Holy cow this is a tight band!!! (as many others have said). Also as many others have said, there is a cup flaring issue that tends to happen on one side.
Whatever it is, the weird cup edge is blatantly obvious under shirts; see my pic in the yellow t-shirt. As much as I tried to rationalize keeping this bra, I saw that picture and decided I'm not going to walk around in public like that.

Unfortunately, for those reasons, this bra has to go back...which is a huge shame because it really should be the perfect bra. I do love that the cups don't have ... all that heavy padding in them... the foam is relatively thin, flexible, and comfortable. It's too bad.

*** NOTE per SOPHISTICATED PAIR website:
"Neve suffered from defects during its initial run where the cup would crease outward near the center; however, I have been assured that the problem has been rectified."

    ** EDIT **
I've ordered a 32D. I liked this bra so much that I wasn't ready to write it off yet. I thought more about the cup curling and realized that the curl was happening on my larger side, and a few other reviewers said the same thing. I checked out the cup depth of bras that fit me well, like my 28E - Cleo » Jude (5846) and my 30D - Cleo » Jo (5696) , and the depth on those (7.3" and 7.0", respectively) is at least 1" more than this Neve which measures only 6" deep. I then looked up the one 32D Neve on Bratabase and it seems to be more on par with my Jude and Jo, so I'm giving that size a try. Will post updated review when I receive the replacement.

    ** EDIT II **
New review posted and the 32D fits! Check here: 32D - Cleo » Neve Plunge T-shirt Bra (7196)

I absolutely love this bras. This is probably the closest bra that I have to my old VS bras. However I'm 90% sure it doesn't fit! but neither do my VS bras. This one at least is tight in the band.
The straps do seem to be digging in at the longest.
The little decorative design at the top will show through tight shirts.

After wearing this for a few minutes I can tell it won't be comfortable for me.

This was the first bra I ordered after finding bratabase and the reddit thread a bra that fits; after wearing 34A/B for 25 years and constantly dealing with ill fitting bands/cups I was excited to try my new correct size. This is a wonderful bra - the band fit snuggly, the molded cups fit my breast shape wonderfully. The only thing was the 30D cups were too small - the underwire cut into my side breast. I have since found that I need a 30DD in this model. I ordered the 30D on Amazon on sale. And I did end up returning it, hoping to order the 30DD - unfortunately that size was not on sale. So I did not order the larger size. As soon as I can find it on sale, I will be ordering it though!

    • I am glad that you have found some bras that work better. The Cleo Maddie is known for running small in the cup - I feel this way about it myself. As every brand and every style is a little bit different in sizing, you may find that you fit best into 30DD in some styles and 30D in others. If you like the Cleo Maddie in 30DD you might find that the Cleo Juna and Cleo Neve Strapless might work too. Freya also has some good styles in 30DD and 30D>

Much better than the 28D in the same bra. Oddly, the 28D actually looks bigger on me...Not sure how that works. Wires on this are much better than the 28D and the cups don't look quite so narrow-set, but they're still too narrow for my shape. They also still expect more inner fulness than I have. So this one's getting returned too.

Sooooo. Long story with the bra : was one of my first "serious" ones.
    At first :
I was a 30D, and the bra was more or less O.K. Bras like this one never quite fit on the top (for me), but that was pretty much everything. Took me a while to get used to the sternum and the band. However, it was GREAT on the sides.

    But now.
Well, I guess it got a bit old, and I changed a bit. The band is too loose (I sometimes even need to put it back in place) and the top issue got worse. however, it's currently still confortable to wear.

However : The marks I get when I leave it allow me to see that the cups are quite low compared to my breast (and I need them to be, or it used and still do get uncomfortable), and I'm wondering whether this mean it didn't really fit or it's a normal thing... ?

    • Since you changed Maybe your boobs are heavier or bigger and pushing the band down. Or the band is too/big could be why it's slipping down.

