    Fits

My shape is low set, short and narrow rooted, and soft.

I was surprised by this bra, because I was expecting to get a padded bra. It's a 2HC (half cup with one vertical line), and it is a soft cup. I normally take Comexim soft cups in one size smaller than their padded cups, so this bra fits but doesn't provide the level of lift or support that I like from a soft cup. The straps are wide and supportive. The band is slightly stretchy (I could have stretched it more but the cups were distorting). The band has 4 x 3 sets of hooks, which is awesome. ... The cups themselves are quite stretchy inside. I could probably have quite a bit more volume and they would still fit (maybe that's why I get those lines along the inside?), but there is a thin black lining along the cups upper edge that may cut in if I had a lot more volume too. The bra itself is pretty, and the patterns are black flowers that are velvety to the touch. The pattern comes up higher onto the cups upper outter edge, and ends wtih a little bow on the strap. Pretty, but I don't have enough upper fullness to make it stand out. I requested straps moved in 1 cm and overalapping gore. It looks like these alterations were done.

Overall it's beautiful, excellent quality, and comfortable... but I really wanted a padded bra....

It looks pretty. Sorry it's not what you were expecting.

    • 1

Thank you.. It is a pretty bra. Once I get over my surprise and confirm with Comexim if it really IS a soft cup on their website, then I'll come to some kind of acceptance and can start wearing it, lol.

    • 2

I hope everything gets figured out. It’s a very beautiful and classic style.

    • It is a soft cup, I have the same bra.

    • brasaremean well my bad for not looking closely enough at their website then. Oh well... Guess I'll just have to order another padded bra to make up for it.

    Didn't fit

Belle De Nuit Soft is one of those bras that looks better in the stock photos than it does in real life. At least on me.

If we put aside the fact that it is (very obviously) too small in the cup, one of the things that bothers me most about it is that the top mesh layer wrinkles so much--it's almost as if it's completely stretched out, or they put more of it than they did the bottom mesh. I mean, I think the photos speak for themselves, it is very visible in all of them. And it is very very obvious under a thin shirt. This is ... my major gripe with this bra... because in the photos it looks perfectly smooth.

Now onto the bra (and fit, I guess).

Cup construction is the same as Safiya. Just a single vertical seam. I already said I feel safer with at least two seams and I find that this is confirmed with Safiya, its support is very lacking. The same goes for Belle De Nuit. No joke, within half hour of wearing it, my boobs were drooping as if I weren't wearing a bra. I mean this bra is obviously a boob hat for me.
It was hard finding the right angle to capture how much I quad in Belle De Nuit. Just for comparison, I put Safiya on after just to make sure I remember correctly, and the cup is significantly deeper and the quadding is not near as bad as in this. It's the same size! How?!
The quad boob I get is my half-cup nightmare and the reason I don't really like halfcups. Oh well.
I feel like, if the cups were just a little higher it wouldn't be so bad.

The band... I can't wear true 70 bands anymore. It's just too loose and I can *feel* it's loose and it was riding up because my boobs were pulling on the straps in the front. This one's clearly on me though... I had a sneaking suspicion I should go for a 65, but I did 70 anyway. For comfort...

On the bright side, the straps adjust long enough!

Wire width is alright, not too wide. I mean the cups are very shallow, so I feel like the wider cup makes up for it. It's easy when you have breasts as malleable as mine, they have enough squish where I can handle the shallow cups as long as the wires are wider. I find this to be the case with a lot of bras I try.

I asked for one alteration on this bra: overlapping gore. I even got confirmation that yes, it can and will be done. As is obvious from the detail photo of the gore... It is most definitely not overlapping. Actually, Safiya's gore is narrower than this.
But the gore as is tacks, no issues there. Pretty bummed though, I made sure to limit alterations to ONE.SINGLE.CHANGE thinking my chances are better if I don't complicate things, but... it didn't get done.

Overall, I'm not very happy with Belle De Nuit. Not because it fits bad (that's not the bra's fault), but because the quality of it just seems... very low, and the size is just not consistent with the other bra in the same cut I got.
On the flip side, the cups seem to have some stretch so I might be able to stretch them out enough to where the bra is wearable. Just don't know if it's worth it considering how lacking the support is.
But with this, I'm sad to say I think I might be done with Comexim.

I’m sorry this didn’t work out for you. It’s kind of awful that they couldn’t be bothered to do one alteration either. If you are sending it back I would complain, maybe it might help 🙁

    • 1

Hm, I don't know if I will be sending it back (either for return or exchange). I'm pretty stressed out right now and I don't know if I wanna be dealing with their customer support trying to communicate what went wrong. Might be smarter to just let go lol.

