Hi!!
I would like to share with you a funny moment. Please, excuse my English,as it is my second language and I don't have an English person to talk to.
Today,I received the two bras ordered some weeks ago, Cleo Zia (new size,30DD) and Cleo Bella. As soon as I arrived at home,I began to try them on,adjusting straps, swoop and scoop etc, ... meanwhile my mom entered in my room doing some laundry. She looked at me,but without a slight sign of happiness or enthusiasm that I got nice bras. So, I showed them in her face, asking what she thinks and things like that. Soon, she replied something like : " Yeah, but you won't get any new bras in the nearest future, because you have too many". I said that " Ok,until this two bras will tear up,I won't because I am going to wear them". So I resigned myself until she continued the conversation, adding that she was reffering to ALL my bras, not just these two. I was really shocked..and I asked her with a sad mood : "Why this? You are the one who conviced me to buy soft bra with just underwires and to wear no more heavy padded bras. I don't understand...".
The funny thing is that she looked at the shape and lift these bras gave to my breast, and so she really thought that these are another usual PADDED bras that I used to buy, being unhappy with my chest size, and that she used to hate. She changed her mood and said that she's very glad that now I'm wearing something that fits a lot better and that she couldn't believe that such bra does exist!
Thank you for your patience and I hope it was kinda nice text for reading! I'm going to take measurements, write reviews (eventually some comparisons), take pics of my new bras.

Long story short, sort of. In smaller sizes, it's hard to come by unpadded bras that aren't too deep for most people. However, with unpadded bras you can get away with a deeper cut and get a rounder shape with less digging in (I don't know why, if someone has a theory about this phenomenon I'd love to here it). So in smaller sizes, unpadded bras are generally deeper, but the same is true in larger sizes. Unfortunately however, this manifests itself differently since there are different typical shapes in each size range.
The Marcie does tend to work well on smaller breasts if you're looking at that particular one. If not that one, I'd inquire about your specific model and brand here and see if anyone has any experience with it. If no one has experience with it, I'd find a site with a good return exchange policy if you want it that badly.
Hm, maybe it has to do with cup depth vs. actual breast root depth/width? Like, from one side of my root to the other over my apex is between 8 and 8.25 inches, but I fit best into a cup with about 5 inches width and 7.5 inches depth. So does that mean I should look for unpadded that is closer to my actual breast size? Of should I go down a cup or 2 and find unpadded that still has about a 7.5 inch depth?
