  1. Sf Kobalt Bra (1275)

SF Kobalt is a blue laced bra with beige lining. The SF style is labeled as semi soft or half padded which is not the case at all. The SF style is not padded, but the material used in the lower half is stiffer and thicker than normal unlined bras, giving it a bit more support & less jiggle than the BM and SM styles offered by Ewa. Personally, while I love most Ewa styles, the SF is one of my favorites. The upper lace area is always stretchy, allowing for fluctuations in size and asymmetry.

In the 60KK, the cups actually consist of 5 sections, 3 lower ... vertical sections, 1 horizontal upper lace, and an outer triangle (rhombus) section that connects the cups to the straps securely. The band comes standard with 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops.

The band measures big at 23.5” flat to 29.5” stretched. The cup depth measures conservative flat (hovered between the knees with the tape measure just placed into the cups without any resistance) at 12.5” and stretches over the knee to a max of 15.” The width is 6” and the height is 9” tall, with the gore at .5” wide and 4.25” tall for this one.

Overall, the bra is quite beautiful in color. The cups fit perfectly full with a soft tack. The band is comfy on the tightest hooks. The straps are too wide set, but all the SFs come this way. In all reality, I feel it’s more an issue of the cup curve being too straight and cutting into the armpit area instead of rounding the corner comfortably. If this curve was lower/more rounded, I don’t feel the straps would be an issue at all.

I knew the band was going to be extremely small based on the measurements, but I figured, eh. Let's try. I wasn't wrong. The band is extremely small. A true 28 band I feel. I think the size of the band makes the cups appear/feel smaller than they are, but I still get quite a bit of quadding regardless.

Band is way too small. Fits on par with a true to size 28 band, which I am not.
    Cups are too small too.

Super soft like it's 60L cousin. This one is too small (I figured it would be haha, but I felt I'd try it anyway!) In the cups. Band felt a little snug. Wideset straps.

Round, uplifted shape. My breasts seem too soft for this one for some reason. Wideset straps aren't helping me any. Quadding as well. The band felt okay. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

Not much difference between the KK and L is there? More open on top but that's about it. :-/

    • 1

Yep. That's what I'd say. The L fit a little better though :p

    • 1

Agreed and same with me. I was just surprised how little difference there really was between the two sizes.

    • 1

Seems to be the conundrum as of late. Hardly any difference between the S sizes and your two Iris Sf's too :/

    • 1

I didn't even try on the 60KK SF since none of my other 60KKs fit any longer, but yes measurement wise, not much of a difference between the 60KKs and 60L SFs in general. Yet they do fit differently due to the construction of the cups.

Cups are too small. Wires felt pretty firm, as did the band. I didn't feel like the band had much give.
I love the lace detail more in person. The nude underlayment actually pairs nicely with my skin, and I kind of feel like I'm in love. It's absolutely gorgeous.

Antonina is so beautiful isn't it? 😍
You ordered it in a 60L from Magda, right?

    • 1

It looks like this band is a great fit. It is awesome that you are narrowing down what really works for you!

    • 1

MamaPagan, yes I did! I'm STOKED. I hope my band runs a little bigger 🙃🤣

@veggiechic isn't it weird how photos can receive sometimes? The band is actually quite firm. I doubt I'd be able to (comfortably) wear it for an extended time ;)
      And I agree. It's wonderful!

    • 1

Have an extender on hand just in case you get TTS 60s. That way you could at least get some wear out of them.

    • 1

      Absolutely! :)

Looks a little odd with my nips just doing their thing. They're kinda get squeezed due to the lack of fabric space ha.

  10. Sf Trapez (908)

    SF Trapez in 60KK

SF Trapez is classified as a Semi Soft bra (aka Semi Padded), though it has no padding what so ever. The logic is that the material is stiffer, and thus EM considers this padded, which it clearly is not. If you are looking for a padded bra, this is not for you. If you are looking for a supportive bra, then this one is perfect for you. Aside from the misleading description of the SF bras on EM’s website, this bra style is quite nice. The color on the cups is a plum or reddish purple with grey cross lines, and the lace is more ... of a violet purple. Personally, I don’t feel these two purples blend well together. The upper lace is stretchy which allows for fluctuations in fullness as well as asymmetry.

