    Didn't fit

So I've had this bra for about 2 years already - and even though it is marked as 'didn't fit' because of some minor issues, this BM La Gloria actually works well on me. I wear it quite often!

    Look:
Firstly, I .really. love this color. It's a foresty-green that leans towards dark teal - I think it's just Glorious (see what I did there? (; )
I like how the green color is matched with a green sewn-in ribbon running over the straps. The bra cups are constructed from floral stretch lace fabric, with a black stretchy mesh underlayer, creating some 'depth' and giving the lace a darker green ... hue than it actually is. Two years of wear < say, bi-weekly? I have a pretty large rotation > and bi-or tri-monthly-ish (?) handwashing sessions did cause some color leaking, so sadly it's currently a little less vibrant than when I first got it. As the lace fabric loses it's color more easily than the strap-ribbon and bra band material, there's some color discrepancy now. Also there's some minor snags/pulls on the lace, which makes sense as it's a delicate fabric.

    Fit:
To me this feels very much like a 'standard' size 32G/70G, if that makes sense? No extremes or outlier-measurements across the board (depth, height, wings, band, gore, straps etc,). The band is snug but not tight on my 78cm. ribcage, and it has held up well over 2 yrs of wear. The cups are reasonably projected and narrow, the shape it gives is up and forward, but also somewhat 'held close to the body', almost minimizing? To illustrate; I often reach for La Gloria when wearing a dress that is snug in the bust area, this bra always feels like it -holds me in- a little.

Construction-wise, I specifically love how relatively low the gore is!
Wasn't sure what to expect of the gore height on a BM, but this is exactly where I prefer my gores to hit my sternum.
Also, unlike some other Ewa bras, the strap placement still feels wide-ish but not too bad! I can wear it a full day without major discomfort, and even though the straps are somewhat 'rough'/ firm, it doesn't chafe to the point where I have to move the straps inwards (like I really could not avoid doing in my S style). May have helped that I sized down to 70G from my usual 70GG >> more on that below.

Due to the stretch, the fit is quite forgiving and on most days, this bra fits me well. When I'm feeling a little 'fuller' there's definitely some bulging; but the stretch lace prevents any real quad or cutting in.

All in all a bra with great construction and support, up to Ewa M.'s technical standards for sure, holds up reasonably well over time - with a gorgeous color and a flexible fit.

    Bra-ppendix haha -

    General Ewa M. sizing analysis:
Ewa advises to size down in the BM, when in doubt / between sizes, like in the SF. This seems correct-ish I think, depending on your shape and preferences?
In most of Ewa's styles I do need a 70GG (70GG - Ewa Michalak » Smn W Sieci (1326) 70GG - Ewa Michalak » Sm Ja Wiem... (755) 70GG - Ewa Michalak » Pl Kicia Szałowa and 70H - Ewa Michalak » S Turkusowe Kwiaty (703) . For the BM and SF style, it seems like I could do either - and technically seem to be in between a 70G and GG. As wide-set straps are the bane of my existence, I generally prefer sizing down rather than up? The stretchiness of this BM definitely helps with fit forgiveness / size fluctuations and I prefer this fit over the 70GG - Ewa Michalak » Sf Zenith (1410) that I bought at the same time.

Keep in mind though that if you're evenly full / somewhat FOT like me and prefer a bit more coverage and support, just keeping your normal Ewa M. size for the BM bra style may be worth considering. Especially when strap placement doesn't bother you as much.

  2. I'm currently measuring a 27.0" underbust, which I find to be quite surprising. The band on this bra stretches to 27.5" before there's wire distortion. I'm wearing this bra on the loosest hooks, but I feel like I could get away with the third hookset already due to slight sliding.

I think that the cups fit amazing. I feel like I've got a fantastic happy medium going on with it. My smaller side has a bit of gapping at the top of the lace, while my larger side is straining a bit, but isn't bulging. Pictures don't show the straining as much, but as I'm sitting here writing (and ... admiring my breasts), I can feel my larger side cutting into the lace a little bit. This affirms, to me at least, that I'm in between a KK/L cup. I think when I hit high tide, this bra is going to be too small. You'll also notice that on the side view on my larger side, not all of my tissue is encapsulated by the bra cup, but it's pretty close.

