So I was intrigued to see Panache was putting out a cut and sew foam cup bra, and when finally (finally), it became available grabbed one in my usual size of 34H. The initial release of Cappuccino doesn't excite me as much as the black and gold coloration coming this winter. But I'm not sure this bra is going to end up working for me.
Much to my surprise, the cups AND band were both huge! Lots of empty space along the top and too wide wires, plus I got the ol' Panache Pucker at the gore, where the edge of the cups pinched out with more empty space. ...It's not unlike what I experience in the Porcelain Elan T-shirt bra I had back at 38G. The band felt way too loose and I could stretch it out a mile, and with all the empty space it was hard to tell if this bra would work for me at a smaller size.
Believe me, I was not expecting to need a 32 band in Panache at any point in time, but I sent the 34H back to exchange for a 32H. Read more 81 more words
Pretty bra, but it just doesn't work for my shape. The straps are a little padded which makes them feel very nice but also makes them kind of hard to adjust. When I did adjust the straps so they were short enough for me, it caused the wings to dig right into my armpits. The straps are also set pretty far apart, so it doesn't sit well on my slightly narrow shoulders. It's gotten really hard for me to find a bra in my size without tall cups/wings. The search continues...
My shape: Projected, narrow, shorter roots, even/functionally full on bottom, soft tissue. Cleo Lily fits me best.
This bra fits true to size in the band, and probably true to size in the cups (or maybe a little small?). My larger side is too big for most of my bras right now, so that's skewing my assessment, unfortunately. I may wait a week or two and try it on again.
I was worried this bra wouldn't have enough depth at the wire, and I was right. As much as I tried shoving the wires up, I couldn't get them all the way into my IMF. The wires are also too wide for me, so I think that's contributing to the empty space at the bottom of the cups.
I was really hoping this bra would work for me, but sadly it will be returned.
This is a beautiful bra. The lace is lovely and I really like the colour. It could work as a nude on a lot of skin tones. The cups are fairly projected and lightly padded, and the foam is nice and soft against your skin. The 28G fits me really well, I think. I get a very small amount of quad boob on my larger side. The band is nice and snug and the overall comfort is good. I do find the wires a little long so they are rubbing into my armpits a bit, and the gore digs into my sternum slightly. While I love the aesthetics ...of this bra, I do get a bit of an upside-down 7 shape with it, especially on my larger side. Overall, I'm happy with this bra. My breasts are narrow, soft and pendulous with a FOB, centre-full shape and lots of projection just above the wire.
Update- Having worn this for a full day, I can tell it doesn't have enough projection above the wire. The underwire marks are more than an inch below my IMF when I take it off. Read more 81 more words
So sad, not the right shape or size. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> Cups too closed on top, projection slightly too shallow at the base, wires too wide, band too snug. I'm currently teetering between 28 and 30 bands, and this maxes at 29 inches and that is stretching hard. The wires are probably being pulled too tightly, and being very firm, the top end HURTS under my arms. The top edge of the cups could probably be stretched out to be more open, but even if I tried a 30E, I still think the wires would be too wide. Shape is not quite right. I'll have ...to return it. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" /> At least Breakout Bras gives free returns, but it is SO SAD because I've waited and anticipated this bra for soooo long. It's so pretty!! Not quite the dusky lavender-taupe shade I was expecting from all show and product pictures, but still fabulous. The shape has a lot of center and inner projection, but not extremely deep at the wire, and about average on upper edge. Too closed for me, but I've read too open for others. The worst part... Panache just CANNOT figure out the back!!! Those straps are WAY too wide for narrow and/or sloped shoulders!! I had to tighten them uncomfortably and kept sliding them up towards my neck to make me feel like they wouldn't fall off. Another bra just to add to the database, but didn't work out. :'(
This is my first almost perfect bra after finally finding my true size thanks to this community and /r/abrathatfits. It fits me perfectly in every way except for the gore diggin into my sternum. I can’t decide whether it’s uncomfortable enough to return it though, because everything else is so perfect! I have worn it all day and the gore digging is somewhat livable. The only other thing is that the shape of my breasts in this bra is good but not great. They are definitely a little torpedo-y. Still on the hunt for absolute perfection.
I love this bra! Not sure about the colour on me but the fit is great. For reference I am low set, I think even fullness and averagely to slightly projected. The Clara fits me pretty well so when I heard the Petra was similar I was intrigued - and I think I prefer the Petra! This might be partly because I own the Clara in 30F (it's a little bit too small) - but I do think the Petra's gore is much more comfortable - Clara was digging into my sternum and would leave angry red marks (angrier than the normal marks/indents I get). The gore on ...Petra is quite a bit shorter than the Clara equivalent so that explains the increased comfort levels. The light lining is very cosy, it feels a tiny bit thicker than my Cleo Mimi and Freya Patsy and is softer than these too as well. I'm looking forward to seeing it in the new black colourway for A/W17 and would love it if Panache brought out a pale pink version (more flattering than beige/cappuccino on my very pale skin tone). All in all very happy and comfortable https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />
EDIT: Unfortunately the excitement above was short lived... I noticed the Petra was giving me a sad, droopy upside-down 7 profile; I'm inbetween sizes (30G too big, 30FF too small) and/or the bra is the wrong shape for my FOT boobs. Apparently it's good for FOB shapes. I still love the way the cut looks and the design in general, so I'll probably try the black colourway when it comes out in the misguided hope that it might magically work for me... but realistically I know it won't ;_; Read more 183 more words
