    Didn't fit

So I was intrigued to see Panache was putting out a cut and sew foam cup bra, and when finally (finally), it became available grabbed one in my usual size of 34H. The initial release of Cappuccino doesn't excite me as much as the black and gold coloration coming this winter. But I'm not sure this bra is going to end up working for me.

Much to my surprise, the cups AND band were both huge! Lots of empty space along the top and too wide wires, plus I got the ol' Panache Pucker at the gore, where the edge of the cups pinched out with more empty space. ... It's not unlike what I experience in the Porcelain Elan T-shirt bra I had back at 38G. The band felt way too loose and I could stretch it out a mile, and with all the empty space it was hard to tell if this bra would work for me at a smaller size.

Believe me, I was not expecting to need a 32 band in Panache at any point in time, but I sent the 34H back to exchange for a 32H.

  2. Idina Plunge Bra (6966)

This is hands down the most comfortable bra I own. Panache does not make plunge variants in H+ sizes, so I had to sister size up to the 34H. The band is stretchy, but extremely firm. It feels splendid! I'm surprised how comfortably the band fits, considering it has only two hooks.

The cups are much of the same; excellence. They have a nice stretch lace across the top, with reinforced lower cup panel. It gives just enough to accommodate without falling to do it's job. I get a really lovely round but natural shape in this bra. The center Gore is low enough that I can wear ... a v- neck, but high enough that I don't feel like I'll spill out.

Some other wonderful things about this bra are the gold findings. I'm also enjoying the basic nature of this bra. No frills or bows, only simple straight lines which vanish under t- shirts. And since the back has a plungy shape like the front, I can bust out my low back shirts!

I'm so glad I bought this bra, and I would recommend it to everyone who can try it.

I've only tried this on so far but I gotta say, I love this bra! If you like your boobs hoisted up there, this is the bra for you. I used to love the jasmine but I wasn't crazy about the unbreathable material. And while I liked the flexibility of the stretch lace I was starting to need more support in that area. This bra gives me what jasmine can not. Great for full on top. Plenty of room in the cup with no quadding. I've never seen my boobs so high. And the material is so comfortable and breathable. The band band on ... this bra is on the larger side for panache so consider sizing down. I'm keeping the 34 because I'm noticing these days I have a little extra cushion but I will look into getting a 32HH down the line if need be. Please try this bra. I want panache to continue it. I will update this review after giving it a proper wear but first impressions, I'm in love. The first bra I haven't had to rely on tightening the straps a lot in order to help lift the girls higher.

Update: I wore this bra for two days to give it a test run. I'm still in love. It's comfortable from the get go and It keeps its shape and support after a days wear. I'm considering buying more when they go on sale and trying to dye them. I want to wear this bra every day.

2nd Update: Still love the bra. However, as I originally stated the band is on the larger side. This has never happened to me with Panache. I've had the bra about a week or so and I'm already on the second set of hooks. In the future I will get a 32HH in this style. I'm curious to see how others find the band.

Great review on the Floris and this bra. I've been doing research and I've had my eye on these bras but no one had reviewed them at all anywhere that was knowledgeable so I was hesitant. I will at least give it a shot. Thanks!

By the way would you say for your size at least if the wires are narrower or wider?

    • 1

Also would like to say that at the end of a long day, the Jasmine just doesn't quite do it for my soft FoT boobs as they spill out so I'm with you on the needing more support!

    • 1

xelestial, that's my main problem with Jasmine now. Also in warmer weather that fabric is not very comfortable. I would say the wires are a good middle ground. Not as narrow as Kris Line but nowhere near Elomi width. The cups are close together too which I like. I lined Colette up with Jasmine and it looks like the wires are the same width. Colette wires are a little longer but not in the armpit,I think the gore is a little higher. Colette does have a little more full coverage so may be a problem with very low shirts. The bra is so wonderful that I don't care. I don't wear very low shirts often.

    • 3

It sounds like the Colette is a true full cup bra, which I don't mind. Sometimes you just need that kind of support. This sounds odd, but I'm glad to hear of others having issues with the Jasmine because everyone seems to think it's near perfect. It starts out that way for me, but then eventually I am spilling over and get some quad boob after a few hours or so. The Jasmine's gore shows under low-cut tops for me anyway, at least in my size, so the Colette won't be a problem. I'll order it today and make sure to review it. Thank you so much for all the info. I'm so glad the wires aren't longer in the armpit for you, I am so sick of digging wires.

    • Glad I could help!