I'm pretty happy with the fit, albeit it's not perfect, but it's 10x better than my current 65J bras that are digging mercilessly basically everywhere.

      Hurray!! It looks good.

    • 1

Sovavosi Thanks! I think this is why Brownie fit so weird to me. It must have been 1.5ish cups too big on my smaller side and just right to .5ish cups too big on my larger side. I think high tide would be a fantastic time for a 60L BM 🙃

    • 1

      Woohoo, now you know :)

    • 1

This is great! Really glad it worked out for you

    • Sovavosi Absolutely 😁

    • 1

Frazzleberry Hey thanks! I was a little bewildered at the measurements of mine compared to, MamaPagan 's La Gloria, but I'm just ecstatic I have a wearable bra!

    • 2

Ewa is consistently inconsistent. I just re-ordered La Gloria in 60K, curious what band size I am going to get. 🤨

    • 1

      Sovavosi Touché 😬
Ooh. That might be interesting! I was a little worried about the measurement of my stretched band. I didn't realize how tiny my underbust was today haha.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that you get a true 60 band too :P

    • 1

This bra is so stunning! I can't wait for mine to arrive, I just adore it. It looks beautiful on you! Glad you got a (mostly) great fit.

    • 1

I'm excited for yours to arrive too Wilderness1! I never get tired of seeing it! It's such a lovely shade of green 😍
Thank you! I'm pretty excited about the fit myself ;)

    • 1

This is so beautiful and looks gorgeous on you!

    • Thank you Sonya 😁

    • 1

It looks like a better fit for sure! Glad you found a great fit that you can be happy with. 💙

    • Thanks MamaPagan :)

    • 3

This looks gorgeous on you, it really does! You must be so happy to have a great fit.

On a bra-nerdery level, your comment about containment is interesting and brings up an often-neglected issue about fitting full bust bra-wearers for optimal support. As far as I can tell from the fit on numerous users across diverse size ranges, the BM model is not necessarily DESIGNED to cover and contain 100% of the wearer's tissue (overall Polish bra brands are much less likely than UK, US or even French ones to ever offer a truly full-coverage style because I guess those are not popular with their local customers). So, depending on where the uncontained tissue is and how the bra behaves when it's worn, that may or may not indicate a size problem per se. On the other hand, in your size range it's not uncommon for people to prefer a fit where they do have true/complete containment, because this can help maximize support, keep everything feeling more secure and is often the best way to overcome the problem of cup edges too shallow to allow a full tack.

Of course, designing a bra that will provide both full coverage on most wearers AND that has more centered straps, is definitely an even more direct path to maximal support for the higher cup volumes... many brands specialized in the plus size/full cup market seem aware of this, so it would be really pretty cool if the ones who design for small band sizes could also accept that idea! The success of more "retro" pinup styles might eventually persuade them, who knows.

    • 3

wendybien but of course centered straps can also close the top center of the cups, leading to a bra that is either too short/closed- and that doesn’t work for a fot and/or centerfull shape.

I have been trying to figure out how I would create a bra that is round enough for my fot and centerfull shape, closed enough for my short roots, and has centered straps. It’s a conundrum.

    • cupandahalf this is true as well! But if you're considering designs that return to the really old-school levels of coverage, you can often bypass that issue by simply raising the "neckline" of the bra so high that the cup edge is no longer traversing an area of substantial boob tissue. For some people this could make the gore too tall of course. And if you make it nonwired, many cup constructions can result in an east-west shape that some people do not like. So you have to find a way through all these constraints of course. You should blog about your process if you are trying to figure out a homemade pattern!

Strictly in terms of support, though, the level of strap-spacing insanity that can be observed on the designs for the wearers with the smallest backs and largest cups is an obvious fail. So obvious that I think it reflects a simple choice not to work further on the grading for those sizes because they don't sell as many of them, and because they have a captive customer base.

    • 2

Yes, my problem is that my breasts touch in the center about 2.5 inches up from my root so I also can’t do a high gore. I sew all my rtw bras gores together at the top because otherwise they don’t tack and the bra completely destabilizes and slides down.

Also, I’m so high set that I’ve actually bent over and poked myself in the chin with a gore that was higher than 4 inches! So a high gore would make most of my clothes unwearable. I have been trying to figure out if I could do something with a Plunge high apex bra.

