/on.

    • I’ve wanted to try this one for a while but oh panache hard wires...I just seem to have troubles with them lately.

    • Calluna I'm thinking of trying it again in 30F even though the 28FF would also fit, but with the harder wires, I don't want things digging in anywhere, so a 30F would probably be safer. I wore this one just sitting in my house for about 20 minutes and it wasn't bothering me at all (usually the upper gore hurts with hard wires). I think that the gore is just low enough that it wasn't hitting my sternum in that "wrong" spot. Who knows how it would be after a whole day of wear though? It is a hard call though because I can get a Comexim for about the same price...so you know....

I've finally bought my first spacer bra and I've chosen Panache Cari in Cashmere. I'm really glad I did ti because it's comfortable and almost invisible under white shirts so perfect for summer.
It's true to size but I think the band will loose quickly.
Cups are moderately deep and they fit my shallower breasts. They give me really rounded shape and maybe little minimizing.

As strapless bras go, this one's okay. Not my favourite, but better than most I've tried. It's quite projected and closed on top. I think the cups run pretty true to size. The deepest part of the bra is near the centre. Empty, the bra looks kinda pointy. On, the bra looks very saggy and pointy - like a witch's nose in profile.

The band is lined with something that I think is supposed to keep in from slipping down. But unlike the silicone you find on most strapless bras, this has no stickiness to it. It's very smooth and I think it contributes to the bra wanting to ... slide down.

On the plus side, the seams in the cups are pretty low profile. I think it would be pretty invisible under most clothing.

The bra fits and doesn't slide down too, too much. I think this bra would work well under a structured dress, like some bridesmaid dresses. But for under the lightweight, cute summer clothes I was hoping to wear with it, the shape it gives is a deal-breaker.

MY SHAPE: round, projected, even, close set, on the narrow end of average root width.

THE TAKEAWAY: Front, center, and on display! Gives something of a retro, pointed silhouette - if you're into it, you'll love it, but this is not the bra for you if you want to minimize your bust line. Forgiving stretch lace is great for even to FoT shapes. Average wire width. If you have very little tissue on the sides, you may experience wrinkling at the side sling. Band runs true to size.

DETAILS: I'm not new to the Panache Jasmine - it was in my first batch of properly fitting bras back when ... I was in 32DD; a mid-way point between the 36C I'd worn for so long and the snugger, but better fitting, 28F/30E. I've long since needed to retire my 32DD in Black Ricamo, so over the last couple months I've tried various colorways and sizes until I settled on this one as the keeper. Love the rose print! It's sophisticated and sexy. I've always enjoyed the retro, pointed Jasmine silhouette and that remains true today. Fabric is a bit stiff and scratchy out of the box, so the seam between the printed fabric and the stretch lace is pronounced under tight fitting clothes. A few handwashes takes care of that.

While the bra definitely fits as per Bratabase criteria, I do get a curious bit of vertical wrinkling on the sides at the sling (see side view picture). The wire width is right within my best fitting parameters (5.0-5.2", this is 5.1") so it's not that the wire is too wide and I'm unable to fill out some of the cup. I'm guessing this is an outer fullness issue? Almost all of my tissue is on the front of my chest, so I'm guessing there's not much for the sling to gather and push forward. Anyone have any other thoughts?

Well I think we have very similar shapes so I'm going to be nosing around your reviews >>

The worst side sling issue I've ever had is definitely the Sophia from KHI, but I probably also have some side wrinkling in my own Jasmine :\

    • rainbrasspetals come to think of it, I HAVE had issues with side slings in the past - more specifically, the Fantasie Marianna Side Support Plunge Bra (9202), which basically indented into my breasts. It was a comically bad fit, and I wish I'd taken pictures now!

    • 1

Beautiful bra! That color on you is fantastic. Did you try a reverse swoop and scoop to push more to the sides? I sometimes do that on some bra types.

    • 1

      Sob!

Yeah I have a fit request for an Empreinte that flattened me out hilariously on the side with the support sling...

I also feel like my center fullness has caused a lot of unhappiness with bras that fit okay, but gave me a weird shape I couldn't otherwise explain. I'm sort of desperately looking forward to the Cleo Mimi that will arrive on Friday, and future orders with Impimi after my bank account recovers a little. (Which might be sooner rather than later if more of the other bras I'm waiting on strike out.)

    • 1

wow, thats a gorgeous colorway! hopefully the wrinkling will calm after a couple of washes

    • Gorgeous!

