  1. Bm Croptop Topaz (1434)

Out of the three 65J's I got, I felt this one ran large and more along the lines of a 65JJ size, maybe even a 65K as it fits better than my Sofia. I actually loved this more in person than on the website. My one big complaint, but it's a personal thing really, is that the extra fabric they added for the "Longline" part bunches up a little in that space between my tummy and my under-breast area. Strapgate is still going strong. I think it's a good fit, but looking at my photos, I'm running into that slight outerboob escaping on my larger side. Again, not sure if that's to do with the wire not being tall enough or the cup being too small for my large side. All in all, I really like this bra. The materials are so, so soft.

Those super wide straps, so tired of them! This one looks good on you and I don't really see it bunching up in the photos.

    • 1

Oh me too Sovavosi. Me too. Thank you! I really like it :) And I should have reiterated that while you can't see it in the photos, after a brief amount of time of moving around, the faux band rode up a little.

    • 2

Really beautiful! I totally agree that it looks much better on you than on the website. The croptop part yet again fits much nicer. They need you and MamaPagan to model it, so everyone would have a better idea of what to expect.

    • 2

      veggiechic D'aww thanks :')

      @mamapagan modeled it wonderfully!

    • 1

This looks great on you and I agree with veggiechic about the 'longline' part looking much better in these pics than what's advertised.

    • 1

I'd like to try this one at some point, but my bands always roll up because of my stomach. Brownie is this without the bottom part, correct? I'd just get that one instead.

    • 1

You are rocking it girl! It looks really good on you, and I agree it fits larger than the others in the same size, which is very much a good thing! :-)

The lace is so soft isn't it? Dreamy.

      @VeggieChic haha! Your too funny!

    • 1

Sovavosi yes I am 99% positive that Brownie is the same lace.

    • 1

      Frazzleberry thanks! :)

@sovavosi that's what the general consensus was about Brownie. I think I'd like to try it still anyway haha

@mamapagan thanks! And yes it does! It's a fantastic thing! I loved how my bras fit today, especially when I went in with the mentality that nothing was going to fit! It was awesome. And yes! That lace makes me swoon. It's so nice. Truly.

    Didn't fit

This bra works well for my extremely projected, centre-full, narrow-rooted, short-rooted breasts.

The lace easily accommodates my soft, FoT tissue, and there is enough immediate projection in the cup for the wires to sit fairly close to my IMF. The wires are short enough for my short roots, but not so short that my centre-fullness spills out. The fabric is comfortable.

My main fit issue with the bra is that it is a little too tight in the band. I deliberately got a band size smaller than usual because I wanted extra narrow wires and narrower straps, so I knew this might be a problem. I have solved the issue ... with a bra extender, which I'll wear with it until the band stretches out a bit.

The other minor fit issue is that the lace on top is a little bit loose at certain angles, but I'm certain that if I went a cup size down, I would get quadding. I can live with a little bit of loose lace, which is not visible under a shirt.

Overall, I'm hoping this will be a good everyday, frequent use bra. I will update this with further info after I've worn it a few times.

this looks great on you, congrats on finding an awesome bra!

    • 1

Mylargirl , I noticed on your profile that you got 70HH - Comexim » Arizona Plunge Bra (408)
Do you like it? I ordered it specifically for the cross back, even though black isn't really my colour - but I wanted to see how the straps would work with my shoulders. I should get it in a couple weeks : ) Plus, it was on sale when I ordered it...which is like a sign from God that I need that bra, clearly /s.

    • 1

Hi BraOdyssey! Sorry for the delay in replying.

      It's actually a 75K in the Arizona Plunge Bra, not a 70HH.

My suggested "A Bra That Fits" calculator size is a UK 32H, although I have yet to find a bra in this size that is projected enough for me.

The 75K (which I think roughly translates to a UK 34K, but Comexim sizes are unusual) is too big in the band, and too small in the cups for me.

I would like to try a 70M in Comexim, because I feel that would be a better fit. Unfortunately, that is a custom size only, and I wouldn't be able to return it if it didn't fit, so I'm hesitant to go there.

Other fit issues with the bra: I was getting major, major spillage after having worn the bra for a few hours. I have very centre-full breasts, and they would be basically falling out of the bra through the centre. I don't think a plunge style is going to work for me, unfortunately.

I do love the adjustable straps, though! Having them crossed over in the back was really helpful, because I have narrow shoulders and my bra straps always fall down.

    • Hmm, that's interesting re: your Arizona Plunge bra (sorry, I think I accidentally typed 70HH)
You can get the gore raised, if you did think that you need it
Erica from a Sophisticated Pair has YouTube videos about the different Comexim alterations. She says that she notices that the alterations tend to start around the H cup (I'm not sure if she means UK H or Coemexim H) Anyway, here is a link to her video, but I also understand if you are hesitant to invest in that style. https://youtu.be/METoV07IF6A

    • 1

Awesome, thanks! I'll check out the video.

Based on the UK-Comexim calculator on Reddit, I should actually be a 70N in Comexim, but based on the fact that this cup *almost* fits, that makes me think I'm more of a 70M, and 70N would be way too big.

