Forewarning: This review includes descriptions and pictures of erotic wear on my body, including explicit descriptions of female anatomy and theoretical sexual activities.

Onto the sexy stuff! This review is going to be a 3-in-1 overview of the SMN Fetysz Czarny (I'm just gonna shorten it to "Fetysz" in this review), the Why not? briefs, and the Why not? harness. Once again, these are more my first impressions than an actual review. PS: You can see all the photos including those of the briefs and the harness if you go to the full review page, rather than just expanding the adventure on the front page.

Let's start with the ... bra! I have already owned the closely related SM Ty Wiesz for a while now, and gotten a handful of use out of it, so I'll be comparing the Fetysz to that mostly. First of all, I love the black mesh, and I love the black straps over the cups, which have a super unique placement, and are easy to adjust (check out Ewa's video on this bra's page on her website on how to adjust it!). The only thing I need to be wary of when adjusting them is to not tighten them too much, otherwise it creates creases and bulges in my breasts that could potentially translate through clothing. The adjusters also show a bit through clothing, but it's not too noticeable under thicker sweaters or layers. Compared to the Ty Wiesz, I love that this bra has thinner shoulder straps, but maintains the V strap attachment in the back. I think the thinner shoulder straps blend in better with the overall aesthetic for this bra. This band is really comfortable. It started out pretty short and firm, but after just a couple hours of wear it has relaxed. I am most impressed, however, by the overall projection of these cups! Take a look at my photos, especially the angle and side pics. I am shocked at how much projection this bra has, both at the apex of the cups, and at the wire. So it's definitely a more natural shape that it gives me, rather than compressing me slightly and giving me a very round appearance like a lot of my BM's do and like my Ty Wiesz does. I've been wearing this bra today for a solid 5 hours or so, and before writing this, I took my shirt off to check the fit after several hours of wear, and there were no wrinkles or folding near the wire. Outstanding! Take note if you're someone who needs this level of projection. Overall, very happy with this bra.

Next, we have the Why not? briefs and harness. My first thought is, strappy sexy delightfulness! I got this set in size 36, but I'm sure you can special order it smaller or larger than the listed sizes if needed. I have a very ample butt, and I find that a lot of underwear cuts into my buttocks, thus creating unsightly panty lines under clothing. However, seeing as there are so many straps on this set, plus a distinct lack of any fabric covering my buttocks, I figured I'd go for the smallest size to cater to my small waist (I have about a 25" waist, vs. 38" (ish) hips at my widest point). The topmost horizontal straps on the briefs, that sit just at the top of my hipbone, are juuuust short enough for me if I tighten them as far as they will go. However, it would be a super easy alteration to shorten these straps further if I want to in the future. The only part that is not adjustable is the brief part itself. This fits me well. Now, I know what you're all wanting to know. "Where does the crotch fabric end??" For me, it covers most of my vulva, and stops just short of my vaginal opening. So my clitoris is covered, but I could theoretically have vaginal intercourse (and also pee!) without having to move these briefs. I haven't tried either of these activities yet, but I'm pretty confident that it can be done. As you'll see in my pictures, the briefs came with a size tag attached to the end of the crotch fabric on the inside. I thought that was pretty unsightly, and maybe also uncomfortable to keep it attached while wearing these briefs, so I cut the thread that was attaching it and removed it. I did the same for the size tag that was attached to the back of the harness. Speaking of which, not much to say except that everything's adjustable once again (I looked up pics on Ewa's website to figure out how to attach it to the briefs), and yay straps! Even if this set doesn't get a ton of use like my day-to-day underwear, it was only like $35 CAD during the Black Friday sale, so totally worth it IMO.

Overall, I'm super happy with this purchase, and look very much forward to getting more use out of it!

Wonderfully thorough review, as always. I'd like to thank you for the panty details, as I was quite curious, but wouldn't have asked. :-D
Looks like the perfect date night pairing!!

    • 3

Thank you MamaPagan :) I'm glad I could provide those answers!

    • 4

Wow, what an exciting set! I’m glad that someone decided to give this set a go.

    • 2

excellent review! Bra looks great. I did try it before but didn't really like it. I love the fetysz panties tho and im sure i'm going to love my Why Not? one even more :D they should arrive this week - cannot wait!

    • 2

Are the straps on the bra detachable?

    • 1

      Thanks for the thorough review!

    • 2

Thanks for the review - I only bought the panties but its good to know what to expect! I bought a different SM that was on sale in a 75K - the one with the triangles of black lace over the bottom. Cant wait until they arrive! Hopefully the panties work on my more apple-shaped body, too. and i'll be ready to remove that awkward tag lol

    • brasaremean No, the straps are not detachable.

    • 2

Thanks sherrach898 I've ordered this bra three times so far and keep changing my mind and changing my order, driving Kaska crazy! Mostly I was afraid it wouldn't be deep enough in the cup (and there was so little information on this bra) but your review sounds promising!

My next stop on my Toronto bra boutique venture was Secrets from your Sister, which is possibly the largest bra-focused shop in Toronto. I arrived in the middle of the day on a Wednesday, and there was no wait to be seen for a fitting. I told my fitter that I'm wearing a 28F nowadays in Panache/Cleo, and she started bringing me bras to try on. I am super lucky that SFYS carries Ewa Michalak, and so I was happy to buy this Bibi Perla to replace my old one (which is accelerating rapidly to the end of its life; it has become very stabby in the gore). ...

The appearance is the same as my older version, except that the charm on the gore is slightly different, and there is a slightly dark mark on the outside of the right cup (which, looking at my photos now, can't even be seen as it's hidden behind the Bratabase watermark). SFYS were the ones who brought the mark to my attention, and they were very upfront about being willing to give a small discount because of it. Other than this, the bra is in perfect, new condition.