    • 3

If you are interested in bralterations here are my suggestions: cut out the lining in the cups and line the band with lingerie mesh. The first will give you more depth in the cup and less wrinkles because the cups will be more stretchy. The second will firm up the band, limiting the stretch. I can’t guarantee this will fix your problems but if you’re not returning the bra it’s no huge loss.

    • 1

      Excellent suggestions as always cupandahalf!!

Super sorry brasaremean that they didn't overlap the gore. If it helps, I always submit my orders now with a note "if my customization requests cannot be done as requested, please email me before you make the bras" and I am now emailed with the request concerns and given the opportunity to cancel or work through the details. (Except narrower wires-that juat never happen regardless of Anna saying it's doable.) I always asked for the overlapping gore and *used* to get it, but with the recent orders I am now told they cannot overlap them but will make them touch. Why? The wires are in the way. What?!? The wires aren't at the very top of the gore......It was never an issue before but now the seamstresses refuse. With Beatrice, the wires were like an inch shorter than the wire channel and they still did not overlap the gore. I did take out the center stitching and overlap them myself though. It's not the prettiest job, but it worked. It will make the band a bit smaller if you do a center gore seam like I did, but you can just do at the top instead.

    • 1

Fair suggestion cupandahalf and doesn't take a lot of sewing expertise to do. I need time to decide.

BUT that is a great idea about lining the band! I might do that with some of my EMs actually. Come to think of it, let's say I sew non stretchy mesh to just a part of the band, would that ruin the band or just make it stretch less? Hmmmm...

MamaPagan The thing is I asked and they said yes and I said yay and I thought it was getting done. Like I thought it was well communicated that it can and will be done. I'm just really annoyed that they didn't say no and I would have been like 'well okay' and that's it.

Overall I think I need like 65L from Comexim. I take back what I said about being done with them, I was just annoyed about the change. I know the brand is very good and a lot of women find a good fit in it.

    • I keep saying no more Comexim, yet I keep buying them myself, so I totally get it. And I agree, it is very frustrating to communicate back and forth, be told all is possible and then receive something different. My every Comexim review is filled with facts and disappointments, but then they come out with something new, or something older that catches my eye and then I'm like "Maybe just one or two more..." and I try to tweek my requests to get a better fit. As if I forget the key fact of requests are not honored but are approved and stated as doable by Anna.

I have two Comexim orders on the way, one shipped and the other in production, so I am hoping for the best but have my sewing machine ready just in case. Optomism is the key, right?

    • 2

Fingers crossed they turn out well. I rally wish both this and Safiya had two seams on the cup, I feel like it would improve support by about 100% lol.

    • 2

But the double seams didn't fare so well for @DerrangedDragons19 if you recall.... O.o

Safiya is one of the ones I have coming. Amore Mio, Chevron, and Vogue Purple are the others. The last 3 I've tried prior in a smaller size and they fit when I was that size, so I am hoping the same holds true this time too. The latter two I ordered with a raised gore to see if that stops the quadding and center flop out. Here's hoping for the best!!

    • 2

brasaremean Ack. I'm so sorry. This is such an atrocious fit for you.

    • 1

Ah, what a dissapointment it didn't work out for you! Too bad they only do 1 vertical seam. I was going to order safiya, but decided against it because of that factor. It's also a shame they didn't do your overlapping gore. I've ordered a few Comexims and they've always completed my requests, I don't know why they aren't consistent with them?

    • 2

I'm not really heartbroken about it. I do wish the bra was more true to stock photos but I'm over it already.

Not sure why they didn't do the alteration Wilderness1
      I'm gonna ask, lol.

    Didn't fit

I'm not sure what's happening with this bra. My shape is projected, full on top and centre with tall and narrow roots, very close and low set which is self-supporting. It is important to note that I have a cleavage (due to the breasts being close together) and my nipples are way above my IMF (self-supporting) and a bit out (due to centre fullness) when unsupported. When leaning forward to imitate the state of my breasts supported in a bra, my nipples are higher and more centre.

My last Comexim was an unlined 3HC (Bianca) in 60HH and when I posted a fit check int the ABTF Facebook group ... one comment suggested me to order 60J in the future. So, I got this bra from another user who only tried it on. I was worried that 60J would be too big but a 2HC should fit shallower than a 3HC, so I tried anyway.

The band is snug like a standard 28 band with 3 hooks.

A major difference between this bra and other Comexim bras I have tried is that the side of the cups is really high. The gore height is about 3 inches (higher than my unaltered 60HH 3HC) and it still looks like a plunge bra with a very downward slope from the sides. Luckily I have a low set and a long torso, so this does not bother me. But if you have a high set, short torso or have the problem of bras rubbing in the armpit, this is likely to be an issue. I have tall roots so I fill out the cups fine even though the sides are so tall, so I imagine there will be gaping in someone with short roots or not much upper fullness.

