I realized recently that I have NO fitting non-padded bras, so I wanted to remedy that. I tried Cleo Lucy in the past in 28G, which seemed fair but the gore was too wide and I didn't like the partial band. I figured that I do have some upper fullness (but I am still full on bottom), so maybe Marcie/similar ... cuts would work out.... so I decided to try the one I liked the most, Cleo Melissa! I ordered 30FF and 30F on Nordstrom online because I know I can return them. I know I need 28 bands (I measure 26.5" underbust, so 30 is quite a stretch), but I figured this would help me figure out if I needed 28FF or 28G.
So I tried the 30FF first. It seems to fit almost great (on the tightest hook, of course)... but the lace at the top is slightly gaping. I know this happens when women who are not full on top wear this cut. It also gives a weird shape underneath THIN shirts, but a totally fine, rounded shape under regular t-shirts or a shirt with a cami underneath.
The 30F doesn't gape at all... and is cutting in on both sides with the top lace, just a little bit. The side wires also seem a bit too short... Which is coming from someone who is 5'1 and very petite! Go figure. Looking in the mirror, it just gives the appearance that I'm wearing a bra way too small for me, not enough coverage, but I'm not busting out. I wish it were just a more obvious "this one fits, this one does not", I guess!
I guess I'll have to take a picture of the 30FF to let the masses help me figure out if the gaping is really enough that the cup is too big, or if it's manageable. I even think I may be able to alter that top part slightly so the lace lays flat, but obviously I am not going to try with a bra I am automatically returning.
I'd really like to make the cleo melissa work for me! It's so lovely and comfortable!

From what I read, the Cleos with the stretchy upper lace part differ on how loose the lace is... so if (sadly!) the Melissa doesn't work for you, one of the other styles might. I think a 28 band might also change how the cup is built and rests on your boobs, so it might not be an hopeless case!
Thanks! I do have a 28G marcie in the mail (from Amazon with free shipping/free returns!), so I'll see how that goes as well. I know that a lot of these cuts are based on cleo george but they are all slightly different, so I guess I just gotta work out which cut works well for me. :)

Just got off the phone with Linda the Bra Lady! The Parfait By Affinitas Kelly Molded Padded Bra (67016) that I ordered was back ordered by nearly 3 weeks in the 34FF European Nude. But they replaced it with the Baby Blue for me instead! Love the customer service!
Whenever I see listings or reviews of Ewa Michalak bras I have two thoughts. 1) "What a cute bra! And I hear they have narrow wires!" and then "What do these names and letters mean?!" Seriously, I can't fathom all the different letters and styles - is there some sort of theme between bras labeled "S" and ... ones labelled "PL" or "CH"? I would love to order a EW bra (or buy one of the ones listed on Bratabase) because I hear such good things and I think they would be compatible with my shape, but I don't even know where to begin with this brand.

This post breaks down the styles pretty good: http://www.curvywordy.com/2011/12/understanding-different-ewa-michalak.html. It doesn't mention the S style which is relatively new. The S style is similar to the PL (plunge) style but the gores are higher. I think it's designed to work with boobs that don't really work with the PL style.
To add,
XL hourglass explaind S perfectly.
http://xlhourglass.blogspot.com/2013/02/s-wisniowka-reviewed.html?m=1
Also - SM is the unpadded version of the S bra and the
HM is an unpadded version of the HP (halfcup bra)
Pl (plunge) has the lowet gore and only comes in padded versions.
HP keeps boobs closest to the chest, CH has a higher gore and is more projected from the profile,
And CHP (also only padded) is the mix of the two.
KM is fir breastfeeding and ST is a strapless. Noe sizing is a different issue entirely and depends on the style and the model at hand.

Two months later, after two delays in my Braologie order, I finally received the package today. What a disappointment. This is without a doubt the worst fitting bra I have ever tried on in my life, even when I was wearing 36DDs. I have a hard time believing it was custom made to fit me, the fit ... is just too hilariously terrible for that. The bra was clearly designed for someone much wider than me, the band was too big on even the tightest hook and rode up terribly, creating the worst back fat I've ever seen on me. The shoulder straps were so far apart they were basically cutting my arms off. I often have issues with straps being too far apart, but this was miles worse than the rest. The straps also were made of a material tha was too smooth, allowing them to loosen themselves and fall down after a minute or two.
The cups were also too tall and too far apart and the apexes were too far apart, creating a weird droopy lumpy shape where my boobs fell out the bottoms of the cups and they gaped at the top. There was zero lift whatsoever. If I didn't know that a better fit exists, this bra seriously would have made me cry.
I emailed Braologie with pictures as soon as I tried it on so I could pout ou the issues. It was so bad a fit, I doubt they are capable of making a bra that does fit me, so I don't know what's next from here. But I have had a bad experience with both customer service and product at this point, so I know I will not be ordering from them again, and I would recommend others stay away as well.
I don't know whether I can bea to upload pictures here, at least not under my real name. They are the least flattering pictures of me that have ever existed. But maybe I will uploa measurements when I leave work.

Oh wow, they already responded to my email. They do have damn good customer service, it just only goes so far when the wait time and product experience are as bad as mine have been.
They offered me a refund and want to work with me in the name of research, which I am happy to do. I definitely disagree with their assessment that the band is too tight, but let's experiment in the name of boob science!
Is that the Lacy or the full cup?
With all these negative reviews I'm scared to be hopeful about my replacement that's on it's way. :(
I am very surprised about your customer care comment because I really had the most wonderful experience with them as most did.

