Update: I still love this bra! I do have to wear it on the tightest set of hooks and it ever so slightly rides up during the day. After trying a few new BM’s in a 65GG, I’ve concluded that they are not exactly a sister size (same cup smaller band). The proportions are slightly different but enough to feel a 65G would be a better fit.

I purchased this in EUC second hand, and I was so excited to get it today in the mail! I’m in love with the color! It’s a beautiful mauve pink-purple color. As soon as I put it on it was instant ... ahhhhh. This bra is very comfortable. I’m currently in between sizes with EM, and right now I’m trying to figure out what works best. I will also try a 65GG in the future as I think that might be my best fit with this style.
The band in this is comfortable, and I will be wearing this on the tightest set of hooks. The band is a silky smooth fabric with an inside layer and a strip of lace detail that runs the whole length of the bottom of the band. It has 3x4 hooks. The cups are a lovely lace with the whole inside of the cup lined with a white mesh. The bottom of the cup has non stretch white mesh while the upper cup has a detached stretchy layer of white mesh under the upper cup. There are satin bows where the cup meets the strap as well as the center gore. The lace is very soft and actually looks pretty smooth under a light knit top. I love this so much I also purchased two more bras from the same seller in the same size.

Wow this bra is so pretty! I love the color. It looks great on you!

    • alisa Thank you. The pictures don’t do the color justice. Like many of EM bras, they are a work of art.

This bra looks so gorgeous on you. That colour on your skintone is magical!

Wilderness1 Thank you so much. I think this is one of those colors that would flatter many skin tones and complexions. It’s a shame it has to stay under a shirt all day.

A mostly positive review again! Hooray!

I think this is the last bra from the trip over to Forever Yours Lingerie in Langley, BC. I was over there from the “big island” in mid November to help a friend move. I was in the store in the morning while she was working and picking up the new keys.

Ironically, this is the first bra that I tried there (and the last to review here). I was hesitant to try it because it is bright blue and I have a bright blue BM Wersal. Only that pales in comparison to the vibrant hue of this one (I know because I ... was wearing my Wersal that day!).

The way the shop works is that they have a massive stock room with full/available sizes and a few sizes on display at the front. They had this one, and I had suspected, based on the 65F Kleks, that it was going to be too small. I was right. Sadly, they did not seem to have a 65FF or 70F, which I would usually take in Ewas.

The band was a little bit snug on me, and the fitter asked me about it. Was I comfortable enough with it? It’s funny because she measured me at 28G, which is my technical size, but she was concerned that the 65 bands were too tight for me. I think I must have rib cage issues which make me not fit comfortably with 28 bands. Anyway, it wasn’t a full lace band so I probably could have done a 65FF with maybe an extender for a bit, or a 70F but it might stretch out too fast. I would have probably been ok in either size. My Cabernet is 65FF and my Wersal is 70F (but only 3 columns of hooks instead of the usual 4).

As you can see, it is very close to fitting. My small boob is pretty much perfect fit but my larger one is compressed a little bit and spilling out slightly. By Bibi Black is a tiny bit bigger than this. This was pretty close to the 65F SF Fruit Cocktail bra.

I’m kind of undecided on the colour. I’m not usually a super bright bra person, but every now and again, I do love a vibrant colour like the green of the Freya Deco, and I had a raspberry pink and I do think there’s a place in my bradrobe for the odd fun bright colour. This one is close to the Wersal yet different enough. I did like it, but I did think that the Malachit and Bluberry/Zmierzch were better on me. And the Fruit Cocktail bra.

    • Oh I love that colour!!! Why she doesn’t sell on her website 😭 I don’t need more bras but it looks better than wersal or Chaberek to me 😅

    • I’m not sure but I know that FYL has a few exclusives. But I’m pretty sure that I saw some Ewa photos of this one so I don’t know.

    • 1

This colour is so beautiful! I definitely see that it's too small on your 'larger side', and it's also a bit low coverage on your 'smaller side' for a BM. Beautiful though, thanks for reviewing it.

    • 1

Wow that colour is great! I also agree with the others, it looks a bit low coverage/small on you.

    • 1

I saw someone added ice blue as S, so I’m wondering if I can get as a PL. but it’s also nice as a BM even though it’s close-ish to Wersal. Yeah it’s definitely too small. Nipple placement is off as well.

    • 1

Calluna Yup! I got the Ice Blue S and love it! The color is gorgeous. I would definitely reach out to Kaska and see if she could make a PL for you :)

    • This color looks outstanding on you! Gorgeous!!

    • Love4Pollinators thanks! I was a little bit unsure about the colour at first.

    • That is an amazing color. I wish I knew my size in S so I could get one!

    Didn't fit

My first time trying Ewa Michalak and I have not been disappointed! My shape is projected, full on top and centre with narrow & tall roots. Soft tissue and extremely close-set breasts. I usually take 28F in UK bras but got 65F in this since I heard the band runs small and I was recommended to take a cup size up in the padded styles of EM. The band stretches to 27 inches - it feels a little tight even on my 27-inch underbust so I would recommend to size up for 2 band sizes. As I prefer not to use cookies, my smaller boob occasionally gaps during ... some parts of my cycle but it is perfect to wear before/during periods. The bra is very supportive with deep & narrow cups and a low & narrow gore. The cups are also open on top. The strap is a bit flimsy though, but that's okay because most of the support should come from the band. As the cups are projected, it is also a little bit pointy. Since I prefer a rounder shape, I might try a 3D next time.

  4. S Diament (582)

    60KK

    Didn't fit

S Diament Multiway (60KK) is a smooth black bra in a satin finish that comes with 3 sets of removable straps. The straps are a standard pair, a “padded for comfort” pair that are wider over the shoulders, and then a 3rd longer singular strap to use in halter style. The cups are standard S style format, with 3 lower sections and one upper horizontal section. It is lightly foam lined, and comes with removable cookies.

    Details/oddities noted:
I have tried 9 S style bras so far, and this one is definitely unique. The cups have a lot more give to them than the others which is odd and makes ... this one a lot less supportive. The unstretched cup measures smaller than my other S style 60KK bras, yet the stretched cup measures larger than my 60L S style bras. I haven’t compared the foam density yet, but this one has different qualities for sure.

    As for fit:
I do not rock this bra like Frazzleberry does, that is for sure!

The cups fit almost like my 60L Zielony currently does (hugging my breasts perfectly but with a bit more spillage) *except* for the base of the cup, which is too shallow and won’t let my breasts into its sacred space. While the S style is notoriously shallow, I haven’t experienced this much lower cup resistance before, even within the same size.

With the straps on, the cups are small but should still be wearable under most of my shirt choices, though the bottom of the cup issue is less than ideal. I planned on wearing this one without the straps, but the bra structure is not as sturdy as my other S style bras, so unfortunately the cups collapse horribly without the straps on, so that is out. (And yes, I know that it specifically states on Ewa’s site that this one is not intended to be worn strapless, but since I am able to wear my other S style bras without putting the straps over my shoulders, I figured this one would be perfect for that purpose.) I don’t use the cookies, though I wish I could with this one due to the structure issue. The extra padding should stabilize the bottom of the cups better, but unfortunately this would result in my nips sitting above the cup even without a swoop n scoop, so it is not an option.

The plus is that the padded straps are super comfortable so that is what I'll be using. I can't try them as an X back though since I have the straps completely out in standard formation.

My nips stick out the top of the cup with a Swoop n Scoop so I refrained from doing one, but I am not sure if this will be problematic with all day wear, so this one may ultimately become a no go like so many bras before it.

Overall, I am not impressed with this bra enough to try it again in the 60L. I had higher expectations, but this one definitely fell short of my visions for it.

I went overboard with the photos, trying to capture the shape difference and oddities of the fit without the straps, with the halter strap, and with the padded comfort straps. Hopefully it is helpful instead of annoying for those considering this bra.

