The Panache sports bra doesn't prevent quite as much bounce as its Freya equivalent, in my experience, but it's significantly more comfortable to wear, and it doesn't make me look as flat-chested or pointy as the Freya does!

  2. Sports Bra (5021)

This is the most amazing sports bra ever. I do not say that lightly. It is SUPER comfy, flattering, doesn't squeeze you so tight that the thought of working out becomes an impossibility and is actually good looking enough/covers enough up on its own to wear it without a top over it too.

I weep that I am now too small for this bra and it no longer fits my saddenly smaller bust, as I was in LOVE with this and cannot rave about it enough. So I won't whitter on - if you want a Sports Bra that actually does what it should for enormous boobs so that you don't have to hold them in your hands whilst running and can safely do a Downward Dog without fear of a boob escaping the fabric confines of your clothing and hitting you in the face - then get this bra.

Quality stands up over time as well - some bobbling on the bands, but this is easy to remove and it doesn't stretch out/go manky.

    • I also love this bra, although I have to size up in the band and double down in the cup. (Except the coral.)
Kudos for the practical application of the word "manky"!

    • LOL - thank you! :D To be honest - I was never that sure of my boob size I rocketed up and down like a yoyo and now I'm massively smaller, I've no idea what might fit unfortunately. But I *do* love this bra :)

First of all, this bra has no wires, but it has clearly visible 'molds' for the cups. (They are, however, stretchy and may adapt to your shape, because there are no wires.)

All measurements of the cups were taken unstretched.

    Some additional measurements:
    Cup width measured vertically: 15cm.
Strap width varies between 3cm at the widest and 1.8cm at the narrowest part.
The upper part of the straps is cushioned, and they are only partially adjustable.

I will add more information as soon as I have tried and tested the bra.

    Edited to add:

    - It fits! I'm usually a 30E, but went for a 32DD in this style because I don't like sports bras that are too tight and hinder breathing (sports aren't fun if you can't brrreeeeaaaaathe, right?) The band width is just perfect, and it provides excellent support thanks to the 3-hook closure.
It provides good support, is pretty comfy overall, and it suits my wide root shallow boobs much better than the wired version did.

    Win!

Panache Sport bras have become my favourite. I now own three of them. They hold up my tits (I can run now! and jump! wow!) and give a really nice shape. It also comes in really fun colours! I have a red one, a cyan one, and one with sanctum colours. ummmph!

The bra covers up my breasts, so I can wear lower cut shirts and tank tops without worrying about spilling out!

The wires are extremely comfortable-- they have some sort of squishy lining that feels really nice. I wish they went up higher on the gore though. There's this gap between where the wires end and where the top of the bra is, so if I lean forward it gapes outwards. To combat this, I wish the straps could go a little shorter-- to avoid having to use the racerback, but other than that, no complaints.

The bra feels really tight in the first wear or two, but after that it stretches to be so comfortable. The material isn't scratchy or anything, which is a plus.

I love this bra, it is SO comfortable.

Strictly speaking, the cup is too wide, but it is still very comfortable for me. It is very nice as a lounging bra and it hugs your boobs very nicely.

Last week I was sick and I wore this bra exclusively! I was happy that I was finally using my sports bra!

This bra is also one of my traveling bras http://www.bratabase.com/list/b4x/ so it was perfect for long days out traveling in Japan https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_mrgreen.gif" alt=":D" /> super comfortable boobs abroad.

It is also very good for cold weather since the cups are on the thick side.

I love the pink colorway! The band on this one feels a bit more firm than my grey 36H - Panache Sport ยป Sports Bra (5021) which is great for me since I usually wear 32/ 34 bands!
I recommend going up 1 band size and down 1-2 cups in this bra!

