  1. Jasmine Balconnet Bra (6951)

    I. Love. This. Bra. I originally bought it in the silver leopard print then was able to find another in the ivory floral that's how much I love it. Much like other panaches I like the stretch lace at the top of the cup. I also like the 3 hooks far better than the 2 hook bras and the straps seem a little padded over the shoulder which is nice. Shape wise I am projected and fob leaning toward even. I have a slightly wide root as well. This bra seriously fits me amazigly and I get a wonderfully round shape too! I haven't worn it for more than a few weeks so I can't speak to Long term stretch/ durability.

    It could have been a perfect bra if I bought 34h.
    My size is between 34g~34gg.
    I purchased Freya and C.K's unpadded bra with this one.
    All of them are 34gg size.
    I found that Freya's and CK's bras are a 'little' bit baggy on the upper side because of the cup shape.

    On the other hand, I got quadboobs as wearing andorra full cup bra.
    And its wire is surprisingly wide considering its cup style.
    (I expected a U shaped wire.)
    I was disappointed because I read a ton of good reviews about this bra.

    However,
    I love its side pannel which makes this very supportive.
    The band is snug but really comfortable.
    Its fabric looks and feels nice.

    If I wore 32hh with a bra extender, this bra would fit perfectly...maybe.

    Anyway I'll keep this bra.
    I think it will fit with alteration like narrowing wires after me losing some weights.

    2nd of 2 bras, same style, same size.
    Nearly identical, though this one is "newer" and more snug, in general.

    I really wanted to like this bra. The feel of it is so nice. Both the fabric and the padding is very soft and comfortable, and the extra cushioning at the back is very nice as well. But I just don't think that it was the correct fit on me, nor was it really my style ultimately.

    I just recently moved to a 34 (from a 38), and in a Cleo bra bought one week ago a 34 on the loosest is snug. This bra however is about the same on the tightest hooks. It is that stretchy.

    I was unsure how to mark the "cup separation" separation ... question, as the center gore doesn't seem extra wide. Although, I didn't consider comparing the lower gore. I was only comparing the upper gore. But I did mark it as "too separate" because of the finished product that becomes of their appearance in the cups. There is obvuous east/west action going on. Instead of 'looking' front, it gives them the opposite of a cross-eyed appearance. I'm sure there's a better way to describe it, but that's the first that comes to mind. With my arms at my sides in the picture from the front, there is so much cup in front of my arm.

    The underwire length wasn't a comfort issue, as it didn't cause any pain. I had no trouble at the bottom of the cup, as I have heavy breasts these days (3 children + 30 + genetics x gravity). The tops of the cups, I marked the option for it wrinkled, though it didn't wrinkle, there's just a portion that sits empty at the top of the cup before the straps that seems an odd excess of fabric on me. The cups continue up very high actually, many sleeveless shirts would probably be a no go.

    The overall shape and silhouette that it gave me didn't appeal to me so much either. I generally prefer a lifted, round, outward presentation from a bra, an actual spherical shape. This gave more of an outward diagonal presentation, while squished in, vertical oblong shape.

    The straps were not too close or too far apart for me. I don't have narrow shoulders though. They aren't wide for my frame either I don't think. Another reason I really wanted to like this bra was the convertible straps. I've seen some very cute racer back tanks lately, and would like to be able to pull that off. I converted the straps, and I still can't. The cups are so high in the armpit and on the front of the chest that they're visible in a tank top. A cute, colorful bra's regularly placed straps would be less awkward I think, in a racer back tank top. I'll keep looking though.

    Ultimately, it's going back. It's so soft. It really would be a comfortable bra to wear. The fabrics are nice, the closure does not have the kind of fabric that feels like it could fold over and let the hooks scratch you, it's plush. The cups are seamless and are not noticeable at all under a shirt. But even if not for the large band, I wouldn't keep this one. The heavily separated and pressed in look isn't for me. I'll keep searching for a nude tshirt bra with lift and roundness.

    (Purchased new without tags - don't remember where - probably ebay)
    Ivory/oyster color

    Fit mostly when I got it about 5 months ago. Cups were too tall, but otherwise everything was fine.

    Since I got it new without tags, the band did fit a lot more snugly than the other one I have. Fast forward 5 months and I've lost more weight and sometimes have to wear it on the middle eyes, depending on what part of my cycle I'm in. It may or may not have stretched out also, but I never wore it more than once every couple weeks, so I kind of doubt that's the reason it's too ... big on me now.

    Wearing it tighter makes the strap placement more in my arms. Yes, I did say arms, because they're naturally far enough out of my body frame they are actually on the outsides of my armpit creases unless I pull them in.

    The cups are too tall and too big. (I just need a different size.) The stretch lace makes it still wearable for when I've forgotten to wash my bras and I need a neutral-colored one. Like right now. Which is the only reason I'm not measuring it. I came to add the fit and review and figured out I forgot to add the bra to begin with. Oops. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

    Wire is too wide.

    Center gore is too high for me and my short torso/high-set boobs.

