  1. Safiya (592)

I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say this is one of the prettiest bras in existence. The intricate lace (and gore lacey detail), the colour (very representative of the actual colour in the photos I'm wearing it in) and the combination of the black and violet. Safiya is really a beautiful bra.

Add to that it's for some reason extremely comfortable and you have a winner.

I have 70J - Comexim » Bridget Half Cup (554) in this exact same size and yet it's really really different!

For one thing, the band is a lot tighter. Like, A LOT. It's a true 70 band, fits snug, but ... not too tight. For the way I like it I do have to put it on second hooks but that's okay! It's just cause I lost a lot in the underbust and now I'm neither a 30 nor a 32 and yeah. The band is good.

The cups are made of two parts, with one single vertical seam, and they seem pretty short. The top of them is finished with elastic but it's not too tight so I don't get a severe case of cutting into my tissue. The cups are larger. They have to be because they *almost* fit. Like, they are so close. Whereas in Bridget I had obvious quadding on my larger side and that was way before high tide. Safiya bubbles only slightly and I'm at my largest right now, and still it's barely noticeable really. I'm thinking beginning to mid cycle this bra will fit (I'll update with photos next week).
However, unlike Bridget, Safiya flattens me out a little bit. Which is fine, really, sometimes you wanna be flatenned. (I think? The minimising effect looks really nice under some shirts.) I think it might be because of the wide wires, but again, they are narrower than my Bridget.

I'm really confused about the band! Is it a case of vanity sizing for Breakout Bras? So odd.

The gore tacks perfectly (unlike Bridget where it was a soft tack). The lacey detailing on the gore is so so gorgeous.

The straps are wide set and are wide. They adjust long enough! I think I might even need to tighten them a little bit.

That all being said, I can't quite judge the lift in this bra. It's neither here nor there to me, not too lifting, but offers some support. I'm convinced that if it had a second vertical seam the support would be so so much better. But it is what it is.

I'm glad I forgot I ordered this and didn't change the size for my order. I think a 65L would fit, too. But this, I think, is good enough.

    • 1

Thank you! It really is beautiful.

    • 1

      Those colours are gorgeous!

    • 1

I am in love with the colour combo! So gorgeous. And the lace oh my

    • 1

It is gorgeous and looks great on you brasaremean. :-D

There definitely appears to be a difference between BB Comexim and Comexim direct across multiple sizes in both band and cup, so it is not your imagination.

Glad this one works for you!!!

    • 1

I can't wait till you get yours, I'm so curious how it changes with size!

    • 1

Me too! After seeing yours, I'm quite excited about mine. :-)

    • 2

Beautiful! It looks amazing on you, and the lace is so pretty. I'm definately torn about ordering during the sale! I figured this one might be minimizing too since my coco is (it's the same cut with one vertical seam). It doesn't look that minimizing on you though, but I'm sure you notice it. Glad it fits you.

    • 2

that is gorgeous! (and also reminded me of my coco, which i've outgrown)

    • 1

Beautiful! Thanks for the review, I am tempted to get one!

    • 1

Wow, this is stunning! I love it!

    • 1

veggiechic well worth tbh! If Comexim works at all for you don't miss this one out.
dbmamaz if Coco was for sale I'd get it in a heartbeat! So beautiful.
Wilderness1 It is a little bit minimising for sure, but nothing extreme. I think I'd prefer a second seam to give it a little bit more shape at least but what can you do. The lace is amazing though, just beautiful.
      Sonya such a pretty bra!

    • 2

I also didn't expect it to be such a vibrant dark violet! That was a very pleasant surprise as it's one of my fav colours!

    • 1

the bra that inspired me to finally try ewa michalak was a similar color scheme: 70J - Ewa Michalak » Sm Fiolecik (642)

    • OMG yes, that is beautiful! I'm sad when I see all the EM bras I missed lol

    • 1

I wish Ewa would make more bras that look like that/have those colors!

    • Yea it would be awesome if she didn't always play it so safe with her bras.

    • 1

You know, i think I still own the fiolecik. i was hoping i'd lose weight, but instead I keep gaining. I'm a 75K / KK now. Oh, but you are a 70J in comexim, not in UK sizing . .nevermind

    • 1

Ah, I don't think I could fill a J cup even if I wanted to! But thank you :)

    • 1

You could with creative cookies :-D

    • 1

Like stuffing socks inside the bra haha :D

    • 1

Or small water balloons for a more natural feel and bounce. Just don't hug anyone tightly. Hee hee

    • 1

So beautiful on you! <3 I wanted to just get it now in the sale but on the cart page the prices don't appear to be discounted anymore :( Hope I didn't miss it..

    • 1

I think the sale ended at midnight :(

    • 1

The sale prices are still showing on their site as is the Black Friday ad......try removing then adding it back to the cart.

    • For me the prices are without discount! Maybe it's a region thing?

    • I wouldn't imagine it to be, but anything is possible. I just checked it (& rechecked it) and it still shows 15% off. https://www.comexim.pl/en/
It's 7:15PM here though, and while I wouldn't imagine them to be that tuned into your connection device location, maybe it is?

    • Nope, full prices for me on that link as well! Cleared my cache, still full price. That's so weird.

    • 1

If it’s all weekend, you should still see the sale prices or at least be able to use a code. If it’s only for Friday and Saturday, it’s probably not Saturday over there anymore. So maybe that’s it. But I thought that it was was more than just the two days. Maybe try a different browser?

    • 1

Do you see the sale prices Calluna? I added the direct link above.

    • 1

Oh wait...are we talking Comexim direct or Breakout Bras? Clearly I need the food that’s cooking in front of me stat. 😂

    • 2

Conexim direct. When you click the link, do you see the sale prices?

    • 1

Okay....the main page still shows them *but* if I click on a specific bra, the sale data disappears. Go back to main page & it's still there...... I think I found a glitch in the matrix! :-D How weird!?!

    • I don’t see sale prices on the Comexim page.

    • I don’t see sale prices on the Comexim page.

    • 1

Yes, with your link I see it the way you do. Gah! I want hot chocolate soooo bad.

    • 1

It’s so beautiful! Definitely agree that it is minimizing, but some tops, minimizing is better. Love it!

    • 2

My comment was still unspent on my iPad...so it’s a bit out of place.

    • 2

      Unsent, iPad, UNSENT

    • 2

It's a torturous tease, isn't it? Someone forgot to update the main page post sale I guess. Really mean though, as it gives the illusion that the sale is still available.
I want Hot Chocolate too but at this size their plunge styles just don't work for me.

    • 2

Calluna You gotta love the auto correct features, haha!

    • 1

I’m not sure what size I would go with...65H or 65HH...or 65HH or 65J with reduced cup height? I kinda don’t want to try an alteration before I have tried the genuine article though...

    • 1

      I find I don't need alterations tbh.

    • 1

Definitely go with standard first, so you know what you need in that size. Comexim alterations are unreliable, so often it's a hit or miss that they are indeed done. If in doubt, go with the 65HH and request cookie pockets, so if it's too big you can just add cookie. It shouldn't change the cup any aside from an extra layer of thin cotton inside the cups.

    • 1

      You are so lucky brasaremean!

    • In general I'm wary of Comexim alterations, it seems no one is happy with them.

