    Didn't fit

Unless your boobs are exactly the same shape as the moulded cups with strong separation, this bra won't fit - there's no margin for error with this one. Long wires with closed cups and a very shallow, but tall gore make for a weird squashed (towards the chest cleavage) and serious quadboob. No amount of bending the wires can help that one. Also has the not troublesome, but aesthetically not great gap at the bottom which the Panache Porcelain range is infamously known for.

My shape: projected teardrop/FOB with super wide/tall roots and very close-set tissue in the middle.

This review is for the nude colorway.

The Search for a Strapless Bra, Part I: The Beginning

I just got this bra because I didn't own a strapless, I had a cute off-the-shoulder top to wear, and it was the cheapest I could find in my size. It's alright, although I should note that I am not generally a fan of strapless, whether it be bras or anything else.

I always have trouble with strapless stuff (dresses, tops, bras) making an inadvertent quad-boob effect not because they are too small, but because I have very tall breast ... roots, and nothing strapless is ever cut shallow enough on top for people my shape, with the exception of some corsets that have all the boning to support elsewhere and allow the cups to support instead of squash. This bra is no exception, and it is in fact a pretty significant culprit in the cups-at-the-wrong-angle-for-my-chest department: too much projection, too short and too quick to close on the top of the cup. However, since I am pretty sure that almost any strapless bra is going to be like this on me, I guess it's not any worse than any other.

I have noticed the bottom of the cups wrinkling a lot, and I am a little concerned that maybe a 30FF in Panache is a cup size too big for me, but I think sizing down would also make the pseudo-quad-boob thing worse; plus, I have the orange-in-a-glass effect in lots of bras, so this is just be a combination of not being FOB enough plus the cup volume being at the wrong angle to contain more of my breast tissue. The wires are also not quite wide enough to contain all of my super wide roots on the sides.

The center gore of most strapless bras are too high for me due to super-close-set boobs, but this one is actually pretty low! It's the reason I considered it in the first place, and I was not disappointed! Hooray! Thanks for the plunge, Panache!

Also, it will slide down a bit, even hooked as tight as you can go, but all strapless bras slide a little, so again, no surprise here. I am sensitive to clothes things (scratchy tags, socks bunching around ankles, etc), so it bugs me, but like I said, it comes with the territory.

    • Hi, I just read your review and was wondering if you ever found a good strapless bra? I have nearly the same shape as you and it's hard to find a strapless bra that's projected when most of them are SUPER shallow so that they 'stay on' so to speak.

    • My 30G - Gossard » Egoboost Strapless Bra (6288) does alright in that regard. It's still not perfect, and it might be too much of a boost for some of your clothes to still fit (seriously, it has double cookies), but it's the best I've found so far for my projection and tall roots. Plus, the band is wider than most others I've tried, and it is SUPER tight: I need a 28 in other brands, got a 30, and have just recently stopped using the extender I bought for it.

I really want to try the Boux Avenue Angelina http://www.bouxavenue.com/bras/angelina-satin-longline-bra/100553.html , but I haven't had the chance yet.

    • Alright, thank you so much!

The only strapless bra I own that doesn't slip down, but I don't fill out the bottom of it. Makes my breasts look a little flat.

Wires don't poke me in the sternum at all which is nice.

What to say about Porcelain strapless...hmmm, it's NOT perfect, that's for sure! I believe it's too small for me, but, nevertheless, I think it's shallow and wide, like most strapless bras are (unfortunately). Nevertheless, I've spiced it up with some bra straps, and it turned out quite okay... Full review here: http://www.myfashioninsiderblog.com/2016/06/lingerie-strappy-trend-continues.html

This bra fits so bizarrely, I can't even figure out what size/shape it would suit best. I have wide-set, shallow, slightly FOB breasts and the top of this bra cuts in like crazy while the bottom remains completely empty. I think the mainproblem is that the deepest part of the bra is really close to the gore, which sounds like it would help create cleavage for breasts like mine but instead results in making me look like a mutant because it's not possible for my breasts to get there with the underwire so far below them. The entire cup wrinkles/caves, and the very top for some reason pulls in until it's almost perpendicular to the ground, creating quadboob like I've never had before.

Overall, this bra is just confusing and hard to describe, so I'm posting pictures. If this looks like it might fit your shape, congratulations on finally finding the perfect bra, since I've never come across one like this before.

    • Looks like its designed for someone who does not need any immediate projection and is very center-heavy.

    • a lot of strapless bras are like this, but the Panache Porcelain Moulded Strapless (3370) is extreme. It's for very short roots, and very shallow.

Not thrilled with this bra. It does stay up, which is a plus, but I don't fill out the bottom of the cup, and it's very noticeable under clothing. It also sort of flattens my shape and doesn't allow for any cleavage at all.

I think the only shape that would work with this bra is wide/super short roots shaped like a 'd' against your chest. So like really short roots but 3/5-6 in fullness.
It was super weird on me and not flattering under strapless clothing. Snug band though!

    • I was thinking about getting this bra. Do you think I should get it or do you think I should stay away from it?

    • 2

I think for you, I would pass.. It's very closed on top and very wide. Since I think we have a super similar shape then it would be equally weird for you as it was for me.

Sigh. I am never going to find a strapless.

I normally wear a 30F. Went down a band size because I was worried about it sliding down. For being a 28, it doesn't feel much tighter than many of my 30 bands.

The cups were just not working out for me. Like a lot of people mentioned, it doesn't have enough immediate depth as it leaves the underwires, so my breasts push it down about half an inch so the wires won't sit in the crease. When the wires push it down, the top edge cuts into the top of my boobs.

Appearance is utilitarian, which doesn't bother me a bit, but it's totally unsuited to my skin tone. It's much paler/peachier than I am, and totally obvious under a white t-shirt. Gonna have to let this one go.

Not a perfect fit but way better than my old way too small 34D strapless. The center gore is a little too wide for narrow set boobs, so I cinched it in with a safety pin. The band seems to run a bit big so I would recommend sizing down a band size. The cups are too big for me, and I probably should go down a cup size. I think a 30G would fit better.

    Why?!

I bought this bra for two reasons, needed a white strapless bra for a cosplay and I wanted to try another brand/model of strapless than I had gotten last two times. This bra does not fit me but I don't know why! It was so bad that I had to use the straps it come with to even be able to wear it. I wore it at work waiting table as a trial run. I would never again unless absolutely had to but I will keep for my cosplay as I'll only wear it maybe 5 more times for that purpose.

Reasons I was looking for another ... strapless because after my second Wacoal 854119, I noticed the hooks wear out quickly compared to other bras I have but I also use them so frequently that I wanted to try another brand and/or model. But I guess I forgot how bad most strapless bras fit!? It also does not have the sticky inside lip that the Wacoal has. In fact the top edge goes convex against my skin, showing a ridge under thin fabrics.
