This bra no longer fits me because my breasts have grown but when it was in my size, I found the bra to be kind of shallow and minimizing. however, the design is very nice even though it shows through clothes very easily.
Have I mentioned how much I like this bra? I bought both the Scarlet/Chilli, and this colourway (Orchid/Purple) because I couldn't choose between them/they were on sale, anyways. I feel like this one is slightly bigger in the top than the other, which doesn't really work in the favour of my smaller breast, but it's pretty minor. Other than that, pretty much the same as my other Curvy Kate Princess Balcony Bra (CK6001)
Okay, so I might be slightly in love with this bra. I wasn't expecting it to be a soft cup bra, but now that I've tried it on, and it's not horribly baggy on me, like most soft cups I try, I'm kinda digging it. I love the vibrant, seductive reds, and the translucent mesh tops. My only complaint would be that I kind of have to adjust the placement of my nipples so that they're under the seam, instead of on full display. Also, the straps again. There's also a slight itchiness about it, that I'm hoping goes away with wear and washing. I'm planning on wearing this one to work tomorrow, more in-depth analysis then.
First things first: This bra is so, so very comfortable. The band has a lot of stretch to it, but seems to stay in place despite my sub-28 ribcage (I've only tried it on at this point for reasons which will be outlined below). The materials are all very soft, including the mesh band and outside lining of the cups, which also has lovely lime-green and ivory accents that aren't terribly clear in some of the modeled photos I've seen. I can't imagine a more comfortable longline.
The cups are half-cups like those typical of Freya's, with uplifting two-vertical-seams construction.
However, the cups run much larger than the Curvy Kates ...I've tried on before (I could wear a 28GG in most of them) and larger than Freya's longline cups (I wear a 28FF in those with the best possible results). Thus I'm inclined to believe the hype that Curvy Kate has, indeed, designed some of their newer models with less-shallow cups in mind. The wires still seem very wide, though--too wide for my breasts.
I don't consider myself particularly shallow, though my breasts are firm and largely self-supporting. The cup height is about 5.5" as measured along the outside center of the cups, though the bra appears to come up way too high on my high-set, short-rooted breasts.
I may exchange this to try it in a 28F, as both the wires seem too wide and the cups too deep. Perhaps this will fix my issues! Read more 134 more words
Not a good fit for me. First, the cup seems to run small and cut into my breast tissue, giving major inner quad boob. Cups are very, very wide. I felt like it made my boobs point at 45 degree angles out and away.
This bra is so incredibly comfortable! The straps are heavenly, made of a very soft, stretchy-enough material that I wish I could find in other bras.
Unfortunately, the fit is just not right for me. The cups are extremely shallow and probably two sizes too small for my averagely-projected breasts, and the wires are very wide. This would definitely be better suited for a person with considerably more shallow breasts.
But the cleavage is amazing! And, again, I cannot reiterate enough how comfortable this is.
My biggest complaint about this bra is that like my other Curvy Kate Tease Me (28F) the band is loose. I still will wear this bra because its wearable even with how loose the band is.
I am reviewing the purple/black colour. This bra is nice, I love the slightly Gothic feel which comes together nicely in the bra design. The cups do not seem to run very small, if at all. I am generally wearing 28F for Curvy Kate 2013 padded bras, and if this bra ran small, it would have fit me a bit better, instead of gaping quite a bit at the top. I find that the 3 hooks are quite supportive, it's comfortably loose and my ribcage is 24 inches (this is just a personal preference. I need a much tighter band with 2 hooks). The straps are placed very far apart, unfortunately, and this bra isn't wearable for me quite yet due to the gaping, but I may add in push up bras to enhance the looks!
Update: The cups do run a bit small, perhaps half a cup on this particular colour.
I already have a thrill me in 28F, but it is too smal one tird of the month, before and during my periodsl. So I bought this bra in 28FF, on a bratabase listing. The size is good on my bigger breast, but I have gapping at the top of the cup on my smaller side. I don't have a lot of cleavage in this size, and I am totally ok with that. My biggest fitting issue with this bra is the center gore that is way too wide for me. But I just have to alter it, like I did with the thrill me, and the bra will fit !
edit : finally, this bra is too big in the cups and too tight in the band, and I have re-sell it .
The bra, first of all, is a stunner. It's satin overlay and lace detail is incredibly sexy: it's impossible to not feel sexy in this. I mistakenly ordered this in one size too big from my measured size of 28F, but there are no gaping problems (only when I hunch forward). In fact, on my bigger breast, it gives me a slight quadraboob. The underwires are definitely wide as they reach all the way under the armpit, but it isn't uncomfortable.
The band seemed a little tighter on this one and cups were a little small. The wire was a little wide for my shape. It would be a beautiful bra for someone.
This is actually a transfer from the reviewer above, lol. I agree with everything she said, it's very comfortable, particularly the center gore. Straps are a bit wide but are soft/satiny so at least it's not scratchy against my skin. I have a 28G CK Tease Me where the cups are wayyyy to tall so I didn't want to take the chance on this one.
This bra is one you might want to try in a cup size up (and maybe a band size down) because it fits quite shallow. The wires are average-wide.
The purple and black colour combination works really well, and this is a bra you can show off if you like to, I found the lace to be okay for under t shirts but I know some other women find that it shows too much for their liking.
The band is thick with a 3 hook fastening, unusual for bras in this size and a really good feature in my opinion. The straps are also wide, making this a very comfortable bra.
I had some quadboob on the left side for this so I should probably size up. Very wide shallow cups that flattened me out. I didn't really like the shape under clothing.
I wanted a basic daily bra and thus I placed the order for the CK Daily Boost. It ended up being nothing but disappointments for me I'm afraid. The quality is decent and the bra looks sturdy. I am not a fan of the look of the bra personally, the grey trim really throws me off, but it would work as a good every day bra.
Unfortunately this bra was way too small for me, cutting in to the breast tissue and creating a big bulge at the armpit. Had I enjoyed the look of the bra I might have sized up but I decided that in the end it was not for me.
I really, really, REALLY want the Curvy Kate Princess to work for me. I really do. I am going to keep and wear this bra, but it isn't a perfect bra for my shape. The full review can be found over at my blog!
The midnight blue tempt me is absolutely gorgeous! I love the colour. I would like to point out some inconsistencies with the sizing. The "height" of the blue cups are the same as the height of the coral cups, but there is more "depth" and it is slightly rounder- not flatter. The blue is "wider" comparable most similar in width to their older sizes in 28G. So this means you don't need to go up as many cups, and you'll get a better fit because the cups will not be as high.