    • 1

marks being too low could also be that the bra is too shallow in the bottom, and your breasts push them down. but if the bra band is also loose, im more inclined to think that's the issue.

Thank you for you help !! :D

    • frenchshallow No problem! Actually it's really fun helping. I am constantly learning different things about bras and how different all us women are in the boob department. It's a fun hobby. I like it! <3

I rarely get unlined bras -- I much prefer the shape and tiny amount of added bulk I get from molded/padded styles, haha -- but this has somehow become one of my favorite bras. It's gorgeous and fits me very well, giving a nice rounded shape. The cups are a tiny bit too small, but I got a great deal on this one and I'm too afraid to let it go for a swap! I'm just looking forward to trying the 28E/30DD when the yellow Marcie comes out. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Also, the center gore dug into my sternum at first, but I bent the wires a little and now it's no problem.

    Found my bra!!!
I have reviewed a 28DD Lucy recently (http://bra.pe/RDRv/) and while I love it, the band is too tight. This new Lucy in my sister size of 30D is as close to perfect as I think one can expect. I feel like this bra was made just for me.

I've had such luck with Cleo bras so far, I'm actually looking forward to (instead of dreading) trying other ones, like the Cleo Marcie (6831) and the Cleo Meg Balconnet (6751) . https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />

This bra is gorgeous. The details are impressive and so cute. The bow, the button, the lace, the polkadots. I love the look of it and hope that I can get a good fit in it.

As it is the band is quite firm and I can probably stick with this size 30 though I am curious how well a 28 would fit. The center gore lies flat which is super great.

The cups, well they are way too small. I am hoping to be able to work it out though.

It's a very comfortable bra and its colours look much better to me in person than in the photos I saw on the internet before I bought it. Like its sisters, it's a very good bra for wide root shallow boobs.
Its cups run fairly small, similar to the Juna's, Rita's, Darcy's, Rihanna's and Cara's (Rita and Darcy have the widest/shallowest cups in my experience, but there isn't a big difference between these and the others), so a 30DD fits me better most of the time.

  11. George (5131)

I love this bra, as it's comfortable and was the first unpadded bra that looked good on me. I used to wear it in a 30C and have now bought two in 30D (coral and turquoise). It's a great bra for wide root shallow breasts, although the thinner part of the cup usually wrinkles a bit. These wrinkles disappeared after I had worn my 30C George several times, and they don't show under shirts.

This bra is really perfect for rather shallow boobs with wide roots. It's comfortable, looks nice and gives a good, round shape.
Unfortunately for me, the cups are a bit shallower than the Juna's or Ellie's cups (they are similar to the Darcy's), and so it doesn't fit me a 100 per cent right. The top of the cup cuts a tiny bit into my breast tissue. I'd say the bra is a really small 30D - the cups of my 30C Cleo Brooke are a bit deeper.
All the measurements I took are for a used Rita, e.g. the band might have stretched out (I bought this bra used, so I wouldn't know).

This is a nice quality bra but does not fit me. I have been actively losing weight, so I bought this when I ordered some other bras. I havnt ever bought bras this size and forgot that, the US and UK sizes would be equal in this. I think it was listed as a 30D US, which I thought it would be bigger because I wasn't really thinking. Unfortunately it is too small for me even with my recent weight loss. Last I knew I was a 28FF. The band Is slightly larger than I need because I need firm 28 band, but it's not way too big. ...

This is a cute simple moulded underwire plunge bra. I have the same bra in a larger size and I have really liked it. I had been eyeing it because I have always liked plunge styled bras even though moulded bras are not always ideal for me. The bra is black, with a little a polka dotted bow on the front gore. There is a sturdy hook on the straps so it can be connected in the back but I don't find it super comfortable. (I could probably make it more comfortable if I played around around it more.) There are 4 rows of 2 clasps to adjust in the back.. There is no push up, which is fine. The cups are not too wide in my Cleo bras which I prefer on my petite frame. I will probably rehome this because I think this will always be too small, but I know someone will appreciate it.