    And for the technical aspects:
All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same reason.

The band measures 22” and stretches to a max of 28.5”. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 12”
2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 15”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

The cup height seemed short for this size at 8.25”, though my FC/S Belladonna Nununu was the same height. My 60Ls are all 9” tall, and the 60KK Porto was 8.5” which is more logical in comparison. The wire width is within the normal range at 6.25” wide. The gore is tall in comparison to my other S style bras at 4.25”.
My other 60KK was 3.375”, and my 60Ls are 4” 4.5” and 4” tall. I find this odd since a taller gore typically means more stability which is not the case with this bra.

An S that is so short. Weird! I love that though. I’m sorry it doesn’t work for you.

    • 1

aw man that's too bad that it didn't work out :( .. I wonder if the shortness is a thing with this particular model? Looking back on my measurements, I noticed it was measured at 8.5 also...

On another note, I also have permanent marks due to wide straps, I didn't entirely realise it until I saw the pic and was like..hey I have those lol... I also have some what seems to be permanent bruise marks from too wide wires >.>

    • 3

I have permanent marks under my boobs from the wires rub my rib flares, marks from the gore sitting on my breast tissue, marks from too wide set straps... I feel like people don't talk about these things that happen with heavy breasts. Everyone says the marks are supposed to go away, but they just don't. I've only seen one person say that this happens, Georgie from Fuller Figure Fuller Bust.

    • 1

Sorry this did not work out. I think all of you pictures are always very helpful because it really shows all of the angles of a bra.

    • 3

I am assuming that the shortness has to do with the cup distortion when changing the strap positions (halter vs X back vs standard etc) so Ewa designed it shorter to lessen said distortion? That’s at least what my mental logic tells me! Maybe that is why the foam seems more flexible as well, to better accommodate the lessened horizontal volume availability?

The shortness isn’t too much of an issue (aside from the nip slip haha) but the lack of firm structure is more alarming since the base collapses. The height may be good for you Sovavosi, but I would be concerned with the base being a big issue for you since it has even less immediate space and wants to collapse. If you want to borrow it to try out, just let me know. 💕

Straps and wires…why must they be so body destructive? At least I know I am not alone with the permanent markings. (Thank you Frazzleberry for sharing my pain with the strap marks.)
Aside from Panache, I never get a tack so I don’t get gore wire marks thankfully. I haven’t noticed base wire marks, though that doesn’t mean they aren’t there, just that I haven’t noticed them yet, haha.)

I spent over two weeks without wearing straps on and it didn’t change my strap marks at all, so I can confidently say they are permanent. I assume that most women don’t talk about the marks being permanent since 80% of women are wearing the wrong size? Too big band with too small cup would result in a loose unsupportive band that wouldn’t give wire dig in and with cups too small the straps would definitely be more inset (and float off the arm area) so far less likely to produce lasting marks.

Thank you braluv. My theory is that everyone looks for a different problem area within a bra, so the more photos the better chance of helping to answer those “visual” questions we all have, right?

    • 2

This bra was my one and only venture into S territory. I found it to be extremely jiggly and unsupportive and that's why I never tried another S.

    • 1

Stinkmouse If mine is anything like yours, don't judge the S style on this bra! This one is not like my other S styles in fit or support. The normal S is much better.

*I forgot to note that Kaśka discouraged me from getting this, stating it wouldn't work as well in this size range. Also, when I tried ordering it in a 60L last year I was told no.
Why didn't I remember that? Haha!

The lace on this bra is gorgeous. I love the bright summery turquoise and it makes me so happy to see some juicy color from Ewa. This bra is fun! With the bright blue lace, the sheer white peek-a-boo mesh, and the unexpected polka-dot bows this was a no brainer for me.
It is not overtly sexy, it is cute and girly. Which is still sexy but in a different way - a more me way.

The lace and mesh are both really soft and seem to be holding up well. I've had this set long enough that it has been washed a few times and it still looks great! ... I've had a few BMs get pilled up right away, but this isn't one of them.

In terms of fit, this is more of the same. Good projection, narrow but hard wires, gore is a little high for me and the band runs tighter with not a lot of stretch to it. The straps are easy to adjust, stay in place, and adjust short enough for me.

I got two thongs to go with my bra, I got them in 38 but should have gotten a 36. They run a little big and I don't need the extra space for my butt. They don't fall off or look sloppy, but sizing down would have been better for me. I love the lace on top of the mesh, it's an adorable style.

I'm so excited for this one. I love the color and the BMs are great for summer. I wish she would come out with more SMs though. Those are my diehard favorites.

    • 2

gratiat same! I got all the BMs because they do fit well, but I'd love some colorful mesh or embroidered SMs.

    • 1

This is so gorgeous! Did you order directly from Ewa? I also agree that we need more SM styles!

    • 5

ProperlyFitted yes, I got it direct. I'm a little nervous SMN is going to be made in lieu of most SMs. Which is fine, but they're all too sexy for my taste. I'm just bored of beige, black, and strappy.

    Fits

I first saw a promo photo of this bra when I was at Jaimie of BraObsessed's house like, a little over three years ago? Before it was available on Ewa's website. And it's the only bra for which I ever audibly gasped when I saw it for the first time. Then, when Sonya bought this bra a year and a half ago, I made a really cringey comment on her review saying that it looks amazing and it would fit me perfectly if she ever decided to part with it (lmao I'm so sorry for that Sonya), and lo and behold, she graciously contacted me ... earlier this month to see if I was still interested in it. I am so glad she did, because (spoiler alert) this bra does in fact fit me perfectly.

First of all, the appearance. I still think this bra is one of the most unique I've ever seen in terms of colour palette (granted, I feel like other Polish brands, probably Kris Line, Gorsenia, and others, have similar looking bras too; I guess I'm just intrigued by greyish/taupe bras), and I absolutely love the greyish taupe base colour with the light grey lace (another unique characteristic for this bra; I feel like none of Ewa's other bras have used this same lace) and the light pink ribbon details. I just think this bra exudes glamour and sophistication.

The fit is actually so excellent, I am shocked. The only other S I've owned was the S Syrena in 60G, and that was overall too big for me, but I was worried that the cup volume of Glamour would be too small. My Syrena measured 9.6" cup depth, and Glamour measures 8.9" cup depth, so it's quite a big difference. Luckily, Glamour fits absolutely perfect in cup volume (without the pads). Any smaller and I would have quadboob; any bigger and I would get gaping. I'm grateful for the narrower wires, too (Glamour's 5.1" vs. Syrena's 5.9"). The gore soft tacks, which I'm happy with, and the band fits perfectly on the first and second hooks, depending on how snug I feel like wearing it. It gives me a slight peaked appearance, but still overall round and projected. I also wore this bra for a solid 8 hours or so yesterday (including 5 hours of serving) and it stayed in place and was comfortable for the duration.

Overall, I'm extremely happy that Sonya contacted me to pass this bra along (thank you!!!). I think I'll be getting plenty of use out of it.

  7. Bm La Gloria (1173)

I'm currently measuring a 27.0" underbust, which I find to be quite surprising. The band on this bra stretches to 27.5" before there's wire distortion. I'm wearing this bra on the loosest hooks, but I feel like I could get away with the third hookset already due to slight sliding.

I think that the cups fit amazing. I feel like I've got a fantastic happy medium going on with it. My smaller side has a bit of gapping at the top of the lace, while my larger side is straining a bit, but isn't bulging. Pictures don't show the straining as much, but as I'm sitting here writing (and ... admiring my breasts), I can feel my larger side cutting into the lace a little bit. This affirms, to me at least, that I'm in between a KK/L cup. I think when I hit high tide, this bra is going to be too small. You'll also notice that on the side view on my larger side, not all of my tissue is encapsulated by the bra cup, but it's pretty close.

