I. Love. Comexim!
Just got my first Comexim bra, the basic, wore it all day and it was seriously comfortable! I'll be posting the fit with pictures soon. Great little experiment

This is a short rant.
I'm ticked off by some people who, after finding out their size, absolutely adamant about not wanting to shop online for their size, especially when their size is not even available in brick and mortar store, just because they don't want to deal with returning.
I get it if there's tax involved (I'm still surprised by how ... much Americans and Canadians get ripped off by tax. That ish expensive!), but surely there must be a way for you to avoid the tax (not buying in bulk amounting to over the tax-free limit, End of Thinking Capacity).
They insist on trying on their "sister size", which is 3-4 sizes off. And then get frustrated when nothing fits right. And then they rant wahwahwah my size is so hard to find wahwahwah. Hello? You'll be saved from this frustration if you just have a little patience to deal with online shopping. Yes, it can be expensive, I have discussed it in my previous bra adventure. But once you've figured out what works, or remotely works for you, then it'll be smooth sailing from there.
I'm sure there are other reasons behind this, psychological one or not. But still. There.
Dang it, bra. It's 7am in the morning and I'm already thinking about these things.

I sympathize completely. I can't tell you how many people I have come across who complain of their cup size or how their bra size can't be found and must be custom made or they're bras are so painful. It's so irritating! I'm a good 7 cups larger than the majority of these people and yet I have no problem! I GLADLY shop online because of the great variety I have. Yes, I'm a 28JJ, so I have my own problems with shopping online, but I have better luck with comfort and fit by doing so.
This happens all the time and not just for bras! There are plenty of people who like to complain about their situation, yet when you give them suggestions, they do not take it nor do they do anything to change their situation! It frustrates me to no end!
I'm a pretty blunt person so when someone does that I'll just tell her to live in ill-fitting bras forever!

Does any bra company make a racerback bra in small bands/large cups? The last one I was able to find was a Josie By Natori bra but that was like a 32DD so nope, too small. Summer is coming up, and I like wearing shirts which have that kind of back (would you call it "racerback"? idk), and ... they look bad with regular bra straps.
Would I just be better off looking for a decent strapless bra? Most (all?) racerback bras have a front closure so maybe they are like unicorns in larger sizes, they just don't exist.

I'm off to bed, but, multiway bras or racerback clips is what I would recommend.
I just use a normal bra and one of these connector clips

Apart from having a round rib cage where your sides are almost as wide as your front profile and your ribcage curves horizontally there is this other way of bones affecting bra fitting;
If your ribcage curves vertically.
If your ribcage curves vertically you will give the illusion of having larger boobs than you actually have.
First we look at ... some users without this shape:
Vee and alisa in Alexa 28J. You can see it here: http://www.bratabase.com/browse/cleo/alexa-6631/28J/pictures/ From the shoulders their ribcages goes pretty much straight down until the boobs starts and then the boobs projects.
But now look at me http://sphotos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/58706_10151229722745540_1290406109_n.jpg Even if boobs not really is in the picture my ribcage still projects. I have a couple of centimeters projection for free.
And here with the @34H S Fresh http://sphotos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/531568_10151502207295540_471013976_n.jpg It's kind of impossible to tell where my boobs even starts.
But really it is bones that projects above the glandular tissue.
Now let's compare Georgina Horne and Curvy Wordy: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ywMt0tPbRAw/UT_AiLzXaXI/AAAAAAAAD1c/dNawYZNJzZY/s1600/EvansShapeStudioScarlettJo01.jpg
Down to Curvys boobs there's a pretty straight line where's Georgina is curved all the way. This makes her boobs look larger than Curvys. It's because of the bones on top of Georginas boobs. Projection for free. Lift her boobs higher and she would get torpedo boobs. (Oh and I have looked at a large portion of pics of the two and it's not just because of a bra or because of posture)
Large boobs can give the illusion of a vertically curved ribcage. A vertically curved ribcage can give the illusion of larger boobs, especially under clothing.
So here's how you know;
Stand in profile without a bra with a straight posture. Look at if the ribcage before the boobs starts is vertical or more curved.
You can bet that with this ribcage when the gore tacks, it attacks.

I'm starting to think that the only way to get an accurate measurement of one's 3-dimensional body is to be cast in plaster.
drownedsalad :D Sort of.

Unless I've misunderstood, Bratabase isn't the only bra measurement database out there, right? I think there was a German one and maybe a Polish one somewhere? If that's the case, why don't the bra manufacturers provide these measurements? Women clearly want them and use them. That would also remove some of the human-error-related disparity in things like stretched band length. ...
On Freshpair, under the Cleo Lucy they provided strap width, wing height, and gore width (at the bottom, I think? 2"/5cm seems pretty wide to me). Does anybody know whether those measurements are from Freshpair or from Panache? I'd prefer they gave cup width and depth, haha, but at least it's something.

well i believe delibrately bra manufacturers are not doing this. may they have any concern for providing the data.
Jj Can you make some addition in this site. Like make bra manufacturer corner only. and invite them to provide their input in bra issue and bra measurments.
But they would ask you to give space for advertisement.. but plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
i beg you... dont allow advertisements on this site.
You are running perfectly and there add will make this fussy..
In general manufacturers of garments will not want to provide exact measurements for all their sizes and styles as that would be to give away their sizing system, grading and cut, it would essentially make it super-easy for another company to start making the exact same product without needing to invest all that money in the product.
It's a bit like giving away the thing that makes you money.

