The cups of this bra are too small and narrow. What a pity, I found this one for $10 and would have loved it to work out. It's a beautiful bra. The red plus white dots pattern is so cute, it reminds me of fairy tales. I also tried the 30DD and it almost worked, but the top of the cup was slightly too deep.

Bought this to try and it doesn't fit so I can't say much about it. Standard black lace. Comfortable snug band.

It fits very well for my after breast feeding boobs. I have the most volume under my nipples and soft tissue. I need middle wide hanger and cups which are not too deep. The marcie gives me a round forward and upliftet shape. I have a great cleavage with this bra.

I love the color of this bra and it is comfy. Sadly the band is very elastic and started to be loose after 3 times. I recommend to buy this bra a band smaller. The cups are wide and shallow and it don't need a lot volume on top. The material is smooth and comfy and I like to wear it, but I will shorten the band soon.

    Fits

A 30D felt like a longshot to me for fit, but I ordered it because AMZ was having a huge sale and offering free returns on the 30D, but not the 28D. Also, reviewers' consensus was that the fit was a bit small. Well, the bra does fit, with the exception of there being a small gap in the top of the cup on my smaller side-- fixable with a cookie and besides, this bra is like a bulletproof thing that stands up by itself so it's entirely unnoticeable. Also, the wires are wider than they need to be in that they go about 1/2" ... around the outside of my roots under the arm. This is actually comfortable and not at all a problem-- the cup is so shallow that there is really no gap in between cup and skin there. Lastly, I only could get the band to stretch out to 28.5 inches (maybe I don't pull hard enough on these things?) and am super glad I did not order the 28D, because this bra on the middle hook on my 27" ribcage is actually painful. (It's fine on the loosest hook, just as it should be.)

Looks like this model is being discontinued, but between now and then, these should be able to be obtained pretty cheaply on AMZ. This one (black with pink) was $14 US. My first impression of the bra was that it was clumsy, hard, and likely to give a bad shape under clothing. But after messing around with it and realizing I was wearing it too low, causing spillage on top (even with my shallow top) and a gap in the bottom of the cup, I simply moved the bra up and it fit fine. I think after a little breaking in I might like this one. This is my first Cleo so I don't know how the sizing compares to other Cleos, but both the cups and band seem to me to run small on this bra. Generally speaking the cup is shallow, good for wide roots and also good for shallow on top girls.

Update: I've had this bra about a week now. After writing the review and entering the measurements, Admin wrote me to ask me to double-check the cup width; at 5.2 it seemed too wide. I remeasured and got 5.2 again, but realized that the wire on the bra might be stretched out, because the fit I was getting was wide (going past my roots, as noted above) and shallow. So, I squished the underwires together a little so they would not be so wide and the cup would be a bit deeper, and --voila! the bra went from something I'd decided to return because of an unflattering (flat) fit to a bra I needed to quickly order another of, because it fit perfectly. I have adjusted the "new" cup width to 5.0. Since this bra has been further reduced to $10, ordering a second one was an easy decision-- I now very much like the fit on me. It looks great under most tee shirts, unfortunately the bright magenta trim shows on thinner ones but other than that the bra is great. The second one arrives day after tomorrow, so it will be interesting to see if it measures the same.

More stuff: since commenting that I though the bra would be good for shallow-on-top ladies, I visited the abrathatfits website and looked at breast shapes and decided that far and away mine resembled the center pic --2/5-- so maybe I am not actually shallow on top after all but even. So please take that with a grain of salt.

Also: this might be a little overkill since the bra is about to be discontinued, but differences were noted in the reviews on the website between bras made in China and those made in Thailand (those being made in China tending to run smaller in the cups). This bra was made in Thailand.

The 30DD is only $9, so I sent my baby sis-- an augmented 28/33 cup size up from my natural 27/32-- an email telling her to GET ONE, though as she is probably more of a half globe now (I haven't actually seen her nekkid), this bra might not work on her. I also have yet to convince her to move down to 30 bands, even after giving her a 32D b'tempted balcony and her raving about the fit. Maybe these things take time? She is still freaking out that her "new C's" are actually D's or DD's. Hopefully she'll get over the sticker shock soon.

09/28-- second bra arrived. It measures exactly the same as the first one after I messed with the wires, save the band is 1/2" shorter unstretched. It also arrived in an obviously new bag with actual balled up paper in the cups (why don't they do this all the time?). So I think the first bra had already been tried on by someone and they somehow managed to distort the wires. These two match so exactly I cannot tell them apart.