    • 1

When I went up from a 60O to their 60P then just moved the straps in, it was great. Then my boobs grew again and I experimented with the customizations to try an get a fit without quadding & without going up another cup. Failed, they just got wonkier.
Biggest issue is they ignore or change the requests but don't tell the customer they aren't getting the bras done as requested. I had them raise the gore twice when I requested it lowered, and had them raise the cup height with my last order which I requested lowered as well...... One change seems to be the safest limit, but still isn't a guarantee. :-/

    • 2

I ordered 3 bras during Comexim's sale a couple of weeks ago- Hot Chocolate, Amber, and Honey Cookie. They were shipped on the 17th. I requested them made into 3HC, cookie pockets added, reduced cup height and straps moved in. I so hope they work. I ordered them in a 60K. Fingers crossed.

    • 1

Sonya I've considered trying a reduced cup height alteration, but never have. I've requested reduced gore height a few times, which does lower the cup angle overall across the boobs, but I'm curious about the reduced cup height instead? Did you request them lowered a certain amount, or just ask for reduced cup height and leave it up to them? Have you gotten this alteration before... how does it affect fit? (like does it make the bra fit smaller?) How much do they lower the cup?

    • 1

MamaPagan Yes that's what it seems like, maybe due to language barrier, seamstresses just not feeling ok with doing alteration -- these bras are structured so they're supportive as they are, it is possible one small change would make them less than ideal. Most alterations either turn out bad, or they don't do them at all.
Moving straps shouldn't be a huge issue, neither does longer/shorter band, narrower/wider wires (at least from my completely non-professional assessment).
But reducing cups, adding more depth at the wire, changing the gore, etc etc, these all sound like they would drastically change the stability of the bra.

    • 2

I'm not Sonya but figured I'm share what I know. :-)

Comexim goes back and forth with whether or not they will reduce cup height on a half cup. (From what I've read not from personal experience.)

For their plunge styles, they will reduce more towards the strap, less towards the gore, so requesting 1cm reduced height will get you maybe a 1/2cm off near the gore, and 1.25cm off near the straps or so. You can request a specific amount but they will do what they feel is "best" regardless of your request & they won't inform you unless you complain or inquire after the order is received. (This I know from experience. )

I've ordered several standard then reduced height, the difference is only in height not cup overall. If you add moving the straps in, that lessens the strap to arm resistance which can effectively make the cup feel smaller.

As I stated above in the comments (somewhere), I have received bras with the opposite of what I've requested as well. The more customizations requested, the higher the risk of them not getting done, getting done incorrectly, and your bra getting wonky. :-/

    • Perhaps in order to do one alteration (for example reducing height) and still keep the bra functioning, they have to do another (such as raising the gore), and that's why the opposite of what you asked for. Bras work in mysterious ways!

    • 1

Dual typing brasaremean, sorry I didn't see your comment as I was typing mine. I agree! I am also no seamstress (as my many failed alteration attempts have proven haha) so I can't say from a professional standpoint either, but changing anything risks a failure for sure. Even moving the straps in too much can cause it to get wonky, but strap placement is also effected by which hookset you are using on the back as well, so there are unforeseen elements the seamstresses cannot account for. I get why they would err on the side of caution, I just wish they would give their clients a heads up if they can't or won't honor requests.

    • 1

Dual typing again, haha! Sorry brasaremean. When the opposite is done, I really think it is a miscommunication issue. With my last order (Beatrice) Anna and I went back and forth before the bras were made, and she said they could be done as requested without issue, so I think something got lost in the translation to the seamstresses.

    • 1

On a different note I caved and both Belle De Nuit unlined as well and seriously no more bras.

    • 1

Unlined? That should be gorgeous! I can't wait to see it!!!

    • 1

Yes it disappeared from the website a while ago but yesterday I was browsing soft bras and sure enough, there it was. It was what I originally wanted to purchase and the 15% off was still going so I told my manchild about it and of course, he enables my addiction, so one thing led to another, and yep, it's ordered.

    • Also can I just say I adore Comexim straps? Wish Ewa would use those on her bras instead of scallop-y ones.

    • 1

On sale, gotta buy! :-D I'm sure it will look great on you!

    • 1

I haven't paid much attention to the straps, aside from the strappy black Ewa S style one, as it's padded-as in the hole strap is padded and comfortable and perfect. The straps are better than the bra, haha!
I will now have to pull out my Comexims and compare the straps to Ewa's. :-)

    • 1

Wilderness1- I haven't requested reduced cup height before and I don't think I requested a specific amount for it to be shortened. My breasts are just so darn short (or at least functionally short) and my unaltered Comexim plunges in 60J or 55K always fit well but are much too tall. I'm hoping these altered 3HCs will have more immediate projection and much shorter cups.

    • 2

Wilderness1 I've requested them to reduce cup height 2cm before but they only did 1cm. I don't know how they pick what they will do.

    • Sonya I hope they are perfect and fit beautifully for you. :-)

    • 1

Sonya oh ok. When I asked for a shorter gore I didn't specify how much either, but they did for sure do that alteration for me each time. Have you tried their half cups before? I find their plunges much taller/bigger fitting than the half cups. Even with my short roots, the half cups are usually short enough in Comexim bras. I'm interested to see how yours turn out though, since I have such short roots too.
Thanks MamaPagan for the explanation as well. It's good to know how much they reduce cup height. Too bad the request isn't always honored.... I've ordered alterations to each bra from Comexim and they've always been done correctly to order. I've never once had any issues with Comexim alterations (reduced gore, overlapping wires, straps moved in, cookie pockets). I know many others have had problems with special requests. The only issue I've ever had with Comexim bras is inconsistency in band stretchiness, but I can comfortably wear a band from 27.5"-30" so it's never really been a big problem for me.

    • 1

      Thanks MamaPagan. :)
Wilderness1 I have tried their half cups in smaller sizes and the cups were not crazy tall but I'm worried that in a 60K, they will be too tall. The cups on my 60J Victoria are definitely too tall for me. I'm also wondering if I should have ordered 55 bands, but I figure if they don't fit, 60s are a lot easier to resell.

    • 1

Sonya I guess I could have looked at your profile before asking you if you'd tried them before, lol! Well I got my fingers crossed that they fit you perfectly. Can't wait for pictures and a review :)

    • 2

Wilderness1 & Sonya You can actually request the band to a specific length in CMs. While everyone's idea of max stretch varies, Anna will try to get it close. Just send an email letting her know your tight underbust and preferred stretched measurements in CMs and she can add it to your order notes. (Mentioning the flat band measurement that fits you best in their average bra wouldn't hurt either.) :-)

    • 1

Thanks, MamaPagan. That's good to know.

    • 1

Thanks, Wilderness1. I'm really excited to try them. I sooooo hope they work. And I love adding new bras to Bratabase. :)

    • 2

Wow. You did A LOT better of a job taking photo's of this bra than Comexim did. It is TO DIE FOR in your photos! I do wonder how well those seams will go under clothing. They appear to be very thick.
Comexim also have very flexible wires, so even the narrowest Comexim wire will be wider when worn (sometimes to the point of too wide) than when not worn. Many people find their very flexible wires to be the key to their comfort, I feel they need just bit more rigidity. Certainly not panache firm, but firm enough so they don't so easily distort.
If you consider getting an alteration from Comexim I think you would benefit the most from the "over lapping" gore alteration as it would bring you better front and center.
How comfortable/soft have these two non-padded Comexims been? I have found all my padded Comexim bras to just not be very soft with what seems like lower quality fabric to me. And I'm not even particularly sensitive, I just feel like they're very rough not soft fabrics (which seems to be contrary to what most people think). Can you compare how it feels to the Claudette Paramour?
I also think that the bands are much looser and cups smaller for Breakout Bra's because many customers were likely complaining about how firm the bands were, because well most the world just buys what VS tells them is their size, so they look for too loose bands and too small cups and if they order a bra that is not like that, they complain.