I agree, and I believe it’s just large cup in general. There aren’t too many of us in the J+ range and we are sort of stuck with the few brands we get.

  3. My shape is low set, narrow and short rooted, soft and slightly pendulous.

I received this bra through MagdaBras4you , and it took about 2 months from the time I ordered it until it arrived in Canada. Ewa Michalak's shipping prices make it impossible for me to order direct, so I was glad to get this one through Magda. To assess whether or not this bra would fit (before ordering it), I tried the 65FF - Ewa Michalak » Bm Koronkowa. I haven't yet looked at how they measure compared to each other, but based on the pictures and fit, I'd say the Koronkowa ... was a better fit - better fit in my IMF around the underwire, and it also had a rounder profile. I get a more natural lift with the La Gloria, and the upper cup isn't as rounded looking as other bras I've tried - like my unlined Comexims. I'm hoping that this bra will 'round out' a bit more with wear and a wash because I'm not super bowled over with the shape I get right now; not that it's terrible or anything, just not super rounded, which I prefer (but my natural shape isn't super round either, so you know...). The lace is very accomodating to fluctuations and different breast sizes, so that's a nice feature. The underwires have to be pulled right up under my breast because if I don't hike it up, I get some space next to my IMF and a little tiny wrinkle. The band is nice and snug and has a bit of stretch but is not stretchy. I stretched it until the wires started to distort.

I think the La Gloria is absolutely stunning, with it's shimmering green-blue colour. I took a picture with some natural daylight to hopefully capture the colour a bit better. There are little black bows on the gore and straps, and the straps themselves are the same green and black as the bra (they remind me of garter belts for some reason). The straps don't have a ton of stretch to them. I'd say the straps are supportive, but JUST long enough for my tall frame. If I let them out to the fullest to where they are most comfortably loose, I get a bit of a saggier look. If I tighten them a bit, I get a rounder look... so it's a trade off for me. The inside of the bra has a black thin mesh lining that is not attached to the upper section of the cups, which is typical of the full lace BMs.

Overall excellent quality, beautiful lace, average to above average shape on me.

Such a beautiful bra! I think that it looks great on you, but I completely understand what you mean about the shape. I have the same struggles with my BM Cabernet.

  4. My shape is low set, short and narrow rooted, and soft.

This is my second La Gloria. I exchanged my 65FF - Ewa Michalak » Bm La Gloria (1173) with this 65F because I lost a few pounds and my 65FF was too large. This one fits perfectly, and so alas... I have La Gloria back again. After deciding to sell my 65FF La GLoria, I actually purchased 65F - Ewa Michalak » Bm Crazy Bra (1174) , so I wasn't desperate for this one, but I love green bras and was happy with my crazy bra, so I couldn't resist.

The shape is actually ... fairly rounded in this one - more so on my larger side. I'm happy with the coverage and shape. It looks good under a shirt, and I can barely see the lace showing through. I'd wear it with tightish fitting shirts without too much worry. The straps adjust long enough for my short frame, and are almost all the way extended in these pictures. The cups have an inner lining that runs all the way to the top of the cup (some end before the top seam). The band is true to size for a 65, but it's too long on me, so I have it on the third set of hooks in these pictures. Hopefully it doesn't stretch out too soon, as there are only 4 sets of hooks, so I can't go much tighter. I find it very comfortable, and nothing is chaffing or scratching. The wings are a touch lower than I prefer on bras, but still decent. I don't feel like I'm falling out or anything, I'm just so low set that I prefer ridiculously tall wings.

Overall excellent quality, comfort and appearance. It'll be well loved.

    • Thanks martka00 , I'm glad we were able to exchange. Does your 65FF fit you?

Haven’t worn it yet but I’ve briefly tried it and fits well (band little tight as I still need to loose the extra few kgs)
      Thanks again 💓

    • That's a pretty green color combo! The greens have been calling me lately

    Didn't fit

My band measurements right now: 27" tight, 27.8" comfortable, 29.2" full exhale.

I absolutely love the color of this bra. It's stunning in person.

Upon measuring, I thought the band ran and fit quite tight for this model. I also think the cups look quite pointy, but maybe that's just the silhouette I'm rocking right now? I also think that it would be ideal to try a 60KK/65K in this bra, as I have quite a bit of quadding on my left (larger) side given the right angle. The strap placement is always an issue for me.