I'm pretty happy with the fit, albeit it's not perfect, but it's 10x better than my current 65J bras that are digging mercilessly basically everywhere.

Sovavosi Thanks! I think this is why Brownie fit so weird to me. It must have been 1.5ish cups too big on my smaller side and just right to .5ish cups too big on my larger side. I think high tide would be a fantastic time for a 60L BM 🙃

Ooh. That might be interesting! I was a little worried about the measurement of my stretched band. I didn't realize how tiny my underbust was today haha.

    • 3

This looks gorgeous on you, it really does! You must be so happy to have a great fit.

On a bra-nerdery level, your comment about containment is interesting and brings up an often-neglected issue about fitting full bust bra-wearers for optimal support. As far as I can tell from the fit on numerous users across diverse size ranges, the BM model is not necessarily DESIGNED to cover and contain 100% of the wearer's tissue (overall Polish bra brands are much less likely than UK, US or even French ones to ever offer a truly full-coverage style because I guess those are not popular with their local customers). So, depending on where the uncontained tissue is and how the bra behaves when it's worn, that may or may not indicate a size problem per se. On the other hand, in your size range it's not uncommon for people to prefer a fit where they do have true/complete containment, because this can help maximize support, keep everything feeling more secure and is often the best way to overcome the problem of cup edges too shallow to allow a full tack.

Of course, designing a bra that will provide both full coverage on most wearers AND that has more centered straps, is definitely an even more direct path to maximal support for the higher cup volumes... many brands specialized in the plus size/full cup market seem aware of this, so it would be really pretty cool if the ones who design for small band sizes could also accept that idea! The success of more "retro" pinup styles might eventually persuade them, who knows.

    • 3

wendybien but of course centered straps can also close the top center of the cups, leading to a bra that is either too short/closed- and that doesn’t work for a fot and/or centerfull shape.

I have been trying to figure out how I would create a bra that is round enough for my fot and centerfull shape, closed enough for my short roots, and has centered straps. It’s a conundrum.

    • cupandahalf this is true as well! But if you're considering designs that return to the really old-school levels of coverage, you can often bypass that issue by simply raising the "neckline" of the bra so high that the cup edge is no longer traversing an area of substantial boob tissue. For some people this could make the gore too tall of course. And if you make it nonwired, many cup constructions can result in an east-west shape that some people do not like. So you have to find a way through all these constraints of course. You should blog about your process if you are trying to figure out a homemade pattern!

Strictly in terms of support, though, the level of strap-spacing insanity that can be observed on the designs for the wearers with the smallest backs and largest cups is an obvious fail. So obvious that I think it reflects a simple choice not to work further on the grading for those sizes because they don't sell as many of them, and because they have a captive customer base.

    • 2

Yes, my problem is that my breasts touch in the center about 2.5 inches up from my root so I also can’t do a high gore. I sew all my rtw bras gores together at the top because otherwise they don’t tack and the bra completely destabilizes and slides down.

Also, I’m so high set that I’ve actually bent over and poked myself in the chin with a gore that was higher than 4 inches! So a high gore would make most of my clothes unwearable. I have been trying to figure out if I could do something with a Plunge high apex bra.

I agree, and I believe it’s just large cup in general. There aren’t too many of us in the J+ range and we are sort of stuck with the few brands we get.

My shape is somewhat low set, narrow and short rooted, slightly pendulous, and soft.

This bra is a beautiful vibrant red colour. It is the full lace version of the BM. The cups are fairly rounded, more than I expected them to be, and this 65FF size fits so much better than the 65F Antonina I tried. It is less pointy than I expected, and I find it very comfortable to wear. I feel totally held in place. There is also no in cup quadding visible, which I often get with unlined bras. The wires are faily narrow, and there is decent depth at the wire and apex. I ... did have to pull the cups up to avoid minor wrinkling next to the wire though. I haven't worn this bra around, so I'm not sure if that wrinkling would return after wearing it for a bit, but it went away once I pulled the cups up over my breasts completely. The materials are soft and I didn't get any chafing anywhere. The band was nice and firm, with a stretched measurement of just over 28" before the wires distorted, which I love. The straps adjusted long enough for my tall/lower set frame, so that was great too.

Overall, lovely and lively colour and excellent quality and comfort.

Wow! This looks amazing on you! So glad it’s not pointy on you. How does it fare for the white t shirt test? Allegedly, red is the best colour to wear under white to disappear.

    • 1

      Beautiful!

    • 1

Thanks. I'm pleasantly surprized that it fits. I was actually expecting it to be too large on me, but it fits and gives a moderately rounded shape. I just hope it still fits when I lose this 5 pounds I have on my belly. My boobs shrink really fast when I lose weight.

Oh crap, I didn't try the white t-shirt! I've already bagged it up to go back so I can order the La Gloria instead. I considered keeping this one too actually since it's so pretty, but I can't afford both, so....

    • 1

It looks wonderful on you. 💜 Glad it is a great fit!

    • 1

Fingers crossed for the La Gloria!

    • 1

      Thanks MamaPagan !

    • 1

This looks so good on you! Sorry you're not able to keep it. I bet the La Gloria will be stunning on you.

    • Thanks Sonya . I can't wait for La Gloria to arrive, but it will be a few weeks. I think Magda just did a group order, so I can't place mine for another month or so (and then it still has to be made and mailed). I think it'll be worth the wait!

    • 1

This looks great on you! Hopefully la Gloria fits just as well

    • Thanks Frazzleberry ...I hope so too, but I guess sometimes you just never know when the bras are handmade!

    • 1

Wilderness1 that's so true, but I'm crossing my fingers that it works out

    • 1

Wow! This is gorgeous. I can not wait to see how the La Gloria fits and looks.

    • Thanks rachaelll, I can't wait either. I've been drooling over La Gloria since it came out... too bad I can't just order it now so it arrives in 1 week.... gotta wait for it to be made.

    • 1

The La Gloria briefs look super cute too. I love the colour of the bra, but the briefs are so unique in comparison with some of the other ones that they were a part of what sold me.

    • 2

Wilderness1 I'm tempted to order one too! The 65ff fluo I have isn't a perfect fit, but it seems like from others comments and reviews it might not be a 'standard' 65ff. And la gloria is the colour of my dreams.

    • 2

Calluna I do like the briefs too. I don't usually order sets because of the cost, but I have considered ordering those because they are so cute.
rachaelll It seems like you never know 100% what you're getting with EM these days. It IS such a beautiful colour. I sent Magda an email, but she's out of town until Monday, so I'm not sure when her next order is?

    • 1

Eek! Maybe I will have a chance to save up before the next order goes in. Otherwise I will be living vicariously through you Wilderness1

    • 2

Wilderness1 I believe Magda needs an order of 10 or more bras to submit it to Ewa. With the last order submitted 2/4, it's a matter of generating enough interest now or the luck of new releases becoming available, so I am thinking some time between 2/18 and beginning of March. :-/

    • rachaelll and MamaPagan yeah, I knew it would be a few weeks. I emailed her a few days ago and she said she was just about to put in an order and wouldn't be doing another one for like a month. She's emailing me back on Monday to confirm my order, but yeah... it'll be a while! Wish I could have it now, but I have to exercise all the patience I have.
How long does it take once the order goes in??

    • Last time it was a week but with Ewa prepping for the new release sale, I would think it will be longer this time. Sorry. :-/

    • Awe, bummer.

    • Indeed. :-/ *But* you can always ask Magda to see if she could add La Gloria to her existing order. Ewa usually allows it if it's not towards the end of order production, so there may still be time.

    • I'm hoping she will! That would be awesome! I'll she what she says when she gets back to me!!

    • 3

Fingers crossed that Ewa allows it. 🍀🍀

    Didn't fit

I hemmed and hawed about buying this bra, not being sure about the print, but I am SUPER happy that I bought it.

