Oh! I haven't come by any other styles yet that fit as well as this one. After settling into the cups, there is no noticeably gapping on my small side nor any noticeable cutting in on my large size. Amazing.
Are the the wires a smidge too wide and do the cups rub the front of my armpits just a little? Well, yes. But these are minor quibbles. This bra fits pretty darn well and lets me wear some of my favorite clothes. Read more 132 more words
PROs - * A plunge bra that fits and is quite comfortable!!! * My breasts are supported by the band and wires rather than being held up by the straps. * My two friends feel completely supported and stay put without either feeling constrained. * No spillage when I bend over, a problem I've had with other plunge bras. My breasts remain right where they belong. * The cup shape and placement mimics my natural shape and looks great under a shirt (or without a shirt https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_razz.gif" alt=":-P" /> Ha ha!) * It's not only functional. I think it's very ...sexy. * The price was quite reasonable for such a well fitting foundation garment. ($44.35 including shipping via Amazon seller Her Room)
CONs - * Although cute, the two little bows on the straps where they meet the top of the cup are a bit of an overkill IMHO. Plus, they show above my the top of my fun summer shirts (crossover empire waist with spaghetti straps). I think I'm going to snip them off.
Overall, I am very satisfied with the look at fit of this bra. Now to search is on to find one in my size in both raspberry and turquoise. Read more 104 more words
This bra has a awesome side panel, basically it's narrow on the side of the cups, full on the bottom and a good shape for me on the top. The bottom fullness makes for a rounded shape with a soft point. The cups are a little wide, but because the shape brings the side tissue forward this isn't an issue in the fit. The bottom fullness of both my Elomi's has been a dream. This runs true to size in the cups, and a bit small in the band, the band is firmly snug but the fabric is so soft it's not uncomfortable. The straps seem to be set in closer to the center of the cup then bras this size in other brands that I have tried. All the elastic is tight but not in a not enough fabric and they are skimping and it's over stretched kind of way, in a this is heavy tight woven elastic that will never give out, kind of way.
I bought this bra knowing that it was going to have a too big band. Elomi caters to the "plus size" set, and while I'm not plus sized, my narrow shoulders and round rib cage means that their cut works best for me (because they don't assume I have linebacker shoulders like every other brand does). Unfortunately, they don't make my size, so I had to sister size a 36E. (Although I might now be able to wear a 34G since some tissue has migrated back into it's proper place--when I ordered these a year or so ago I fit best into a 34FF.)
As soon as I got ...these (I ordered 2; one red & one pale pink), I took in the band to make it fit better. After that I just wore them. At first, I didn't love the mesh fabric that the cups are made of, but they either softened with wear or I got used to them. Or a little of both. A combination of poor posture and super narrow shoulders means that straps often try to saw my arms off; while these do rub if I spend too many hours in front of the computer, they really aren't that bad for the most part. And considering all of the whining I've done on here about that very issue, that's a pretty big deal!
Likes: Low center gore Narrow strap placement (seriously, YAY!!) The perfect shade of red The pink is a perfect "nude" for me
What I'd change if I were in charge: Take the loopy bits off of the straps and elastic (picot edges on anything bug my skin.) Increase the size range (more women with my shape would benefit from at least being able to see if it worked for them) Decrease the frame length or make it frameless (the bottom of the band curls up, I HATE that!!) Even though I'm petite, I'd make the wires about 1/2" longer under the arm only.
Definitely give this brand/style a try if they have your size! Read more 222 more words
This bra is pretty off and on, but pretty comes at a price. The mesh is a bit rough and if not properly adjusted can cause "sawing" at the bottom. Like all Elomi's it pouches out on the sides for me, giving that Yaya Han effect (too round, looks fake). so that the boobs are pushed out onto my arms when typing, etc. They don't poke under the arms, but the wire kind of rubs my arms if I don't have on clothes. With clothes it is fine.
The cups are almost a fit, but just tight enough at the top to cause the ghost of quad-boob. It's not noticeable under clothing.
I would not keep this except for the fact that the color is MINE! and I need a true plunge bra. This color is on the way out, but purple came in for fall, so...
Good Points - this bra is very pretty, the pale but warm pink is such a good colour for me (a better nude than nude!), the straps are very comfy when correctly adjusted as the shape of the cup is full so the straps are not as wide as balconettes, this bra gives a good shape, as I have close set breasts the plunged wires do not dig in and can sit flat and due to the full cups, my full in the middle boobs maintain a slight separation and are kept in place.
the downside - my whole Leia fitting experience was a disappointment, the sales lady ...in particular (I wouldn't call her a fitter as there was very little fitting going on but a big sales push for bras that didn't fit). I was happy to find a bra that did all those good things above and had flitted from brand to brand and size to size in what she brought me - despite me asking for Freya and her poor fitting advice (you'll never find a gore that sits flat with your boobs, with your boobs you should scoop towards your armpit so it fits the bra!!!!!) that I didn't realise she had brought me a 34H. Her first words which gave me hope for the fitting were that I shouldn't be in the 34 I was wearing but a 32, however for a sale a 34 was fine! the band is too big and rides up. I measure 33 so can do 32 or 34 usually and my Bravissimo 34 don't ride up like this so I think this runs big in the band as well as wide in the cup ( the wires finish almost at my shoulder blades!!). As Elomi don't do 32 I cannot size down. I will however keep it for evening / occasion wear as it is good under lower cut dresses. Read more 214 more words
Overall, this bra fits me fairly well. I really like that it is a "plunge" style so I can wear it under v-neck tops and dresses. It gives me a relatively smooth back and great separation. The band fits well, though I have to start out on the second column of hooks, not the first, so I wonder how long this is actually going to last for me. And this is the very first bra I've owned where the underwire doesn't dig into my underarm!
The only complaint I have is that I don't quite fill it out completely at the top of the cups, but I overflow in an F cup. (My breasts are fuller on the bottom than on the top.)
As far as bras go, this is the most comfortable one I own, and the Elomi line seems to fit me well.
Not a good fit for my shape. Very East-West, it’s like the cups are so wide and separated that it shaped me weird. Not a big fan of the embroidery(?) on the top of the cups either. Even if it did fit, I wouldn’t like it because of that. The gore is nice and low which is a plus, but again because it doesn’t suit me it doesn’t matter how the gore fits lol. This was an eBay purchase. Listed for sale because it’s just not “me” plus the fit isn't right.