I definitely agree you need to size up in cup. You shouldn't be squeezing your larger side into a smaller cup when it's quadding so much. I can relate to why you're trying--it's hard getting used to not as much support on the smaller side, but eventually you don't even notice it.

As for the shape, I agree it looks a bit pointy. It could be the bra, or it could be your own shape (I can't confirm it being the bra because my La Gloria is not pointy, but it's also 5-6 cups smaller than this, so who knows.) How does it look under a shirt? What happens if you tighten the straps a little bit?

Again, not really relevant cause I'm so much smaller than you JJ-K cup ladies, but in 70G I find I lack upper fullness to fill out the cup completely and it gives me a slightly pointed shape rather than a nice round one I get in a cup size smaller. That being said, it still looks really nice under a shirt and it's not hardcore pointy Madonna boob (which I've been known to get in Panaches and such).

    • 1

To explain, I think it looks way pointier in photos with just the bra on because you can actually see the whole cup and your brain cannot unsee that. With a shirt on it might be a bit better!

    • 1

brasaremean I agree. *Sigh* I should just return it that way I don't have to squeeze my way into it every. Single. Time.

I added a picture under a shirt. It looks about as bad. I've never really had an issue with this before, so maybe it correlates a little to what happens to you? I can't really say for certain either. Maybe it's what happens when I wear too small of a BM.. maybe my tissue squishes into it so much. Eh *shrug*

    • 2

brasaremean I actually compared it to my Sofia in terms of measurements and the gore is half an inch lower.. and the unstretched cup depth was also half an inch less. Heck, the band measured more like a 60 as well. Maybe the bra was just made too small.. maybe it was more like a 60JJ?

    • 1

Maybe it's the case or rogue seamstress again! I do agree it does look still pointy but not as pointy as in the pictures without a shirt. Still if you're not okay with that, you shouldn't have to put up with it. Is the bra returnable?

I'm surprised at such discrepancy in measurements, it sounds more like it's some in-between size than either 60 or 65 with a JJ cup.

    • 2

brasaremean Maybe you're right! Eek! And I just don't like it. Luckily, it is returnable, so I'm going to return it and the shop owner is going to order it in a 60KK for me instead :) although, trying this 65JJ is confirming my suspicions though.. the three 65J BM's I ordered will probably not fit either. :(

Indeed.. the measurements sure seemed odd to me!

    • 1

Hopefully the 60KK works better for you!

    • 2

brasaremean hopefully! It'll be a long while before I'm able to get my hands on it though. Likely not until February we're guessing.

    • Oh dear. I was going to suggest to go to a store and try it on yourself (foolishly thinking the holidays would be the holdup) but they more than likely just have to order that for you direct from Ewa, don't they? They dont have 60KKs available just like that. Sorry :(

    • Whoops, double comment. Sorry

    • 1

Yeahhhh, 60KK isn't a common size, so she does have to order from Ewa directly :)
And no worries to the double comment. The more the merrier 🤣🤷

    • It's okay DerangedDragons19 I will gladly welcome you into my 60KK club. :-D This also gets me convinced you should be doing the 60Q Comexim, as wonky as that cup tends to be.
I agree, our rouge seamstress strikes again!! I am getting more nervous about my pending orders with each passing day (and added reviews..... :-/)

    • 1

MamaPagan woohoo! Thanks! My darn boobs I tell ya what.

    • 3

If you are full on top you could get a pointy look from a cup not being big enough or tall enough, causing it to smoosh the top of your boob. That’s my diagnosis for this bra.

    • La Gloria does have a more rigid/sturdier lace than any of my other BMs so that's a god possibility!

    • 1

The BM gives a more natural look for the most part, and less rounded than the SM or even SF styles. If you look at all the entered photos for La Gloria, there's more pointy natural than rounded ones in the mix. It's also about capuring the right angle, haha, as in my photos some look more rounded while others more natural. That being said, you could be spot on with your diagnosis cupandahalf.