I was so excited to try the Envy because it is based off of my beloved Jasmine. I got the nude color. Unfortunately there is a couple of little differences that make it a deal breaker. The center gore is a little wider than on the Jasmine, spreading out my boobs more. The side support panels are also little wider than on the Jasmine. These two elements together make my breasts look wider from the front and the bra digs into my armpits a little bit. As drownedsalad mentioned on the comments on this post, http://www.bratabase.com/profile/6uk/adventures/2597/ I think this is based more on ... the Emily frame with the Jasmine stretched lace on top. The center gore is identical to that of Emily (I've never tried the Emily, observation based off pictures). Also the gore feels slightly lower on the Envy and the cups angle down more as opposed to Jasmines which are more straight across. It also gives a lovely round shape. The sizing is consistent with Jasmine. I also wear a 34H in Jasmine. It's a lovely bra but if you are looking for an exact replica of Jasmine this ain't it. Sadly I had to send this one back.

    • do you think this bra works on shallow breast?

    • I'm not sure about shallow, it's been awhile since I tried this bra. I think it would definitely work for a wider frame. The stretch lace probably makes it compatible with many shapes. You can most likely size down if the cups are too big without fear of quadding.

It's slightly spilly, as with a lot of my recently acquired bras, but it doesn't give me the notorious Panache stabbies. I even napped in it quite comfortably. I like the look of it. I have a thing for plain white bras. Possibly because that's the kind in my earliest memories of them? It's also tricky to find nice, plain bras on here. It's all mesh and lace and colours and prints. I'd like more plain stuff.

    Didn't fit

I tried this bra because when I tried the Ana in a 34GG I had a bit of overflow at the lower part of the plunge (common for me with plunge bras). The 34GG and 34H were honestly very close in terms of which I preferred. The larger size was a bit too high in my underarm, and there was a bit of excess fabric at the top. Also, I felt like in the larger size the side support did very little and my breasts felt splayed. I'll likely keep the smaller size, because although the cup volume was better in the H the GG will be more comfortable due to the shorter under arm, and the side support works more effectively in the smaller size.
One thing to note about the Ana is it fits me a cup size larger than almost all other Panache bras. I'm normally a 34G in most of their balconette style bras, and in this bra the GG was borderline too small.
The fabric of this is very sheer.

Pros: Very soft material, gore almost completely flat, completely covers breasts so there's no falling out (hurray!!!!), feels like the band while slightly too tight is supporting me the most rather than being supported by straps.

Cons: in armpit, spreads breasts too wide, I prefer more forward with my projected, FOB, breast, cups slightly too big, some pulling and bunching on both.

This bra seems to run large compared to other Panache styles. Wires are wider, cups bigger, band longer and stretchier. So large, in fact, that I double checked the tag to make sure it wasn't a 36 H or HH. The fabric is pretty but scratchy. The cups come up higher than I expect for a balconnet style.

Gorgeous bra in the grey color, but the fabric is slightly scratchy especially under the arms. The straps are slightly too wide for me, but better than other Panache styles. The stretch lace on the top is pretty, but doesn't have a lot of support for my shape. Like other Panache bras, when I move my arms forward, the whole bra lifts off and down the front of my body. So close, but it needs to go back.

    34H

    Didn't fit

Wanted to try out a strappy cami, finally took the plunge. My experience in Panache has been 36GG until recently, where I've lost enough weight to be 34H, barely. Grabbed a 34H on amazon, reviews there seem to be 'runs true to size.'

Not my experience here! (Which is surprising given that everywhere else if it doesn't fit in 36GG (/34H) it's not going to fit at all. Searched out reviews elsewhere (like bravissimo, etc) and most reviews say "cup size down!" Ordered 34GG. Fits like I expect. GO FIGURE. Returned the 34H.

Pros: it's all one piece, so I don't have to worry over double straps. The straps are ... thin, fully adjustable, and are mostly there for show, so I can totally tuck them into the cami and wear as a strapless top. The foam structure that makes up the cups extends to the top of the cami and holds it against the chest. (So bending over or tall people don't get to peek down my shirt, as it were.) 2 hooks; how often does that happen? Also feels comfortable right off the bat. (Whereas the Panache Ava Plunge Bra (9396) took me some getting used to.)

Cons: Length a little short, but also I have a spare tire. The foam has seams that can stick out against the fabric. Reviews say warmth and washing will smoothe them out. After wearing the cami an hour or so I did notice the seam was less pointy, will see how some gentle washings further this. Hits really high under the arm regardless of size, worse in the 34H than the 34GG for me. If you are not used to bra sized tankinis you will find it difficult to maneuver into and hook.

Aaaand I still have to measure the 34GG but I'm wearing it again right now. Apologies for both the 34H and 34GG lack of "stretched band" measurements; honestly I've no idea how to take them given the structure of this cami.

Hope Panache revisits this concept in the future. Sure is nice not having to worry about double straps.

  11. Ava Plunge Bra (9396)

So Ava take two, band size down with same volume.