The wires are soft, narrow and follows my IMF closely. The gore is a little bit high and the top does not sit flat due to my close set.

In this 2HC, the outer portion has a much larger area than the inner one. I'm not sure if this is applicable to this particular bra or all unlined 2HC models in Comexim. The fabric is soft and REALLY stretchy, which brings out the most important issue of the fit. I feel like the bra does not give me any lift and support at all. When I lean forward to imitate a supported state, then stand upright, my breasts sinks into the cups. My nipples are placed "low and out" like their natural, unsupported state. This feels more like a wired bralette to me. There are also some wrinkles near the centre and top of the cups.

    https://imgur.com/a/MjzjZ6Q

This collage shows the nipple placement in this bra, an unlined, non-wired bralette (to show my natural, unsupported shape), Comexim Bianca 3HC in 60HH, and Panache Jasmine in 28F. I hope the markup shows clearly how my nipples are more "out and low" in this bra and the bralette but "in and up" in the other bras. You can also view fit pictures of the other bras in my profile.

I have shared my review and the same pictures in the ABTF Facebook group and most comments suggest that this bra is supportive, better fitting and looks more comfortable than the others. Many think my other bras are too small as I have a more visible cleavage in them.

I'm not sure if I'm crazy here. Have I been wearing too small cups the whole time but not know it? I'm not sure what is causing my feeling of not being supported and lifted - are the cups too big or the fabric too stretchy?

To conclude, this bra is likely to work for someone who is at least somewhat projected but not extremely, with more top but little centre fullness, slightly narrow and tall roots, an average to low set with not very soft tissue.

You're not imagining it... this bra does have quite a bit of stretch in the cups. For what it's worth, I think it looks really good on you!

    • I think it looks good. Better on you than me because I am higher set and shorter waisted.

    • Wilderness1 Calluna Thank you! Unfortunately I'm not happy with the amount of lift it gives so I have listed it. I hope it can go to someone who is happy with the fit!

    Didn't fit

This bra was a gamble. I had wanted to try another soft cup Comexim. While I am not normally a 60, I gathered that this bra was pretty stretchy in the band and might fit closer to a 65.

The bra is a beautiful mix of sheer black and beige mesh with black velvet flowers. It’s a lovely pattern. The cut was intended to be a 3HC but it is, in fact, a 2HC.

While it’s a snug band, I can do it up, but it would be more comfortable with an extender. It’s a 4x3 tape and the extra row helps, as does the taller band. ... The 3 hooks just seems to help distribute the tension better. The straps are actually quite wide, but silky. They adjust long enough for me with average to high set boobs. The strap placement, on the other hand, is quite wide. They are pretty much eating my armpits. The cup height, depth, gore details are all fine except that it’s just not flattering on me. I’m not sure what it is but it’s not good. Is it because it’s a 60 band? Or maybe a 2HC?

Whatever the reason, it’s just not a good match for me. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />

    • How does the wire width and projection compare to the lined 3HC's of the same size or its sister sizes? Thanks!

    • This one is unlined. I’m not really sure. I tried a 65HH Bridget 3HC from the same user and it was miles away better. I have a 70H lined 3HC but it’s a little bit small so a little hard to compare. I do have all the measurements.

    • I don’t think it was super wide or shallow but I also haven’t worn it much. It feels like it’s decent projection for a 2 part cup.

    • 1

The straps are too wide set coz the band is too small, so basically you’re forcing the bra to close so the straps are running to the sides to stick with the band. I believe you’d be fine in bigger band size as the band would do so much work.
Overall the bra looks really pretty!
From pics this looks better than Tara IMO 😄

    • 1

Calluna Thank you! I have an unlined 3HC in 60HH and am thinking of getting another one in 60J but worried that it will be too deep.

    • kate166 , my measurements are always taken with a bit of tension, if that helps you any. It’s closer to 9” if don’t flex it some. But I flex it some because on the body it will have some tension from the band.

martka00 i thought this might be the case, and I tried to use an extender, but it wasn’t a remedy. Maybe a 65 or 70 band would fit better. But it’s possible that it is wide set like this because it’s a 2 part cup instead of 3.

    • extender wont fix the thing. I've been through this and always ended up letting go the too small bra. But that was my experience.
I think 2 part vs 3 part wouldnt make any difference - but I might be wrong. Worth asking Anna or Joanna about that?

    • Maybe. It’s listed. I’m more interested in finding out more the padded sizes right now. I’m waiting on a reply from Anna about the fit of the two I got recently.