The print is so 1950's and I love that stuff. It's so obnoxiously Grandma that it's kinda hot.

This SF has stretch lace at the top of the cup and I like that more than the mesh on the beige one that I bought. I also love that the printed fabric is used for the band.

Fit is perfect except for the classic SF bottom of cup wrinkling. I'll deal with that.

UPDATE: after a month of wearing, this is my FAVOURITE bra. It's the most comfortable and supportive one I own. Everything about it, especially the band, is about as close to perfect as I can expect - even with my 1/2 cup size asymmetry. I really hope she releases more like this in the near future.

      This looks great on you!

1950's! Funny. I love retro stuff, maybe I should look at this one again.

    • I can't remember what you've said about SF before. Do you find it shallow at the wire? I'm debating if the SF would fit me better than BM, but I'm not sure about it if it's shallow at the bottom?

    • 2

Wilderness1 They are, and the wires are also shaped more like / rather than | under the armpit, if that helps.

    • 2

@Wilderness everyone "complains" about wrinkling in the bottom of Sf cups. Even on Ewa's models, you'll see the wrinkling. I'll wear the bra today and let you know if it slips down out of my imf - then I'll know if it's a depth at the wire issue.

    • 1

oh ok, thanks Sovavosi ! I'll have to give it some thought then...

    • 2

It's better in person than on the photos, right? I am very fond of this one.

    • @Wilderness Sovavosi is correct about the wire shape. If you look at the side of my SF versus my BM Bibi you can see. In my size it's not that great a difference though. Maybe 3/4 - 1 cm more open wire under the arm pit.

    • 1

MamaPagan I am in love with it. I also bought the matching panties during the sale in size 46. LOL. I did that on purpose - Julia at Ellesmere is going to cut them up and make 2 pairs of tangas for me. I have Wersal and Bibi Perlas too, to do the same thing.

    • 1

Damn, that was a genius idea AprilGoulding! And it makes tje price per pair even cheaper!!!

    • 1

Yes! I paid $20 Can (including duty) for the panties. Julia can make 2 pairs out of it, so once I pay her for labour and new elastics, I'll have 2 maybe 3 pairs for about $50...

Out of the three 65J's I got, I felt this one ran large and more along the lines of a 65JJ size, maybe even a 65K as it fits better than my Sofia. I actually loved this more in person than on the website. My one big complaint, but it's a personal thing really, is that the extra fabric they added for the "Longline" part bunches up a little in that space between my tummy and my under-breast area. Strapgate is still going strong. I think it's a good fit, but looking at my photos, I'm running into that slight outerboob escaping on my larger side. Again, not sure if that's to do with the wire not being tall enough or the cup being too small for my large side. All in all, I really like this bra. The materials are so, so soft.

Those super wide straps, so tired of them! This one looks good on you and I don't really see it bunching up in the photos.

    • 1

Oh me too Sovavosi. Me too. Thank you! I really like it :) And I should have reiterated that while you can't see it in the photos, after a brief amount of time of moving around, the faux band rode up a little.

    • 2

Really beautiful! I totally agree that it looks much better on you than on the website. The croptop part yet again fits much nicer. They need you and MamaPagan to model it, so everyone would have a better idea of what to expect.

    • 2

      veggiechic D'aww thanks :')

      @mamapagan modeled it wonderfully!

    • 1

This looks great on you and I agree with veggiechic about the 'longline' part looking much better in these pics than what's advertised.

    • 1

I'd like to try this one at some point, but my bands always roll up because of my stomach. Brownie is this without the bottom part, correct? I'd just get that one instead.

    • 1

You are rocking it girl! It looks really good on you, and I agree it fits larger than the others in the same size, which is very much a good thing! :-)

The lace is so soft isn't it? Dreamy.

      @VeggieChic haha! Your too funny!

    • 1

Sovavosi yes I am 99% positive that Brownie is the same lace.

    • 1

      Frazzleberry thanks! :)

@sovavosi that's what the general consensus was about Brownie. I think I'd like to try it still anyway haha

@mamapagan thanks! And yes it does! It's a fantastic thing! I loved how my bras fit today, especially when I went in with the mentality that nothing was going to fit! It was awesome. And yes! That lace makes me swoon. It's so nice. Truly.

    Fits

Well, I’ve had this bra for close to a month now, so it’s probably time for me to write my review of it. What do you think? Yeah? It’s been a little difficult to get into the right space to do this, and partly because I have so many feelings about this bra. But here I am now, laying it all out now.

The background of the bra is that this is the first brand new Ewa Michalak bra I’ve purchased. Everything else prior has been from the listings or a Facebook group. But those were all HUGELY instrumental in making this purchase, and I couldn’t have done ... it without them. But not only is it my first brand new Ewa, it’s also my first BM bra. I pretty much saved my money all summer and fall (because I had used some of it for more used Ewas which were actually the most instrumental in my choosing this size) and then I made the biggest bra gamble of my life to date and bought this bra during the Black Friday sale that Broad Lingerie in Toronto was having. I don’t live in Toronto, but the owner, Sam, was hugely helpful, as was the rest of her staff. I also had a ton of great help here from the members helping me with my decisions. (THANK YOU!) Naturally, I decided to buy this bra in the middle of a postal strike, however the strike was ended soon after and I waited so patiently for this to arrive. I believe that this style is limited to a few specific shops, as it is not on the Ewa website.

And then it came. It was all mine! MINE MINE MINE!

I posted some sneak peak pics in another post when it came, and I got a lot of great feedback that this 65FF is the right size and looked great. I must admit that I am still not 100% sure. A huge part of me wants to try a 65F or 70E. I’m willing to bet that they’ll be too small, but given how my 65F SM Wrozka fits when I am not in high tide and what I know about this cut now, I feel like I might be able to pull it off. But I won’t know anything until I can get one to try. I vacillate between whether I think that it’s a good fit and if it’s not. Sam had suggested that it is pretty good but maybe borderline too big but also unsure if sizing down would work either.

Now let’s veer off a moment and discuss my shape and what I am dealing with. I have tallish roots that are shallow, so I have some functionality of short roots, but sometimes the cutting in problems that can happen with taller roots. My tissue is pretty soft and malleable, and I have center fullness with close-ish set breasts (splayed unsupported). My vertical fullness leans towards the full on bottom side of even. This adds to a more functional shorter root. I’ve had a bit of new growth since fall and my fullness, in particular, has definitely changed some (I am filling out the cups in my 30F Cleo Marcie better than when I got it last spring for example). I have narrowish roots and am pendulous. I need narrow wires with more immediate depth than apex depth.

Now back to this bra...it’s a very lovely shade of burgundy, much like the wine for which this was named after. Capturing the true colour on my phone was challenging and none of the pictures show exactly what I see, plus different lighting really makes a difference. I think that it’s closest to what you can see of the lace in the back view of the cups picture and the one with the size tags that follows it. Cups are the standard BM full lace cups with the upper portion being stretch lace lined with stretch tulle. At the straps, she has a folded over bit of satin, fastened with a button in a sort of a bow but not a bow way. The center gore is adorned with a full satin bow and two buttons positioned vertically below it. It’s actually quite cute. Not girly cutesy cute, but just a nice touch. The lace has a bit of a rose pattern to it which I think is a nice touch...because roses and wine go together in a romantic sort of way (but not for me because I get migraines from the scent).

The band is what I believe is power knit mesh based on other reviews, and is fairly snug but stretchy. I was expecting it to be a bit stretchier, to be honest, as this one barely gets to 29” and that’s my minimum comfort measurement. It’s probably like 28.8” or 28.9” in reality but I just marked it 29”. I can wear it but it’s sometimes feeling borderline too tight. I think I would have to go in a few hooks if I was in a 70 band, but both are good and have their issues. This one will probably stretch out with more use soon.