That fit, anyway.
So far I've settled for just wearing the one bralette I own, which as anyone knows, provides no support whatsoever.
I'm also not sure if I should go ahead and purchase some sort of bra or another, since I'm not sure how much my breasts will change as the pregnancy progresses.
Also, wearing my current bras only add to my ... nausea! I'm quite worried that I might be one of those women whose nausea carries on for full 9 months, and I'm not sure why the bra is making me nauseous... It shouldn't be the band, since I actually lost a couple centimeters (from 60-61 to 59-60) on my underbust measurement, so I'm wondering if it's the wires? Would getting a bigger cup fix my problem or is the pressure from the wires themselves just giving me trouble?

Maybe that Braologie modular thing isn't a bad idea, you get two cupsizes in one and two bandsizes, so that could solve size fluctuations for the time being?
Their bands are crazy comfortable and wires won't hurt you for sure.
And I'm sure you wouldn't have trouble selling it afterwards :)
And don't worry, once you hit the third month the nausea will go away. In the meantime try adding some ginger to your tea and water :)
I have found that certain underwires where the gore goes up too high and digs into my chest aggravates my heartburn. Maybe the same thing is happening to you? :(

Me not happy I own 4 Panache sport bras in 28FF but I think they´re now too tight in the band!
When I bought these, 30F was too loose in the band and too small in the cups. It felt tight and kind of smashed my boobs, it wasn´t easy to breathe. But when I put ... it on with the cups on the wrong side, under my boobs, the band felt too loose. Even wearing the bra correctly I could easily fasten it to the tightest hooks. So I think I´m right to say 30F had too big band and too small cups.
I was happy to wear 28FF for a while but now something has happened. The bands don´t get looser, but they feel tighter! I have started to do some weight-lifting excercises, but I haven´t done them many times! I don´t think I´ve gained weight.
Maybe I should use extenders, does anyone know where I could get ones thet are suitable for this 3 hooks fastener?
If I´m allowed to advertise my listed bras, I´d like to state that I have 2 Panache sport bras for sale and I lowered their prizes to 22e (30E) and 20e (30DD).

Shipping is included if it is not over 5e, and the bras are in very good condition, one is like a new one! I hope to sell them because I cannot wear those sizes

You can get 3-hook extenders off ebay (shipped from China) for $1. Lots of colours are available.
Excercise does all sorts of things to the body: apart from burning calories and building muscle it affects your posture and even the way you breath. Thinks like standing up straighter and breathing deeper -- both potential side effects of improved shape -- affect the way bras fit. Also, even though it may not be directly noticeable, the muscles in your (upper) back may have 'firmed up' more than you think, taking some of the 'squish' out of your body. Some people respond much more to certain types of excercise than others. It may very well be that even if your 'fully exhaled, comfortably snug' underbust measurement hasn't significantly changed, your body may have changed enough that the tighter bands you used to wear simply don't fit you comfortably anymore.

oh noooo, temptation!
Ive heard of standing up, leaning forward, lying on your back, and measuring around each boob. Which is the most accurate way to measure? I wish bra manufacturers would make this easier!

As a 28JJ, leaning over and taking that measurement is the most accurate. I have really soft tissue breasts, so standing hardly gets the accurate measurement for myself. I'm sure it's different for a lot of women.
BralessinBrasil touches on this with her underbust survey: http://www.bralessinbrasil.com/2012/03/underbust-survey-part-4-bust-variation.html

I don't know if anyone else here has had negative experiences with HerRoom.com or not, but I will NEVER buy anything from them again. Let this serve as a warning to anyone else here considering a purchase from HerRoom to try multiple bras!
I recently placed two orders for bras in varying sizes. I have done this MANY times ... before from other online retailers, as I'm sure many of the ladies here have. It's common practice with bras because we all know different styles can require a different band/cup size even amongst the same manufacturer! At any rate, I kept some bras that fit and returned the bras which didn't. In BOTH orders, I got an email from HerRoom informing me that at least one of the bras I returned was not new but in "previously worn" condition. That is BULLSHIT. I tried them on after being freshly showered! I didn't remove the tags. I repackaged them in the original plastic bags.
I would like to reiterate that I have never had this problem with any other online retailer, and I have purchased bras from Bare Necessities, Figleaves, and Fresh Pair. ALL of my returns of tried-on-but-unworn bras to those other places have NEVER been rejected for appearing to have been "not new" or "previously worn" condition.
The cherry on top of this crap sundae from HerRoom is that they want to CHARGE me shipping to return the "previously worn" bras to me! The other alternative is that they will donate them to Salvation Army. Yeah, I'm sure they will - and will be happy to take the tax write off for themselves.
All I can say is to avoid HerRoom at all costs. They have a VERY shoddy business going on as far as returns of bras go!

Good warning! That's some seriously fucked up shit... I've never heard this about HerRoom before but I've always had a bad gut feeling about them.
This is terrible. Sounds petty, but I would publicly shame them (ie write on their fb and tweet) and I would be talking to someone high up.

Id love to know how they compare to EM.
Darn. I may have to send them another email to try again to order. They didn't answer my first one.
