Bra shopping is no joke! I have a long way to go before I can have the collection some of you women have. However, the search must continue. I started getting my bras on clearance, but I can only find a couple my size. I’m so skeptical of purchasing online, due to returning or just settling because I don't want to return. I'm lazy like that sometimes. I read the online stories here and it seems to me that most women have more of trial & error scenarios. No properly fitting happy ending. I just can't imagine spending 50+ bucks on an item I can’t try on ‘Until’… and then wait for a refund or exchange over and over. Maybe it's me and my naïveté to this bra shopping/ buying process.

  • I shared your same online shopping issues when I started here. I have since realized that for my size it is the least frustrating option. To make it less scary I decided to only buy bras that cost less than $40 shipping included since I have to pay at least $50 for a bra in the stores. I also make sure that the return shipping won't put it over $45. It is less painful that way. Also I found that Amazon has some really great prices sometimes. Since I have Amazon Prime I can get free 2 day shipping and returns. Figleaves takes forever but is really easy to use and great prices between their sales and discount codes. I am still working up to ordering from ebay though. I love that I can buy a bra online put up a fit request here and then get some replies before I have to make a decision. I went to a store that is local and spent $100 on a pretty bra that I didn't figure out until I had tried it on for a couple of hours that it was the wrong size. They don't take returns.

  • Some people in the US order from Amazon.com and Nordstroms, since they have free returns, and return all the bras they get and buy the ones that fit cheaper somewhere else. I can't do the initial outlay, so I buy gently used/ new without tags bras from the listings here for way less than $50, or swap for free. If you get it cheap, and it doesn't work out, you can break even when you resell or swap it.