I have always had great experiences at SFYS, but this time I was a little bit at odds with my fitter about what the proper cup volume would be for me. With this bra in particular, she first brought out a Bibi Czarny Tulipan in 28F. I tried it on, and although I wasn't quadding (due to the stretch lace), my breast tissue was pushed up unnaturally high, and I could tell that it was too small for me. When I told her this (and also mentioned that I own many other BM's, all in 28FF), she said something along the lines of, "I think the next cup size up will be too big for you, but we can try it". So then she brought out this, the Bibi Perla, in 28FF. When she came back to assess the fit, I pointed out how there was no wrinkling whatsoever, and my bust was sitting in a much more natural position instead of being excessively pushed up. Instead of agreeing with me, I think she just felt like she wasn't gonna change my mind, so she let me be. (She also felt like my Deco softcup was too big in the cup, but let that one go too). Granted, I am definitely in-between cup sizes right now, which obviously she wouldn't have known. A lot of my EM BM's are a smidge too large in the cup, such as my Puder and my Porto.

In conclusion, I was happy to get a replacement for my OG Bibi Perla, and although I had a small disagreement with my fitter about the fit, I am glad I stuck to my guns and came home with a size I know will fit me for probably the full life of the bra.

This bra looks like a good fit on you. How wonderful you could get your size in the Ewa Michalak bra you wanted to replace your worn out one! It's great you can recognize correct fit and such subtle differences between two cup sizes! Thank you for showing the snug T-shirt fit. This is always a concern of mine. I usually wear a seamless, lined bra because of seams showing through and, I feel, ruining the lines of some of my tops. This bra is basically a T-shirt bra for you!

    • 1

I think it looks like a great fit on you. You know your body best, so glad the lady at the shop didn't try to pressure you. Glad you found a replacement for your old bra. Nice that you have a shop that carries EM bras. I'd kill for that around here. I think the closest shop to me that carries EM is like 12 hours away, lol. Oh well!

    • 1

Looks great. I’ve been in the same position with sales associates (especially La Senza and the like who are all too eager to measure me when I say that they don’t have anything that fits).

    • 2

She may not have been accustomed to fitting people in your size range with the BM style, which is obviously super popular with people in the very large cup range. If you fit a demographic that usually comes in looking for the lower-cut Ewa styles she probably has a mental image of the optimal fit they get in those bras, making her less receptive to what you were saying (or to the logic of realizing yeah it's a BM, they are fairly high coverage bras, it's really totally fine for it to fit you this way!)

    • 2

I got my first proper fitting bra at SFYS! I had no idea they carried Ewa bras, I might have to plan a trip down to check things out. Thanks for the review. :)

Alright, let's start this wave of posts off with my first impressions of the BM Porto! I may or may not add a more in-depth review once I've worn and washed it a few times, but I assume it'll be very similar to my other BMs. First of all, I love the appearance! The lace is gorgeous, I love the silky patterned knitwear, and I love the jewel decoration. It's a rich, deep kind of black cherry or wine colour. Perfect for the holidays!

In terms of the first impressions of the fit, it does fit the largest overall of my new bras. It's snuggest on the second-to-last hooks ... (the band does feel quite stretchy), and the cups feel quite capacious. It's not measuring particularly large (from smallest to largest fitting in this size for me according to cup depth, smallest is Krokus, then Bibi Perla, then this, then Szafirowa Pantera, and then my Szmaragd in 30F), but the cups do feel fairly full-coverage. The cups are giving me a slightly peaked appearance right now because the apex is fairly high and the lace is slightly stiff, but I'm sure it'll round out more as I wear and wash it.

Overall, I'm super happy with this one! Stay tuned for more on my other new bras!

Ooooohhh...it looks great on you!! Nice with your skin tone.

    • 1

That is gorgeous! I was close to ordering that one from Ewa with the sale in my size but I stuck with the Cabernet from Broad. Do you find it shallow at all or that it wrinkles somewhat at the wire? I have my pics up on my 65FF and plan to wear it today for a bit so I can do a proper review soon. I have not worn mine long term yet, as I did not want to test it out on a full day of work.

    • 2

This is beautiful! I Love the colour and the fit looks great!

    • 1

Thank you everyone! Calluna, unfortunately I'm not someone who usually has issues with projection at the wire, so I can't say for sure. In the short time I had it on, I didn't notice any wrinkling issues near the wire, only in the top section of the cup along the horizontal seam because of the aforementioned issues with the lace being stiff and the cups having a higher apex than me.

    • 1

Sonya this is who I confused you with that had a BM Krokus.

    • 1

It looks great on you!! Glad it's a good fit. :-)

    • 1

I love this colour on you! So great!

    • 1

Looks beautiful! And I agree with others... this colour does look nice on you! Would you say that your BMs have different apex heights? I guess I just always figured they were the exact same cut with every BM... (I hope the Antonia that I have coming doesn't have a high apex, because that won't really work with me).

    • 2

Wilderness1 Now that I think about it, I do kinda feel like they're all slightly different. My Krokus and Bibi Perla seem to have a lower-apexed profile (and they're my two most shallow BM's in terms of cup depth; not sure if that would be correlated or not), and my Szafirowa Pantera and now this Porto seem to have a slightly higher apex, but that's more evidenced in the visual appearance and the feel than the measurements IMO.

    • I’m wondering if my Cabernet is also a slightly higher apex...

Thanks sherrach898 ..I'll know in a few weeks if mine fits or not. I'll have nothing to compare it to though, since it's my first BM. Thanks for the review.

    • 2

@wildnerness I'm looking forwarding to your review. I also have my first BM on the way - and have no idea whether it will fit. Its so helpful to see others reviews

    • rachaelll totally agree! Especially when they're in the same size range.