I think getting the gore raised just a cooler centimetres might fix the issue, or also, maybe I should just try a CHP style.

    • 1

I think I read that the UK -Comexim calculator can overestimate cup size for some people? It's highly individual, imo...yeah, if you think 70N sounds like too much, I would totally go w your gut of 70M.

Rubin is so pretty. I love the color way more in person than in pictures I had seen. It is a great fuchsia and black combination.

This is a true 65 band, which is great for me, it only stretches to 30 inches. The gore tacks, which is a rarity for my center full, close set breasts. The straps are certainly wide set, I angle them in. I think I naturally do that with a lot of bras. These aren't uncomfortable. The cups are comfortable, bordering on big. I don't get as rounded of a shape as I do in Comexim, but it isn't bad. I think if I filled out the cups a bit more, the shape would be a little better. This bra seems to be a bit smaller in the cups than other 65J's, which works for my needs. Big thanks to DerangedDragons19 for sending this to me so that I could try to nail down my size!

    • Beautiful!!!

    • Yes BM Rubin does run a little tighter in the cups from my experience. Glad it fits you though!

    • Heyyy! Look at you; it's stunning! I bet a 65HH might do the trick as, like you mentioned, this one seems to run on the smaller spectrum :)

    • 1

The BM is more of a natural (less rounded) fit compared to the SM or padded bras, so it is okay to not be rounded in it. It looks lovely on you & yay for the opportunity to try it. 💕

    Didn't fit

Based on other people's review of Kleks, I wasn't exactly expecting good things, especially since I'm having fit issues with my 65JJ EM already. For the most part, the bra really wasn't a bad fit, but I'm noticing more and more, that my tissue on my larger side (left side) isn't contained under my arm pit area. I'm not really sure what that means in terms of fit though. Maybe the cup isn't high enough if that makes sense? Otherwise, I don't mind the bra. I don't have quadding. It isn't uncomfortable to me, but I can tell that it's going to be too small when my breasts swell. If I had tried this bra on a couple of days ago, it would have been a nightmare.

Tail of spence area? Or under the arm?

    • 2

The joys of our hormonal cycles and the highs and lows they create in our cups! This one also looks great on you, so I hope you will at least be able to wear it on low tide days. :-/

    • 2

I'm not sure what you mean in terms of tail of spence. I'm talking about under my arm where my tissue sits funny. It's way more noticeable in my Rubin review, but I can see it with Kleks and with my Topaz. It's almost like the underwire isn't coming up high enough for me or something.

    • 2

MamaPagan hey thanks. I think I'm going to keep this one and hope it does work for low tide days. I just find it odd how a J cup works better than my JJ cup

    • 3

Tail of spence is the "fat" area near the strap. That generally doesn't go in the cup. I wasn't sure if you meant the front of your armpit or the side.

    • 2

Sovavosi Ah gotcha! That makes sense thanks for clarifying :) I meant the side--sorry for the confusion!

    • 3

I understand DerangedDragons19. Sometimes Ewa constructs her bras differently so a smaller cup can fit better (even when it measures smaller than a larger cup that is too small) so it really racks the brain. I always try to keep in mind that the cups are 3D, our boobs are 3D, and our measurements of both are linear so they don't always mesh perfectly into our ideas of logic.

It could be that there is more lower space below the apex, or the top lace is more open or stretchy, or a combination of both.

I have gotten a few bras (BM Kawa for example) where the 60K measured larger than the 60KK, so sometimes you get a rouge seamstress that makes the bras to the wrong scale.

    • 1

MamaPagan You know, that makes a lot of sense to me. Adding another axis to our linear thinking could definitely account for some error. Heck, there's no telling if I measured 100% correctly either.

Also two other good points. I'm not complaining though hahah

    • 1

Take the same bra and measure it daily for a week, I guarantee you'll get slightly different results each time, haha! That's the human factor at play! :-D

    • 1

MamaPagan Absolutely true! Sidenote, you know how you and just about everyone else says that EM bands never stretch out.. well I measured my Sofia and it has stretched over 2 inches... Do you suppose that's because it was basically my only bra in rotation?

    • Wow, 2"? Yes, with heavy rotation it would result in more body oils on the elastic and stretching. I typically have a good 2 weeks or more of bras so they get a large break in between.

    • 1

MamaPagan oh boo :( rotten luck for me. I would seriously have loved to have it in my rotation, but I don't think I can really wear it much anymore due to the band riding up so much. Heavy sigh.

    • 1

You can always alter it down. There's a few ways of doing it, and also the Rixie clip option too. Don't give up hope just yet!

    • 1

True, true. I might have to look into some options I suppose.

    • 1

Let me know if you want any walk throughs on the ones I know of.

The bra measured smaller than my other two 65J's I got with this order. Perhaps this is closer to a "standard" 65J as I felt this ran smaller and more accurate when compared to my 65JJ BM. Before putting it on, I realized it wouldn't work, but I figured I'd give it a whirl anyway. The gore didn't tack. The cups were too small. So, I guess this one is a no go.

Rubin is my fav BM :( Sorry it didn't fit.