And yes brasaremean, The tulle tension is greater with this one, even compared to it's sister model, Crazy. Crazy had the looser more open top like the full lace Bibis, at least on the one I tried. I was surprised that the two didn't fit/wasn't constructed the same. It's these differences within construction of the same style that frustrates me most. How can we know if the style will work-or a particular size with in it-if they don't keep the construction the same and universal for that style for each and every model? You've got really rigid (Sofia, Kawa) Semi Rigid (La Gloria, Rubin) midway (Antonina, Wersal) and Soft/more open (Bibi Black, Bibi Flamenco) it's impossible to get a perfect fit in them all with these variants. Then you add the rouge seamstress, and you get these odd ball fits that don't match the normal pattern, like Klejnot... These bras are too pricey to have so many inconsistencies.

    • 1

Don’t forget about BM Grace with her 6.5” wires. Yikes!

    • Yes, that one is crazy too!

    • 3

I agree the bras are too expensive not to have a standard of sorts.

That being said our loss is someone else's gain -- BMs that don't fit me for a reason might fit someone else *because of that reason*.
Which I think is a fine tradeoff as everyone can find something for themself.
I just wish someone would tell us... this is like this, top lace is very rigid/soft, the wires on this one are a bit wider etc.
They are pretending theyre all the same! Look at what DerangedDragons19 got. A size that is neither here nor there, a shape she didn't get with Sofia. These things shouldn't be a thing!

    • Exactly brasaremean. Exactly.

    • 2

I just wanna make an informed purchase you know?
This way someone has to get one that doesn't fit in order for the rest of us to know.

    • 1

Yes, like the listings that say "band runs quite tight", why not state the lace variations the same way? "Top of cup is more open than standard BM" or "lace is firmer than usual" etc. So we can adjust size by detail or avoud what we know isn't compatible with our shape and firmness.
Same with the Full lace vs half lace vs SF. Why not have it stated how the sizing varies, and hold to that, instead of telling one person one thing and another something diiferent, or just specifying that the differences vary by band/cup combo? Give us something solid to guide us, please!!
We won't even bring up our rouge seamstress again, or how she is really mucking it up for us....

    • 2

About half lace BMs, I will say that one thing I've noticed is that there are most fit issues with those out of all BMs.
Why won't they just come out and say that denser, heavier tissue will not benefit from that bra? Don't get me wrong, my boobs are not heavy at all, they are very deflated and malleable, so I don't have these issues to that degree (unless I loosen the straps for comfort in which case cups collapse on me), but for heavier ones there is just not enough support in that single layer of fabric to carry the weight of the boobs. Like you say, bra vs boob, the boob always wins!

    • 2

I'm just saying, it would most likely result in a lot more customer satisfaction if they just informed us about 'what this bra can and can't do'.

    • 2

brasaremean On the flip side they don't say that SF isn't really good for firm boobs. All her write-ups on the site say "good for soft boobs". Mine won't take any shape so the stiffer the bra, the more the bra fails. Not all SFs are as stiff as Blueberry though. 😒

    • brasaremean On the flip side they don't say that SF isn't really good for firm boobs. All her write-ups on the site say "good for soft boobs". Mine won't take any shape so the stiffer the bra, the more the bra fails. Not all SFs are as stiff as Blueberry though. 😒

    • 3

See even that. "the lining of this bra is a little softer/stiffer than our SF standard'.
Just little things like that that would make it so much easier for us. Like I don't care, I bought all the BMs I wanted, some fit, some don't, some fit weird, some fit really good, but there's people who save up for months to buy one single bra and imagine buying one and it's just awful, simply cause you weren't informed.
And if I didn't try all these BMs maybe I'd be telling a different story, but each and every one has something that's unlike any other. That should be noted in the description methinks.

    • 1

I think you have all noted very sound and important fit quirks that really should be noted to the consumer.

For us to get as much satisfaction, and confidence in the product we're buying (from both a business and consumer point of view) we need to know what works best with it and what doesn't.

It's, at the very least, a good thing we have bratabase where we can determine/view how a particular bra may fit. But even then, that's all dependent on the information that is already there.

    • 2

Sovavosi Blueberry is just an off fit IMO. I think my fav SF fit wise is Princessa, even though it is not a color I am particularly fond of. Comfortable though and shaped nicely-& I love that smooth top yet lace bottom. It's a nice backwards from normal bra. I'd love it more if it was a better color-blue, purple, green, brown, or even black would be nice.

    • 1

It had to be my first Sf gosh darnit lol

    • Just your luck, right? ;-)

    Didn't fit

The lace on this bra is pure Christmas magic!