    • LeProfessor Actually the wires on Safiya are a lot firmer than Bridget, I actually took note of that but forgot to include it in my review. They're not Panache nor Ewa firm, but they are considerably firmer.

And yeh you can see it in my photos, the seams as well as edges are very visible under shirts (these are my two 'seam testing shirts' cause they are both very thin.

I can't really judge the lace because I haven't washed it yet, but as is it's a lot scratchier than the Paramour. But Paramour is satin and mesh, so it's hard to compare the two. I can tell you the lace doesn't feel cheap at all.

The bra is actually a lot deeper than what it looks like on their model. Not Ewa-projected but definitely not as shallow as it looks in their photos.

I haven't worn it yet aside from for the photos (mainly cause it's a national holiday here and I haven't left the house for 2 days lol) but I'm doing my braundry today and taking Safiya for a test drive tomorrow. Then I can talk more about comfort I think.

    • 1

brasaremean Braundry is my new favourite word!! :)) Compared to the Bridget, do you find the lace on the Safyia scratchier?
And MamaPagan you're absolutely right, brasaremean 's photos are gorgeous and totally sold the bra to me! I had seen it on the website before but I wasn't convinced.

    • Well ofcourse it is not going to feel satiny smooth like the paramour, but i mean more like, if it feels soft and comfy against the skin. I swear I've never had very sensitive skin, but I have seen to grow a strong dislike for rough fabrics.
I look forward to seeing how it goes during the test drive.
And I see, well the seams aren't as bad as they could've been. I totally forgot that you had taken photo's with a shirt on (i must've thought that it was a different bra that had the clothes on photos XD).

What national holiday are you having over there?

    • 1

In a way JulieCS it is definitely a little scratchier. The embroidery on Bridget is a lot thinner and more delicate. On Safiya it's thick and strong. That's the only difference, the actual mesh in parts where it doesn't have the embroidery feels absolutely the same under my fingers.

    • 1

I only wish I were MamaPagan on occasion JulieCS , thank you for the compliment though! ;-)
      brasaremean takes THE BEST photos

    • 1

      LeProfessor It's statehood day!

It really doesn't feel rough against my skin, and I get easily annoyed by rough fabrics.
That being said, the very edges where the elastic is, does feel somewhat rough.

    • 1

Oh, I'm sorry, LeProfessor, mistyped/mistagged! My bad, I'm barely keeping up with these long comment threads.. :))

    • And LeProfessor I did actually ask for overlapping gore on Belle de Nuit so we will see how much better it fares :)

    • Thanks for clarifying, brasaremean! Hope it'll still be comfortable to wear :-)

    • 1

      I feel so special! :-D
I always said that LeProfessor was a younger version of myself, JulieCS, so maybe that was why! ;-)

    • 1

I wore it all day today its really not scratchy/uncomfortable. Just a lot less supportive than my BMs.

    • Thank you for the update brasaremean. Do you feel the lack of support stems from the cups/wires, the band, or a combination of them both?

    • Cup construction for sure.

    • Good to know, so I can be prepared of a potential issue when mine arrives. :-) Thank you!

    Fits

MY SHAPE: Projected, center full, close-set, tall and narrow roots.

THE TAKEAWAY: Ordered as a three-part half cup, this bra has excellent depth. With my stronger-wires narrow-and-overlapped-gore customizations, it handles my center fullness pretty well. Band is very comfortable, possibly to the point where I should be wearing it one hook in. I will measure it and edit this if I'm right.

DETAILS: Super round shape and mondo cakes-on-a-plate, in part because these cups fit me so precisely that they're almost to the point of being a smidge small. The cups are thinner, imho, than in some other Comexims I own, but still thick enough for modesty concerns.

The color is ... a vibrant green that my photos don't do justice, with cornsilk-colored lace that gives a very dandelion impression. The lace definitely keeps this from quite being a t-shirt bra, but an even slightly thicker shirt should be fine, and it's so beautiful. I'm particularly taken with the black accents, and I like the little triangle window in the straps.

I requested the alterations I did because this exact same bra with weaker wires just collapses in the center under the weight of my tissue. It causes a very peculiar fit problem that for a long time had me thinking I needed a K cup -- until I actually tried a couple and discovered that they were HUGE. Oops.

On Comexim's website this bra is actually described as a full cup, which intrigues me, but I've had so much success with the altered 3HC that I'm sticking with it for now.

One very minor note: lately all the bras I've bought from almost anywhere have had a little bit of extra fabric on the end of the rows of hooks, which really increases the comfort when you're on the loosest one. This bra doesn't have that, and I'm a little sad about that. It bumps this down from excellent to good in terms of comfort.

Looks great on you! I actually think I prefer this bra as a 3HC now that I've seen it.

    • 2

oh oops, I just realized it comes as 3HC. Well, it definitely looks good on you then, because when I've seen it before it never struck me as being as beautiful as it looks here.

    • 1

Gorgeous!! Thrilled you found alterations that worked. Squeal :-)

    • 1

      wow, thats gorgeous

    • 1

Wilderness1 no you were right the first time, it doesn't. That's why this bra is labeled CUSTOM ORDER ONLY in small print! If you want it as a 3HC you'll have to order it that way too. Also thank you!

      Love4Pollinators me too ;o;

dbmamaz isn't it?! I knew I had to have it the second I saw it...

    • I wish i could think of any reason I would need that bra . . . but hubby really doesnt much like most bras (just a black lace or two), I'd have to do a LOT of work to figure out the customizations I'd need, and . . . it probably still wouldnt be a good enough fit to wear much. Sigh. (I have one 80M unlined 3hc which I got 2nd hand)

    • 1

Can you explain more about the stronger wires customization? Do I just say, hey, gimme those stronger wires for my heavy boobs kthnxbai?

    • That's such a beautiful bra, and an awesome fit. How's the depth towards the center?

    • triumphof i order through BraObsessed so I'm not exactly sure. I started out by asking for firmer wires but Jaimie has said "stronger" every time. I think stronger wires is your phrase!

gratiat if you tell me exactly where you measure to get the numbers you need I can try and put my tape measurer there. I've never been confident in my cup depth measurements D: Somehow I seem to wind up with the number 11 a *lot*.

I will say that depth at the center is a big need of mine and while I settle into this bra with cleavage, I don't fall out or quad. The fit still feels great.

    • rainbrasspetals That's good to hear. I'm not in your size range, but I find that half cups tend to feel super unstable on me because of the lack of center projection.

    • rainbrasspetals ooh, thanks!

    • Love the review! I love green and wouldn't have guessed this one to be green (doesn't look green on Comexim's site either) so thank you for putting that in your review. This will be my next Comexim for sure!
      @triumphof
When I've customized directly through Comexim, I've just sent Anna @ Comexim an email asking if it was an available option and her reply has been to just add the request in the notes section when ordering. So far it's always just been a custom size for me, but I'd assume it would be the same with any customization request. Anna is super nice so you could always email her and ask to make sure!

    Hasn't set fit

Well, here is my second review of the day on this bra (I also wrote on on r/ABTF). I wanted to try this style out in a longline, and I was planning to order Bubbles as a custom longline & padded plunge: at the last minute, I decided to change my order and just keep the bra as a 3HC (because I thought it would mess up the aesthetics of the bra? Ugh, fit first!) even though I knew it wasn't going to be ideal for my shape.