    • roxannelovesbras I gave the reverse scoop 'n' swoop a go, and while that does alleviate some of the wrinkling, it creates a new problem: I can't fill out the top of the cups. Luckily, the wrinkling isn't a deal breaker by any means, so I'm keeping it :)

Shape: round, projected, even, close set, on the narrow end of average root width.

Well, nuts. This bra is stupidly pretty. The delicate, stretch lace and the slightly shimmery peach-toned cream fabric is gorgeous, classy, and sexy as hell. The problem is that it doesn't fit.

    Fit issues:
    1) Band too stretchy for me in a 30E. It doesn't go down to a 28F, so I'm stuck fastening on the second and tightest hooks for best fit.
    2) This is a somewhat shallow bra. Not enough immediate projection (check the fit pictures, tons of wrinkling at the bottom of the cup), and I definitely have more upper fullness than the bra ... is expecting. I get a tiny bit of quadding on my larger side.
    3) Gore is too tall and awkwardly separates my very close set breasts; it soft tacks to breast tissue, not my sternum.

Also, I'm a bit concerned about the longevity of the stretch lace on the top of the cup. Some parts of the lace weave have little holes in them which I suspect could get larger over time if the fabric is ever snagged. It looks, and probably is, more delicate than other stretch lace I've encountered.

So, all that said, I am totally going to overlook the fit problems. I know, I know. The fabric and lace, in addition to looking flat out amazing, are very soft and comfortable. At least with this particular bra, the fit issues are not complete deal breakers for the trade-off in looks and comfort. It's not my best fitting bra, but if I want to feel comfortable AND look elegant, I will reach for the Clara.

Nice review! If I may suggest, narrowing the gore by stitching the wires as close as you can will help you being more comfortable. And this will make the band a little tighter.

    • 1

Normally padded/balconette cups are not for me, but I ended up with this bra as, to my surprise, it fit very well when I tried it on, is very supportive, and is nice and comfortable. The straps are wide, but I have wider shoulders so this is not a problem for me. They are also fully adjustable for us with shorter torsos! The cups are a lightweight, stretchy foam, rather than being stiff. Normally I have an issue filling out these kind of cups as I don't have a lot of projection (reconstructed breasts) but it was no problem here because of the stretch.

There is also good lateral ... support even though there are no seams due to the way the straps are attached at the cup. This is important in my case due to the reconstruction to prevent implant migration. I have also read a few reviews on the internet that complain of higher wire on side..the wire is higher, but I again prefer this in my case for better support and to really encapsulate the implant (and I expect would do similar for breast tissue!). Shorter wires just don't feel as supportive in this sense for me. Though higher, it does not dig or pinch.

The lace trim at the top at this point is a bit snug over my "D" shaped breasts, but it does not exactly make a quad boob either on me. It might be an issue for some though. The lace adds some interest and is not visible under my tops.

    Band feels snug, but stretchy.

I really like this bra, and it surprised me that I did! I got it in Lilac as that was all they had in store even though purple is not exactly my favourite colour, but I intend to order it in a black and/or nude as well.

  7. Andorra Plunge (5676)

I have this same bra in 4 different colours: caribbean blue, teal, purple and berry. They are all 30E and fit the same. I usually wear 28F or 28FF in Panache.

At first, the 30E fit well. The band was snug enough, but after a while the band stretched. It needs to be "worn in". Now I wish I had bought it in 28. My ribcage is 26-27 inches, comfortably tight.

The cups gave me pointy shape, and now I think it is because I need 1 size up!! My boob shape has changed lately, and it has made these 30E cups obviously too small, although the stretchy lace saves it a LOT. I will continue to wear these bras.

The bra looks pretty and is comfortable. Straps adjust all the way. The wires are comfortable for me, and the width is okay. I need normal - wide wires.

    Didn't fit

I bought the Panache Tango bra back in 2010 when I first learned about bra sizing and have used it during the past two years.

This bra has always been comfortable and supportive, plus it comes in a great variety of colour. While it's not really original, girly or sexy, it is definitely a great tshirt bra if you have the right shape for it.

The main problem with this bra is that it runs a bit small on the cup size and has a narrow structure. The fabric is thick and will not work with all breast shapes. I found that it often cut into my breast tissue ... or slipped down during the day because the weight of my breast was pushing it down (something that tends to happen less in bras that are the right shape for me).

After debating whether the size was the problem or not for two years, I have decided that the biggest issue for me was probably the shape. While my breasts are not especially wide and are rather bottom-heavy, the top of the cup still cuts in my bigger breast tissue because it is too narrow for my breasts.