The stretch lace feels quite nice and comfortable...I worry about it stretching out with swoop and scoop. I don’t have any gaps and it is smooth across my upper tissue, but I do wonder if I had a bit more upper fullness if I would fill it out better. This is partly why I am keen to try a cup size down. The straps are on the wide side, but such is life with Ewa. I have to angle them. I also feel like I have to keep them a bit tight for the best shape. They feel better looser but I feel like it compromises the fit. I only really feel like they’re tight initially. Over time, I don’t notice as much, but I’m still trying to get the sweet spot for them. I’m getting nice lift, but feel like maybe not as much as I should or can get? I’m not sure.

The wires feel like they’re a tad bit wide for me, but when I remove the bra, the marks do follow the root. I think that it’s because I have soft tissue, and that I am able to fit into narrower wires because my side tissue can shift forward a bit and still be contained, whereas, with the wires a little wide, my tissue has a bit more room to spread back and out. I would prefer something closer to 5” than this, but this is the edge of my acceptability for wire width. Like, a quarter inch smaller would be ideal.

I think what bothers me the most about the bra is the wrinkles at the wire. I gather that this is common for this style, but I have more wrinkles than I expected, and I think that the lace being stiffer I’m some parts exaggerates it somewhat. I’m doubting that a cup size change will fix this. It’s got decent projection, but just not quite as projected at the wire for me...although maybe slightly too deep at the apex for me as I am getting a somewhat pointy shape, which like I said earlier, might be a problem because I have less upper fullness. The shape definitely more natural, and it looks better under some tops than others. My work scrubs top for my pharmacy shifts is basically a tent so no one can see my shape anyway. Lol

I’m still very glad that I have this. I’m not 100% sure it’s the right size or style for me, but I am keen to try more for bra science. I’m hoping to do a swap for a half lace BM in same cup volume so we’ll see how that works. It’s possible that the tiny bit extra small that the half lace cups fit will be enough. Keep your peepers open for more Ewas and Comexim coming...

Just keep in mind a half lace does not fit like a full lace as it doesn't have that second layer to give it more structure. I find it will droop during the day.

    • I still think this one is a good fit. :-)
      And looks good too!!

    • It looks great on you 😀

    • 2

This is a super pretty bra and looks great on you. If i've learned ANYTHING in the past few months, it's that finding a bra that's "perfect" is nearly impossible - even my custom-made ones have little "imperfections". If its comfortable and supportive, it's a keeper in my books.

    • 2

The fit questions can be interpreted as very rigid. For example, the bottom of the SF wrinkles on everybody. That doesn’t make it a fit issue, but a strict interpretation of the question would.

    • I agree this looks wonderful on you!

    • This looks gorgeous on you!

MamaPagan apart from my surgery my breasts haven't changed in years. They were consistent from 16-33. Then fluctuations during pregnancy and nursing. Them consistent from 36-44. I know. You'll hate me.

    • So pretty on you. Thanks for the thorough review.

I found some underwear at La Senza that was on sale, so I got a Brazilian and thong... I never wear thongs but it’s quite romantic sexy with the bra and will be nice for special occasions. I added pics, but none of them with me in the thong...not body confident enough for that one. It’s not an exact colour match, but it’s really close.

    • 1

It looks like a great color match!! Woohoo for a nice set! :-)

    • Thank you MamaPagan! I will see if I can get a few more pairs while they’re still on sale. I love the details of the thong in the back. The thong definitely puts me in the mood, but it probably isn’t daily wear for me. I can definitely do more of the Brazilian/briefs though. I like that it is satiny to match the band and wire under carriage or whatever it is called.

    • 1

      I believe it's called the Cradle. :-D

I hope you find a few more while the sale is on!

    • Yes, cradle sounds right.

    • Good find, those look great together.

    Didn't fit

This is one of my favorite bras, but I started wearing BMs long after it was sold out and never got it. It's been on my wishlist for years.

I saw a set pop up on a polish craigslist type of site and the 75F size was such a tease! So close yet so far https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />
Being obsessed with the bra, and bad at financial decisions, I had my friend martka00 get it for me.

It came and surprise! It was too big, far too big. I sadly listed it.

The other day I decided to just keep it and experiment with it. ... I couldn't wear it anyway and I didn't have it listed for much so I thought it was worth a try.

    I cut it up today.
This was really stressful for me, because I can't sew very well. I have a sewing machine, but I don't even know how to thread it. I've never really altered anything and the last time I needed a band taken in I paid Noob to do it for me.

Not knowing how to sew a zigzag by hand, and unable to use my sewing machine, I needed to figure out a way to cut the band down without undoing and reattaching the strap material along the wing. The original hook and eye set of this bra was really small and there was no way I was going to be able get all that material back into it once it was cut down. I ended up using two three row black extenders I had around but had never used. I removed the hooks from one and all the eyes from the other. These were tall enough for my purpose and even though the wings are still wrinkled from being crammed in there, I think it worked out pretty well!

Now the band stretches to 29" exactly, which is my happy place. Cutting down the band so much also moved the straps in towards the center which is good as they were wide before.
With a smaller band, the cups fit better. They are still too big and the upper lace is too loose for me, but I don't think this is visible under a shirt and I may just leave it as is. I've left the cup measurements blank for the time being, until I decide if I'd like to alter them or not. I'll need to actually wear it for an extended period of time to see if the loose lace annoys me.

I'll update here if I alter it more, but I wanted to get this down before I forgot how I did it.

I also added this as a new bra and marked my original measurements as no longer owned, so the dimensions of this bra in 75F are preserved.

Update: the wires were too wide and were digging into my underarm and sternum, I couldn't tolerate them with movement.
I swapped them out for 65F SM wires which are both narrower and shorter. This provided immediate relief from wire pain but left a lot of excess material at the gore. Out of curiosity I folded it down which pulled a lot of the lose lace taut. This bra is not, nor will it ever be, an amazing fit but it is good enough. It's wearable and it doesn't look awful. I would still love to actually have my size, but I'm really pleased with how it turned out.
I added a few pictures, if you look at the angle and side you can see the marks on my body from the old wires.

    • Glad your bra surgery was successful!

    • You did a really nice job! It looks great on

    • Nice! I wonder if altering the cup would also be a possibility, to sorta make the stretch lace tighter so it's not flapping around. But then that would also require cup depth to be altered and I can't even begin to figure out how that is done.
Maybe out btb seamstresses can pitch in with ideas.

    • 3

I think, if I do mess with the cups, I will either tack excess material to the bottom of the wire channel along the vertical seam, thus reducing cup height. Or tack the material to the wire channel along the horizontal seam and reduce apex and upper depth.
I could also put in a dart, but that might require more skill than I have.

    • You are very brave do this yourself! How is the wire for your frame?

    • 2

brasaremean they are too wide and a bit too tall. I'm not sure yet if they're painfully so, though.

I do have narrower wires I can swap them out for, but I think that would make the depth problem worse.

    • Impressive alteration! I wonder if I could do this with any of my ill-fitting, but pretty bra. You have given me so many ideas!

    • 1

I always fear wire replacement would make the cups deeper too. I think it would require a complete cup reconstruction to actually make it fit, but also if you think about it, the breast that escapes (if you have soft tissue like me, it literally fills out the cup to the wire no matter how wide it is) to the wire would be contained in the new wire, so maybe it wouldn't happen. Does that even make sense?

    • brasaremean It does to me since my breast tissue does the same thing. The path of least resistance for the breast tissue. This only works if the cup is compressive enough to squish the tissue sideways though, so may not help in the cup is too big to begin with. :-/

    • 1

Wow! I see you can’t let go this bra! :D I’m looking forward to see you end results as looks promising !

    • 1

      I really can't martka00 !

I'm wearing this today as a test run. Thinking about my solutions to the loose lace issue, I'm not going to be reducing it vertically. I'll probably lose wire projection if I do and it is so blissfully deep at the bottom, I don't think I want to give that up.

