  1. Ellace Balcony Bra (CK4401)

This bra is surprising, in a few ways.
Firstly, the band is strangely just one layer of thin, stretchy mesh, not firm powermesh. Secondly, the bottom of the cup makes my boobs... Wavy?? Lumpy?? Not sure what's going on with the seam between the two lower parts of the cup, but you can see in my angle shots there's a strange dip in the middle. And the third thing is the cradle shape. By this I mean that the underwire channeling is super short, but the gore isn't a plunge. This makes the gore almost too high or wide, especially would be if you have super close boobs, ... and the under channeling end very shortly under the arms. What also doesn't help is that the underwires are over half an inch shorter than the channeling, so they're definitely too short in the underarms. I can push the wires away from the gore and into the underarms, which helps, but we'll see if they stay in place.
Despite these few strange construction quirks, I like the fit and overall shape it gives me. I wish the 28E was available to exchange for. By the measurements and reviews here, I was afraid the 28 would be too small. But with the super stretchy fabric, it might be necessary. Then again, i find stretchier fabrics create less flattering back rolls, and would prefer firmer fabrics over tighter band with stretchy fabric.
I LOVE the color... So much I bought the matching panty, which I rarely buy sets! Haha. It's a size 10 and fits without stretching much at all over my 38" hips. This would be fine, as it doesn't cause any cutting in, but it means there's too much fabric in the front and it wrinkles. Not sure if I could be bothered to exchange it for an 8 (granted it's available).
Overall, I like this bra; the style is beautiful, and it gives my boobs a lift. The stretch lace upper cup helps with my tall roots despite the overall cup design being short. My right side is slightly too small, but fits the left nearly perfectly! Will wear for a day at home when I can before determining if it needs to be returned or exchanged. If I keep it, I want to add a layer of powermesh to make the band more firm!

I have the 30E of this one coming soon. I hope that it will work for me.

    • 1

I found this one to look better once is bit too small. The cups give nicer and rounder shape . Also I found the band to be tight, my 32s feels like other brands 30 or polish 70. Size 30 I hardly could breathe and I’m 73cm under bust

    • 2

Looks great on you! I have one coming in the mail too (30E). Can't wait to try it. I opted for the blue since I already have a red bra, but I do love that red. The other curvy kates I've tried didn't work on me (princess, gia, others I can't remember the name of), so I'm hopeful that this one does!

    • 2

Crimson red is a really nice color on you!

This looks nice on you. I've seen a lot of ppl say this isn't quite right for them but they're keeping it because it's comfortable. That's my experience too.

This bra's torturing me T_T I've never had any gore related issues with any of my bras. Not anymore, because this bra came straight out of bra hell to make me suffer! Well, jokes aside, wires on this bra are awful. They are too wide, dig in and sit on my tissue near the gore. The band is really stretchy, so I don't find it supportive.
Someone in their review said the upper mesh is tent-like, and it's kind of true! It wouldn't be so bad on its own, but the elastic trim makes it worse cutting in on top. I think my soft-ish tissue and tall roots are part of the problem though. Side support panel cuts in a bit but it's not noticeable under the clothing. Despite all that this bra's giving me really uplifted and rounded shape so I really want to make it work!..

Me: Average projection. Fuller on bottom. Slightly wider left breast (I suspect this breast is also 1-2 ml taller than my other breast). Usually wear 28DD or 30D.

One of my recommended bras. I bought 30D (my measured size) and 30DD (the recommended bra from Bratabase) because they were on sale (both under $10 each!). 30D gave me slight quad boob but wasn't really noticeable under shirts. Also, the bra lining didn't show under shirts.
30DD removed most of the quad boob but the lining of the bra on the right cup can be seem through shirts. I see wrinkles in the pictures, so there'e a bit of empty ... space on my right breast cup. My right breast is slightly more narrow, which is why the right cup reveals the lining under shirts. I might end up selling the 30DD.

For both bras, the headlights show a bit in thin shirts when it's cold. They're not too itchy and they don't dig in my sides. If my breasts were exactly the same shape, the 30D bra would be a 10 out of 10 for me. I guess I like both bras for different reasons.

    Fits

Cups are smaller than my other 30DD in Crimson (I was banking on it being smaller since it's darker and dark dye usually means smaller) but damn are the wings stretchy!! Even worse than my other! It's WAY too big right off the bat, you can see wrinkling cup fabric under my arms since the underwires didn't spring. Being big to being with, and having super duper stretchy wings (what is with the one layer of weak mesh??), and stiff wires, it takes a LOT to get the wires to spring.