    • 1

rachaelll and Wilderness1 I’m on the edge of my seat waiting for you to get your BMs. 🍿

    • 2

rachaelll Wilderness1 Calluna I am also waiting for BMs. 65FFs. I have Fluo and Antonina coming direct from EM and Wersal from another user. Also awaiting HM Sekret, SM Wanilla and S Pralinowy in the same size. Lots of reviews and fit data coming up!!

    • Interested to see how the 65FFs work for you AprilGoulding. I have my 65FF Cabernet pics and measurements up, but I have not been able to write a review on it much beyond my initial impression (in an adventure I wrote). Like all of my new bras, I want to wear it around the house or for short periods first, before an all day work shift. Only I’ve literally been in my pajamas for the last two days (my days off) and I don’t want to get dressed and go anywhere. I just wanna cocoon at home. I think that I might be coming down with something. I thought it might just be the pressure from the wind storms that we have been having, but I am not sure now.

  4. Chp Cappuccino (317)

Are you ready for another alterations saga?! I bought this bra used from someone on reddit.com/r/braswap, and I have no clue how long this person had it, but the band's mesh near the hook and eye tape on each side was showing some wear and stretching. When I received this bra and tried it on for the first time, as you'll be able to see in the first two sets of photos (I wrote in my captions which pics are before/after alterations, etc.), the bra was overall too big for me. I also own the CHP Marcepanowa Magnolia and CHP Brzoskwinka in 60FF, and both fit ... similarly to each other, but the Brzoskwinka doesn't have cookie pockets. The Cappuccino fit larger than both of these, at least in its well-loved state. So upon my first try-on of the Cappuccino, the band was far too large, and the cups were far too large, which was not remedied as much as I had hoped when I inserted the foam pads. The straps were also extremely wide set in the front, and were rubbing the front of my armpits, which normally isn't much of an issue for me. I knew what needed to be done; I had to take in a large chunk of the band, and I had to move the straps inward.

I dealt with the band first, because I wanted to see how much, if at all, it would affect the fit of the cups and lessen the gaping that was happening. But rather than just removing the hook and eye tapes and chopping off the outermost portion of the band and reattaching, I wanted to try to move the whole strap attachment inward as well so that the band would maintain the same angle (I found that by just chopping off the outside of the band and reattaching the hook and eye tapes, such as I did with my Periwinkle Marcie and my Aqua Lily both in 30E, the bands ended up with an angle that made them feel like they were riding up). So, I marked in chalk where I wanted to move everything to (I moved everything inward by about 1" on each side), and then I started ripping out all the seams. Once the hook tape and the strap attachment elastic were removed, I resewed the strap attachment with that segmented zigzag stitch to its new position (I was trying to replicate the original stitching as much as possible), then I threaded the top of the elastic back through the strap like normal, folded it down on the inside of the band and sewed it shut. I trimmed off the excess mesh on the outside, which got rid of most of the worn out mesh, and then reattached the hook tape as normal. I didn't even bother to try and reattach the tag. Then I repeated the same process on the eye tape side, and held my breath.

I tried it on again, and thankfully, the band now fits wonderfully for me. The altered band measures 20.5" resting, and 26.5" stretched. However, the cups were still gaping, and the straps were still cutting into me. I had recently seen a picture of someone who moved the straps in on their bra, not permanently, but reversibly. So I used their method of folding the strap behind the cup and kind of over itself so it creates a "V" shape on the inside of the cup, and it both moves the strap inward and also folds down a portion of the outside of the cup and makes it slightly lower. So I did this for both straps, and lo and behold, this turned out to be the ideal solution for my problem! The more central position of the straps now eliminates the gaping and makes the cups sit flush to my body, and also lowers the outside of the cups slightly, so there's no more rubbing and chafing! YAY! I just had to loosen the straps slightly because I essentially shortened the front of the straps. (And I only realized that the straps are now slightly uneven when I uploaded my photos and looked at them, but I don't care! It worked like a charm.)

It took me probably 1.5-2 hours yesterday, but I wanted to make sure I was taking my time to measure properly and test the stitches on a scrap piece of fabric to make sure they were the right length and width to be accurate to the original stitching. Overall, I'd say this experiment was a resounding success, and I am extremely happy with how it turned out.

Wow! That looks great! Thank you for taking the time to write up what you did and to take photos.

    • 1

That's amazing! I can't believe the transformation in fit just with those alterations! FWIW, I ordered a chp capuccino a couple years back and found that it fit large compared to other bras in the same size. Glad this one fits you now!

    • 2

Sovavosi Thank you, and you're very welcome! :) Wilderness1 I'm also stunned with the transformation! I'm super happy that my taking a chance paid off.

    • 1

Excellent job on alterations! Looks great afterwards!

    • 1

      Gorgeous! Great work!

    • 1

Nice work! I had to alter my Chp Capucchino as well in terms of band and strap placement. Maybe this one uses a different pattern than the newer chps?

    • Thank you all! Noob As far as I know, Ewa probably still uses the original pattern for this bra, which is quite old at this point. It's one of the few bras I remember being available from when I first discovered her brand, which was probably 2013 ish? So I'm not surprised to hear that it has fit differently from the other CHP's for multiple people.

    • 1

That is so impressive! And it looks gorgeous on you. :)

    • 1

Well done! I have zero sewing skills myself, but I have thought about alterations on some of my bras before, but with the help from someone who knows what to do. Congratulations for a successful alteration!

  5. Sf Nibynic (1133)

Onto the next review! I had the chance to wear this bra for a solid 10 hours at home yesterday, which included cleaning up, washing dishes, and also laying on the couch for an extended period of time lol.