    • brasaremean Really? Rubin wasn't actually one of my favorites. I bought it on a whim because.. you know. Black Friday 🙈🤣🤷 and it worked out okay-ish. I'm on the fence about just keeping it anyway honestly.

    • 1

Yes I think the top stretch tulle works reeeally well with my soft tissue, even in my 70FF which (to be quite honest) was small when I got it I didn't have that much obvious quadding.
However, the bra is extremely shallow at the wire, and the mesh lining inside reminds me more of an Sf than a Bm (same with Kleks, actually), so I think that's why it seems small.
Most of us here need a lot more depth at the wire but with this bra, I think going up in band would be enough. If I could, I'd order this one in 70G (instead I got a 65GG and I don't expect it to fit at all).

Kleks is very pretty. I love the navy over black, it is great in person. The dangling crystals at gore and front of straps are a nice touch.

The band is on the tighter side for a 65, you would have to pull hard to stretch it to 30 inches. This works for me, but might not for other people who generally like a 30 band.

The cups are pretty, and soft. The gore tacks with my close set breasts. The cups are just too big for me, and my breasts look sad in them. 65HH might work...

I had this bra custom made as it doesn't come in 65J in Ewa Michalak's regular stock. Well, it's definitely worth it, since it's a gorgeous bra. It seems like my true EM size would be 65J in half cups and 70HH in plunges (if PL Onyks is anything to go by).
    Pros:
    - absolutely beautiful
    - very comfortable (as all Ewas are)
    - sturdy band
    - divine shape

    Cons:
    - not a regular size so no exchange posibility
    - the straps are just on the border of being too short, I have them set so long as possible - which is enough, thank goodness

I bought this bra from another Bratabase user along with an SM Trefl, also in 65J.

This is another beautiful bra from Ewa Michalak. The color is a creamy white/beige with some pearly shine to it. The band material is quite soft, while the cups are a little rougher, but not itchy. Definitely softer than the Trefl.

The fit is a bit off for me though, and I'm not quite sure why. The tops of the cups are a little loose and don't lay flat. There's also this weird indented quadding going on near the gore and out towards the apex of the cup. The gore doesn't fully tack on ... me, even when I scoop away from the gore (I have a lot of center fullness and SM's are too shallow for me there). There also seems to be slightly less immediate projection on this one when I compare it to the Trefl. It's no where near as bad as my 65H Wrozka is in terms of fit, but it has slightly similar problems.

The band feels like a 28 UK band (which I like). The wires are nice, narrow and more U shaped. Because of that, I find them much less irritating than my 28HH Lily and Marcie wires.

Unfortunately though, this one will be resold, as we're not quite compatible for some reason.

This is my first S style bra and I was worried that the band would be too tight. It actually fits snug but it's ok. The cups fit perfectly also and I do still have some top fullness which I didn't think I would have as I was told this is more of a full coverage bra. It provides great lift and projection at the same time. The shape it gives is not as round as the PL. I would say it's in between a PL and CH bra.

This is my first S-type bra. After I began using EM bras, I've grown very fond of padded bras, so my first thought was cautiousness. The padded ones are so soft, so supportive - versus many of my older "soft" bras, which now leave nasty seam imprints on the underside of my breasts. But, as usual, Ewa comes veni, vidi, vici-style.
    Pros:
    - Excellent shape. I like the perkiness of the slightly upwards-tilted cup.
    - Nice lace. Not too showy, not too boring.
    - The lace is soft but not flimsy. Not scratching anywhere.
    - Unexpectedly low center gore. Not quite a PL, but low.
    - Tight band.

    Cons:
    - REALLY tight band. The fabric feels sturdy as well, so I have a feeling this one won't much stretch with wear. Not so good, as the Sm Trefl wins the "tightest 65-EM band"-race hands down.

I usually wear 30JJ, but I got the 30J because it was on sale at the time. Obviously it's small in the cup, but I'd say only by one cup, so I think the cups are true-to-size. However, due to the vertical seamed cup construction, I think I can get away with it being too small in the cup - it just gives even more of a Marie Antoinette style cleavage!

I found it loose in the band as soon as I got it, unfortunately, and combined with the thin band/two-hooks, the band isn't the most comfortable in the world. It has four columns of two hooks-and-eyes, so at least there's a lot of leeway for tightening.

The wires are quite narrow and, combined with the front-and-up construction, it gives a very in-your-face look. In terms of appearance, I love the colour and lace details (especially the lace on the gore). All-in-all a well constructed and cute bra - the only problem is the band.

This one was a disaster on me. The cups ended up being too widely spaced for my boobs causing a bit of east to west shape and then the cups themselves didn't even fit. I thought about pulling out the asymmetry pads that came with the bra to see if that made the cups fit better, but really this one was too much of a disaster on me to really try.

The band was nice and tight. Actually, it may have been a little too tight, but just barely! The shape was good like all of Ewa's bras, but because of the small cups, I just got a lot of quadraboob. All the quadraboob occurred near the center gore.

Definitely not the size for me. I think I prefer the shape of the PLs and CHPs anyways, so I am going to stick with those and hope I can find a nice home for this one.