Cups are great accept that the lace is looser than the lower cup portions, but then the top ... elastic is tight, so it creates an in-cup quad effect when first scoop and swooped, but then the top cup edge slides down within a couple seconds of movement, causing it to create a bubble.

I love the style even though the wires are a bit too wide even not being sprung, but I definitely knew sizing down in cup would be disastrous as I've already tried that, and by some fluke it was $14.89 on Amazon Prime (now it's $72???) so I took a chance. Ideally I'd want to try this in a 28E, but it's $54.95 which is a HUGE price difference. I need to just bunker down and sew some freaking black powermesh onto the wings, and it will all be good!! Also might remove the narrow elastic along the top of the lace. What's the point of stretch lace if you're going to have tight elastic along the top edge??

If they could create a slightly narrower-wired version of this bra, with actual powermesh as the wings, and didn't tighten the top edge of the cup, it would be the perfect bra for me. If anyone knows of one matching this description, let me know. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

Update after a full day of wearing: the wires are too wide, so my boobs settle into the armpits, and the cups end up puffy and empty in the upper part of the cup throughout the day. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> It's obvious under tight or thin or clingy shirts, and I continually feel the need to readjust. This bra might have to be a large project: add powermesh to wings, adjust armpit elastic, put in narrower wires, and maybe have to take out some center cup depth. We'll see.

I have wrinkles at the strap/side of the cups as well. I think it's some kind of flaw because my 30Es are both tight (28.5" stretched) which is right around my snug ub measurement. As for the bit of ribbon on the lace, I completely agree and have toyed around with removing it. I think that it's there to make the stretch lace cups appear more closed in. Your assessment of the flaws is exactly the same as mine and yet I love the bran and plan to try a few sister sizes.

    • 1

Interesting that this fits so different from your Crimson red one in the same size. Black and Champagne was the first version from AW 2015. Maybe they fixed a few things in later colorways.

Also agree with Calluna that the wide wires are probably a flaw. I have wide set boobs and get the same wrinkling on the sides in both my 28F (http://bra.pe/XY3C/ less, but the wires are distorted) and 30F (http://bra.pe/XYt0/). You see this on so many girls.

If you are planning a big surgery on this thing anyway, you could try to shorten the elastic between the straps and the band a bit, although I'm too afraid to do it on mine.

    • Calluna aboobaccount
Thanks for the input! It's good to know it's the original design. They must have made the armpit curve too large or deep or something, or didn't pull the armpit elastic tight enough in the older style. Yes I could try shortening it, oh boy, haha.
I do know that in my crimson I didn't like that the underwires seem a lot shorter than the channels and I always had to push them away from the center so I wouldn't get gaping at the side. (and also prevent painful gore digging) This one seems to have slightly longer wires, and a more U shape and more stiff, which is also contributing to them not wanting to spring. I'll have to hold the bras together to compare!

    • Slava-Zone check out my reviews for both Ellaces and the Florence bras. I get the wrinkles on both sides and all three bras (though I returned the Florence). In the Ellaces and Florence bras, I thought that maybe it was because I'm center full and the sides are a little bit empty as a result, or the tension of the band is tighter on the bottom than top go accommodate a v shape torso, but a user on one of the reviews said that she has a v shape torso and it still wrinkles. So I can only see it as a design flaw.

    Hasn't set fit

I am full-on-bottom and this bra works for me.

They are pendulous/loose skin and the lower cup on this bra is so shallow it is nearly like a push-up shelf. I have enough loose skin/pliable tissue that the firmer breast tissue is pushed up to the open part of the bra for cakes-on-a-plate cleavage. A bra with a moderately shallow bottom would half-way fit my firmer/interior breast tissue and give me orange-in-a-glass, however this bra being so shallow it pushes everything up to the top. What I'm trying to point out is that oddly enough this bra is so shallow that it works better than a ... moderately shallow bra for my full-on-bottom breasts.

The underwire is in a well padded channel so it is forgettably comfortable and I appreciate the cup width.

I had to alter mine to reduce the gore width. I sewed the underwire channels together in the front without overlapping, and the sturdy fabric made the operation very simple. I then had to add a purchased bra band hook extender to lengthen the band to make up for the length I took out of the gore.

The ruffles at the top of the cup show under clothes. However, when I paired this bra with a risque little black dress that the bra did not quite fit under, I actually appreciated the ruffles poking out and adding some cutesy/retro style. It make it look intentional instead of simply not having a bra that hid completely under the cut of the dress.