    Side wires seem like they'd be fine if they were in the right place on my body. It's hard to judge when they're that far back on me.

    ~~~~~~
    Whenever I wash it and take pics, I'll list it.
    The band is tighter than on any other Panache bra I have but for the Azira. I like the fit, but I think it would be better in a 36 GG or 34 H for me. I don't like to wear this bra for more than 8 or 10 hours as it starts to feel restrictive and pokey, but it does give a nice shape under clothing. I wonder if sizing up would reduce the discomfort.
    The Panache Evie seems very well made, but it's shape incompatible for me. I think I'd probably have to size down in order to make it work, as there's a space in the top part of the cup, which is not common for me as I'm full on top. If you're inbetween sizes, use the smaller cup for this bra.
    Beautiful bra. I am 33 and this is the prettiest bra I have ever owned. And def the only bra that has given me this type of lift and support. Tight band and tight fit. I am busting out just a tiny bit. I wore it an hour or so then I washed it and soaked it. I believe the shape is somewhat different than the @panache @envy but more similar to the envy than to the @andorra. It will take some time for me to determine which is my favorite. The andorra is the most comfortable.
    COLOR is waaaaaaay more yellow/tan than the 34H I have in this same style. I think this might be a really, really old version of this bra. The band is ridiculously non-stretchy for a Panache, or at least compared to the newer lines I've tried.
    I bought this new, still in the original plastic Panache branded bag with tags, but the label is different than every other Panache I own, so I think it was old stock never sold previously.
    Still seems pretty darned sturdy. I really wish I could find my correct size in this style so I can have a lower gore in at least one of my bras.
    It's slightly too small in the cup in depth and total "around" measurement. The fit is more like a sports bra since the center gore doesn't do anything a wired gore would. It's a little too tall in the cups for me (as usual).
    I think I will get more of these if they show up on sale. I will also try the 34H.
    The only bad points:
    - shaping is... meh.
    - the band is not stretch material really, so sometimes rides up and front curves under boob because of that.
    - straps slightly too wideset, but they don't hurt, so it's mostly okay.
    If you're having issues with wires and pain ... and fit in this size range, it will help.
    ==========
    Update after losing a little weight:
    Still fits okay. I wear it on the 2nd to 4th set of hooks, depending on where in my puffy cycle I am in. (This bra has 6 sets of hooks.) The cups are okay, but I still think they don't do much for me. It's still my "comfy" bra that I wear when I am going to move around a lot. If I lose much more weight, it's not going to give me much support and I'll have to size down.
    I tried the 'Moonlight' colorway, which is a purplish blue (like periwinkle, but darker) overlaid with grey lace. It has crossed elastic in the front, similar to the Panache Dahlia (7291)](model:10616). The straps are half adjustable and padded. It has a side support sling of doubled mesh fabric. Like the Dahlia, which I observed was comfortable for me in a 34 and thus looser than I am used to with Panache, the Clara also fit me in 34. I got slight wrinkles in the bottom of the cup; it didn't have enough immediate projection for me.
    Band: runs true-to-size, loose for Panache
    Cup: true-to-size
    Depth: similar to Andorra, not as deep as Jasmine or Dahlia
    • I have this bra too and it's definitely not bandless. Maybe you are confusing it with Sienna?
    • It looked bandless to me. It has elastic that crosses over in the gore instead of running straight across the bottom.
    • The Sienna does not have elastic crossing across the gore. I own a few Siennas but did not keep the Clara.
    • Ok, I think there's a misunderstanding of what "bandless" means. When you look at your Sienna, can you see how there is no elastic or band under the cups? The wings attach to the cups, and there is a bridge between the cups, but there is no band under the cups. That is what "bandless" means. Another example is the Cleo Lucy.
      Jasmine, Tango, Andorra, Clara, all have a band that goes continuously around the whole bra, under the cups.
    • I don't think it is a misunderstanding about what bandless means, so much as inability to see the difference visually.
      I don't have the Clara anymore, but I looked at the Dahlia, which has the same crossing elastic as the Clara. It still looks to me as if the elastic starts under the cups, instead of running the whole length of the band. I compared it to the Sienna, and they both have a similar construction as far as I can tell.
      About 90% of all bras I look at are indistinguishable from bandless to me. If it isn't a longline or something with pronounced fabric under the cups, I really can't see the difference.
    • 2
      Elastic under the cups and crossing the center gore equals a band. The Sienna has neither of those things. The elastic on the Sienna begins at the outer edge of the cups, it doesn't continue under them. When you compare the Dahlia and the Sienna, can you see that bit?
      I hope you know that I'm not trying to be argumentative, I just wanted to make sure that the right bra was reviewed here and that other people didn't get the wrong impression about the bra in question.
    • 1
      I see elastic crossing the center gore in the Dahlia but in both the Sienna and the Dahlia I don't see it under the cups. They look the same to me. I'll remove the reference to 'bandless' in my description here. Now you know why I don't like to add bras that haven't been added yet: they almost all look bandless to me. Some people obviously do see a difference, but I really don't see it unless the band is highly visible.
    This review describes the SPICE (orange) colorway.
