Onto the next review! I had the chance to wear this bra for a solid 10 hours at home yesterday, which included cleaning up, washing dishes, and also laying on the couch for an extended period of time lol.
Once again, these are mostly first impressions. I've never owned or even tried an SF before this, so I was not expecting how thick the lower three panels would be! They are quite stiff. The upper panel of the folded mesh is comfy and accommodating, but I do find that the edge of the lower sections kind of protrudes a little at the horizontal seam, which is causing the slightly ...pointed appearance. It wasn't super obvious under the shirt I was wearing yesterday (a thick black cotton tshirt), but it may be more obvious under the typically light-coloured summer tops that I plan to wear this under the most.
My most important takeaway of this bra is that it has less immediate projection at the wire than the BM style, and this is the first bra (ever) that I've gotten such significant wrinkling and folding at the wire. I think the stiffened lower cup actually exacerbates the problem. That being said, it was not uncomfortable for me, and I didn't feel like I was getting any additional pressure or compression in the bottom of the cup because of it. This is more of an aesthetic issue than anything else for me. However, if that is a make-or-break fit issue for you, I would be wary of the SF style.
The band on this is also quite firm. It relaxed a bit throughout the day thankfully, but it's nice to have a band that runs on the smaller side rather than the larger side. I may remeasure after it is completely broken in, because when I first measured the stretched band length two days ago, I was shocked to see that it stretched to less than 26". This is probably a product of the fact that this is supposedly the smallest cup volume Ewa will make in a 60 band, compared to MamaPagan, Sovavosi, and many others who require a true 60 band but haven't been getting it because of their larger cup volumes.
In terms of appearance, I like the more nutty beige colour, which is darker than my own skin tone, but still blends well under clothing. It does look pretty velvety to me in real life, and I don't get much of that shiny flashback. Overall, it was very comfortable for me, and I'm sure I'll be getting plenty of use out of it! This is a great light weight nude bra. Due to the softer fabric it lays quite well and I don’t get any rippling on the lower cap as I do on my other Sf bra. The inner lower cup is a thicker mesh but still very breathable. It’s very comfortable. I love that this isn’t overly adorned with bows or gems. Just a basic nude like bra. It only has a few simple buttons on the center gore and where the strap meets the cup. The straps are nice, but has the looped edging that can make it a little difficult to adjust. I am in between sizes ...right now, but was recommended to size down to this 65G. The upper cup being very forgiving with weight changes. I think once my mid month weight gain has gone down and I’m back to being my active self after snack binging while on quarantine, this will be a real winner. Especially for the summer time heat.
Panties are the Briefs Deser Nugatowy in size 38. They match very well to this bra. There is a single layer of medium toned nude on the front panel as well as on the back panel, with same color nude lace on the hips that wraps around to the back lower bottom section. There is a seam that runs up the back and there is a small nude bow on the back and a small button on the center of the front. There is a scalloped elastic that runs around the top as well as the front section of the leg holes. There is a nude cotton gusset in the inside of the crotch. Read more 170 more words
My shape: semi-conical, firm, splayed, narrow width, tall shallow roots, size and shape asymmetry on right side.
I’ve been having a lot of problems with my bras lately, painful side boob and sliding. I’m really happy that this one isn’t giving me those issues. I like the SFs, but it has always been a cut that would usually side down on me. This hasn’t yet, and I’m crossing my fingers that it doesn’t.
Nibynic is hard to photograph. In Ewa’s photos, it looked rather velvety. In mine, you can see that the fabric is actually rather stiff and shiny. This bra has the same stiffness as Blueberry but is deeper ...than that bra. It’s a kind of plainness that I love. Non-obtrusive under shirts, and great for days when frilly girliness isn’t your thing.
The straps on this are set super wide and are 1” thick! The band isn’t that stretchy. It measures a little over 23”, which is generally a bad sign. However, it only stretches to about 28.5”; good for those that need a tighter 60 band. It feels really comfortable despite the super wide set straps. Read more 78 more words
This a boring looking bra, but very functional. As with most Ewas, it has narrow wires with a good amount of projection. I like the SF cut as it offers more support in the body of the bra while have a decorative thinner element in the top panel covering the breast.
It is looser in the back than the black version of the same model as often happens with different colourway, but not enough to change size.
I hate this bra so much!!! Ordered through Levana and after waiting months for probably the most expensive bra I've ever ordered, the center wires stab me in the chest like my Cleo bras. I've worn it a few times in extreme discomfort---kept trying because I wanted a minimizing unpadded bra, and it's rare to find an Ewa bra where the band is sufficiently tight.