In conclusion, I think this is a very good bra, it is still in pretty good shape after two years despite the fact that I machine-washed it. The fabric is very supportive and comfortable. Despite the details on it, it doesn't show much through the clothes and it surely is good looking if you have the right shape for it.

However, the cup size is on the smaller end.

If you just fit into a 30E then this is too tight. Not comfortable for long period wear. It seems the wrong size of me because I'm getting pinched by the underwires in the front, straps, and even the columns in the back. It could also be the material.

The first Ana I bought was the Vintage nude color. This is my most thorough review but is relevant to other colors. I noted brief color details in other reviews.

I’ve looked at this bra so many times, but the wire width always stopped me from trying it. I normally need wires a max of 5 inches wide, and 5.25 inches is too wide on me. For some reason, in this bra, the wires don’t bother me. They somehow don’t stray into my armpits, and the straps aren’t too wide set, either (another consistent problem for me).

It’s a hint too shallow, but with the stretch lace, I’ve decided that ... I don’t mind. I’ve got a bit of quadding, but it’s not obvious at all under clothes. I’m debating trying a 30F just to see, but I suspect that the wire scaling will become a problem at that point. (Edit: I tried it, and the cup height is too much for me. The tops of the cups encroach on my TOS, and I got a bit of wrinkling on my smaller side.)

The band stretches to 30 inches, and it feels great. I wear 32DD in Panache Cari, because the band is just too firm on the 30E, but 32 would be much too loose on this bra.

It’s gorgeous, BTW. Gives a nice, round-ish shape. The low gore is a revelation. I’m surprised at how much I like this bra, but I really, really do. I’m ordering four more in 30E in various colors.

I have this bra in 5 different colors. This review is of the Black. For whatever reason, even though the cup depth measures the same as the others, the cup is quite obviously too small on my larger side. I guess it doesn’t stretch as much? That said, I’m keeping it anyway, because I need a low-cut Black bra. I love the Panache Cari (my other Black bra), but its gore just comes up too high for some shirts. Hoping maybe the cups relax a bit with time and wear.

I understand this is the new version of the Ava. I only ever tried the Ava in a 30F before figuring out that I'm closer to 30DD and 30E depending on the brand, so I can't speak to the changes/differences between them. The Ana is just gorgeous and works great with my close-set breasts. The 30E doesn't quite stay put for me. After wearing it for 2-3 hours, it had wiggled out of my IMF a bit. There's extra space on the sides in this size for me, so I will need to size down to a 30DD. I hope it works, because the colorways are just beautiful and classy in this plunge.

The Panache Georgia is one of those bras I kinda wish I could wear, despite the fit issues. The color coordination is pretty good (not that it's necessarily difficult with only two colors) and all of the patterns collide well with one another. The dots on the blue mesh fabric in the main part of the cup aren't very visible, but add a little extra fun to it. The pastel blue/pink combo isn't bad and I actually wish the pink was a little bit stronger. The top part of the cup has some decorative mesh that seems to be a little closer to pale skin-nude rather than pale ... pink.

Once again this is a Panache bra, and once again the quality is impeccable. What's interesting is that they've used two different fabrics to make the band - The band material under the cups and out to the wing is light blue like the wire channels. That part of the band is made up of two pieces of fabric, which are stitched together in a cross in the middle under the gore. And on the same seam as the wing, a pink band is stiched onto the blue one and comprises the majority of the band going out to the hooks. There's an extra stripe of fabric that goes between the underwires (wire channels) and combined with the cross stitched band, this makes the gore part stiffer and less flexible than in other bras like the Cleo Blake.

Ideally I'd have a slightly smaller cup volume and a much lower gore. I'm keeping it because I haven't found an unlined bra yet that fits this well. Also, it's a beautiful bra and it makes my breasts look good.

Seriously, this bra is like wearing a boob hug all day long! I wish I had one in every color.

The tiny things I would critique: ideally I'd like a more narrow gore; I wish it wasn't soo full coverage-y; and the fabric isn't the softest. Of course, none of those things are dramatic issues, just personal preferences since I know this cut very well.

Technically - it fits because it's in the right size. Band width, wire width and cup volume are okay.
However, the top of the cups is cutting in, because the shape is too closed on top for me.
It looks like it sits on top/in front of my boobs, but it doesn't shape them in any way. It has a kind of artificial look to it that I don't like.
I guess this bra is not wide root shallow friendly - it's just too closed on top and requires some projection.

Besides that, the bra is very comfy and well-made of smooth and soft fabric, it fits comfortably, it runs true to size, and it even has multiway straps.

I bet it'd be a great fit for people with a rather projected shape that is not too full on top.