I used to think my breasts were not very "problematic". I used to wear 36Cs, then my boobs grew and I realized 36Ds weren't fitting that well. I looked into bra fitting and started wearing 34Es (my underbust is actually 32'', but I found Panache to run really tight). So I didn't have such a "shocking" size change. ... class="mentioned-item">Panache Sienna (4471) , Cleo Marcie (6831) , Gossard Enchante Plunge Bra (5741) and Cleo Lucy (5851) (this one a little too small on my bigger boob) all fit me perfectly, the Marcie in a 34F (which I have bought more recently, thus the different size).
So I decided to try some more "structured" bras, for wearing under tighter clothing and whatnot, and I bought a Masquerade Delphi (6411) in 34F and a Cleo Juna (6461) in a 32G (I'd read it ran loose in the band and small in the cup). And... they look weird on me. Like my breasts are too short or the cups too tall? (The Delphi is wearable and still manages to look good, but the Juna gapes on my smaller boob and will go back or be exchanged. I'll measure them and post a fit request for it)
I'd never thought I might have shallow boobs, because I hadn't experienced any problem with any of my other bras (the other bra I own and wear is a Freya longline, which is a little too loose in the band but will be altered). I also never really understood the VenusianGlow posts very well, not gonna lie. Not that they're bad to any extent - just I guess I didn't identify with them and didn't think they could apply. Thing is, my boobs are a bit low, and I have like zero breast tissue on the upper part. They look kinda like this brasihate drawing (see link) as in, the breast "mass" is concentrated on a lower point. Which is also contributes to why I never thought I might have shallow breasts.
Have I accidentally been wearing bras that are great for shallow breasts?

Her post on shallow breasts just means that the base is quite wide. Therefore, the breast is spread out further on the chest instead of projecting outwards. If it appears that the breast projects outwards more (think apple, watermelon, fruit, ect) then it is not as shallow. If the breast appears to be "flatter" (think stack of pancakes) then it is more shallow. Generally she is saying that if it is a shallow breast that the breast takes up more overall surface area on the base of the chest because it is flattened out than if it is deep where the breast tissue is projecting further away from the chest.
Well, seeing as the Juna is THE recommended bra for shallow breasts and you do not get on with it, I'd say you're safe ;-). In our forum there are lots of women who find that the bras recommended for shallow breasts fit them best but who do not have shallow breasts.
Weird, but true: I have small shallow breasts, but for some reason I often like the same models as brasihate, who obviously has very different boobs.
My bra fitting is seriously extremely weird with wires tapering all over my front back to my collarbones all the way up to my armpits and high in the middle. It's seriously so super duper weird!
It's what works the best, it really is. Great comfort, great shape! But still it's super duper seriously extremely, absurdly weird!

But..you found something that FITS??? Yea!
@RG I think I rather would say that I realised what I already had and simply concluded it was the best choice. Rather it was about accepting my own right to my own body and my own bra fitting and go for it.
I still do want more alternatives though. I will look into Fantasie, Elomi and I also think I will try Sculptresse.
What made my bras work was tightening the straps to the max. And stop bothering about wrinkling :)
A little birdie told me that there were 7700 accounts on Bratabase.
And ONLY 300 LIKES ON FACEBOOK???
Ladies, please.

I just had a realization today concerning my bra adventures! I have some seriously prominent nipples; they always need to be the center of attention (they're why I tend to avoid soft fabric cups). I've only been wearing properly fitting bras for about 1-2 months really, even though it seems like much longer. I'd forgotten that for ... many months previously, I had awful chafing issues due to my 4+ inch oversized bands. My nipples literally kept splitting and bleeding, it was awful and painful! I tried treating them with nipple butter and things for nursing mothers, but those things just weren't effective enough since I had to keep wearing my shifty bras. I noticed that I haven't had a single issue since switching, so thank you for all the fit help! Proper fitting bras make such a huge difference, in more ways than one!

A few updates on my bra-shopping:
1) Received 38F Lepel Fiore Plunge (93200) that I bought for V2. She said it fits perfectly and that the bra feels so good. I haven't asses the fit myself, but I have taught her on how to asses the fit herself by showing (more like, shoving) her tons of pictures on ABTF. ... She now wants that bra in other colours.
2) Received 32GG Fantasie Fern Side Support Bra (6721) that I bought for V1. According to her, it fits much better than the altered 36G Freya Leona (4681) I gave her a few weeks ago. There's still gaping on top because she's FOB, but not as much as in the Leona.
3) Received my Panache Sport (5021) in 28G. Fits nicely although I'm not sure if the gore really tacks. I feel contained and non-jiggly when running. Yeay for proper sports bra! I can do yoga without boobs getting in the way now.
4) Received my Masquerade Rhea (6121) in 30G because I grew out my 28G. I wanted 28GG initially, but this 30-band also feels nice on me so that's okay. And it fits! Yeaaaaaaaaah.
I now need to sell my 28G Cleo Lucy (5851) and get 28GG. Am also selling my 28FF Curvy Kate Emily (CK5001) to get 28G. I don't think this bra-shopping will ever end. *clutches ATM card*

It depends on how many FULL days I've been wearing it, the level of activity of each day I've been wearing it and so on. Usually though, normal everyday kinda activity, wearing the same bra several days (not in a row, elasticity needs to rest)... About three wears. I just don't think it's dirty after two wears. Sometimes I can wear the same bra four times before washing it but that's rare. Usually after the third wear it starts to feel icky so I wash it then :)
I usually go with three or four full wearings for regular bras and just a couple of wearings for my sports bra, sometimes less than that because I sweat a lot :6
Ever since I've started investing in better bras, I'm more conscious of the wear and care of my bras. Which means when it starts being 100ยบ and hotter, I'll probably be washing my bras every other wearing.