I think reducing it horizontally is also not the solution. Ewa's sister sizes do not scale, so while in theory this should be a 65G now, it is not. I'd say it is more a 65FF but with extra tall cups. I'm not having any trouble filling the bra out where it needs projection, which is why I'm getting a nice shape out of it despite the lace being floppy, the lace is simply laying on the shallow part of my upper roots where there's nothing to fill it. If I want to fix it, I will have to dart it. I may not as it seems to only be an aesthetic issue and not a fit issue.

brasaremean my tissue is moderately soft, but I have pretty narrow roots and even if I squish down, my breasts don't really go to the sides, so I can't fill out wider wires. If I wear a bra that's too small in the cup it just squashes me down and hurts since my breasts are firm enough through the center to push back against that pressure even if there's space that could be filled on the side. Does that make sense?
My issue with wider wires is my rib cage is really boney and I find Ewa's wires really hard, if they sit on my rib cage they sometimes hurt a lot. These are not awful, about .5" wider than I like, but we'll see.

    • 1

Did you try bending the wire to follow your body curve? Then just bend the ends slightly away so they don't poke your underarm tissue.

    • 3

Yep, I do that with all my bras actually since who the heck has a flat torso?

I bent the ends towards each other to make them slightly narrower also, but that only helps so much.

They've been okay so far, but I've also not been really active yet today.

    • 1

      ikr I don't know why wires don't come pre-bent :/

    • 1

I altered the wires and gore. I added more pics and updated the review.

    • Wow! Those alterations made such a difference. It looks beautiful on you.

Fluo's colour, which is her greatest asset, is crazy hard to capture on camera. It's neon cotton candy pink. For anyone who grew up in the 80s, they can reminisce.

I received B Antonina today as well, in the same size, but the 2 bras do NOT fit exactly the same.

Fluo is just not quite as projected at the wire AND the band is a little bit tighter. Not crazily so, just a tiny bit. I'm going to measure tonight to compare the 2. I'll upload the data.

That tiny bit of difference in projection at the cup means that I have a little bit of wrinkling at the ... wire on one side. Not enough to disturb me, though, especially since my breasts, apparently, will continue to drop and soften and be a tiny bit smaller over the next 6 months.

Fluo is comfortable, supportive and definitely fits well enough for me to keep it. Although, as previously stated, I am curious to try 65G in BMs now. I tend to like a lot of coverage in my everyday workhorse bras.

It looks great on you. As a teen in the 80s, I totally understand the appeal of this one. :-)

    • 2

      This colour!!!! It looks amazing.

    • 3

I have this bra too, and it is one of my favorites! Cameras do NOT capture the overall PINKNESS of this bra at all. It's just one of those things you have to see to believe.

    • 1

I commented and it dissapeared. What I said was that it looks like a good fit, especially compared to your 65Fs you tried. Is it comfortable and do you feel supported?

    • 2

@Wilderness yes! Very comfy. Great gore tack which is my usual flag of not enough projection.

    • Wow! Such a bright pink. I can see how the Fluo is not quite as projected at the wire as the Antonina. Glad that you are finding success with the new bras (mostly).

This bra was an impulse purchase. I bought a 60FF in an older CHP cut from Sonya to try out and found it a little too small. I wasn't sure if a 60G would be too big, but it seems like it is a perfect fit. I ordered this bra from Jamie at Bra - Obsessed and it arrived in 2 days. I highly recommend ordering from her if you are in Canada.

This bra is complete perfection. It fits like a glove. The colourway is so not my usual style - I tend to avoid bright colours and patterns - but I love it. The colours ... are so vibrant in person, it is like spring in a bra. The CHP cut is favourite EM cut, I have no problems with the cup depth and fill the bottom perfectly. The wire width is exactly perfect. With the cookies in, the cleavage this bra gives is borderline scandalous and husband approved. Aside from the incredibly wide straps, this bra fits gloriously. This is a mark in the win column.

    • I’m so in love with CHP Opium. I have the same thoughts about it as you. It’s so beautiful and so out of my normal comfort zone. I’ve been on the fence about what size to try, but I should be getting a 65FF to try along with a 30G Comexim plunge soon. So I will see. This looks beautiful! Does it feel a bit small still?

I was so excited to get my Ewa order this morning! This bra is beautiful! The printed satin is so soft and luxurious feeling. I wish it continued all the way around the back because the black mesh on the band is one of the things I don't like about this bra. It is very stretchy and also really itchy to me. I do also really like the lace on the tops of the cups and putting it on the gore too was a really nice touch.

As far as fit goes, its not my best. It seems to gap the same amount whether I have the cookies ... in or not so I think it may just not be the right shape for me, every other style I have tried seems to work better than the S, except for the hm which didn't fit me at all. I have the S Syrena in the same size so its hard not to compare the two. The porto has 0.4" shorter cups and the wires are 0.2" wider. The wings on the porto are 0.4" taller than the syrena. The band is also signifincantly smaller on the porto, but it is also much stretchier so it doesn't really feel like it. I think the porto gives a slightly more rounded, minimized shape than the syrena which has more of an uplifted peak. All in all, it's a beautiful bra but I think I am going to take a break from the S style for a while and avoid these stretchy bands.

Aw, I'm sorry it doesn't fit as well as you'd hoped. I will say that the colour looks great against your skin though-- you should definitely look into getting the BM!

    • It sounds like the bottom of the cup is too shallow for your breasts, which would be why the cookies don't change the fit, just push thr cups off the breasts instead.
If you like the look, yoy could always order it as a PL or SF style. Kaska confirmed the SF is possible and _booknerd_ ordered it in the PL so we know that's a yes too.

The color is lovely on your skin for sure!

    • 2

Thank you dark red and light blue are my favorite colors so I would love to have a Porto that fits perfectly!
I've emailed Kaska and asked her about making a S Porto or S Zielony Pieprzy made into a PL so here's hoping!

    • I'm sure it will be a yes. :-) Super exciting!!

    I'm in love!

I FINALLY received my EM 65G SM Rozmarzona today. It came to me via rachaelll and Sonya .

    It fits, girls https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> Even the panties fit https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

I am happy today, as I will now have 3 bras in my rotation lol (I lol because before my augmentation I had 40 bras (I gave them all away)).

After trying the PL Chalet in 65G and it not fitting (either too big or not projected enough), I was worried that this one wouldn't fit either.

    It's pretty darn good though. ... I'd give it a 9.5/10.

There's a TEENY bit of gaping right at the lace edge on top, but not worth complaining about. It tacks perfectly. The band is a nice tight 65. I'm wearing it at the loosest hook, but COULD wear it on the second. The straps are wide set, but the fabric is soft, the wings don't dig into my armpits, and the wires are PERFECT, so I think "we" will be ok.

I am normally not a fan of bows, but on this style they're oversized and it's a "cheeky, confectionary" look, so I like it.

The mesh is soft but stable and the lace isn't at all scratchy.

I've put it on and I'm not taking it off before bed https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

  18. Sf Blueberry (1420)

My first SF bra. Keep in mind I got it a couple days before my period, and my boobs today in particular feel HUMONGOUS as it goes.

I took a big big chance and ordered my new Ewas in a band smaller than before... however, I've been worrying and sweating over it thinking it will be too tight as SF Blueberry has a lacy band, however, I needn't have worried. The band is actually stretchier than my BM Fluo I got in the same package (and same size).

There are a couple of things I dislike about SF cut (just from first impressions), but I will talk about that later.

