This bra fits well and supports nicely, but the edge digs in a little too much on top for me, and gives me a little bit of quadboob. The cups are also fairly tall, which mismatches with my shorter root. I'm fairly projected and have pretty soft tissue, so this would work for someone whose tissue doesn't have a tendency to overflow. The color, design, and details are beautiful, the band is snug, but the quadboob and too-tall height makes this one a no-go for me.
My measurements are 27 inch ribcage and 36 inch bust so not sure if i have gaping in a 28g because of that or it's just the bra? Gaping on top of cups and 1 inch crease on bottom of the cups.
After the smoothie didn't work on my shape, I figured I would try Curvy Kate one more time with the Starlet. The wires are too wide and the cups are too shallow. The band feels pretty good though.
I grabbed this on sale, knowing it wouldn't fit in the band, but for only AU$20 I couldn't resist. As I suspected, the band is far too tight for me -- but an extender takes care of that nicely.
The cups fit well. I get a little bit of what feels like quadboob near the gore, but I think it's actually a slight shape incompatability, the gore being too low to contain my inner fullness. When I push there, I don't get any quadboob higher up, so I think this is the right cup volume. I haven't worn it long enough to judge the wire width properly; I suspect ...they're actually too wide for me, but not to an uncomfortable degree, so for now I'm marking them as a fit.
The gore is a little too wide, but its low height means it's mostly out of my way.
The look of this bra is a little overdone for my taste. I could definitely do without the rosebud swirl things along the back of the band.
Fully adjustable straps (with side edging to stop slipping), and 3 hooks in the band, which is lovely. (I suspect I'd lose that if I sister-sized up to the 30FF?)
*Edited to add: holy irritated armpits! Having worn the bra all day, the cups are so high they're sawing off my armpit. Read more 117 more words
This is a very pretty bra, although I do have a few problems with it. The band is the standard 28 sized band, although I would prefer it tighter but that is because I have a 25inch under bust measurement. The cups do go up too far into my armpits, although I have this problem with most bras and it doesn't affect me so much that it hurts or is uncomfortable during the day. After a long day of wearing it the wires dig into my ribs, although it was the first time wearing it, so after time this will be okay, I also have a bony ribcage. It is bigger in the cup than a standard G but overall I am happy with this bra. It gives great cleavage and is great for my close set boobs, it's quite comfortable and is great quality.
So, this is probably one of the prettiest bras I've ever seen, it's in one of my favourite colours to wear and I love the little star charm on the center gore. Given as I just got it today (April 4), I haven't had much chance to wear it. First impressions: It's gorgeous, finally I have something tight enough, I'm not sure if the straps will become a chafing hazard, I think the cups might not be quite the right shape for me (slight wrinkling in the bottom, my mom thinks it fits great, though) This will get updated after I give it a day trial.
Ran quite high under the armpits, made it uncomfortable for me. Love the color, the seam between lining and mesh ran right through my nipple which is also uncomfortable for me. Triple clip in the back makes it very sturdy, and the material felt nice. Was not able to wear this for any length of time, so I have no comments on it's durability or whether it stretches out or not.
The gore on this bra is too high for me and the cups are too small. I have breast implants and I am also nursing so I knew this bra (being my first) probably wouldn't work. Trial and error... Moving on to another brand. It was suggested to me to buy a plunge bra because my breasts are set very close. I also felt like the straps were too far apart and didn't offer support where it was needed.
Not compatible with my shape. Close, but I can't quite fill the bottom of the cups, and the underwires are uncomfortable on the front of my ribs. Can't get the gore to tack without bending the wires, and even then it doesn't completely tack.
I can fasten the band, but it's too tight to wear that way. I would definitely use an extender.
I bought this bra to act as a t-shirt bra for sheer shirts. I ordered a cup size up from my usual but I'd say it's still too small. 28G fits more like a 28F to me.
It's very pretty and elegent but the fit is really off. It does give great cleavage but it's too small for me. The cups are extremely shallow and wide, so much so that I can't fill the very bottom of the cups and the sides have empty space, yet I am quadboobing out the front. I think a 28GG would be a better fit but I don't think this bra works for me.
Fun bra that my husband loves. This is the only bra in this brand that I own as I only lower coverage moulded/plunge styles (balconnette bras do not work on my quite FOT breasts) and the sizing seems to vary considerably. I have this in a 28G and could probably do with a 28GG as my nipples aren't quite covered at the top of the cup, however the frilly trim at the top conceals this, and given that the bra is really geared towards evening/bedroom use I quite like the effect. It gives a push up effect, however on me it keeps both breasts separated rather than providing ...close-together cleavage. The centre gore sometimes pokes me in the sternum after a while so I'm not sure if it might be a bit high for me. I also think the straps are very slightly wide for me, as after a few hours wear they sometimes irritate the side of my armpit. Band and straps are very stretchy as noted by other reviewers, and I do need to wear this on its tightest hooks to feel supported. Read more 79 more words
The underwires are a tad too wide for me. I also found that the material on the top of the cup will wrinkle, and the bottom will gape, depending on how I adjust my breasts in the cup. I feel that this is to do with the underwires and may try Freya next (their 28FF Taylor is a little small in the cup for me but I wear it instead of this 28G). I feel that the gore hurts my chest some aswell, which is to do with the underwires. All in all it is a lovely bra, didn't get any torpedo boobs with it, but the Curvy Kate brand just doesn't suit me.
I tried on the 30FF and it was a bit too big in the cups. This one fits, but the band is a bit tight. It's a pretty bra, but it looks like the side ribbons might come out easily. Sheer fabric on the top part of the cup.
The straps on this bra dug into my shoulders. I could barely keep it on long enough to try it on. It's a very attractive bra. I had the same problem with the 28FF Curvy Kate Emily. That one, an unpadded balconette, also gave me an east-west and downward pointing look. I've decided not to try any more Curvy Kate bras.
This bra is more beautiful in person than I expected, but I found out that the cups are too tall for my body.
The band is quite snug and very comfortable. This is my first three hook band that I've tried, and I really like the support it gives. I like the other CK bra bands I've tried in 2 hooks as well, but the 3 hooks just feel firm around my 27 in ribcage. The bra is in indigo and wine and the colors are just beautiful together. The bow in the center is a little big and looks a little awkward, but not too much.
The top ...of the cup is a sheer mesh with a pretty wine colored embroidered edge. The bottom is opaque satin-y and feels sturdier than the top. The straps are pretty thick compared to the bras that I am used to, but it feels comfortable and supportive. They were located at a good position. The cups came right under my arms to encase the tissue from my armpits.
Now, this bra is a terrible style for me. I seem to have pretty balanced breasts that I thought were full on bottom, but if they're held up, I can see where the tissue goes pretty high on my chest. Yet, the top of my chest is pretty empty. I think I'm actually semi full on top. Either way, I do not have the tissue to fill the top of this bra, or any others with a similar shape or height, so there was a lot of wrinkling at the top of this bra. The shape it gave me is very natural looking without a shirt, but it was quite pointy or torpedo shaped with a shirt on. I got a little bit of quadboob when I put my shoulders back (making it more evident that it's just not the shape for me even if I go a cup size lower). The seem where the mesh meets the opaque material is a little thick and would show under a tight t-shirt.
Overall, this is a very lovely bra, and it feels quite sturdy and seems like it could give some good support, but is not suited for my breasts. Read more 267 more words