Can you believe that this bra is *still* comfortable - though not ideal for my shape - and I wear ... it a ton? I'm not sure if I've *stretched out the cups* lol, and that is what is making the bra wearable for me? When I compare the cup shapes between this bra (3HC) https://ibb.co/1rgBDJc and Comexim's Pearl Mint Plunge bra https://ibb.co/zfCtWVC they look pretty much identical at this point! But initially when I got the bra, the 3HC was clearly more shallow near the wire: I do wonder if I've stretched out the cups, I've been wearing this bra a ton, it's comfy because well, it's a Comexim & also the super soft fabric with this design. It's a beauty : )

So, one of the pictures also shows you (yellow lines) where the underwire was sitting when I first got the bra. I also measured between the wires lines and my IMF, and it was exactly 1 inch. Despite that, I still find the bra supportive: the cups still push *everything up* if that makes sense. When I posted this review on ABTF, after someone commented I was reminded that - I think that longlines are kind of *max cleavage* support, since they can be even more shallow than a normal 3HC. Plus, longlines are just cute! I do fasten the bra on the side though, and twist it around to the back; I just don't have the patience or coordination to hook the 6 hook and eye closures, lol.

Despite the fit issue, I love the feel of the fabric & I love the colours. The appearance of the padded 3HC is much rounder than Comexim padded plunges, but not minimized like the unpadded 3HCs, of course. It's well constructed, per usual from Comexim. It's overall just a happy bra and I'm glad I own one. Plus, now I have my very first Comexim longline to compare to, hah!

If you're on the fence about ordering a longline, I say - go for it! Their longlines are cccuuuuuuttee.

I have to bend over a lot for my job…do you find that it stays put or rolls? My one longline bra rolls up, and my longline sports bras do as well. Maybe I should just skip longlines?

    • 1

Calluna , that is a greeaaattt question. so, this particular longline doesn't ride up on me, but now I need to add a bunch of disclaimers. Someone wrote online that the Tara rides up on her (or sometimes "folds over")
I can't speak from experience (because I don't own the Tara) if it's just the fabric on that particular bra, or if it's just the individual person - idk.

It has a line of elastic at the bottom of the longline that kind of grips to my skin. I wouldn't really say that it rides up. So, I don't know if depends on a) one's body type or b) the fabric of the bra. But this is also the first Comexim longline that I've owned so YMMV!

    • 1

Thank you! I think it’s maybe me and my tummy and ribs that are really the problem for me.

    • 1

I love the look of the longline but I think my flared ribs and tummy would cause it to roll up too lol

Oh man. Where to start. How about with the inconsistent bra sizes? I already own a basic that I got at the end of 2018. That one fits great in the cup and despite my weight fluctuations, I’m able to wear the band on the tightest or middle hooks and feel comfortable. With this new one I just got in the mail, it’s just too big all around compared to my 2018 one. The band rides up on the tightest set of hooks and the band stretches to 33”! The cups float away from my body as well as the center gore. I was really hoping to get ... another just like my 2018 version since I consider it my nude work horse moulded bra. Bummer, but this has to go back. I guess if you like something, it’s best to buy multiples at the same time to ensure a more uniform fit. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

Basic briefs: I purchased the briefs in a size large and they fit really well. The fabric is silky smooth with very subtle lace strips up the front on both sides. There are tiny nude bows at the top of each strip of lace accent. Very minimal, but still very lovely pair of panties. The elastic is nude with a nude cotton gusset in the crotch.

Hmm, interesting. I compared it to my 70HH basic padded plunge (I bought it at Breakout bras 1-2 months ago), which I did get to stretch to 32.5 inches when I measured it initially . Although I r.n. I'm wearing 65 bands in ewa michalak (bm), I'm wearing comexim basic in 70.

    • 1

I also tried this bra in a 65J, *way too tight* for me r.n. (amongst other fit issues) Although I did get it to stretch to 29.5 inches.

    • **although I believe I gained weight btwn the two try-ons, so there's also that issue...

    • 2

BraOdyssey It can be so frustrating with Comexim. I currently have the Basic in sizes, 65J, 65K, 70J, not including this 70J I just reviewed. Lol I’m looking for the Goldilocks Basic bra I guess.

  5. Belle De Nuit Soft (585)

    70J

    Didn't fit

Belle De Nuit Soft is one of those bras that looks better in the stock photos than it does in real life. At least on me.

If we put aside the fact that it is (very obviously) too small in the cup, one of the things that bothers me most about it is that the top mesh layer wrinkles so much--it's almost as if it's completely stretched out, or they put more of it than they did the bottom mesh. I mean, I think the photos speak for themselves, it is very visible in all of them. And it is very very obvious under a thin shirt. This is ... my major gripe with this bra... because in the photos it looks perfectly smooth.

Now onto the bra (and fit, I guess).

Cup construction is the same as Safiya. Just a single vertical seam. I already said I feel safer with at least two seams and I find that this is confirmed with Safiya, its support is very lacking. The same goes for Belle De Nuit. No joke, within half hour of wearing it, my boobs were drooping as if I weren't wearing a bra. I mean this bra is obviously a boob hat for me.
It was hard finding the right angle to capture how much I quad in Belle De Nuit. Just for comparison, I put Safiya on after just to make sure I remember correctly, and the cup is significantly deeper and the quadding is not near as bad as in this. It's the same size! How?!
The quad boob I get is my half-cup nightmare and the reason I don't really like halfcups. Oh well.
I feel like, if the cups were just a little higher it wouldn't be so bad.

The band... I can't wear true 70 bands anymore. It's just too loose and I can *feel* it's loose and it was riding up because my boobs were pulling on the straps in the front. This one's clearly on me though... I had a sneaking suspicion I should go for a 65, but I did 70 anyway. For comfort...

On the bright side, the straps adjust long enough!

Wire width is alright, not too wide. I mean the cups are very shallow, so I feel like the wider cup makes up for it. It's easy when you have breasts as malleable as mine, they have enough squish where I can handle the shallow cups as long as the wires are wider. I find this to be the case with a lot of bras I try.

I asked for one alteration on this bra: overlapping gore. I even got confirmation that yes, it can and will be done. As is obvious from the detail photo of the gore... It is most definitely not overlapping. Actually, Safiya's gore is narrower than this.
But the gore as is tacks, no issues there. Pretty bummed though, I made sure to limit alterations to ONE.SINGLE.CHANGE thinking my chances are better if I don't complicate things, but... it didn't get done.

Overall, I'm not very happy with Belle De Nuit. Not because it fits bad (that's not the bra's fault), but because the quality of it just seems... very low, and the size is just not consistent with the other bra in the same cut I got.
On the flip side, the cups seem to have some stretch so I might be able to stretch them out enough to where the bra is wearable. Just don't know if it's worth it considering how lacking the support is.
But with this, I'm sad to say I think I might be done with Comexim.

I’m sorry this didn’t work out for you. It’s kind of awful that they couldn’t be bothered to do one alteration either. If you are sending it back I would complain, maybe it might help 🙁

    • 1

Hm, I don't know if I will be sending it back (either for return or exchange). I'm pretty stressed out right now and I don't know if I wanna be dealing with their customer support trying to communicate what went wrong. Might be smarter to just let go lol.

    • 3

If you are interested in bralterations here are my suggestions: cut out the lining in the cups and line the band with lingerie mesh. The first will give you more depth in the cup and less wrinkles because the cups will be more stretchy. The second will firm up the band, limiting the stretch. I can’t guarantee this will fix your problems but if you’re not returning the bra it’s no huge loss.