Tl;dr: Despite being shallow, having ostentatious ruffles, and needing a gore alteration, still works very well. Gave a FOB complimentable cleavage.

This bra is really cute but the cut is kinda awkward. It creates a strange quad-boob effect where the fabric on the cup changes from a solid to a sheer fabric. The cup size might be too small. I think I'll try ordering a size up to see if that fits better since it really is a cute bra.

I would say this bra really gives that cakes on a platter look but it noticeably to small on me. when i swoop and scoop my nipple is basically coming above the cup so i definitely would need something taller. The colors are very pretty and vibrant, i don’t really like bright colors bras so the bra accents and over mesh overlay really help tone it down and the ribbon is a very cute pop of color.
For 30 bands this one seems firmer to me but I actually prefer it that way since my rib cage measures around 26”. I think if i’d ordered the 30E the fit would be much better and the cleavage with square neck tops would be a bit more appropriate.

The bra fits in that the cups contain my boobs quite well, and they don't cut into breast tissue. It looks really good from the front, but when you look from the side, it makes my boobs look weirdly pointy. Adjusting the straps squish the breasts and worsens the shape. Unfortunately, the bra makes my boobs look incredibly small.
The band size is nice and snug and the underwires don't dig into the ribcage.

The spot pattern and mesh look very pretty and sexy, so I'm going to keep the bra and see how I can work with the shape it gives me.

Edit: Trying this bra one more time and I figured out why it makes my boobs look weird.
Adjusting the straps short enough so they don't fall of my shoulders pushes the tissue so much into the center of my frame that it looks off. I have very wide-set boobs, which is a shape I am used to. Seeing my girls in the middle of my chest just looks unusual.

  10. Lifestyle Plunge Bra (CK5711)

I had to order a cup size down from my abrathatfits calculator size. The lilac color is lovely. The mesh is not super soft but is still comfortable (and I have very sensitive skin). The wires are somewhat narrow which worked well for me. There is not enough projection on the bottom for me, but I am very projected. There is slight gapping near where the strap connects to the cup, but I am very full on bottom. The gore is pretty low and somewhat narrow, which is very comfortable for me. This is my very best non-Polish fit!

  11. Tempt Me Plunge Bra (SG4001)

November 2015 Update: When I swoop and scoop, I get quadboob. Band is still too large and breasts settle back to my armpits and wires sit on breast tissue. For some reason the seam of the bra causes the apex of the bra to be more east-west than my own already-cockeyed breasts, and they point down too, so creates a terrible silhouette under clothing. I've attached a picture of me pointing at my apex next to the point of the seam so you can see how off it is. I will be so sad to see this go because the charcoal and magenta coloring is the most stunning ... I've ever seen. But, alas, the bra is all wrong and the underwear is too small anyway. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />((

**UPDATE** Now that my breasts are bigger, they definitely fill the cup, but the band is still to large and with the combo of the wires being too narrow, it sits on my breast tissue on the side, and are too low so my breasts want to STILL slip out the side. Also, now the cups point awkwardly down and away, so even though I get sexy moundage at the top of the cups, under shirts, the apexes are seriously east-westing. I just don't think this will ever work. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

Original 2014 Review: This is a brand new bra purchased from the UK eBay site. First of all, it is absolutely gorgeous. The Charcoal/Raspberry combo is stunning. I purchased the matching short with suspenders, and they are mighty fine! This set is beautiful and I just HAD to have it no matter what...which is why the bra doesn't fit perfectly.

I bought this bra knowing that I would have to alter the band tighter. But the cup volume is really good. (Depth from armpit underwire across apex to edge of cup is 6.75, but from wire to wire it's about 7.75. Entering the depth was a bit confusing since the wires on this bra plunge so far in the middle.) When I swoop-and-scoop and have my fiance hold the band tighter, I fill the cups all the way. I don't get any cleavage, but that's because I have wide-set, shallow breasts and there are no push-up pads in this bra. Going down in the cup would probably cut in. If I'm not standing up perfectly straight, or I move my arms forward, the straps are so wide in my armpits that the cups buckle and large gaps form over my breasts. (Can see in images provided) The color is stunning though. Have I mentioned yet how much I love the colors? https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

The wires don't go very high under the arms, so that may be a problem, but hopefully after altering the band the wires and cups will fit tighter against my chest and no armpit spillage will happen. The width of the wires is great though.

While the band doesn't ride up yet (I'd say it has medium firm-ness), I still have to have it on the tightest hook with the straps pretty tight for the cups to press against my chest with no gaping. I hope to make the center gore a bit narrower and the band several inches shorter.

