    • Thanks for all your great reviews! I am trying to figure out my true size and find styles that work well for me. It seems that my bust has some similarities to yours and so your reviews are especially helpful to me in deciding what to try next. I really appreciate the knowledge you share!

  1. Oh! I haven't come by any other styles yet that fit as well as this one. After settling into the cups, there is no noticeably gapping on my small side nor any noticeable cutting in on my large size. Amazing.

While it isn’t nearly as plunge-y as the (admittedly less well-fitting) Cacique bras I’ve worn in the past, I do really appreciate the low center gore … it does allow me to wear a modest scoop- or v-neck. Most bras in my size want to peek out of any moderate or low neckline :( They tend to feature excessive coverage, in my opinion, and tall ... center gores that can be a bit uncomfortable when they fully tack. The 40HH - Elomi » Betty Plunge Bra (8170) allows me to me to wear quite a few garments (though no deep Vs or deep, wide scoops) that cannot be worn with my 42GG - Elomi » Caitlyn Underwire Side Support (8030) , 42H - Goddess » Rose Banded Underwire (6080) , or 42GG - Panache » Tango Ii Balconette (3251) and for this I am very grateful.

Are the the wires a smidge too wide and do the cups rub the front of my armpits just a little? Well, yes. But these are minor quibbles. This bra fits pretty darn well and lets me wear some of my favorite clothes.

    Fits

    YAY!!! A PRETTY PLUNGE BRA!!!

    PROs -
    * A plunge bra that fits and is quite comfortable!!!
    * My breasts are supported by the band and wires rather than being held up by the straps.
    * My two friends feel completely supported and stay put without either feeling constrained.
    * No spillage when I bend over, a problem I've had with other plunge bras. My breasts remain right where they belong.
    * The cup shape and placement mimics my natural shape and looks great under a shirt (or without a shirt :-P Ha ha!)
    * It's not only functional. I think it's very sexy.
    * The ... price was quite reasonable for such a well fitting foundation garment. ($44.35 including shipping via Amazon seller Her Room)

    CONs -
    * Although cute, the two little bows on the straps where they meet the top of the cup are a bit of an overkill IMHO. Plus, they show above my the top of my fun summer shirts (crossover empire waist with spaghetti straps). I think I'm going to snip them off.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the look at fit of this bra. Now to search is on to find one in my size in both raspberry and turquoise.

    Didn't fit

This bra is pretty off and on, but pretty comes at a price. The mesh is a bit rough and if not properly adjusted can cause "sawing" at the bottom. Like all Elomi's it pouches out on the sides for me, giving that Yaya Han effect (too round, looks fake). so that the boobs are pushed out onto my arms when typing, etc. They don't poke under the arms, but the wire kind of rubs my arms if I don't have on clothes. With clothes it is fine.

The cups are almost a fit, but just tight enough at the top to cause the ghost of quad-boob. It's not noticeable under clothing.

I would not keep this except for the fact that the color is MINE! and I need a true plunge bra. This color is on the way out, but purple came in for fall, so...

I'm glad to have it. Wish it came in 40J

I've got this one, and I'm still debating whether or not to keep it. I THOUGHT while trying on in stores that Elomi was perfect for my shape, but when I got home I realized they all give me the upside down 7 shape. I got a 34GG and took in the band -- and now I'm quadding in it. For now, it's the only plunge bra I have. But man... I was so disappointed. Can't even return it since I altered it.

    • 1

In general Elomi's are my best fit as well but I really hate the "side slings." Your description as "pouching out at the sides" is really perfect.

    • Thanks KristinR & jcupjedi for your comments. Elomi is so close to perfect...but how do they just miss? I had good luck with 40HH - Elomi » Persia Bandless Bra (8850) at least.

    • I am in your general size range but have trouble with plunges because I am older and have very soft tissue. I would also suggest that you try Elomi Bras on the "Abi/Maggie/Eva/Yolanda frame. These have gore heights between the plunges and the Kaitlyn, Libby, Renee, Rita heights.

    Didn't fit

Good Points - this bra is very pretty, the pale but warm pink is such a good colour for me (a better nude than nude!), the straps are very comfy when correctly adjusted as the shape of the cup is full so the straps are not as wide as balconettes, this bra gives a good shape, as I have close set breasts the plunged wires do not dig in and can sit flat and due to the full cups, my full in the middle boobs maintain a slight separation and are kept in place.

the downside - my whole Leia fitting experience was a disappointment, the sales lady ... in particular (I wouldn't call her a fitter as there was very little fitting going on but a big sales push for bras that didn't fit). I was happy to find a bra that did all those good things above and had flitted from brand to brand and size to size in what she brought me - despite me asking for Freya and her poor fitting advice (you'll never find a gore that sits flat with your boobs, with your boobs you should scoop towards your armpit so it fits the bra!!!!!) that I didn't realise she had brought me a 34H. Her first words which gave me hope for the fitting were that I shouldn't be in the 34 I was wearing but a 32, however for a sale a 34 was fine! the band is too big and rides up. I measure 33 so can do 32 or 34 usually and my Bravissimo 34 don't ride up like this so I think this runs big in the band as well as wide in the cup ( the wires finish almost at my shoulder blades!!). As Elomi don't do 32 I cannot size down. I will however keep it for evening / occasion wear as it is good under lower cut dresses.

Overall, this bra fits me fairly well. I really like that it is a "plunge" style so I can wear it under v-neck tops and dresses. It gives me a relatively smooth back and great separation. The band fits well, though I have to start out on the second column of hooks, not the first, so I wonder how long this is actually going to last for me. And this is the very first bra I've owned where the underwire doesn't dig into my underarm!

The only complaint I have is that I don't quite fill it out completely at the top of the cups, but I overflow in an F cup. (My breasts are fuller on the bottom than on the top.)

As far as bras go, this is the most comfortable one I own, and the Elomi line seems to fit me well.

    Hasn't set fit

I love this bra so much I ended up with three of them in different colors. At first I didn't like it - the fabric seemed a little scratchy and I wasn't used to a bra that fit so well it gave me two distinct boobs. But the fabric didn't bother me once I put the bra on and it was very comfortable and breathable. The gore tacks perfectly. And I fill the cups perfectly so long as I stoop&scoop. The underwires go a little high on the side but I've learned to live with it.

This almost fits, and is comfortable - the upper cup material is quite stiff but not itchy at all; on the contrary it feels supportive given its plunge appearance. Which, in itself, isn't very plunge-like. The gore is fairly high. There's little forward projection in this and it gives a very east-west shape which may suit certain items of clothing I own, but not all. In fact, it feels almost like there's a minimising effect because it's so east-west.

  9. I love this bra for those times when I'm dressing up, but I don't do that much, and since I'm not willing to do underwires most of the time, this bra doesn't get much wear. :)
