This bra is now too big for me, but it never fit me perfectly. I think the straps are too far apart, maybe just because my shoulders slope forward a bit. I love the wide straps and the color is gorgeous. The crystals (clear plastic) and the lace are great if it's your style - kind of wearable burlesque. The cups gaped a tiny bit when I bought them. Could be the size wasn't quite right then either. Satiny sides and beneath underwire, mesh back. This bra is sturdy and nice if it fits well. Besides the poor fit, this bra was always very comfortable.
This is a heavy duty bra, yet manages to be very delicate at the same time. I really wish it fit, but it looks like I"m going to have to size down. It also appears to be too deep for my shallow boobs.
Update: This has become my most-worn bra! It's so comfortable and the fit is just right. I hope Parfait will introduce many more bras with this style.
Original: I have both the Charlotte Balconette and the Charlotte Padded underwire bra. They are both in size 30DD. The balconette is too small on me but I love the style and the peach/black colors, so I purchased this model. It fits and it has excellent side support and great tall sides. My husband absolutely loves the balconette model, but this one barely gets a yawn. I pointed out to him that it's styled like that "Roaring 20's looking bra" he loves so much, but he just shrugged. He says it looks like an ordinary, everyday support bra to him. Oh well - I bought this for myself anyways. It wears under just about everything and it gives better lift and shaping than most "t-shirt" type bras.
I have the Dusty Rose version of the Charlotte. I absolutely love this bra but it is tight in the band. I am glad I went for the 30FF and not 28G version I was originally considering. I did have to adjust the straps of this bra to get it them to stay. I would highly recommending ordering up from your normal size in this.
This bra is glamorous! Makes me feel like a pin-up or a can-can girl. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> This bra works well for my shallow breasts, and the high wings contain my tall root well. Plus the wings are boned! The fabric of the cups is a little stiff, but I'm assuming it'll soften up with some wash/wear. Plus its not noticeable under sweaters.
This is a beautiful bra - it is American and good value! What's not to love?!
Well, for me, most things. It is too wide, and too small in the cups. There is not sufficient projection at the base of the cup for my boob, and the central gore is both too high and too wide for my close set boobs. I wanted to like it sooooo much - but it just doesn't work in too many ways for me to want to keep it even as a bedroom bra.
The band is comfy, but too big on me. It has 4 hooks which is great, if it fits!
- Band is pretty tight, almost as if it's a 26. - Wires are too narrow for me. The inner and outer ends of the wires dig in. - Contrary to many reviews, I don't find the cups to be shallow.
I recently learned that I have been wearing the wrong size for years! This bra has only been tried on a few times. It has never been worn for longer than a couple of minutes. The band is true to size and the cups hold their shape. I ordered the wrong size and would like to find this bra a new home.
This bra is very comfy. It fits well. I range between an FF and an F cup size and I went with an FF. the band seems more like a true 30 than most Parfait bras.
This bra is beautiful - unusual, vintage-looking, and elegant. Unfortunately it's an awkward fit for me. It's a good bra for showing off what I have of cleavage, but the tops of the cups are too closed for my jiggly tissue.
I have only worn this bra for a few minutes, as it gapes too much at the top. I have determined that I am more full on bottom, and this just isn't the right shape for me. It's a beautiful bra though.
This is a lovely, simple bra that feels very comfortable... but it's too big for me. I think it may run large in the cups, as I have 2 bras that are 32DDs that are too small for me, but this 32E is far too big for me. I would love to have one in 32DD, though.
This is definitely the best fit I've found to date. Unfortunately, it isn't as uplifting as I'd like, and the side slings slightly misshape my very soft breasts, so it doesn't look too great in a profile view https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> But the fabric is very silky and comfy (which makes it far superior to my Cleos,) the sides actually come up high enough to keep my boobs from sneaking back out, the band is the perfect firmness, and generally it's just lovely. The bow pattern is so cute too!
This bra is so comfortable, especially the 4 hook band! Unfortunately the cups are too high, and they rub against my underarms. So frustrating, because other than that I really like this bra!
This bra has the reputation of running small in the cup and tight/firm in the band, but I found that although it definitely does run a cup size small, for me the band fitted true to size and did not feel unusually firm.
I currently wear 30FF in Panache and lined Cleos; 32F in the (notoriously tight-banded) unlined Cleos. However, in the Charlotte Balconette, I need to exchange this 32FF for 30G, since I can easily pull the 32 band four or five inches away from my back even on the tightest hooks.
Speaking of the hooks, I love the three-hook closure and the wideness of the band to each ...side of it, which equals less back fat. This is the only bra I have ever tried on that has wings wide enough and wires high enough for me! (Although I'm petite, my breasts are rooted fairly low on my chest.) It contains sideboob and gives a lovely, smooth line under the arms. The Charlotte is pretty much perfection in that department.
If you need low wires and/or narrow wings, stay far, far away from this bra! Ditto if you have narrow and/or sloping shoulders, because the straps are the widest set I have ever encountered. Even my broad-for-my-height shoulders are barely wide enough for them.
Looks sexy as hell. (I'll definitely be getting matching panties when I get my 30G.) Gives a nice, rounded look under clothes; seams are somewhat visible, but I don't care about that. Gorgeous bra at a good price point. Read more 143 more words
It's the most comfortable bra I've worn in awhile. It feels like most of the readily assessable bras in my size range are either for Grannies or nursing mothers, so it's nice to have such a truly cute bra. The color, the lace, the tassel on the bow. So cute! It can feel a little industrial on, the straps are so thick. And it seems to get less comfortable the longer I wear it, or if I get any kind of sweaty at all. So this is maybe a cute, going out bra. Not a wear all day to work bra.
I got this from another Bratabase user, brand new, still with the tags on it. I had just listed my own in the same size and color, so was hesitant to get another one. I haven't verified the measurements between the 2, but I think they are fairly similar. However, this one does seem just a tad larger in the cup than my previous one. I get only a tiny bit of spillage, but not enough to get worked up about at this point. It's beautiful. I've lost my absolute love of Parfait, as the fit seems to have changed somewhat from the first several that I tried, and the last several that I've gotten have not been a great fit at all. This one falls somewhere in between for me I think, not great, but not awful either. It's pretty but not one that I'll wear often.