Once again, these are mostly first impressions. I've never owned or even tried an SF before this, so I was not expecting how thick the lower three panels would be! They are quite stiff. The upper panel of the folded mesh is comfy and accommodating, but I do find that the edge of the lower sections kind of protrudes a little at the horizontal seam, which is causing the slightly ... pointed appearance. It wasn't super obvious under the shirt I was wearing yesterday (a thick black cotton tshirt), but it may be more obvious under the typically light-coloured summer tops that I plan to wear this under the most.

My most important takeaway of this bra is that it has less immediate projection at the wire than the BM style, and this is the first bra (ever) that I've gotten such significant wrinkling and folding at the wire. I think the stiffened lower cup actually exacerbates the problem. That being said, it was not uncomfortable for me, and I didn't feel like I was getting any additional pressure or compression in the bottom of the cup because of it. This is more of an aesthetic issue than anything else for me. However, if that is a make-or-break fit issue for you, I would be wary of the SF style.

The band on this is also quite firm. It relaxed a bit throughout the day thankfully, but it's nice to have a band that runs on the smaller side rather than the larger side. I may remeasure after it is completely broken in, because when I first measured the stretched band length two days ago, I was shocked to see that it stretched to less than 26". This is probably a product of the fact that this is supposedly the smallest cup volume Ewa will make in a 60 band, compared to MamaPagan, Sovavosi, and many others who require a true 60 band but haven't been getting it because of their larger cup volumes.

In terms of appearance, I like the more nutty beige colour, which is darker than my own skin tone, but still blends well under clothing. It does look pretty velvety to me in real life, and I don't get much of that shiny flashback. Overall, it was very comfortable for me, and I'm sure I'll be getting plenty of use out of it!

I experienced a lot of the same issues (esp wrinking at the wire) as you did with the single SF I got.
By the end of the day, if I didn't quickly readjust and scoop&swoop, the cups would totally collapse on me.

    • 2

It is beautiful, and looks really good on you. I hadn't thought about it but yes, the stiff fabric probably does exacerbate the wrinkling. Looking at my notes, the SF does on average have a shorter band than the BM, probably again due to the stiffer fabric. It's good that you pointed that out, I wouldn't have thought to look otherwise. 😀

    • 1

It's a beautiful nude bra and looks great on you...your wrinkling at the wire(due to lack of projection right at it) is my plague also and the reason I've been avoiding this style. Maybe as the fabric in the lower cup wears and the stiffness disappipates it will allow the breast to sink in and the wrinkles will go away? I'd be interested to know.

    • 2

AprilGoulding I don't think it does very much. I have some smaller ones that I wore quite a bit and the wrinkle was always there. They were also softer than this model. It's just endemic to the style.

    • 6

I also get wrinkles in the bottom of the SF.

It's worth noting that Ewa's models do as well. Looking at the stock photos of Princessa specifically, they all wrinkle at the wire.

I think it's an SF issue rather than our issue.

    • 2

Well then. I guess we know what style I wont be buying;)

    • 1

Well it looks great on you. Too bad about the minor fit issues, but I hope it still gets lots of wear. Is the bottom lined then? Like thinly padded?

    • 5

SFs are not padded. But the mesh is very rigid and structured.

    • 1

Looks great on you! I guess the mesh collapses at the bottom because it comes up so high in the center and doesn't get pulled up by the straps.

    • 1

I accept the bottom of the cup wrinkling as a unique feature of the style, haha. If I tighten the straps, I can get rid of the wrinkle, but the trade off is usually quadding and strap pain, so I wear those wrinkles proudly. :-D

      It looks good on you!

    • 3

Thank you for the kind words everyone :) I'm so happy this review is helping others decide whether this style would work for them or not!

The long-awaited S Magique! I knew I needed this from the first time I saw the sneak peak on facebook. I kind of love everything with black lace on beige/pale background. The warm-toned beige color is a bit darker than my skin tone, but it looks quite smooth nevertheless. This bra certainly has a lot of things going on: there's the floral eyelash lace, the corset tie at the gore, shiny ribbons over the wires, and a rather random pair of ribbons + button where the straps meet the cups. The straps and band are plain black next to all of that. I can’t really get the corset ... tie to look as good as in the EM pictures. I find the ribbons a bit shorter than I expected, although I have the corset tied as tight as I can. Maybe I should just tie them without a bow.

I got a bit scared when several reviews told that Magique runs loose in the band and quite inconsistent in the cups. Luckily, this one has a relatively tight band. I can wear it on the loosest hooks, whereas I need the second row for many other newer EMs. My S Magique also seems to fit quite similarly in the cups as my 60FF - Ewa Michalak » S Syrena. It fits nicely without the pads, although my bigger breast is sometimes on the verge of quadding near the center gore. The shape is very projected and just a tad pointy under shirts.

I was also scared about the potentially wider gore, because I have very close-set breasts. It doesn’t seem to be a problem, though. The top of the gore is still narrow enough, and the gore is also short enough (about similar rise as my other S bra, although the gore measurements can be difficult to compare). There is no fabric behind the corset tie holding the gore together (except at the very top). It seems pretty stable though, it only came undone once while (hand) washing.

This is the first partial band bra I have had, and I’m not sure if I like it. I guess that because of the discontinuous band, the wires put a bit more pressure against my ribs. I sometimes find Ewa’s wires just a bit too firm for my liking anyway.

I also got the matching thong in size 34. I really love EM thongs, and this one is no exception. It’s a lovely cut, comfortable and flattering with lovely details.

In the end, this is not the first bra I would like to put on in the morning. The set is gorgeous, although maybe not quite as spectacular as I had expected. But I think I want to keep for now.

Good to read another review. Its so odd that its not as awesome in person as it seemed on line. Whereas some are the opposite - my Naomi was just - well, its brown and I have a lot of brown summer tops, so it'd be nice to have a bra strap that sort-of goes . . and its my favorite!

Love4Pollinators Thank you! :) dbmamaz Yeah, it's funny. I guess a lot of people just had really high expectations. Maybe it would look better with a looser gore? And sometimes simple is beautiful!