While this is a Ewa Michalak bra, it is actually produced under their Effuniak label, which does explain some minor differences between this and my other SF style bras by Ewa.

The band measures 22.25” and stretches to a max of 28.5”. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops, which seems to be standard for Ewa bras in the upper cup range. Per Ewa’s site, the band runs rather loose, but at 28.5” max stretch, this is not the case for this particular bra.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 12”

2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 14”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

The cups are constructed in 5 sections, with 3 lower vertical, 1 upper outer wedge in the same material and the upper inner horizontal lace section. The height at the center of the cup is 9”.

The straps are wide set like most Ewa bras. The color of the straps is closer to the lace than the cups, in a deep violet color.

The center gore is set at .625” wide, with a height of 4”. The wires touch on the top then overlap mid-gore before separating into the cups. The wing is 5” and the wires are 6.25” from top to top. The oddity with these wires is that they don’t form the standard U but more of a lazy U that flares out a bit under the armpit area. Sort of a cross between a U and a V or J. Also, the wire does not fill the chamber, which allows for the wire to semi float throughout the day. For me, this type of wire & chamber setup can cause pressure point pain under the armpit by the end of the day. Hopefully this one will not be the same. I also know that when the wire floats in the chamber, it increases the likelihood of the wire escaping the chamber as well. The wire is 1cm shorter than the chamber.

Overall, while I do like this one, I don’t like it as much as my other SF styles. I love the support and separating I get from the SF style, as it’s something I don’t get from my other bras, which all seem to push my breasts together. Some days you just don’t want eye popping cleavage, and the SF style is perfect for those days.

Update 11/25/18: I pulled this one out of storage to try the fit again. I am at hi tide, about the fullest point of the month for me, so I opted to add new photos to compare. My breasts have grown a bit since I first got this one, but hi tide makes it even worse. Can't get my boobs in the bottom of the cup (only could at low tide when it fit anyway) and a lot of quadding on top of the cup. :-/ Back into storage for this one.

  12. Pl Dark Magenta (1048)

    PL Dark Magenta 60KK

PL Dark Magenta is a padded plunge bra in black with gorgeous purple lace accents. It comes with light foam lined cups, as well as removable pads for asymmetry. The cookie pockets for the pads are sewn completely into the cups, like the S style, compared to the CHP which are only sewn on the bottom of the cup.

The band measures 22.4” to a max stretch of 28.75”. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops which seem to be the standard for the larger cup range.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure ... into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 12.25”

The height at the center of the cup is 8.625” making more of a full coverage cup. It consists of 4 sections, 3 lower vertical and 1 upper horizontal section. As with S Zielonny Pieprzyk 60L, this bra came with smaller cookies in comparison to the cookie pockets and the other Ewa bras I have. While I don’t use them, I know this is worth noting since many of you do use them and might be in for a shock as these cookies wouldn’t give the coverage that other ones do.

The straps are *not* stretchy. At first I thought it was just stiff material, and then I realized the straps themselves are the same elastic stretchy straps, but that they had sewn the ribbon onto the straps while the straps were unstretched! This means that the elastic can only stretch as far as the darn ribbon, which in this case is not at all. Since the ribbon covers the whole length of the strap, it makes it difficult to adjust the strap, and at any setting other than too loose, the straps are too stiff to be comfortable. With a bit of sewing skill, I can remove this ribbon and re-sew it on partially with the straps stretched, making the ribbon similar to my Zielony.

The center gore is set at .625” wide which seems to be about standard, and has a height of 3.25”. The wing is 4.75” and the wires are 6.2” from top to top.

  13. Bm Bibi Fuksja (764)

    BM Bibi Fuksja in 60KK

BM Bibi Fuksja is a black half lace BM bra with purple trim and accents. This one comes with the standard 4 sections to the cup, 2 lower vertical ones, an upper horizontal, and an outer wedge section that connects the straps to the cup. As with all the BMs, the upper lace section is always stretch lace.

The band measures 23.5” to a max of 29” and has 3 hooks with 4 rows of eye loops.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 12.5”

2 ... Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 15.5”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

The half lace BMs are my bra bliss, so this one is super comfortable and an altogether perfect fit. I have found so far that the half lace BMs are consistent in their sizing and cup formation, which is nice.