    • 1

      Excellent suggestions as always cupandahalf!!

Super sorry brasaremean that they didn't overlap the gore. If it helps, I always submit my orders now with a note "if my customization requests cannot be done as requested, please email me before you make the bras" and I am now emailed with the request concerns and given the opportunity to cancel or work through the details. (Except narrower wires-that juat never happen regardless of Anna saying it's doable.) I always asked for the overlapping gore and *used* to get it, but with the recent orders I am now told they cannot overlap them but will make them touch. Why? The wires are in the way. What?!? The wires aren't at the very top of the gore......It was never an issue before but now the seamstresses refuse. With Beatrice, the wires were like an inch shorter than the wire channel and they still did not overlap the gore. I did take out the center stitching and overlap them myself though. It's not the prettiest job, but it worked. It will make the band a bit smaller if you do a center gore seam like I did, but you can just do at the top instead.

    • 1

Fair suggestion cupandahalf and doesn't take a lot of sewing expertise to do. I need time to decide.

BUT that is a great idea about lining the band! I might do that with some of my EMs actually. Come to think of it, let's say I sew non stretchy mesh to just a part of the band, would that ruin the band or just make it stretch less? Hmmmm...

MamaPagan The thing is I asked and they said yes and I said yay and I thought it was getting done. Like I thought it was well communicated that it can and will be done. I'm just really annoyed that they didn't say no and I would have been like 'well okay' and that's it.

Overall I think I need like 65L from Comexim. I take back what I said about being done with them, I was just annoyed about the change. I know the brand is very good and a lot of women find a good fit in it.

    • I keep saying no more Comexim, yet I keep buying them myself, so I totally get it. And I agree, it is very frustrating to communicate back and forth, be told all is possible and then receive something different. My every Comexim review is filled with facts and disappointments, but then they come out with something new, or something older that catches my eye and then I'm like "Maybe just one or two more..." and I try to tweek my requests to get a better fit. As if I forget the key fact of requests are not honored but are approved and stated as doable by Anna.

I have two Comexim orders on the way, one shipped and the other in production, so I am hoping for the best but have my sewing machine ready just in case. Optomism is the key, right?

    • 2

Fingers crossed they turn out well. I rally wish both this and Safiya had two seams on the cup, I feel like it would improve support by about 100% lol.

    • 2

But the double seams didn't fare so well for @DerrangedDragons19 if you recall.... O.o

Safiya is one of the ones I have coming. Amore Mio, Chevron, and Vogue Purple are the others. The last 3 I've tried prior in a smaller size and they fit when I was that size, so I am hoping the same holds true this time too. The latter two I ordered with a raised gore to see if that stops the quadding and center flop out. Here's hoping for the best!!

    • 2

brasaremean Ack. I'm so sorry. This is such an atrocious fit for you.

    • 1

Ah, what a dissapointment it didn't work out for you! Too bad they only do 1 vertical seam. I was going to order safiya, but decided against it because of that factor. It's also a shame they didn't do your overlapping gore. I've ordered a few Comexims and they've always completed my requests, I don't know why they aren't consistent with them?

    • 2

I'm not really heartbroken about it. I do wish the bra was more true to stock photos but I'm over it already.

Not sure why they didn't do the alteration Wilderness1
      I'm gonna ask, lol.

    Didn't fit

I don't know how I feel about this bra.

It's beautiful, a beautiful mauve colour, the lace is just gorgeous. The bra is comfy. I wanted it ever since Wilderness1 showed me she has one in a random comment I don't even remember when.

And you know, at first look it kinda fits? It fits surprisingly well actually considering two things: the band is extremely loose, and the top of the cups cut into my tissue. I ordered this in 70J (recommended 2 cups up from what I usually wear).
Now, maybe a month-ago me this bra would have fit perfectly actually, but the today me is more of ... a 30GG and so the issues are what they are. Add to it that half-cups just kinda don't work for me (no lift, top of cups cut in, etc etc), and you get this. But I wanted to try it and see for myself if it would work.

But! I think that it's not *that* bad! I'd wear this bra under a thick sweater or a hoodie when I want to be comfy!

Now for the fit. The band is entirely too loose. Even on the tightest hook it feels loose, but at least wearable. I think this is one of the largest 70 bands I have ever seen.

The cups (although beautiful) just offer no support to me. At least, it *feels* like there is no support. In the photos it looks like it has a fair bit of lift. Maybe it's a matter of it being half-cup and I feel like I'm gonna slip out of the cups at any moment! The top of the cups is lined with a little silicon strip to keep the cups in place. How well this 'tacks' I don't know cause I didn't wear it for too long.
I find that it's not too shallow for me, at least for the couple of minutes I wore it. Once the boobs kinda settle down after the scoop and swoop everything is in its place and nothing moves too much.

The wires are very wide, but it doesn't feel like it? It's a mystery. Maybe the wires are a different shape to my EM bras, not that I can tell from just looking at the side by side. The wires overlap at the gore and the gore is a very soft tack. My guess is it's cause the cups are small and the band loose.

The straps are amazing on this bra. They adjust long enough and they're very wide. Love them.

I mean the bra is beautiful, maybe I'm lying to myself convincing myself that it sorta fits? The larger side definitely quads, and the smaller quads somewhat as well. Btw, the lace is very visible under a thin shirt!
Okay, after thinking it through a little, it doesn't fit that much different than the EM bras, I guess? Like I'm comparing photos and they all fit about the same.

That is really beautiful, and it looks like you get a fair amount of lift. Are you returning it? Perhaps it might change a bit after washing.

    • I ordered this from Breakout Bras and returning it would be very very expensive I think, so I won't. I wish there was something I could do about the band cause I think that removing the little silicon strap would make the cups not quad (or possibly would make them very easy to slip off, either or lol).

    • 1

Just a thought, but I almost think if you contacted Comexim directly and asked about an exchange, Anna (the owner of Comexim) may honor it.

It is such a gorgeous bra!

    • Perhaps she would!

I'm thinking what sort of changes I can ask for to make these bras fit better--or if I should just settle for smaller band and larger cup? Nothing about the bra really bothers me, the loose band is horrible though, it's literally so loose it's making my boobs slide out below the bra lol.

    • 1

Yeah, definitely a smaller band. I really think Anna would do it, to gain a new customer and potential new sales. The worst that can happen is her saying no, right? But if she says yes, you get a better fitting bra!

    • 3

It looks amazing on you. That shape was just meant for your boobs I think. If it's comfy, wear the band on the tightest hooks and then get it professionally taken in. It's worth it to have a comfy bra that makes your boobs look that good! Can't lie, I'm jealous that this works for you!

    • 1

If you pull the band just to the right tightness what do the cups do?

I suspect this is the reason you're having a hard time discerning the fit: right now you are getting the illusion of a cup fit briefly and ONLY when you've just put it on and adjusted, because the super loosey goosey band is actually allowing the wires to climb on top of the edge of your breast tissue on the sides here, which even if the cup is small, certainly avoids quadding initially. But that will be short-lived because as soon as you start breathing, moving around, etc. (you know, living) the bra will be moving around too. This makes it hard to figure out cup fit (the age-old "am I quadding because it's small in the cup, or because the whole bra is loose and my unsupported breasts are just lurching up, down and around like drunken sailors?")

So--see if you can pull it tighter or rixie-clip it and scoop/swoop again and observe. It's possible that a tighter band will just give more support and a cakes on a plate boost and then you will know this cup volume is OK. But it could also reveal that it's too small.