Good review! Thank you! This bra just popped up in my new recommendations list and it is helpful to read a review. It looks really nice on you!

I am in love with this bra! It’s not what I ordered, though. I bought Syrena in the new M model in 60FF, mainly because I could get a 60 band without special ordering. Something got mixed up, and instead I received S Syrena in the same size. It turned out to be a lucky accident really, since the M cut would have been probably too small for me, as it was described as shallow.

This is my second bra from Ewa Michalak after my “test bra” 65FF - Ewa Michalak » S Orzechowa Pralinka (711) , which was loose in the band and had a bit ... of gaping at the top of the cups as well. I was afraid that the 60FF would be too small, but it fits quite perfectly! With the pads in I get quadboob, but I prefer not to wear extra pads anyway. All pictures are taken without the pads.

Syrena is just incredibly beautiful. The combination of emerald green, navy, and fuchsia is really unique and works so well. It’s difficult to capture the colors in photos (especially since I barely get any daylight during January in Finland), but they are very rich in person. I love everything about the way this bra looks, even the black and pink “Ewa Michalak” logo next to the cup. The bra feels very soft and comfortable. It gives a great cleavage and shape without being too over-the-top. Cups fit well, and the wires are quite perfect. The center gore seems to be low enough for my close-set breasts, and it even tacks. The gore is quite narrow as well: the wire channels are slightly overlapping at the top. The only moderate fit issue really is that the band feels slightly loose on my 66cm/26 inch ribcage. Luckily there are 4 rows of hooks! I think I would ideally need a 55 band from Ewa Michalak, unless the band runs super tight.

I also got the Syrena thong in size 36. I think it fits true to size and is just as beautiful as the bra. The cut is flattering and super comfortable. Also, the big bow at the back is really cute.

Overall, this might be my best fitting bra yet. Dammit, my bra budget will be ruined since I now want everything from Ewa Michalak!

It's a bummer that you didn't get what you ordered, but it seems to have been a happy accident!

    • jlcl119 Yes, it turned out quite fine really. :) And now I know my S size at least. It'll be interesting to see your comparison with the M version!

    • 2

I'm always so surprised to see how closed at the top S is in smaller cup sizes! Its so completely open on top up in the J/JJ range

it does look great on you, tho

I received this bra through MagdaBras4you about a week and a half ago (thank you Magda!!), and I've had the chance to wear it a couple times now. The BM cut is my all-time favourite, and I owned five others before I received this one (now I have seven, as I received another after this, which I will review soon lol). The Puder is absolutely beautiful in my opinion. The band is made of a silky, stretchy, satiny material, probably the same as my BM Szafirowa Pantera, and it is very comfy. Attached to the bottom of the band is some very soft and silky ... lace which hangs over the bottom edge, which is not itchy whatsoever to me, but may be bothersome to those who have sensory sensitivities. I find that the lace folds up occasionally, but this doesn't bother me (as opposed to when a longline folds up on me). The cups are fully made of lace.

As for the fit, I find it fits most similar to my Szafirowa Pantera in the band (although Puder is slightly looser to begin with, and may be slightly stretchier, as I have to wear it on the second or third hooks to begin with), and it fits most similar to my BM Porto in the cups. Both Puder and Porto fit me as if the cups are stiffer and have a slightly higher apex (horizontal seam) than my other BMs, although Puder gives me a rounder shape from the start than Porto did in the beginning.

Overall I'm pretty darn happy with this purchase, and I look forward to wearing it lots.

I was in Toronto this past week, so of course I had to stop into Broad Lingerie, owned by Sam Conover. I'd say I've almost become friends with Sam and Shavaun, or at the very least we're all friendly and they recognize me when I come in. Last time I visited was for their first anniversary party in April, and when I talked to Sam then, she mentioned she had placed an order for this bra, and made sure to include my size in the order since she doesn't stock much in my size on a regular basis. Of course, I was ecstatic when she pulled this out ... for me to try this past week, and I was thrilled that it fit as perfectly as I could have hoped.

I'd been meaning to get more BM bras since they fit me so well and they're so comfortable! First of all, this bra is absolutely stunning. The lace is a slightly dusty purple and it has a neat triangular trim along the cup's top edge and band's bottom edge. The elastic is all a complementary kind of coral pink, and the thread is the same purple colour as the lace. However, I did notice a few places of uneven stitch tension, which I'm not sure if it's just this bra, or I've only noticed it now because it's a contrasting colour and I'm actually learning to recognize these things through learning how to sew. That's the only reason I've given this bra a "good" quality rating instead of "excellent".

The fit and comfort is exactly what I've come to expect from the BM cut. The all over lace is stretchy and very soft. The whole bra has a stretchy, fine black mesh lining. It accommodates bottom and upper fullness very well, but it does require at least averagely tall roots, I would say. The straps are fully adjustable, but if you need the straps shorter, you have to manoeuvre the strap adjusters over the transition to the decorative strap portion, which can be difficult at times. The band is very soft but very firm, from what I can tell. The texture of the lace does show a bit through thinner knit tops, but it doesn't bother me too much.

Overall I think I'm going to be very happy with this bra! Thanks once again to Sam at Broad Lingerie, and if any of you lovely folks have the opportunity to visit her store, I 100% recommend it!

This is a good-fitting, supportive, quality bra. I have to hunch a lot to get any gaping and the bra looks and feels like it gives a decent amount of projection. I don't feel like it is taking my breasts and flattening them out like the Comexim Rita and Adore. I love the built-in cookie holders. The inner lining of this bra is softer than the Comexims too. I also love that the band is small for a 28 as I have a 25" ribcage. The look of the bra is pretty good- not necessarily my favourite pattern but not bad. The straps are pretty wide-set, but OK. Also, I had to adjust them to their tightest setting even though I'm not really petit. The seams are somewhat visible with thin t-shirts. The shape it gives is just a little bit pointy, but not bad. It gives a nice amount of cleavage.