It's the most beautiful shade of emerald green that shimmers against the dark green knit wear and black mesh.

The black satin bows are even nice (I'm not a bow girl. I prefer buttons)

The band is TTS and apart from simply being too small for me, it's a gorgeous bra.

It's ok that it's too small - I'm glad that it is, actually, since the bras in my order coming from Ewa are all 65FF https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" />

This bra is not owned any more

It is such a gorgeous bra! It looks great on you, even with being a bit small. And you now have confirmation of the size you need, so it's a win win situation! :-D

    • It really is gorgeous. I ordered 70E for my mom too...fingers crossed it'll fit. I'll enter measurements later.

    • 1

I think this bra is SO beautiful. I love green bras, and the shade of this one is stunning to me. Sorry it didn't fit you. If you're thinking of selling, PM me... I'd be interested in trying it.

    • 2

Can you please measure this before you return it? Thanks!!

    • 3

Wilderness1 of course!! I also have it in 70E. And CHP Oksana is 70DD and 75D. I'll measure them all ;)

    • 2

oh awesome AprilGoulding ! Thanks. It's so nice to have the extra data!

    • 2

AprilGoulding Pretty! I just saw that a bunch of Ewas in 65ff were just posted on Reddit's braswap in case you want to fill out your collection now that you are feeling more confident in your size :)

    • 2

      veggiechic thanks!!
I think the reddit you're referring to is by user nouveax_gigi?

If so that's our very own rachaelll and they're all posted here, as well.

I'm just waiting to get my EM direct to check my size in padded styles ;)

    • This is stunning! I'm glad you are figuring out your Ewa sizing. :)

  7. BM La Gloria is the last of my orders directly from EM and I finally got it today.

The green colour is exactly the same as the one in the photos one the website. It is an absolutely beautiful forest green with brown details. In the photos, the browns look more like black, but they are definitely brown!

Now, I don't know why in my photos it looks like the bra is a little small on me, because I feel like when it's on me it's the largest of my 70FFs I have. I think I might have taken these photos without properly scooping and swooping so it looks like ... it's small under the armpits and is sitting on my breast tissue but it's really not. I've been wearing it all day and it fits great, supportive, safe, nothing is spilling out, poking or bothering me in any way whatsoever. Also in the photos the band is sitting too low on my back I think cause I didn't adjust it. I have a very sensitive mole on my back that I have to be veeeery careful with so when I first put on a bra I have to have the band a little lower so as not to accidentally catch it. In some cases I tend to just leave the band lower if it's bothering the mole, so maybe that's what happened here as well. Point is, probably I will add new photos because these seem hasty and I barely even remember taking them cause I had a busy day!

Anyyyyhow. Loose band again, definitely not as tight as my 70FF - Ewa Michalak » Bm Fluo. It's double layered with stretchy mesh + stretchy green fabric. I mean it's snug and it fits great but will it stretch? That remains to be seen. This just confirms my hunch that the 70 bands on EM bras are true 70s now. BM Fluo fits more like a loose 65, this is definitely a 70. I don't know what this means for 60s and 65s but I thought it was just worth noting.

The cups have to be the deepest so far on 70FFs. Three part cups, they are lined with stronger brown mesh (more rigid) than my other BMs. The lace is stretchy at the top and so is the mesh to adjust for asymmetry. Typical BM cups that fit great.
Now I've been wondering if I should just go for 70G because my larger side does feel a liiiittle bit squished and has some quad potential. But on my smaller side the bras all feel a little less supportive because I think it's like a few cups smaller. So I think 70FF is a good compromise to get a similar fit on both sides. But the doubt is killing me. I don't think my smaller side could even fill out the 70G :/. (For the record, my smaller side is the one with the tattoo)

The gore tacks and the bow on the gore is huge and I absolutely love it.
Ewa altered the straps for me to be a little bit longer. They added 10cm I believe. Just wonderful https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> The bow... also wonderful. The green detail... I love it.

Overall, I am very happy with my La Gloria. What a beautiful bra!

edit: also, it gives me some major cleavage!
edit: added some proper scoop and swoop photos, but now the straps seem overtightened (although they don't feel so, lol).

Update after wearing it a while:
I find La Gloria to have the best side support of all my BMs. The lace on top is very forgiving to size fluctuations.