    I own this bra in lagoon (blue) and plum (purple) in 34GG and 36G respectively. The 36 band is a better fit for me but I prefer three hooks (found on GG and up) over the two hook version, so I ordered this bra in 34GG with the intention of using it with an extender for the first few months. In terms of band tightness, the spice colorway feels similar to the lagoon Sienna of the same size. It is what I would consider typical Panache sizing, unlike the other two bras I tried from this season, the ... Panache Clara Full Cup (7255) and the Panache Dahlia (7291). These bras both were loose by Panache standards, while the Sienna remains tight.
    I have recently started to spill out of my lagoon and plum Siennas a little on my larger size, while the small size fits me well. That means they're about half a cup size too small for me currently. By contrast, I had significant overspill on my larger breast and some overspill on my smaller breast with the spice Sienna. It's about one size too small for me (which means I can order the right band size!). That means that it runs about half a cup size smaller than the lagoon and plum colorways.
    Like most Panache bras, the straps are only partly adjustable. It is not possible to make them shorter by forcing them over the padded fabric because the padded section of the strap is separate from the adjustable part. This is in common with other Siennas. I have had less of a problem with Sienna strap length than with Jasmine strap length, however, despite the fact that the Jasmine can in theory be made shorter by forcing the adjuster over the padding.
    This bra is a little too loose on me, so I feel like it's not adequately supporting my breasts. The band is slightly too tight and irritates my skin. I imagine it would be very good for tear shaped breasts or breasts with middle and lower fullness. Also the lace on the top is very forgiving so it could accommodate some upper fullness but I think it would cut in if you're full on top.
    This is my new favorite bra. It is the best shape yet I have found on me. The apex of the cup perfectly matches my natural shape. I will be looking for more bras of this type. Higher wings would be nice.
    • You can look up old cut Ariza. White, black, blush, are those I know by hand
      New cut is:
      SS2013 - lilac/pink
      AW2012 - black/multi
      SS2012 - violet mix
      Old cut:
      all before SS2012 and the blossom(nude), black and white ones.
      Old cut has higher wings, wider gore, higher gore and (that I have not fully reasearch yet) different cup shape.
    I got this bra at Nordstrom Rack's clear the rack sale - it is not my normal band size, I usually go for a 36g, but the price was too good to pass up and I generally liked how it fit. I wear it with an extender. The gore and cups come up higher than I prefer, and the bottom of the cup isn't quite deep enough for me so the wire can't sit right at the root, but I get good lift and shape and I really wanted a soft cup bra. The print is really pretty and I love the stretch lace fabric at the top. I did bend the wires a bit out at the gore and curved at the center. Overall, this bra isn't a perfect fit but it's not bad and I'll wear it in the rotation until I can find something better.
    The bra is stiff, like Panache Ariza, which have a similar cut. Compared to the Ariza, it seems to move the breast tissue even more front-and-center. The straps are non-stretch with good traction on the adjustable slider (for steady support), and the band seems true to size and firm as well. The gore is strong and of a similar height to the Ariza. The tops of the cups are non-stretch, with the overlapping embroidery offering a bit of "give".
    Well made, pretty if full coverage is your thing. Even though it is all lace, it is reasonably practical under most clothing. This one is a pinkish/coral color.
    I feel the cup is small but the band is a good, firm fit (maybe runs a smidge larger than the pearl in a 34G). The wires come up awfully high on the sternum and under the armpits, and they seem to angle inward (although not as much as the pearl. I have bent the wires out at both ends as well as rounding the middle so that the fit is better so I've left out the measurement of wire width.
    The band seems firm enough, almost too tight under the armpits, but it's being pulled up & away from the intramammary fold because there's not enough boob room. A 34 might be fine in an HH cup but I don't care for the amount of coverage I get on my already-short torso.
    I want more lift and centering than I get in this bra.
    I got this bra about a week ago online because I don't have any stores near me that sell my correct size. This is my first correct fit bra so I'm not entirely sure how tight the band is supposed to be or anything. When I first got it, the band was very tight but I could still fit two fingers underneath so I guessed that it was probably how a correct band size was supposed to feel. It stretched a bit now and is much more comfortable and still very supportive so that's good. The cup size fits almost perfect. The top looks great, there is a ... slight gap at the bottom of the cup but it might just be because I have very wide boobs and it definitely does not affect the look or feel of the bra. The side underwire doesn't dig into my underarms, but the side of the cup does where it goes into the straps a little bit (if that makes any sense). Straps are fine and adjust well and surprisingly stay in place without digging in, I guess that's what happens when the band does all the work. The center gore lies flat, but does dig in a bit because I have no real separation between my boobs. Red marks after 8 hours of work, but I try to move the underwire closer to the sides so it doesn't go up as high and that helps a little. It's not unbearable, just annoying mostly. Other than that this bra looks very pretty, is very supportive and is pretty comfy all things considered. I just hope the lace on this bra will last a long time because lace isn't known for durability. All in all, good purchase.