Stats for reference: FOT, centre full, close & low set, soft tissue, short & narrow roots, and projected.

    Look:
This is an adorable baby pink CHP bra (3HC), with lace on the top edge of the cups and is adorned by an big bow with silver gem charm. It is very pretty and kind of makes me feel like a sweet princess. It is super soft and comes with cookie holders and pads for uneveness.

    Fit:
This is my first Ewa Michalak bra so I was super duper excited about trying it! However, judging my other's measurements I must have gotten unlucky with mine because the band on this bra stretches to ... be 30F rather than 28FF. I can wear it on the tightest hook (although still feels loose) and it gives amazing cakes-on-a-plate style cleavage with a visible cleavage line (by line I mean the look some can get from Freya decos). The side profile is very round and projected. I'm thinking that the lower gore and cup might contribute to better fit since I have short roots. The gore could be narrower/ overlapping for a better fit but works well nonetheless. This is also the first time I've had in-built cookies... it does work well to balance uneveness but I'm not a big fan of the slight cookie 'imprint' on the outside of my cups (not super noticeable but worth potentially not bothering with getting cookie holders if given the choice of alterations in the future).

Thanks for a detailed and thorough review! They're getting to be hard to come by on here, so I'm happy to see more people posting them. They're SUCH an important resource for us all!
m sorry you had your first EM flop :(. Their bands are notoriously inconsistent. Some 28's fit like 24's, some fit like 30's, and some 30's fit like 28's. Someone on here ordered 65F's and ended up with bras that fit like a 50GG! Also, I think the cleavage line you're referring to is called "buttcrack cleavage".

    • 1

marilynne No problem, thank you :) Fingers crossed for my next EM! Do you know if the cups can also be inconsistent or is it usually just the band? 'Buttcrack cleavage' is exactly the word I was looking for!

    • 2

sincerity I've heard that it's generally just the band. However, they use 2.5cm cup increments instead of 1 inch (2.54cm) increments like UK brands. So they may run slightly small.

    • 3

I’ve had at least 10. Minor inconsistencies across the board but nothing like Comexim (shit show). Different styles fit differently as well.
      Dark colours usually smaller/tighter.
Don’t know why your magnolia is off. I have it in 65G S and it’s consistent with my other S and 65 bands in general.
Just look up the bras you’re looking for here and read the reviews. Last year we did dozens and dozens. A lot of active members back then.

    • 2

I think Ewa is pretty consistent with the cups. It’s the bands that are not as consistent. I do actually think Ewa scales closer to the 1” UK sizing but, a previous member here once contemplated that the difference between the single and double letter sizes was smaller than the double letter to the single...meaning that the F to FF was a smaller jump in size compared with the FF to G. I’m not sure if it’s really been proven though.

    • 1

AGBras Thanks for the tips, I'm making it a habit to check bratabase reviews before buying :)

Calluna That's super interesting! I'd be super pleased if it's true because I ordered a 60F CHP Parys (largest cup in 60 band for this style) while I'm usually a 60FF so hoping that wearing without cookies might work.

This is my fourth(!!) BM style from Ewa Michalak. I emailed Jaimie from Bra Obsessed about this bra back in early December. I had noticed that the stock of this bra was getting low on EM's website, so I emailed Jaimie to see if she could find out from EM whether they had enough fabric leftover to make a set for me. Evidently, they did! I got the 60FF and matching size 34 thong to go with it, and the set arrived in late January. I've worn it three or four times now, so I have a concrete idea of how this fits compared to my other BM ... bras!

First of all, I absolutely looooove the fabrics and colours used! My absolute favourite part of the whole design is the lavender bows, which complement so well with the dark royal/navy blue! The bottom of the cup is a blue mesh with a leopard print, and the top of the cup is stretch lace with a beige mesh underneath, which does match my skintone well, and therefore gives the illusion of bare skin underneath the lace. The straps are plain and smooth, unlike the stock photos on EM's website. There is also one other small change in appearance, which is the diagonal seam. In the stock photo, the seam is backed with dark blue or black fabric, but on my bra, the seam is backed with the beige mesh fabric. Regardless, I still think it is absolutely beautiful!

This BM is slightly different in that it uses a non-stretchy black lining on the bottom half of the cup, so I would guess it fits more like an SF style than a true BM. I like this because it minimizes movement and keeps me well supported throughout the day. It also has the largest cup depth out of my three 60FF BM's, but it still works for me! (So in order, my Krokus fits the smallest at 8.5" depth, then my Bibi Bezowa Perla at 8.7-8.8" depth, and this one is 9.1" depth). The band is smooth and silky, and is comfortably stretchy (not firm, but it still fits firmly on me, if that makes sense!). The matching thong also fits perfectly! I asked for the 34 because the 36's I own all run a tad large, so the 34 ended up working well for me!

Overall I'm extremely happy with this set! I'm just sorry it's all sold out now.

Is this style BM shallow on the bottom like an SF?

    • 2

EmmaOh martka00 Thank you both! Sovavosi I've never tried an SF, but I do think that this one is a little shallower on the bottom than my other BM's. I'd say the all-lace ones like my Krokus and Szmaragd have the most projection at the wire, followed by my Bibi Bezowa Perla, and then this one.

