Mar 19, 2013 - User vs manufacturer provided measurements

Unless I've misunderstood, Bratabase isn't the only bra measurement database out there, right? I think there was a German one and maybe a Polish one somewhere? If that's the case, why don't the bra manufacturers provide these measurements? Women clearly want them and use them. That would also remove some of the human-error-related disparity in things like stretched band length.

On Freshpair, under the Cleo Lucy they provided strap width, wing height, and gore width (at the bottom, I think? 2"/5cm seems pretty wide to me). Does anybody know whether those measurements are from Freshpair or from Panache? I'd prefer they gave cup width and depth, haha, but at least it's something.

  • well i believe delibrately bra manufacturers are not doing this. may they have any concern for providing the data.

Jj Can you make some addition in this site. Like make bra manufacturer corner only. and invite them to provide their input in bra issue and bra measurments.
But they would ask you to give space for advertisement.. but plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
i beg you... dont allow advertisements on this site.
You are running perfectly and there add will make this fussy..

  • In general manufacturers of garments will not want to provide exact measurements for all their sizes and styles as that would be to give away their sizing system, grading and cut, it would essentially make it super-easy for another company to start making the exact same product without needing to invest all that money in the product.

It's a bit like giving away the thing that makes you money.