    • wendybien Exactly! When I pull it, the cup is definitely too small (even on my smaller side which is telling). Literally bulging out.

I do see Breakout Bras has it in band size down and cup size up (so 30HH) and I'm seriously tempted! I want this bra to work so bad.

    • cupandahalf thank you! I do think it's too small in the cup. It settles down when I'm stationary but the second I start moving around it's bulges all around!

    • 1

It does look gorgeous. I do hope that you can find the right fit.

    • 1

Calluna Breakout Bras has it on sale and with the 15% off coupon it's only like 30 bucks.

    • Thanks brasaremean. It's appealing but it's still around $43 CAD before shipping and tax. It's not enough to qualify for the free shipping to Canada, and the site doesn't say how much it is without free shipping. I know that the listings I have received from the states have been around $10 USD to ship tracked, but I don't know if they ship similarly. So I'm looking at $55-60 CAD. Which is still good. But I'm saving bra money right now for an Ewa BM...

I will keep this in mind for later though, assuming my size is still available.

    • I totally agree cupandahalf that this style of bra was like MADE for you.
The color is amazing. Hopefully the sister size (or sister size plus 1 or 2 cups) has a band thats actually firm enough.

    • 1

I caved and got it (in 30HH).
The more I look at it the more I realise half cups aren't so bad on me?

    • I think non-padded half cups were one the greatest bra inventions ever lol. They fit most shapes, types and sizes of breasts quite well. The padded ones are like....they just never turn out so well IMO. The seams don't seem to do much for a padded half cup. But non-padded half cups, gently shape and hold the bust at the proper level while putting the upper bust on display. They have to designed right though, unfortunately there are many super cheapo ones that aren't designed very good and end up fitting terribly. I feel like this shape works with your bust to support & shape instead of forcing it to be supported and shaped, if that makes any sense at all.

    • 3

Half cups don’t work well on pointy firm boobs. Me and Sovavosi can speak to this.

    • 3

cupandahalf Maybe if the bottom of the cup was made out of steel and at a 45 degree angle, haha.

    Didn't fit

I'm not even sure where to begin with this review. I'll just preface this to say I am extremely disappointed, and really, I shouldn't be surprised, since the last few orders from Comexim haven't been anything otherwise for me.
So I need a bikini top, BADLY, as I can't seem to find one that fits me. (And I don't have the money to order one from Ewa; besides, the one I REALLY want isn't out until next year.) I'm going on a long vacation to Florida in January, so I want to find one that fits nicely before then. Pretty reasonable, yeah? I've ordered so many different ones the ... past few months. I am getting very discouraged. (I have a Dalia one that works semi-OK for me, after I brought it to a seamstress to have the HUGE GRAND CANYON GAPING fixed, but the straps dig into my shoulders and are ITCHY, and there is a little pucker/wrinkle RIGHT where my nipple is from the darts that were sewn into the cup. I also have a 70G St. Tropez that isn't the right cut for me, so I feel SUPER exposed in it. I've been trying to resell it for about 8 months now, with no luck. I also bought, and subsequently returned, four different Ava bikinis from Amazon. Then, recently, two different Curvy Kate ones were tried since I was desperate and they were available through Prime Wardrobe.)
So anyways, back to this bikini. I ordered it directly from Comexim and it came quickly, which was nice. I asked to have it made with the top part of the cup orange, similar to the older style that I've seen online. I also requested straps narrowed 2cm, and to have the band be a 70, but the cups be a 75HH, since those cups fit me much better than a 70HH and a 70J. I received the bikini today, and the label said 70J. I immediately was worried, as that wasn't what I ordered, but I figured maybe they just put that tag on it since my requests maybe weren't understood? I never received an email asking for clarification or anything, and the tops of the cups were orange, like I had asked. So I tried it on, and it's all kinds of wonky. I think they must have narrowed the straps TOO much, because there's a weird wrinkle in the middle of the cup, causing my breasts to balloon out the sides. The band is SO LOOSE there is no salvaging it. There's no way that could be a 70. NO WAY. And the gore, though it tacks, is weirdly crooked, like my larger side breast pushes onto it, causing it to sit at an angle, if that makes any sense.
I just don't even know what to do anymore. I feel like this is a fool's errand, and I won't be able to go swimming on my vacation because of lack of well-fitting bikinis that are even close to my price range.
ARGHKJAGLKSJAH:KJHSKA. Sorry for the rant, but I figured if anyone could relate, it would be you guys.
I don't think I can get a refund since it's got customizations, and I won't get the full amount I paid for it back if I try to sell it, putting me EVEN FARTHER in the bikini money hole. I just can't win. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
I wanted to give Comexim another chance, but this will for sure be the last time I ever throw money their way. I've gotten burned too many times. So if any of you are thinking of ordering, maybe, like, don't? I don't know. It just doesn't seem worth it anymore. Buy at your own risk! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

Oh, honey! I am so sorry you're having such difficulties with the bikini search.
I strongly encourage you to contact Comexim-address your email to Anna Matczak (Co-owner of Comexim) and explain all that is off with it especially the band being way too long. Send photos of the bra with a tape measure next to it as well as a bra on photo for visual clarification for her. It's helpful for her to see the complaints to get a better idea (& due to the language barrier.) My last Comexim order was fully refunded even though it was custom both in size and alterations.
Anna is super nice and really wants her customers to be happy, but also very defensive/protective of her staff (feels they can do no wrong & never makes mistakes) yet also will admit if a bra wasn't made as ordered/requested so you should be able to get a refund.

    • 2

Thank you for the info! I'm feeling super discouraged lately; I'm sure you can understand, since you've had similar issues before. :(
I hate being "that guy" and complaining, but geesh... this isn't the first time I've had a super messed up bikini sent by Comexim! I'll probably do all that you suggested tomorrow; I think I just need to get away from thinking about it and clear my head.
With all that I've spent on stupid ill-fitting bikinis, I would have been better off just ordering from Ewa in the first place!

    • You're welcome & yes, I totally understand your frustration. No one likes feeling like a complainer, but no one needs to accept faulty products either. Anna is really nice & I'm sure she'll work it out for you.

  8. Chloe Half Cup

Me: Narrow roots, narrow shoulders, evenly round, lots of immediate projection, very soft tissue, slightly FoB, slightly centre full, splayed, never met a gore I didn't like, left-heavey by more than a cup size, 31" underbust, but prefer tight band with extender. Panache, Freya size 30GG

Soft cup Comexim 3HC attempt number three: straps moved in 2cm and centre gore raised, cup size up.

I still get the bulge over the wire at the outside edges of the cups and the flattenning on the top outside edge of the cup where the strap would have been originally. But, the raised centre gore makes the ... inner top edges of the cup sit well and reduces the flattened look. I'm going to look into what I can do to modify the shape, but the fit works well.

Chloe is very softly lined with a soft synthetic outer cup with two toned blue embroidery. It has a fairly substantial embroidered top edge. The band is pretty standard and the cup volume matches the Donna and Beauty (bigger than Angel and I found Ginger a little small too).

The wings might be a bit short for me, but we'll see.

Edit: I solved it! I put a dart in the elastic right inside the outside end of the wire. This pulls the top edges of the cup a touch wider, but doesn't change the strap set width very much.

