Extraordinarily pretty bra with its crystal charm and shimmery silver embroidery. The sparkly top edge is so lovely I totally wouldn't mind if it happened to peak out from beneath my shirt during the day! So far I've found that CK plunges fit best in a cup size down from what I wear in their padded and balcony bras, and Dare is no exception. Wires are medium-narrow, immediate projection is about average, and the low gore is a perfect match for my close-set boobs. The shape is not stellar, but not terrible: more of a natural teardrop. Cup coverage is just a bit more than an Ewa SM. Altogether, a very useful bra for beneath low-cut tops and dresses, and a beautiful one at that. Pretty impressed with Dare!
Finally! A bra that fits in all areas. The underwire isn't too wide on me and the plunge gore fully tacks with no slippage (So awesome!) and the cups contain all my breast tissue with no quadding through the day.
This one is for fuller breasts. It is very close, but I tend to do better with more lined, molded, and/or padded bras. I do like this one and the fit isn't too bad, a 28 E would likely fit better but I think I would still have a bit of extra space in the tip. My breasts are a bit shallow, so that isn't a big surprise. Very pretty and well made.
This bra fit me very well volume wise. I just seem to have a shape incompatibility. I have a problem with the wires being too wide. The wires are flexible so they get a bit wider when the bra is on. I also get a little pucker near the diagonal seam of the cup (freya pucker) because I think the straps are a bit too wide set for me . It is a very soft and comfortable bra. I am pretty full on top and on the bottom as well and I don't get enough immediate projection from the center gore or the bottom of the cups.
Beautiful silver filigree details and gore jewels with grey bows. Stock photos show filigree on the band but this bra does not have that. I worried the embroidery would be uncomfortable but it's very soft skin side. The raspberry is bluer than in my photos. I wish I could get this bra in blush/black because it would look like a tattoo on my pale skin.
If I were a bit less projected, this would fit perfectly. The straps are extremely comfortable, the band supportive, the gore low, the wires surprisingly narrow. My close-set breasts find the cup separation objectionable. And, the photos show the wires stabbing my tissue. I require .1" more wire width, too. Soon, I will try a 30FF plunge which should fit brilliantly....after I narrow the gore. Cury Kate designed the wings to reduce arm chafing: wonderful!! A fantastic comfortable bra for the right set of breasts.
First of all this bra is about a cup size too big for me now. Other than that, the bra is extremely comfortable: the material is very soft, and the low gore makes it very comfortable as it doesn't poke. The plunge shape is truly plunging, which I feel is hard to come by in non padded shapes. It doesn't give much cleavage on me as the cups are a bit roomy but I feel like in the proper size it would give moderate cleavage. The shape it gives is more natural (as opposed to the very round shape an unpadded bra such as the Cleo Marcie would ...give), but it's not pointy either. The back is nice and wide, wider than what most brands do for 28 backs which I appreciate as it makes it much more comfortable and anchored without needed to be too tight. It is reasonably firm, but definitely feels bigger than a 28 in Cleo for example. Regarding the appearance, the bra is semi-sheer as the botton of the cup is lined in power net, but it is still very delicate looking. the embroidery is pretty and there is a jewel on the bow. It is both very pretty and functional for daily wear in my opinion. All in all, a very supportive and comfortable bra. Read more 111 more words
I have mixed feelings about Curvy Kate’s aesthetic choices – some of their bras are exquisitely gorgeous, and some of them have horrible clashing colors reminiscent of Cleo. But the Dare is one of the gorgeous ones. The embroidery is beautiful, and the silver metallic thread harmonizes perfectly with the magenta. Granted it’s not very practical, since sometimes you can see hints of it glittering under a thin t-shirt! (Probably why there aren’t more bras out there with metallic thread.) But I love it so much I don’t care.
That being said, the Dare is a bit of a tricky fit. It is narrow, projected and FOT like almost ...all of CK’s unlined bras in this size, but it has a little less immediate projection than the Portia and Princess, and also less center fullness. Additionally, it’s somewhat closed on top (the diagonal edge, since it’s a plunge), so it needs a pretty specific shape in order to work. Fortunately it works for me; I get some slight wrinkling at the top near the straps on most of my CK bras including this one, but it’s minor enough that it doesn’t bother me. The band is true to size. Read more 90 more words
Ok this bra is absolutely beautiful! I have only worn it long enough to try it on. The band fit me perfect on the loosest hook. There is a lot of projection in this bra and I have some wrinkling at the bottom of one breast and around the middle of that same breast, but the top is filled out and bordering on quad boob. The gore is very low and you could wear it with most low cut tops. It does give a more pointy appearance under clothes. I'm going to keep this bra and wear it for a while to determine comfort and fit and will update soon.