    • I rehomed this bra to my littlest sister when she came over to my house yesterday. She told me she only had 1 ill fitting old secondhand VS bra with only ONE row of hooks that was so stretched out. She tried on this 30D Cleo bra I had bought accidentally, and another bra that's a 60H that fit her so much better! This comment may sound like a humble brag but it just was so awesome seeing how much more comfortable and confident she was. She thought she was a 34B or C and was wearing an old 32D. I sent her ABTF calculator and reddit (i only quickly measured her over clothing) and Bratabase and some other links to check out later.

I really like the colour of this bra and I thought it might work, unfortunately not. I had a similar issue to other people with a gap at the top of the foam but the lacy bit fitted very well. I think if the foam was connected to the shoulder strap this bra might fit. The gore tacked well but I found it was uncomfortably low. I wasn't too keen on the sparkly straps and they were a bit of a surprise because I didn't see them on the photo when I ordered!

I bought this bra in both 28E and 30D, because I saw a review saying it was too big so I thought I would try two volumes, though I normally wear a 28E/30DD. The 28E mostly fit while the 30D was too small in the cup. Ordering my usual size would have been no problem; I do not recommend going down a cup size.

Here is my thorough review of this bra, but for the better-fitting 28E: https://www.bratabase.com/bra/dn7o4/#review

This bra is definitely not for me. It's a pretty color and the bra material felt nice. The cups are too large, so there's a lot a space at the top of the cups. This bra would probably fit someone who's fuller on top; I'm full on bottom with slightly different-shaped breasts.

  18. Marcie Balconnet Bra (6831)

Marcie was one of my best fitting bras when I was a 28DD/30D size, and I wore it all last summer. However, I always felt that the fit was good, but not great. Something just seemed a little off, though the bra was comfortable. After revisiting the fit, I realized that this is because I was in a 30 band, which just didn't provide enough stability for me, and the cups were just a little bit small. Though the bra fit me snugly in the cups, I really needed longer wires and a little more room in the cup as well as a tighter ... band.

I am currently wearing a size 28E, though now I think my problems in the 30D would have been solved if I had been able to get a 28DD instead. So, for this style, I would stick with your snug band size and do not try to sister size. The sister size will probably feel comfortable and look OK, but Marcie really needs a snug fit for the cups and wires to fit properly.

I've found, however, that version of the bras with no printed text on the underwires fit me best. Some of the bras are made in China and some in Thailand, but the older model without printed underwires all fit well. However, there's something weird about the versions that have the print on the underwires, and I am not sure why. I've ended up reordering and swapping out every Marcie to be sure I get the older version.

One problem I tend to get with Marcie is that the underwires tend to behave oddly at the gore without some adjustment. Some of them cross at the gore, and others just poke inward until the bra is properly adjusted. Once it's adjusted, there's no issues with comfort, but it could be why many other people have commented that Marcie's wires are uncomfortable.

This is a 3 piece soft mesh cup, with double-lined bottom cups. The upper cup is fantastic on this bra, since it's embroidered mesh with no additional edge elastic. The natural stretch of the fabric helps it fit a number of different breast shapes without being too closed-off. The cups are embroidered with polka dots and the upper cup is embroidered with butterflies, but the embroidery and seams are not visible under clothing. Straps are nice and wide, and I like the texture, which helps keep the straps in place. The band is firm powermesh with a leotard back. Unlike Lucy, Marcie has a full band, so it feels extra secure on me.

I own this bra in 3 colors in 30D and in 2 colors in 28E, and have also tried on the 28F. Currently, 28E fits me best, though the overall bra feels a bit snug now. I tried sizing up to 28F but it was way too deep and tall in the cups. For now, 28E Marcie is still my best-fitting unlined bra. It's a bummer that it's finally been discontinued!