    May 15, 2021: Updated Review:
Due to weight gain this bra is now my go-2 lined bra for everyday wear. Prior to this I was wearing a sister size of 65K, but I find the over all proportions of the 70J cup more fitting to my bust. The apex of the bra is in a much better position compared to the 65K. I wear this bra on the tightest set of hook for the best fit.

    November 26, 2018: Original Review:
I picked up this Basic Plunge after loving the same style in a smaller size, before having my last child, and so far it’s fitting the best out of ... my most recent purchases. Only thing I wish I could change, and I just might have it fixed, is having the straps moved in a little. It sits just ever so slightly wide for my liking. It’s also a bit of a drag that this bra fits me best on the tightest set of hooks, considering my older one ran really small and tight in the band for its size. Only other thing that slightly bothers me is the ripples in the outer layer of fabric. The outer layer doesn’t lay smooth over the under layer of the cup, but can be fixed when I open up the side to move the straps in. Over all this is a decent buy and I’m glad I at least have something on hand that gives me the upfront cleavage I like.

  10. Beauty Half Cup (since 2015 Version) (355)

    Fits

MY SHAPE: Projected, center full, close-set, tall and narrow roots.

THE TAKEAWAY: A gorgeous bra with black lace on the cups and a cream band, done as a 3HC with stronger wires. The band is more TTS than my previous experience with this brand, and so comfortable immediately that I'm considering ordering a size down. For people in my range, I wear a 30G-32FF pretty consistently in Panache/Cleo, and a 70J right now in these bras, but am considering a 65K in the future.

THE DETAILS: This is my go-to alteration right now (3HC with stronger wires + an overlapped gore), as it really seems to suit my shape well. ... The resulting shape is round and fits great, though the black lace does mean this isn't a t-shirt bra. The Beauty is not part of Comexim's "luxury" line, and you can definitely tell, but it's still a gorgeous bra.

The fit of this bra is very similar to the fit of my other recent Comexim purchases (see my more detailed review of the 70J - Comexim » Rosettes Half Cup). https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Comfortable and supportive and beautiful, a total win IMHO.

    • Measuring these bras is definitely on my TDL. I try to measure the band immediately so that I can get that measurement before I've stretched a bra out at all.

    • This is a beautiful colorway on you!

    Didn't fit

MY SHAPE: Projected, center full, tall and narrow roots.

THE TAKEAWAY: Definitely inspired by other similar half-stretch-lace bras (cough 32FF - Panache » Jasmine Balconnet Bra (6951) cough 30G - Cleo » Hettie Balconnet Bra (9011) ), this Comexim bra is a soft cup with a soft unlined fabric on the bottom and a stretchy lace on top. FOT shapes, be warned: there's an elastic strip on the inside of the top lip of the stretchy lace, making it more closed on top than it would otherwise. Hard-stretches to ~33", so it's a bit stretchier than some Comexims. Fully-adjustable straps and four rows of ... three hooks.

DETAILS: I bought this in both a 70J and a 70K - Comexim » Karen, because I've had problems with Comexims not being "big enough" in their padded bras so I wanted to use this as a diagnostic. (Padded bras cover a multitude of fitting sins.) To my surprise, the 70J is actually a little bit too big... arguably.

My particular needs with Comexim, related to my center fullness, are definitely stiffer wires (and narrower gores), so on closer inspection I think that might be what I'm experiencing here, too -- the gore floats a little, and also sits partially on breast tissue, because it's too wide and the wires are too soft to hold their shape against the weight of my tissue. Ordering the 3HC Beauty with firmer wires and an overlapping gore gave me an almost perfect fit there (the gore still only soft-tacks), and it initially had very similar problems to what I'm experiencing in this size.

So, while I initially reported that I thought other customers might be able to go down a size in the Karen, it's proooobably very similarly-sized to Comexim's padded plunge and half-cups.

My biggest note of concern for other boobs fitting into the Karen is definitely the elastic strip that has been sewn to the inside of the stretch lace. It gives the cups a different aesthetic look than they'd have without, gathering the lace slightly, but will probably also cut into FOT shapes. (It's cutting into my tall roots a bit, too, but given the sizing/wires issue I'm not sure whether that would still be the case with an overlapped gore, etc.)

My favorite padded bra! (Currently the only one I have that fits really well!)
I LOVE the way the band is, with the three straps along each side of the hook panels, if that makes any sense. (see pics) I think that's part of the reason it fits me so well. It's like the added elastics give it a bit more give than a regular bra band does. Plus, it's so gorgeous with the black stripes and the little tassel in the middle!
This is one of my best fitting bras ever. I love it!

Part of my first order from Comexim along with 75K - Comexim » Mint Biustonosz (331) and 75K - Comexim » Ingrid Biustonosz (289).

Of the three bras I ordered I thought this style would be most likely to work for me. Sadly it is far too small, by probably one back size and one or two cup sizes, and the size range stops at this "volume" so to speak (it goes up to a 65K, 70J, 75HH etc) so I think I'm out of luck!
Was surprised it fastened even on the loosest hook but I seem to have the sort of flab ... that squishes in a lot, which is not a good look when tested any further than is required to stop bras riding up at the back!

Sizing aside, the bra shape is good; the cups are two-piece and fairly open along the top. Straps are fully adjustable and the elastic is quite sturdy though I would have preferred the elastic to be a little wider.

The cups are very close together and rather narrow- I've read that's a feature of Comexim bras. Wasn't a problem for me, the cups felt a bit narrow on the outer edges but I think that owes more to the bra being too small than the shape of the wiring.

The quality is good and I think the bra is worth the price.

SO not the right size for me. Band is fine, but the cups are too tall and too deep. Finally figuring out my Comexim size. 70 something. Probably GG or H if they come in that?

    I'm sad.

I have had so much trouble finding a bra that fits, and this is by far the most comfortable despite its fit issues.

i'm UK 32FF, dense tissue, narrow, projected, close-set, and I need a lot of immediate projection.

I bought this in 70J according to the ABTF comexim size converter calculator, and I think that this was a close match.

My fit issues: The apex of the cups for these are too far apart, the straps are too wide, and the cups kept pushing down creating the wrinkling at the bottom. Other than that, i think this bra is of great quality!

What I love about this bra: The fabric used is so smooth and soft, yet so sturdy. The construction and look is so basic and sleek. I love the touch of bows on the bra. It's also really inexpensive, pricing at around $40 usd for a high priced bra for Comexim.

I'll get this in a smaller cup size and hope it fits!

I ordered this bra from Breakout Bras. Unfortunately, there was too much gaping in the cups. : ( I compared it to 32G Basic Padded Plunge and I think 32G (70HH) is a better size for me.

Of note: I would consider 30FF to be my accurate UK bra size right now, but I'm borderline btwn 30 and 32 bands presently. Since European bras are known for being firm in the band, I chose to sister size up from 30FF ----> 32F, then add the two recommended cup sizes that Breakout Bras suggests for this style. So, that put me at 32G, and I believe that is the ... best fit me currently.

Also, of note: when I go to the Comexim.pl website, according to their size chart with my current measurements, I would fit best into a 32G/70HH as well. So, the Comexim size chart seems to work okay (*at least in this instance) for the padded plunge style for me. Also, someone designed an app to translate one's best size btwn UK bra size ----> Comexim size/ UK bra size -------> Breakout Bras recommended size. Here is a link to the app http://comeximcalc.herokuapp.com/

Edit: This app was created by Redditers u/mathandplants, /u/EuphoricToe1, and /u/winsbe01 (sorry, I don't know their real names)!

My point is: as long as you know an accurate UK bra size, you will be probably be able to get your size in their padded plunge (*it worked for me at least).