    Didn't fit

34H was clearly too small in cups and band. The combination of too small cups and too small band made it unbearable. I got some overspill on top and on the sides. With racer-back option it prevented bouncing best (compared to 36H and 38H) but I could barely breathe in it. (For the records I usually wear a 32K/KK in Panache)

    About the bra in general:
    + It is beyond comfortable!
+ Padded wire channels / wide shoulder straps
+ Band is wide and supportive
    + racer-back option
+ very nice round shape (not the dreaded flat boob shape)
+ good for lighter activities or lounging

    - limited size range (If there was 34J / 34JJ, I think that would be my "proper" size)
    - it does limit bouncing somewhat but I doubt I'd go jogging with this bra or do heavy impact activity https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_confused.gif" alt=":S" />
    - gore does not tack (in any of the sizes I tried)

36H is a good fit in band and cups. Maybe the band could be a tiny ... bit smaller and the cups a bit bigger. But I won't complain, 36H is as good as it gets. Very comfortable and supportive. Uplifted round shape. I have worn this bra a lot since I got it. I love it! It's my favourite everyday bra now. I mostly wear it at home, don't do any exercise in it. What I like is that it gives me a round shape under t-shirt and looks like a wear a regular bra, so I can also go out with it. Could not get the gore to tack though. Don't know if it is supposed to.

My shape: soft, deflated, full on bottom with tall shallow top, measure to 36E

    Pros:
    - Supportive and hold everything in place for exercise/activities
    - Very high quality material and construction. Soft mesh, absorbs sweat.

    Cons:
    - The cups are tall, so I don't fill them out even though I went down a cup size. Well known issue with this bra.
    - It shows above my shirt necklines and around the shoulders as it is full coverage. I don't mind.

I originally bought this style in a 38DD, since the band runs tight, but the cups were way too tall. I can wear either size to work out.

The Panache Sport is the most effective and comfortable sports bra I have tried. It is stellar quality and very well designed, with a wide, cushioned band, underwires encased in neoprene and cushioned mesh straps with a J-hook racerback attachment.

I previously owned the same bra in a 28GG, and I found it to be a weird fit. It felt too small and uncomfortable, and I got in-cup quadboob above the wired gore, yet there was still a bit of extra space in the upper front of the cup. I wasn't sure whether to go up or down in cup size. The 28H does have a fair ... bit of extra space in the same spot, but the gore tacks better and it is more comfortable. I was concerned that the wires would be too wide in a 28H, but they're not much wider than the 28GG, and the wire width is not bothersome. Somehow, it is still very effective at controlling bounce despite the extra bit of room in the cup.

I ranked the bra appearance as only "okay" because I got this bra secondhand in a particularly vile shade of Barbie pink. The bra itself is an attractive design, and I find some of the other colourways quite attractive.

This bra fits me well overall. I weat it to run, it keeps my breast in place and reduces bouncing. The underwire is padded and very comfortable, I don't even feel them. Even if the size seems to be right, the underwire does not sit flat at my sternum.
The band size is normal so 30 is OK for me, it's also wide enough so it doesn't show back fat...
The straps can be attached at the middle, wich gives better support but it makes the straps very uncomfortable at the shoulders. There is not a lot of room to adjust the straps, which are a little bit too long for me, but that can be altered easily.
This bra gives my boob a great shape and lift, but the seams show under my t-shirts.

Surprisingly comfortable for a sports bra! It feels very supportive, but also just as comfortable as a regular bra. I haven't yet tried vigorous sports with it, but jumping/running in place, and rock climbing, so far have been a success. I love that the straps can convert to a racer-back, though this can cause some discomfort in the armpits. It also shows through shirts MUCH less than my last sports bra.

After teens of workouts I can finally write a review. My sports are jogging and fitness, so lots of jumping.
The bra is extremely comfortable. I love to wear it as everyday bra too. Straps are soft, the band is wide under the cups, so there is no wrinkling the finishing tape (which can happen in bras with band made of 2 parts). After haveing it 3 months and wearing it every day when I workout and 2 times a week when I didn't workout the band is just the same tightness as it was at the days of buying.
What I love about it is that it is a ... sports bra, but gives me quite nice shape and it separates my breast (no squishing and compressing). The bridge does not lie flat, but as the brafitter said, it is normal in this model.
The one thing I don't like in this bra is the special racerback option. It hurts me on my neck/shoulders even when it is super loose, so I think I'm just not compatibile with that option.
As a binus I can say that after 2 weeks of fitness workouts and 1 week of jogging my boobd become shorter and thicker. They are more and more filled at the top, and in most of my currently own bras I have spillage on the top of the cup.