They must use more than one option on this one as all the accents on mine are definitely black not brown. How strange! Sovavosi Is yours black or brown?

I ordered mine when it was first released, before it went out of stock and came back so maybe this is why.
I like the brown accents, makes it very earthy!! :-)

Oh that is very very odd! Maybe they ran out of black? (although that seems unlikely, lol!)

    • 1

Anything is possible with Ewa, haha!

    • 1

Oh I see in both your photos it is black! Ha! So weird.

    • 2

Oooooh I like this one. It's pretty!

    • 1

brasaremean Yeah, and I actually pulled mine out of the drawer to double check as photos can be off.

I can't wait to see more added and find out if it's a permanent change or if you got a special one. :-)

    • 1

At first I thought mine was black too actually, but it was kinda dark in my room. Only when I saw my photos I realised they details are actually brown lol!

      Frazzleberry it is absolutely gorgeous!

    • 2

      Mine are black too.

    • 3

I think your band looks like it is at an appropriate level. It's like an not talked about arguments between bra fitters and wearers alike, if the band should be very low in the back or straight around. Some say that the top of the band in the back should be at the same level as the bottom of the cups in the front, so even lower than what you have here! While others says a straight line around, the bottom of the band being equal level all the way around the torso.

I try to go by this rule if I start saying things like "I feel a tiny/little bit squished" or "the cup can be a tiny/little bit smaller" than I know that I am nitpicking too much and the bra fits great and I'm just trying to double guess and confuse myself. But if I'm saying "omg this is sooo tight you can see my boob overflowing the cups through shirts!" or "ouch! that wire is causing me alot of discomfort/the elastics are digging in really bad" or "there is alot of room in the entire cup." Then that's when I know it's a legitimate bra not-fitting-right-problem and not just me nit picking my asymmetry or wanting perfection on each breast even though they are different shapes and even sitting at different levels on my torso. Maybe this'll help you figure out when your being too hard on yourself and your body or if it's truly a fit problem that can be fixed (without the bra being made just for your body! :-P)

It looks great and I'm so happy you've found bras that you love the fit of.

    • 1

This bra is stunning on you!

    • 2

      Thanks veggiechic

LeProfessor I know, the doubt is unbearable. Constantly second guessing. I feel perfectly fine in it though.
I think it's cause I spent a shitload of money on these bras (like more than I should have, probably), I keep expecting to have wasted that money.

    • 1

I feel your pain brasaremean. I think all of us do, but they are addicting!

    • 1

This is beautiful! Personally I've never regretted sizing up to fit the big boob. If I try to compromise (a bit too small for bigger side, a bit too big for smaller size) neither cup/wire sits securely and I just end up feeling cranky with the whole thing. If I fit my larger boob really perfectly the bra stays in place better and I can position the smaller one more easily as well.

    • 1

This bra is so beautiful. If I could still order through EM, I would order this bra in a heartbeat (but alas, her DHL shipping costs make that impossible for me in Cnd). From the pictures, it looks like the fit is really good. Would you get the support you need from a larger cup or do you think it compromise cup support?

    • 1

wendybien it is absolutely beautiful, I'd even say out of the bunch I ordered it's the prettiest!

Wilderness1 I think I'd have to reeeeeally tighten the strap to get any support on the smaller side as even right now I feel it's not being supported enough.

    • 1

Wilderness1 Look into Broad Lingerie! She's based in Toronto, and carries Ewa bras in her store, and can order them for you! Doing so may save you the crazy shipping costs from ordering direct.
Also, this bra is so so pretty! Is it the same lace she used in the BM Crazy? I have that one and it's one of my favorites!

    • mandapandarawks Yes, same lace as Crazy :-)

    • Wilderness1 here is the reply that I got from Broad Longerie. I had asked them if they'd received any fitting feedback on the BM Cabernet so far, and also if they knew what was coming in over the next few months, questioning whether Baklazan, Porto, or Rubin were among them.

"So sorry for the delay! So far we're finding the BM Cabernet to run a little big in the band compared to most Ewa Michalak bras, but the cups are accurate. So if you're between band sizes you may want to go to the smaller size.

As for winter orders, we have the BM La Gloria on order due to arrive in late December. We likely won't be ordering the Porto or Baklazan as they are too similar to the BM Cabernet, but we may order the Rubin (or something else if Ewa releases something new) later for February-ish!"