I'm still glad I ordered the 32GG just to compare.

Thanks for the review and the calculator link! I think the calculator is pretty accurate. Unfortunately for me I don’t think the plunge will ever work due to shape mismatch (cries) but the 3HC did so I’m okay with that, lol

    • 1

margesimpson , ha ha, thanks for the comment.

I decided to try plunges after someone commented on an ABTF reddit page re: plunges being good on FOB & projected types, I believe.

The first plunge that I tried was actually this Chantelle St. Germaine plunge bra https://www.bratabase.com/browse/chantelle/saint-germain-plunge-3411/ which is a discontinued bra, purchased it online.

It ended up not working out (I actually didn't add it to Bratabase, I should've but I didn't think of it) because the band was sooooo firm (I bought a 30 band). The firmest band I've ever tried: I guess Chantelle (European brand) is known for being esp firm in the band, I believe. Even though the band was so firm, the straps were way too big. Also, the cups were kind of flattening my chest, and gave me an unflattering look. lol. So, not a keeper at all - I sent it back.

I don't think Comexim padded three-part half-cups (padded 3HC) would work for me at all - and that's just a guess based on what they look like, and I'm not brave enough to try them anytime soon, lol. Maybe after 6 months, or something. But I think that's about 1/2 of Comexim's collection? Of course, there's no where I can go and try on Comexim bras in my city, I can only order online (it is what it is!).

I don't think their padded 3HC's would work for me b/c of my overall body proportions - and this isn't really talked about on this website, but I'll bring it up: I don't wanna be so padded in the front when my butt is so flat (currently!) Lol. Maybe I need to go to the gym and start doing squats. But I don't wanna be so padded in the front, and flat in the back, lol, I just want to be proportional.

I want to try again Comexim's unpadded half-cups - as long as their lightly lined that would be okay. I think it would be a good look for me to be a little more "minimized" sometimes. I'm happy that the padded plunge seems to work for me a.t.m, but I still gotta look for bras that work for other outfits. Also, for summer bras (so, something lighter). Thanks for the read! : ) : ) Take care.

    • 1

margesimpson , sorry I have some further thoughts (of course) later on...

I guess Comexim has this more extreme plunge style, e.g. like this bra https://www.bratabase.com/browse/comexim/ginger-plunge-bra-365/

I haven't tried it at all, and I'm not exactly sure what type of shapes this more extreme plunge would work for (I'm center-full, so I'm not sure if I would fall out of it...),but it's something to consider, I guess.

With the Basic Padded Plunge, it would still show with some of my V-neck t-shirts, so this more extreme type of plunge I might try later on, perhaps it's better for summer? At the same time, this might be horrible on me, lol, so I.d.k....

    • 1

Okay, I just read re: the comments on Ginger, " it doesn't draw the bust forward like most polish bras" so I'm not sure I would ever try it.

I'm not a fan of the "East-West" look, and I also need projection (immediate projection, I believe) in the cups, so I don't think their extreme plunge would work for me. (not that you asked...lol : )

    • 1

LOL yeah I’m hesitant to try the extreme plunge too I think I would fall out of the middle too...Thanks for the thoughts on it!
Ah yes the days when we could go into stores and try things on. Now I do way too much online shopping and returning and selling etc. But as long as there are some good finds here and there, it’s good

So this bra was my first Comexim plunge and I was positively impressed!
With zero alterations (ordered form a reseller) it was actually pretty comfortable!
Especially the adequate strap separation was a huuuuge relief for my armpit area.

At first I thought this 70J fit reasonably well (somewhat small yes, but no dealbreaker) and I wore it quite often for a month or two.
Then it turned out to be actually smaller-fitting than it looked, mostly because of the wires partly resting on outer breast tissue (bit too narrow).

Passed it on to a friend and re-ordered it in 75J, because it was on sale (LaceLingerie) and that was the only ... larger size available.
That size does fit slightly better in the cups, to be fair though I'd still probably need a larger cup volume and definitely a smaller band.
So I'm thinking if 70K (my normal Comexim size and sister size to 75J) would suffice, or if I'd need a 70L in Princess?

Figured I'd take in the band to make the 75J fit me better - but because the cups are still borderline small, I haven't done so up until now.
Do get some wear out of this bra especially for days when I don't feel like a firm band!

I currently own this in a 65J, but sometimes when I’m feeling a little bloated during my time of the month or having back pain, I want something a little roomier. Since I had good luck switching between my Comexim Basic in 65J and 70J, figured I’d give this a shot since it’s one of my favorites. Well, it didn’t work out quite like I hoped. The cups are just too large for me in this size, with the straps being a little too far apart. The quality and construction is the same as my 65J, but due to the fit I’ll be returning.

So I've worn this a few times, and at first I thought, oh yes! Another unpadded Comexim that works for me! But the more I wear it, the less I like it. It doesn't feel as supportive. I don't know if it's the mesh fabric or what, but it just doesn't feel like it lifts my breasts at all. The band is nice and firm, the gore tacks, the straps don't dig into my armpits; everything that should work, does, but I just can't wear this bra for more than one day. Usually, I wear a bra for two or three days before washing it and then letting ... it "settle" or whatever for a few days after before wearing it again. But with this one, after a few hours it just starts to feel... saggy? I don't really know how to describe it. It's an odd feeling like I am not wearing a bra, but not in a comfortable way. I am hyper aware that I AM wearing a bra, it just isn't being supportive anymore, if that makes any sense.
Other than my weird, picky issues, the bra is really lovely. The color is a deep red (my favorite!) and the black edging is a nice, dramatic touch.

    • 1

I agree with Comexim unlined bras being unsupportive. I'm not sure what the exact difference is with their design/fabrics, but I always end up with my boobs hanging way below the wire (if that makes sense) in Comexim's unlined bras.

    • I know what you mean kermitdafrog21 ! The Moulin Rouge is like that for me, and the Eve, to a lesser extent. The only one I really like is the Emily; I have two of them, and they are super comfortable and feel more supportive. I wear them quite a lot, and they are both over a year old, so I'm starting to prepare for the loss of my favorite bras to old age. :(
dbmamaz what Panache unlined bras do you have? Any recommendations? I've been sticking with Polish brands, since I like the narrow wires, but I wouldn't be opposed to trying something less expensive, hahah!

    • Uh, Panache full price costs more than Ewas on sale, for sure. The only ones I have now are Jasmine, which is so projected as to be too 'pointy' for some people, esp if you are FOB; and the Tango, which runs bigger in the cup and seems to be a great shape for my Omega boobs. I'm wearing 32JJ in both of those, but I'm a K in ewas now. I outgrew my Comexim.

    • but i mean, you could click on my name and look at my bras, right?

I was really excited to try this unlined Comexim, so when it finally came today and it was such an odd, uncomfortable fit, I was really disappointed.
The top of the cup doesn't lie flat against my breasts, like the Eve and Emily styles do. (I love those two models so much!) The elastic across the top just doesn't seem to be tight enough or something. It's a shame, because the lacy top is really delicate and pretty. The whole bra itself is beautiful, but it just didn't fit me at all.
The band is pretty snug, and I asked for narrowed straps, but I'm almost positive that wasn't done, because they sit really wide on my shoulders. I also asked for a raised gore, and usually that ends up being around 3.3-3.5 inches. This one measured to be 3, so I don't believe that alteration was done, either. Sigh. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
I really wanted a nice fitting, black unlined Comexim. It just wasn't meant to be with this particular bra, however.