    Pros:
    - Super plunge so it would be great under low necklines
    - Despite plunge, wires luckily do not dig in.
    - BEAUTIFUL colors and the details in the bows and decorative buttons add a great touch
    - Staps are extremely adjustable
    - Cup volume is good - wide and shallow, which is what I need
    - Sturdy band, so when altered it shouldn't be too stretchy
    - The fabric is really extremely soft on the inside of the cups, and the band material is very slippery and soft. Satin is very smooth and soft. Very comfortable fabrics all around.

    Cons:
    - Band is too loose
    - Details will show under thin shirts
    - Dart in lace causes a slight pucker and point at the bust apex; could look like east-westing nipples worn under shirts that aren't tight/thick enough to flatten the points down.
    - Cups gap when arms press against body or face forward.

I wish I could have this in my true size, 28E, but my options are limited money-wise so hopefully altering will work out! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I will add updates once altered.

This one is for fuller breasts. It is very close, but I tend to do better with more lined, molded, and/or padded bras. I do like this one and the fit isn't too bad, a 28 E would likely fit better but I think I would still have a bit of extra space in the tip. My breasts are a bit shallow, so that isn't a big surprise. Very pretty and well made.

    I have the peach/plum color.
This is the first CK bra that has ever fit me in the cups. The cups are a nice shape. They are open on top and don't gape. The cups aren't too tall which is good if you're petite. Even though it's a 30 band it doesn't ride up at all.
I like the 28F CK Tease me and Thrill me bras, but the straps are really wide. I don't have this problem with this size. The strap width is just right. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

This bra in the black and red colorway is gorgeous. The contrasting lace and straps are perfection. The straps are just a little too far apart. They cut into my underarms just a little bit (you can see in the front facing picture). It's not enough to kill it. What may be its downfall is the bagginess on top of the cups. Perhaps it's a shape issue. I am still figuring out that stuff. The band does seem to run a bit tight. I measure at a 28e so the sister size of 30dd should be fine but it is instead, a little tight.

I fell in love with the Tease Me model as soon as I saw pictures of it but, woe is me, I came too late to the party. The colors I was hankering after were all from past seasons and I couldn't find my size.

The closest I came was a 30DD (I'd ideally need a 28F or, baring that, a 30E with a Rixie clip). The 30DD is definitely wearable with the clip but I'd really need that extra half-cup to eliminate the slight quadboob effect I get after wearing the bra for a couple of hours. Otherwise, the shape is great: it gives me the rounded, projected look that I love.

So now I'm impatiently waiting for the SS2014 season because it seems the Showgirl range will make a comeback. There'll be no waiting for end of the season sales. I'll be first in line to buy a set in my correct size so that I can wear it as an everyday bra.

This bra is not a great fit on me except for the fact that it gives a really perky shape. it's a gorgeous colour and very pretty lace and mesh fabric. The cups wrinkle almost everywhere without being particularly baggy (it just seems to pull?). It is most noticeable across the top (I think I have bottom heavy/outer side heavy boobs) and then there is some wrinkling underneath near the under wire too. It doesn't really affect the prettiness of the bra and as I don't wear unpadded or moulded bras under tight tops I don't think it really affects it's wearability. The central gore wires dig in after a few hours wear but it isn't as bad a some. The briefs are very nice and the set looks good so I recommend a fitting as if it did fit it would be gorgeous and probably an addictive style.

From looks alone, one would think it better than others I've altered from very different sizes than my bra size, yet feels absolutely horrible in pretty much every way. Everything I'd seen from this style on others prior to purchase, made it seem that my wide short roots would have been a match in heaven here-yet starting to think this style is not for anyone's shape at all?

Oversized, yet stingy and cramped. Top Spot does not lift, it flattens everything in ... it's path.

While the band and straps are loosened, it still digs, cuts, binds and slices it's miserable way though my underbust. It stabs my sternum, pinches upper bust as it's too narrow diagonally, then cup crinkles down from being too tall which itches around areola, and even binds in around armpits.
Tightening the straps altered the appearance, mainly by increasing vertical indentation from stress lines on the sides, instead of the usual wrinkles & complete flattening of the lower cup horizontally (not sure why raising the cup half an inch does this).

So far the only thing worse I've ever worn is the Cleo Piper, which probably left me with bone bruises. The pain lasted over a month from only trying it on a moment. Still Top Spot is very cute, and I can't help but try it from time to time hoping I've lost some weight and maybe this time it will work.

    Nope!

The cups were too small, but I think the shape wasn't good for me either. I was testing different sizes and shapes.
