Ladies,
I decided to go to the Dillards where I have been told I am a 36A, and look for the Ciao Bella bra in 34D that I bought online, only in another color. While I was there, the older lady who had mis-measured me in the past was helping a lady about her own age, and I really had to ... tell myself NOT to go up to that fitter and tell her what size and style I really am. I did notice that the poor woman she was helping was very lost and confused. Not to mention another lady in the store asked another fitter for a particular size (36C), and when I looked at her( the size caught my attention as its close to mine), I saw she was very clearly not that size and no one offered to fit her at all. She was thinner than me and had much larger breasts, someone should have offered a fitting. I made my way back over to where the Ciao Bella was and found ONE in 34D, and overheard part of the older lady helping the first customer.
This lady wanted a minimizer bra and was asking about fit. The fitter was telling her that if the end of the underwire stops directly under your armpits, then that means the cup is too big. She said the end of the underwire should stop just before it hits the armpit. Well, in my case, when that was happening, the cup was too small. The bra I am wearing now which all you ladies helped me pick out, has an underwire that ends just shy of directly under the armpit.
Was this fit lady correct?

Whee! Statistics. I think my husband thinks I've totally lost my mind now as I took off my shirt and started lying on the ground. Interestingly enough, I took my break the tape measurement by myself, and then I got him to help me, and I only trimmed off .5cm (like what? 1/5th of an inch?)
No prizes for guessing which measurements belong to me. You also know about my slightly insane preferences for super deep, super narrow cups, with a super tight band. I wish I could have added a note/comment about my preferences in the survey though.
:) Thank you for adding it here :)
I really think taking all this numbers in account in online bra fitting should work better - and in the end we combine that with the breast shape knowledge and everyone gets the right bra(s) with no hassle :)