This is a new cut to me, and right away I know I love it! The band is suuuuper tight, coming in at between 25-25.5" stretched, which is at or below my snug underbust measurement. It's tolerable for up to 8 hours or so, but then I just need to get it off my body! Other than that, it's a really exceptional bra. It has a beautiful design, for one. It has a somewhat bright blue lace overlay over the cups and the whole band (although it kind of looks more like a cornflower blue in some lighting), with beige padding and lining underneath. It has asymmetry pockets. ... The wire width is excellent, it has a wonderfully low gore, and I love how low coverage it is. It also has excellent immediate depth at the wire. It's super open on top, so it requires tall roots and/or FOT at this end of the size range. It has interesting straps that I've never seen before from EM. They're relatively thin and pretty stretchy, and they have an interesting kind of corrugated texture on the upside. I will probably reach for this over my PL now when I need something with a low gore, but especially because of the lower coverage in general. I wonder whether I'm on the brink of needing a 60G instead, because the apex seems a little low on me, although there's no quadding per se. I'd love some feedback about the fit from anyone who has tried this cut, especially Prettyncharmeuse, and lcl0706, from whom I bought the bra. It's too bad there isn't more data in my size range for the M cut, but I'll do my best to expand on that! I'm interested in getting the Jezynka in particular, especially after hearing that its materials are really soft and comfortable!

    • wow, that is really low-cut! and lovely color!

    • Gorgeous!!!

    • This looks beautiful on you! I love my Jezynka but I find the band to run stretchy.

    • Girl!! This looks way better on you than it did on me. This is the only M cut I've ever tried. I'd love to try another one in 65E!

    • Oh man. M cuts will never fit me but what a gorgeous color!

    • Looks beautiful!

    • 2

Thanks everyone! gratiat thanks!! I'd actually be totally okay if it was a little stretchier. This is the absolute tightest I can handle for any length of time. lcl0706 thanks girl!! I hope you get the chance to try the cut again soon.

    • Would an extender help with the apparently low apex problem? With the band being stretched fairly tight, it's likely you're losing at least a little bit of projection/depth. This will also help extend the life of the bra--when the wearer is too lean to be compressible, something's gotta give and it will usually be the elastic.

    • 1

sherrach898 i will when I save up enough money to order another one!

    • wendybien I'll have to try it with an extender! I've never needed one before so I'll have to find one for cheap to try it out. I do have 1.5-2" of squish on my ribcage though, so this is actually the only bra (aside from the 3DM Trefl I used to own once upon a time, which was borderline too small) that has been too snug for me at times. I am training to be an opera singer though, so the only times it's uncomfortably tight are when I'm trying to expand my ribcage a lot for diaphragmatic breathing. Other than that, it's tolerable for several hours at a time, thank goodness!

    • Oh, for sure, I bet a too-small band isn't a common experience for you -- with a petite frame like yours, there aren't too many bras available on the market that will actually be too short in the band! When I talk about compressible though, I'm not talking about one or two inches--I'm referring to people with a really nice ample amount of squish such that sizing down from the snug torso measurement would feel perfectly fine all day. Montserrat Caballe would be an example. I'm sure she can breathe just fine in a bra that is tighter than her torso measurement, because her bony ribcage itself is so well-protected from that band by a lot of soft tissue.

    • wendybien Ahh, thank you for the clarification, haha. Montserrat Caballe is a perfect example ;)

New style for me! Low low gore, average wires... sorta tall-ish cups. Great immediate depth. I'm hooked on the idea of true plunges lately (not the Comexim balconette "plunges"), and love that this is one I actually stay contained in! It's clearly too big on my smaller side however, and I really hate pads. Full review on the blog!

  16. Sm Ty Wiesz... (743)

I bought this bra from Jaimie at Bra Obsessed. Even though the band runs about 1.5" small for a 28, I'm still wearing it on the second tightest hook. This is a sad trend I've realized, so I'll be ordering 55/26 bands from now on. I've always known my snug UB is 25.5" and tight UB is around 24", but I was always comfortable in bands such as Cleo and Panache 28's. I'm just sad that it seems like Ewa has been cutting her newer styles slightly larger in the band. Even my SM Summertime from 2-ish years ago had a much tighter band than my three newest ... Ewa's do! The wires are a good width for me in this bra, and I LOVE the styling of it! The materials used are all really soft except for the elastic of the cage-like straps that cross from the gore to the straps. Those can get a little bit itchy, but it doesn't bother me much. This bra is on the cusp of being too small in the cups for me, but they're so open on top that I don't have any quadboobing in them. It just means that sometimes the wires slide down from my IMF and I have to readjust. The gore NEARLY tacks. It seems as though this style has less immediate projection around the gore as some other styles. I've also found, strangely, that the straps on both my SM style bras are really, really long. No clue why. I almost immediately adjusted the straps so that the slider is at the top of my shoulders, which is where the straps are adjusted best right now.

This bra was ordered from Broad Lingerie in Toronto during the Black Friday sale. I had been lusting after this bra after seeing it online - it looks so sexy in all of the promotional photos. I found this bra to be a bit of a letdown, I prefer the look and the fit of SM Czarna Mgielka.

Declaimer - I ordered this bra before I tried the BM Baklazan in 65F, which proved to be too small. I knew that when this bra arrived, it would likely also be too small.
I experienced the same fit issues with the bra as the Baklazan, namely, the cups ... are too small and not projected enough. My breasts are firm enough that there is no in-cup quadding, but I do feel very compressed.

The band on this bra is a firm 60 and feels very secure. I would certainly suggest that other ladies who need a true 28 choose a 60 band in this bra. Unlike the Baklazan which had a lace band (and was very firm), this band is just a single layer of knitwear and will likely stretch over time.

The tulle lining at the bottom of the cups appears to have zero stretch, while the lace lining the top of the cup is very stretchy. This helps to disguise the ill-fit of this bra, and would likely be very accommodating for size changes, providing that the bottom of the cup has enough depth.

The adjustable spaghetti steps on this bra looked really cute in the EM photos, but in real life don't add much to the bra in this size range. In fact, I like how this bra looks online much better than in real life. Without the straps, the bra looks like a pretty basic black bra - its nothing special. I do not think I would reorder this bra in a larger size, I would rather have a brighter coloured BM (maybe La Gloria?!)