This is my first underwired sports bra and I absolutely LOVE it! I have always struggled to find a good sports bra, no more compression bras for me! The Panache Sport gives incredible support. I mean, incredible. I could hang upside-down right now and my girls wouldn't go ANYwhere. I use it to go to the gym, but any physical activity or sport can be handled by this bra.

The straps have the option to clasp in the back, but the straps are too short for me to do that comfortably.

I bought it in 30FF before I correctly sized myself at 30G. While I can squeeze myself into it, a 30G would probably fit me better. I find that it cuts into my front armpit/breast tissue area, especially when I clasp the straps racerback style. The center gore also lifts off my chest very slightly. I believe this is due to my wearing the wrong size, not fault with the bra.

    I will trade anyone for a 30G!

This is my holy grail of sports bras.

On a practical and functional level, it works. Oh boy does it work. No bouncing (well, as little as possible. Physics still exist, no matter what bra you wear), no suffocating. No smooshing my poor breasts into my chest and armpits and pretending like that was how it had to be. Just firm but comfortable support.

The best part, though, has to be how GOOD this bra looks while being practical. The bra itself is lackluster. I have the plain black one. It looks like a plain black sports bra with some fancy meshing on it. Not ugly, just nothing exciting. Which is fine, and exactly how I want it. But the good part comes with the shape and silhouette this bra gives you. Perfect, round, perky, and smooth. No weird pointiness. Just natural-yet-sexy. Not something you'd ever expect with a sports bra.

I had very high hopes for this bra given all of the hype about it. I was lucky enough to try it on at a store in a 30F (which didn't fit). The saleswomen assured me that one cup size down would be enough, but alas, it was not quite. I should have ordered a 28E instead of a 30E.

Pros: This is the most comfortable bra I have probably ever worn: the straps don't dig in, the underwires rest nicely against my sternum without poking, and the band is SO soft. There is no monoboob or east-west look with this bra. I get a front and center, ... separated, perky shape in this bra. Also, the straps are close set, so it isn't necessary to hook them in the back to get them to stay up!

Cons: I would say the cups and band run large. So unless you are a very full __, order down a cup and band size (you can always pick up a band extender from WalMart - way easier than taking in the band!) So, a 32DD would order a 30DD or 32D. The straps have some stretch, which is not something I like in a sports bra, especially since they are already too long when tightened all they way. The wires are such that you cannot bend them differently - they are not stiff enough to hold the new shape. Finally, after wearing it for a while, it feels as though the bra is pushing down on the top of my breasts instead of supporting me from beneath.

Even though it isn't suitable for high-impact, it is great for days when I will be moving around/sweating a lot. (I would say it is medium impact.) Also, it gives me a great shape and profile beneath my event t-shirts (those shapeless, baggy, unisex shirts that you get, usually for free, for attending events).

What I wouldn't give if Panache would expand this size range! Despite the fit issues (which are to be expected, wearing a too small size), I love this bra. Not only is it supportive enough that I've been able to take up running for the first time ever, it's super cute to boot. Great rounded shape under even tight fitting running shirts and pretty enough to be seen on it's own. (Not that I plan on whipping off my shirt in public any time soon. Maybe after I finish my first 5k!)

As lots of others have noted, this bra is made with comfort in mind. Cushy, wide straps ... and some kind of magical underwires - steel clouds (strong but soft). The racerback clip works great for me (extra support and easy to fasten/unfasten) and strap length & placement works well for me (5'9" with narrowish shoulders and high set boobs, for reference). I do have to limit how long I wear this however (3-4hrs max) because the compression (from wearing a too small cup size) causes achey, sore breasts. It's a compromise I'm willing to live with given the lack of availability in J-K sports bras and let's be honest, I'm not exercising for 4 hrs at a time.

*Update: I've worn this bra to exercise 4-5 times a week for the last 5 months, hand washing it after each wear. Just remeasured it and the band has only stretched maybe a half an inch! Still love this bra.
