Venting here. Perplexed.
I received my second Juna bra in the mail today. I own a 28DD Juna (in Strawberry color) and I find the cups to be too short. They allow tissue to escape everywhere, and as the band stretches throughout the day I get armpit rolls and/or quad boob. Since the band is so stretchy but ... the cups are tight, I decided to order another Juna (in Nude), this time in 28E. As soon as I took it out of its packaging I began to worry, because it feels large, and its much heavier in weight than my Strawberry Juna. The 28E band doesn't feel anything like my other 28 bands (in Panache, Freya, and Cleo). I measured the band, and I put the two Juna bras side to side, and the 28 band looks like the proper length for the 28 size, but it has no "tightness". When I clip it, it doesn't feel like its "hugging" my body. I wear my first Juna on the very first hook setting, or the second at most. With this new Juna I hooked it on the tightest setting right away, and there's no grip or uplift. Also, the cup straps are MUCH longer than on the 28DD, and even though I've tightened them as far as possible, they're going to slip with this flimsy-feeling band.
Is there a known quality control issue with this brand, or is this to be expected when going up a cup size? Could I have gotten a "fake" somehow? My first Juna was straight from Figleaves in UK, but I purchased the 28E from a retailer on Amazon. The bra tags look legit, though.
The E cups fit better than the DDs, especially because they are higher on the sides, but they gape in front when I cross my arms...The gaping isn't enough to "expose" me, and I don't think it would happen (at least not to a noticeable degree) if the band was tight enough. Just crossing my arms forces the band to slip! The E cups fit me in a way I prefer for my squishiness...I get good breast lift and coverage, sans "milkmaid" jiggle. The bra looks wonderful under a t-shirt...so rounded and not saggy at all. Overall, I love the bra...I'm just upset about the loose band. I have a Rixie clip, but who wants to wear one of those? I don't understand why one 28 band could be nearly too small, while another is too big?

It isn't uncommon for different colors of the same style to fit differently. As you observed, the fabric feels different. I know that doesn't help you, though.
Perhaps the Juna isn't the right bra for your body? I got an ok fit in the Juna (the gore is simply too tall for me, as are the wires under my arms). I can wear it, and I get great lift, but it is uncomfortable after a few hours and I have gaping around the top edges.
If the Cleo line works for you, perhaps try another style?
Thanks! Yes, I like the Cleo line BECAUSE of the tall wires. They minimize armpit rolls, which I'm trying very hard to eliminate. (It's working!) I love the fit of the Juna's cups, I'm just disappointed that the band doesn't have any grip. I have an Alexa in 28E as well, and the band has great grip and it doesn't move on my body at all. I moved the straps over on my Alexa to accomodate wrinkling in the cups (I should have gotten a 28DD but the 28E was on sale), but Alexa's wires and band are perfect. I have a couple of 32 band bras that work for me because their bands are so firm, it seems odd that a 28 should be so flimsy. I would never have guessed that different colored fabric could make such a difference in fit. This bra journey never ends! :-)