Sam from Broad Lingerie is nice enough to allow me to exchange this bra for another, larger BM. If you are Canadian and looking for a local store to order EM through - I would highly recommend Sam. She is excellent and very personable. However, she did warn me that it takes about 8 weeks for custom orders (like a 60 band) to be delivered. I believe that she allows exchanges for all standardized size EM bras, and exchanges for custom bras that are in styles that she sells in the store - like the BM bibi black.

    • You are 100% correct rachaelll. Each and every bra is valuable data regardless of fit and for that I am thankful for both the fits and the fails. (Though we all want the fits far more than the fails!! :-D)

    • Sorry it was a disappointment for you - I loved mine! I still wear it sometimes even tho its a tad small - tho less, now that i have other strappy ewas.

dbmamaz I saw your review of this bra when I was researching which size to buy. It looks amazing on you! I think if I had a little more volume (and cleavage!), this bra would look much better.

You know what would be hilarious? I used to live in Toronto, and I always make a trip to Broad when I visit. Depending on my bra needs next time I go, I may snatch up this exact bra because AFAIK I'm basically their only customer who wears 60FF lmao ;)

You could probably let Sam know. She’d probably reserve it for you sherrach898. It’s didn’t realize that you were not in Toronto anymore. I wish I was close enough to get to Broad....but I’m pretty much as far west as you can get...so far west that I’m on an island. Lol.

sherrach898 too funny! I believe that I first saw the recommendation for broad in one of your reviews for a 60ff BM. There are not many available in the size range and yours were so detailed and helpful.

Calluna I don't know that I really need this bra enough to reserve it, but should the fates align next time I'm at the boutique, I may choose to snatch it up lol. rachaelll I'm so glad my reviews were helpful to you! :)

    Fits

This is a good-fitting, supportive, quality bra. It fits almost exactly like my S Colette, so this review is very similar. I think it fits the teensiest bit bigger and I could probably wear the 28F without the cookies and have a good fit. I have to hunch to get any gaping on the top of the cups and the bra looks and feels like it gives a decent amount of projection. I don't feel like it is taking my breasts and flattening them out like the Comexim Rita and Adore. I love the built-in cookie holders. The inner lining of this bra is softer than the Comexims ... too. I also love that the band is small for a 28 as I have a 25" ribcage. I'm not a huge fan of the bright flower print, but it's not bad. The straps are pretty wide-set, but OK. Also, I had to adjust them to their tightest setting even though I'm not really petit. The seams are somewhat visible with thin t-shirts. The shape it gives is just a little bit pointy, but good overall.

    • Beautiful! If you want softer materials inside your Comexims, order "nude, cotton, cookie pockets" as an alteration. So snugly :-)

    • Thanks! If I ever get brave enough to order directly from Comexim, I will definitely do that. I've been lurking on their website a lot lately.

    • Love4Pollinators Do you know if they still offer the cotton ones? The more recent ones I've been getting have been some weird meshy material that I'm not a fan of. I've never though to specify that I wanted cotton cookie pockets!

    • Indeed, @kermitdafrog I emailed Comexim: just add "cotton cookie pockets" to the list of alterations. I do not like the mesh pockets at all, but the cotton pockets are marvelous.

    Didn't fit

Beautiful, quality bra. It's soft and feels great, but is sadly too big. I think I would need this in an F cup, not a FF. It doesn't have quite as much immediate projection as I was looking for either, so I don't think it's worth reordering in a 60F. I think I need to try a CHP in a 60F. I love the smaller band and 4 rows of hooks. As others have said with EM bras, the straps are very wide. I also have them at their shortest length, and I am not super petit (5'5"). This runs bigger than my EM S Letnia ns S Colette, both in 60FF.

    • This pattern looks fantastic on you! Interesting the variation among the fabric pattern in the same size. Can be frustrating!

Thanks, Love4Pollinators! I like it a lot and it gives me a fuller look, which is nice. I am going to return it, though. It gapes a lot unless I am standing straight with my shoulders back. Can't do that all day.

    Fits

I loooove this bra! I'd been lusting over it for months and I finally ordered it through Jaimie at Bra Obsessed back in February (I'm lucky enough to live in the same city as her)! Obviously the 60 band was custom, but she didn't charge me any extra (we're both morally opposed to Ewa charging extra for small bands). Unfortunately I can wear this on the third and fourth hooks already (the two tightest columns) so I'll be ordering all my Comexims and EM's in 55 bands from now on. I think EM is trying to make their bands more true-to-size lately, but this is just a rumour ... I've heard. No sources unfortunately. But anyway, the band still fits great even on the tightest hooks, and the material is super soft and breathable. The wire width is perfect, the cup depth, apex projection, and immediate projection are perfect, and I think this might be my HG cut! The gore tacks nice and firm, and is super narrow. The styling itself is beautiful, and I couldn't be happier! It's light enough that it functions as a nude for me (in fact it's slightly lighter than my skin tone) but it's great for wearing under lighter and slightly sheer tops. The only qualm I have (besides the band length) is that once in a blue moon, the right underwire digs into my ribs by the end of the day. I'll have to take some notes on when it happens, but I have a suspicion that it might be when I'm on my period and I'm feeling slightly more bloated/swollen/sensitive than usual. So it's probably not even the fault of the bra, it's probably just my own sensitivities.

    • Judging vom the side view I recommend you to go one cup size down in this style. A CHP is not intented to have that much coverage. It still works though, but you would have a better fit overall in the smaller size.

    • Marveille Thanks for your input, but this review is from over a year ago. I've gained a little bit of weight since I first got it so now it's the proper amount of coverage (ie. less than what these pictures show).