SF ... Blueberry in 70FF has 4 parts in the cup (I believe to add more structure, not sure if that is the norm for the cut or if it's the norm for the size). The bottom of the cup is very sturdy... at the seams. The fabric between the seams is not so sturdy honestly, but it's manageable. Important thing is it does not give me any cutting in the cup and that's all I can ask for at this point. The top of the cups is finished off with elastic tulle and lace that molds nicely to the breasts. The colour of this bra is just astounding. It's a rich dark blue and the black compliments it so nicely.
The bottom of the cup feels like it's empty. I had my mum evaluate this for me because I just couldn't do it myself and she says it's not empty, but the lace over the cup is very loose and makes it feel like it's empty when you touch it.
The cups (seams and lace) are visible under thin shirts.

The band at 70 definitely doesn't *feel* like it runs tight (I am a EU 70H but everyone says to size up in EM bras), it feels like it runs *tight enough*. When I move the band stays put and this is how I like my bands. I think once the fiber molds to the body and stretches out it will be perfection (this has been an issue with Ewa bands for me... the band on Bibi Black 80E stretched out so much I have to use a Rixie clip with it -- it's not optimal but it works, and on Bibi Bezova Perla 75F I have to fasten it on the tightest hook already).
My big, big, huuuge gripe with the band is that at this size it is 2 hooks. I'm not sure why, as on the one photo of the back of the bra on the website there are three hooks. The Fluo in the same size has 3 hooks. But on Blueberry it's 2. This is, imho... awful. I can get over it, of course, but I wonder why she would do this? I feel betrayed, lol. My boobs (and I assume any boobs in this size) are pretty heavy, they *need* that 3rd hook to give the extra stability to the band. This worries me a little bit.
But other than that the band really does feel perfect. The lace is definitely not making it any tighter imho.

The gore tacks beautifully, lies flat against my sternum. There's a little faux keyhole design on it and it's beautiful.
The wires are pure perfection. They wrap around my breasts perfectly, follow the root, I can barely even feel them to be honest. I was worried at this size they will be shorter but it is not an issue.

The straps are my personal horror story. I think (hope) they will stretch out as they are so so so short. I'm not kidding. The straps are so short I'm considering returning this bra. I definitely feel them digging into my shoulders, and I'm getting some slight neck pain too.. I think from here on out I will just add the extra 20pln to make the straps longer. For once I would like a bra that I can make the straps tighter on it, rather than making them completely loose and still have them dig into my shoulders.
The straps are also very wide set. I'm not sure if it's because of the size, the cut, or the model. Hopefully the discomfort will just go away with wear as it did with my other Ewa bras.

Now, the SF cut. I feel like my asymmetry is a little more obvious in this cut, can't quite put my finger on it but it's something about the shape of the cups I believe.
The shape is a teensy bit pointier than in my BMs which are perfectly natural shape.
Not sure if 2 hook is the size related standard for this cut but it's very very annoying.
The strong seams are not as comfortable as BMs, so I would not recommend this cut to anyone who has sensitive nipples or sensitive skin on their breasts.

final notes: I don't think I need to size up in cup as my smaller side feels like it's almost about to not fill out the cup in the deepest part of it. I do wonder if straps being so wide set is because I went down in band size... tho I don't see any wire distortion and the 70 band is definitely a good fit. It's the length of the straps that is making this bra a 3/5 in comfort for me, it has to be.
Or, maybe I'm just in that overly sensitive period of the month and everything bothers me. So I will follow this review up with an update in like a week or so to see how it feels then.

side note: this bra gives me some serious cleavage. I'm not usually looking for cleavage and I gave up on it a long while ago because the only bras I get cleavage in are the ones that are really small, but I'll take it when it's free like this!

side note 2: I don't know if I will be ordering any more of SF bras, not unless there is something that is really really pretty and I can't live without. BMs fit me very very well and they are comfortable. I would argue with the fact that the description for SF says: Perfect for soft and less firm breasts. My breasts are very soft, and more than less firm, they are extremely malleable, and the structure of SF cups makes them just sorta flop in the cups like pudding and get shaped by them rather than working with the cups to get the right shape. This is an issue I also encountered with Panache Jasmine and Envy. Luckily, the shape SF Blueberry gives me is passable, I'd say even more good than bad, while the Panaches gave me extreme pointy boob. Anyway, not to ramble on and on. Maybe SF bras are made for soft boobs, but not very soft. The plus side is that the top of the cups doesn't seem to be quad boob prone (unless you're in the wrong size, I guess) even if you have very very soft tissue like me. I will at some point try the S cut... once I get over my fear of ordering the wrong size in it. But for now, I will stick to BMs.

Update after wearing it a while:
No matter how much I try, I cannot make this bra work for me. The narrower cups coupled with not enough immediate projection make for a very bad fit that I have to keep adjusting during the day. I think I should have sized up in cup for this one.

All Ewa's bras have wide set straps. The SF feels really bad because the stiff fabric comes up so high.

I think it looks great on you though!

    • 2

the short straps are really concerning to me in general. I'm short - 5'2 - but my boobs are low set and on my larger side, i generally have the straps all the way out - how could a taller person possibly fit?

    • Sovavosi I did notice that actually, it's just on this bra it is actually somehow noticeable for me. It could be, like you said, because of the stiff fabric (and it IS stiff).

dbmamaz I'm about 5'6 (171cm) AND low set. The straps on most bras are a living nightmare, not gonna lie, but this is one of the rare cases where I'm actually feeling the effects of straps being so short. Twice I have asked in comments to have the straps made longer and twice they have convinced me not to do it but I really really think I need longer straps on these bras. If I wear these straps further out, they don't cut in as much for some reason, but they also feel like they're about to slide off my shoulders, lol. I wonder how much of a pain it would be to just make them shorter myself without having to send the bras back to have the alteration done.

    • I've noticed Ewa is making her straps shorter all the time! I usually have normal bras adjusted 75% (more than the average person) but I have to let her straps out almost all the way for some of the bras.

    • Gah, I was afraid of that because they have gotten exponentially shorter on each new bra I ordered. I figured it might be cause each new bra is also a sister size down of the previous but maybe not :/

    • Gah, I was afraid of that because they have gotten exponentially shorter on each new bra I ordered. I figured it might be cause each new bra is also a sister size down of the previous but maybe not :/

    • Super thorough review! Thank you for sharing so many wonderful details!!!

I agree with Sovavosi, the stiffness makes the straps more noticeable. I also feel the armpit curve is too straight which makes the straps eat the area more as well. If that curve was lower/more angled like a J instead of a /, the straps wouldn't feel so bad.

    • 1

I've been wearing it all day and I have to say I think whoever said (I think it was you MamaPagan ) that the cups do not have as much immediate projection as BMs was 100% right. The cups have been not only collapsing but also sliding down all day... bummer! It's beautiful, but not for me, I think.

    • I think most of us have said it but I'll gladly take credit for it here. :-) It is noticeable in many/most of Ewa's stock outside of her sister Gosik wearing them, so it is the norm in my opinion.
I still personally love the fit, comfort, and extra support they offer over the BM. BMs are still my favorite but SFs are a close second. Sorry it didn't work for you.

Also, for the S style go up a cup but keep the same band as your BM style size for the best fit.

    • 1

That is what I was leaning towards!

    • 1

I actually found I had to go up a size in SF compared to BM.

    • I do find the wires a little more narrow than on the BM Fluo, I feel like that might make up for need in size difference. The cup seems deeper too, than BM.

    • 1

Per Kaśka at EM, the cups on the full lace BMs are slightly more spacious than the half lace BMs, which are slightly more spacious than the SF style. Generally this is true, but does seem to vary by model, and possibly size &/or seamstress, too. Haha.

    • 1

      Yay inconsistency :)

  19. Bm Bakłażan (1417)

BM Baklazan is a beautiful dark violet bra. The lace is very delicate and soft and looks so so beautiful.

The bra fits about the same as my other BM bras.

Three part cups, with the top being very stretchy lace (stretchier than usual to be honest). I think this bra has some in cup quad potential because the lace on top is that soft and stretchy. If I puff my chest out I definitely get some quadding in my silhouette, luckily I don't usually do that in public so no big deal.