Ordered a 34H since the 36GG - Panache » Ava Plunge (9396) was so stretchy. Overall fit remains the same for the most part. Band is much more snug on the first hooks (naturally) but not uncomfortably so. I get a little bit more quadboob at the gore because of my centerfullness, tho' the cup depth on both sizes remains 12." I imagine this will relax a little as both the lace and the band stretch out. Thankfully the stretch lace helps mask the issue, and I don't think it'll be a problem under tops.

I forgot to ... mention in the review for my 36GG that the gore overlaps slightly where the wires meet, which is awesome. At both 36GG and 34H the gore is a half inch wide because of this.

I will be returning the 36GG. I do recommend sizing down in the band for the Ava.

I did pick up the matching bottoms this time and they are the same cut as Jasmine briefs. However, the different materials used makes a huge difference in fit and comfort. If I pick up the blush Ava (SS 2017) I will grab the matching bottoms.

My gripes with the not terribly plungey nature of this plunge remain tho'. I know Panache can do 'em, see also:
Panache Tango Ii Plunge Bra (3256) and Panache Porcelain Elan Moulded Plunge Bra (7326), which both feature gores of 2."

Later update after wearing a few times and thoughts:

So one thing brought up to me on reddit was how it was unfair to compare a full banded bra (Ava) to a partial banded (Tango) or one like the Elomi Betty Plunge Bra (8170). This is true. The gore ends at about the same place, but Tango's plunge seems shorter. That said, I would still like to see a plungier gore.

Overall I'm happier in the 34H but the bra is some combination of stretchy and I'm not used to 2 hooks anymore, I felt like I had to adjust the band down just a little several times a day. Right now I can't see myself picking up the blush Ava next year unless it is either a bit firmer or I can alter the band not to stretch so much. (There are some tutorials, I will try them out.) Ava does not come in HH, so I could not go down one more band to try that out. (Which blows my mind anyway, the possibility of fitting into a 32 band.)

The stretch lace is rather accommodating and so ridiculously soft tho', I REALLY want this bra model to work. And the stretch lace does mask the slight quad boob, which is not noticeable under tops.

I know plenty of wearers who are comfy and happy in extended size 2-hook bras, maybe I just am not one. Time will tell.

I got this bra purely for an "at home" bra to add to my collection with my Cleo Kali. The wires are way too wide for my body but it's not awfully uncomfortable. What makes this bra uncomfortable is the straps in the front that rub under my arms. I seem to have this problem with a number of my bras in general. I feel like most companies other than Comexim think that women over a certain size are linebackers. I have to use an extender because the band is just a bit tight but over time with wear I can see this being a nice tight band. Pitty about the front spillage and the rubbing.

This bra is so close to fitting right that I almost want to cry. This is the only bra I've ever found with cups that are deep enough without being too wide. Unfortunately, while a 34 band fits me perfectly, I get a tiny bit of quad-boob in the 34H and the underwires are just a touch too short on the sides, plus the shoulder straps sit in a slightly weird place. I really wish this came in larger cup sizes, because I suspect that a 34HH in this style would be my ideal bra.

Almost a perfect fit, with minor problems of tightness under arms and straps feel border-line too wide, though they aren't falling off in the little wearing I've done so far. I'm not sure if the sides are actually too tight, or that the fabric is too high under my arm and hitting too high into the armpit. Hoping this will ease/stretch a bit with wear. Looks very good under clothes and is attractive on—gives a nice boob shape. But I find the fabric stiff and not particularly comfortable; especially where the lace edge hits underneath the bust line, it's stiff and digging in a bit. (I'm generally not a fan of lace bras for that very reason). However, I haven't washed it yet and it may soften.

This was my first time trying a 34H and the H is definitely too large a cup size for me, the bra came up way to high on my chest, meaning the fabric cut into my armpit on the size, and also meant that I wasn't able to tighten the straps as much as I needed to keep things snug. I do think I'll order the wireless bra in a 34GG because it seemed comfortable and supportive other than the size mismatch. I also love the color this is in, very feminine and subtle.

What I'm learning about Panache is that the straps are too short and too wide for my body shape. I can wear the bra with the strap length all the way out, but I do have slight digging into my shoulders, and the straps are dangerously close to sliding off. I can get the bra wires to sit in my IMF, but as soon as I move my arms forward the whole bra shifts down and turns into a bad fit. I really wish the straps didn't do this because it's a good fit otherwise!

I want to love Panache bras because they feel so well built and are beautiful, but they're just too wide for me. The straps are too wide, and on this one the cups are also slightly too wide, and when I move my arms forward the whole bra shifts down out of my IMF. The straps are too short as I have them let all the way out and they still dig into my shoulders. Other than that, it's a beautiful bra and I'm sad to send it back.