Comfy, but too tall/stiff/straight-up in the cups - creates a ridge under shirts.

So, I just tried the Cleo Neve in 30DD, which was huge on me; I would have thought that the Jude in 30D would be the right size. But no: everything was too small on this bra. The band is too tight, the straps won't extend long enough, and the cups come in at the top to produce an impressive quad-boob. It's otherwise a cute bra, and I wish it fit.

Of the unlined bras I own I find this one the most comfortable. Probably because it has a band under the wire in contrast with the Lucy and Kali.
This one is also a tiny bit to narrow on my slightly bigger breast.
The bra gives a nice shape uplifted round shape.

The Kali fits me comparable with the Cleo Lucy, so this one is also a tiny bit to narrow for my slightly bigger right breast. This one gives a bit more lift then the Lucy does, I like the shape a bit more.

Gives a nice forward shape. The seams show a bit under thin tight shirts, but thicker shirts are okay.
Because of the thin fabric the white colour doesn't show as much as most white bras would.
    Great light bra.
Not my best fitting bra, it is barely wide enough. Left side fits but my slightly bigger right side the wire is a tiny bit to narrow. I like this bra for hot days though.
Because the Lucy has no band below the wire the wire can be a bit uncomfortable when I am slouching.

This bra is absolutely lovely, incredibly soft, and super comfortable!
The band is more stretchy than my Lily and I can pull it back a fair amount, it it hasn't been a problem for me. The upper mesh doesn't have much stretch which occasionally leads to some quading.
The shape is a little subtler than what I get from my Lily.

I have the Parrot print version of this bra. The fabric wore in really well. It's still sturdy and supportive but got really soft. It used to fit when I got it. The volume was just about right then although the wires have always been a little bit narrow. Now that my boobs have grown the narrow wire has become much more of an issue. When this bra was the right size, the shape and projection were good but I did get a bit of wrinkling in the top section. I have an even, conical, slightly splayed shape and this bra worked well for that. I used to get a round shape and a smooth line across the top of the cup. The 30 band is spot on for me as well. I'd like to try it in a 30DD or even 30E. I think in a bigger size I would get the width I need in the cup as well. Unfortunately of course, this bra is discontinued and the Parrot print in particular is hard to get.

Gore simultaneously angles sideways and presses into chest. I can stick a finger down the inner side of the cup, and the top wrinkles. Wrinkles so extend from straps down the whole length of the cup.

Marcie's nude colorway was pretth much the closest I've been to a nude in my skin color, which was nice. The fit not so much. Through the middle it wrinkles tightly and gapes a bit along the top.

This came from Amazon, and the wires were so straight, the folds so creased, it almost looked like it was flattened by a steamroller. Outside of fit issues, the biggest thing I noticed was that the lace/mesh is very fragile, and seems to thread at a look. The band can stretch 10", but starts deforming the wires after 1.5". It actually fits alright at first glance, but it calls for a little more upper fullness than I have, even during shark week.

The straps seem a bit shorter than is average. I'm not sure if they're digging in or if the fabric doesn't agree with my shoulders, bit either way there's some irritation there. The finish on the little flower patterns isn't great, I can see stray bits of string when I wear the bra. Wires are wider than I need.

I do like this bra. I picked it up on Amazon because a commenter here on bratabase suggested it'd be good for wide, shallow breasts (which previous misadventures with Marcie suggested I had.) While I agree, I don't think it's wide and shallow *enough*, and the wires are painful for me at the gore, which is too tall for me. It also makes my size difference ridiculously obvious, because it's a bit too small on the larger side and way too big on the smaller side.

The geometric overlay shows through thinner shirts as well.

  20. Marcie Balconnet Bra (6831)

I was nervous about getting a bra that wasn't molded because I had never once had a good experience with them, always getting pointy shapes with wrinkles at the center or by the straps. This was absolutely NOT the case with Marcie. I could not have been more happily surprised that all the glowing reviews applied to me too.
Now, the process of acquiring it was interesting, since I didn't want the slim pickings of colors in my size on any of the American sites, so I took a stab with Bravissimo for the Cobalt colorway and had a friend about to visit from England ... pick it up for me and bring it over with the full expectation I would be stuck sending it back with her. Instead, I now have a perfect summer bra that provides a natural but rounded shape, full support, and a band that is the exact right length. Even the gore is finally narrow enough for my close-set breasts, a chronic problem I have with balconnets that seem to believe all breasts are at least an inch apart at the apex line (spoilers: NO).
I absolutely intend to stalk future colorways.