The band, even tho lined with lace, is a little looser than I'd like. I'd say overall, it's ... as loose as my 75F - Ewa Michalak » Bm Bibi Beżowa Perła (533) when I first got it. This worries me because if it stretches out it will be too loose https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_sad.gif" alt=":(" />. But we shall see what happens.

The gore overlaps and is very comfortable for me. Perfect tack. The little bow is very cute.

As a last minute alteration, Ewa made the straps longer for me. She added 10 cm to them and they are perfect https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />. That being said in the photos they are very loose because I didn't tighten them at all when I first tried it on. The bra still looks like it has enough support even so. Good to see my hunch was right that I don't actually need overly tight straps in order to carry the weight of my boobs.

Overall, this might be the prettiest BM bra of the lot. I can't get over how beautiful this lace is. The bra fits well enough, I think.

edit: After wearing it a while, I find 2 things about this bra that I did not initially:
    1. The lace under the cups bothers me a lot. I have to sort of bend the lace away from my body in order for it to not bother my skin. It's not that rough to the touch, though, but I guess my underbust skin is sensitive to it. I will not be purchasing any more bras that have that lace on the band under the cups.
    2. This bra is just not as supportive as my other BMs. They are all the same size, but this one offers considerably less support. Overall, I don't like wearing this bra.

Ewa did a fit customization?? What!!?!?! Unheard of.

Anyways, this looks beautiful on you. Perfect shape & I love the color. I love the BM bras, I wish her prices hadn’t gone up. I also wish i could get one of these mythical looser bands people are talking about lately. My 65 band Fluo has no stretch & is so tight.

    • 1

The bras fit really well but the straps were so so short it was giving me severe neck pain. I still wear the Fluo, but just cannot deal with the Blueberry straps. I explained the situation to them and they agreed to make them longer on my remaining orders, thankfully. They were about to ship them too but held off in order to make alteration. Kaska is a champion that she sorted this out for me!

And I really really think they are making bands looser now. I do have a Fluo in 70FF as well and it is considerably tighter than either of the bras I received today (or the SF I got). I'm talking like, these fit like true 70s, the Fluo fits more like a 65 on me.

It is also very possible the prices have gone up because of some new tax laws in Poland I heard about. In Eastern Europe in general the prices (of pretty much everything) have skyrocketed.
I do think it's unfair that she charges for Paypal fees as it's against Paypal ToS. On top of that, she also charges Paypal fees for the tax which is also against ToS. But alas.

    • I'm glad she lengthened the straps for you! It looks beautiful.
Have you considered reporting Ewa to paypal? If she clearly doing things against there ToS then she should be reported...but then again...knowing Ewa she'd just likely hike the prices up even more given her terrible attitude.

    • Eh I would personally not report for something like that, mainly because if it really bothered me then I would simply not get bras from them...

    • I have reported Ewa to PayPal. They didn’t seem to care.

    • Unfortunately I don’t have any other options for bras that fit well & I really can’t afford her anymore. The price after all her taxes & fees is beyond what I can really justify.

    • That is completely understandable. For me it's a little easier cause I pay way less for shipping.
Is it any cheaper to get the bras at US stores that carry EM or are they still too much?

    • I know it's a bit odd to throw this comment in here, but it's nice to see you back around lcl0706 !

I live in the US as well and while there are few places to buy Ewas bras here, I find it's impossible for me to get custom sizing through them and they mostly offer VERY large cup bras and not too many small bands. I know a couple rave about how good some of them are at ordering custom sizes for you and responding to emails I've never gotten a respond to any of my emails to any of the sellers of Ewa bras in the US.

    • Did you try Jaimie at Bra Obsessed (I know it's Canada but close enough!)

    • Yeah, she was the first one i tried. It's actually cheaper for me to shop out of Canada because it'll be 100$, but since my dollars are US it'll only cost me 80$. I think I might try again sometime soon though, everyone on here is too busty for me to buy their old Ewa bras! lol XD

    • Levana Bratique is US based and Judy is super nice. She has a good size range and it's not significantly more expensive than ordering from Ewa direct. I think it was like $7 more for me to get a set from her rather than Poland. She also has a lot in stock, so it potentially eliminates the wait.

    • Don't forget Broad Lingerie and Forever Yours in Canada also sell Ewa. Though I am not sure what the custom options would be for them. I have emailed with Sam and she has been great. I just lack the money to get anything from her or the other shops.

HIGHLIGHTING RIGHT NOW THAT MY PICTURES ARE OF WHEN I GREW OUT OF THE BRA. I CANT FIND PICTURES OF WHEN I FIRST HAD IT. SORRY.

At the height of my post pregnancy and breastfeeding days, I had this bra along with three other Ewas in rotation. I liked it well enough, but strapgate was always an issue, as it is for me with just about any S shape. I have dainty, sloped shoulders, and many people know that Ewa just doesn't attempt to fix the issue in the smaller banded sizes. The coverage, and lifted, rounded shape I got was nice though, and it was easy to ... breastfeed in while I was still doing it. I stopped wearing it for a combination of reasons. The straps became too much of a (literal) pain in my underarms and shoulders, I grew out of the band, and the underwires broke through and poked me in my ribs. And I can't sew for the life of me, so I just kind of put it in the "meh" pile in the back of my closet.

It's such a beautiful color though!
Add any &/or all photos you have-each and every one is helpful to someone, as we all have different aspects that we look for regarding bra details and fit. In my opinion, there's never too many photos! :-)

Yikes those straps. I don't know how she can fit straps like this on any of her models and say "that's a good fit right there."

    • 2

      Sovavosi Right?!

    • 2

But she wouldn't. She'd just put them in 2 cups too small to give that over the top mounds & call it all good! ;-)

    • 2

MamaPagan That's funny because they tried to put me into a 32 band that was seemed too big to me and a full cup size down from what I was already starting to "muffin top" out of on my larger side.

    • 2

Yeah, Ewa has a unique way of looking at fit, which typically includes sizing up in the band and down in the cup. Gosia is currently at a 65HH which just seems insane!
If the band isn't providing any support, the back pain ensues.....no one wants that!!

Pain is apparently sexy, just ask Victoria's Secret!

Sovavosi That seriously made me laugh out loud, thank you!

    • 4

Shoot, I live for pain guys. No pain, no sexy lingerie effects I guess?

And yeah.. she seems bigger to me.

We are all in the same general consensus. Gosia is a normal topic here, once every 6 months or so since I joined, haha.

    • 1

Poor Gosia. Such a hot topic 🤣 I wonder how she feels?

    • 3

Hopefully special, because we love her! (And all of the Ewa models!!)

AHHHHHH! Thank goodness I have such broad shoulders, and to think I used to hate them and think they made me look like a (US) football player!!! That's pretty insane. I've actually commented on their FB page that all of their straps are too wide, but that's just how they (and seemingly all polish brands) do.

    • 2

Hahaha, that's too funny. Broad shoulders are the bomb when it comes to Polish bras :p

My S Porto came today and my straps pretty much look like this. I wish I was a football player.

    • 1

Sovavosi Oh no :( I'm sorry! I have had luck with having someone move my straps in 2cm with the S shape though, if ever you want to go that route :)

    • 1

I think these would need to be moved in at least an inch. Maybe two. There is so much gaping at the top because if it and my short boobs, it's ridiculous. If I take the strap up and just hold the cup up, it's full coverage but fits fine.

    • Maybe you can move the straps in and add a bullet near the top, to counter balance that height?

    • Bullet?

    • Oh yikes. :/

    • Sovavosi Yep. 9mm should work. ;-) Just kidding. A bullet as in a triangle pleat to take up that upper slack. If that makes sense?

    • 1

Oh ok. I'll see what I can do.

    • Let me know if you need a visual. I can try and find one and email it, or add the link here. I know I'd seen it done somewhere.....