So it's possible that you can get the La Gloria from them if you like. They can put you on a call/email list for when it comes, like they did for me with Cabernet. I just can't afford it now. I spent my saved up bra money on a couple of used Ewas to test the styles and sizing, so I have started to save again but I'm only halfway to total, which I think was something like $125 after tax and shipping outside of Ontario.

      Hope this helps!

    • Looks great on you. I wouldn't worry about band stretching as the ones with the fabic are stretching out less than the mesh ones (at least in my case). Also as far as the band does not ride up its fine.
      Cannot wait for mine!

    • Calluna I want the Cabernet so bad but literally no one in EU will ship it to me, and from elsewhere the shipping is insane.

martka00 That's been my experience too but it's a short experience so I'm still wary. Fingers crossed! Bibi Black and Bibi Bezova Perla both stretched out beyond being able to wear them.
Are you getting La Gloria too? Very curious about the black vs brown details!

    • brasaremean honestly I didn’t find my bras to stretch out but I do wear looser bands as I can’t squeeze myself due to reflux. I only recently moved on again to band 65 as I’ve been exercising and noticed some underbust reduction. I still have many bras in 70 and find them not to ride up (my underbust is 73cm snug, 69cm right and 75loose). I have hardly any 70 band bra that does ride up (panache are the only ones and one Comexim, so I tend to avoid wearing them now).

I hope my Gloria have black accents as I can’t imagine it with brown ones ;(

    • 1

The brown is barely distinguishable from black except in photos, honestly. I kinda like it, it's unusual!

    • Well we will see! My order is still processing :(

    • Yes this one took forever!

    • I wish she release now the harness thing. Would be perfect as a gift for Christmas 😂🙈

    • 1

brasaremean I love the brown accents! It gives the bra an earthy nature feel and I really like that. :-)

    • 1

Yes earthy would be the word I'd use. Reminds me of an actual forest!

    • Thanks mandapandarawks an Calluna . I'll check them out and see what prices are like, etc.

    • Wilderness1 the price of the Cabernet shipped to BC was $125 and change. You might also check out Forever Yours Lingerie in Langley, BC. They offer a first time order discount of 15%, however I don't know if they are going to be getting either La Gloria or Cabernet. They do have some sizes of Absynt left and some basics. I have not tried to email them about the Ewas that they are getting. I keep hoping that I will get to the mainland and try stuff on in person and ask. But it's been difficult to get over lately.

    • Calluna that's still pretty pricey! Especially compared to how much I used to pay for an EM direct. Most of her cuts don't work very well for me for some reason, so I'm a little gunshy on spending a huge amount of money on this one, but I do love it. I've never tried her BM cut. I'd rather try one used first for fitting purposes, and order new if I can be sure it would fit... We'll see I guess...Thanks again though :)

    • Honestly, I agree and I am too, but knowing that I can return it is huge for me, especially as I have never tried a BM before. I keep searching for a BM on the listings in my size range and price range. The only ones that I have found are super old listings. I think that even if you order from Levana Bratique, it's about the same after currency conversion. The other option is to order from Ewa and have it sent to someone in the states who will send it to you.

I got this on Thursday as well, but I was tired and didn’t add it. I think my is also a bit brownish brasaremean! It’s a stunning bra, and I definitely like the Bm cut for when I need to appear smaller. It is really comfy, and feels like it’s not there. The one downside is that it doesn’t feel as secure, but I was expecting that. All in all - extremely satisfied with it.

    • Ah! Weird, right? That some got black and some of us got brown! So odd.

    • I would love one with brown instead of black. I love Earthy tones!! I am so jealous of you two.
Mine had the same coverage as normal which is much lower than yours for sure. I thought most of them that I've seen did?

I would actually suggest trying a cup size down, as this one looks great on you but does look a bit too big to me. Based on what you stated in the review and how it looks, I am confident that you would be happier with the fit in a 60JJ, as it would provide less coverage and a much more secure feeling for sure. But if you are happy with the fit and feel at this size, by all means, it's great and doable. :-D

Can't wait to see the measurements added!! (Please please please & the other new ones too!! :-) )

    • 1

I definitely agree with cup size down now that I see pics.
Maybe you can ask about the brown one, MamaPagan ?

    • I did ask brasaremean. Kaska said it wasn't an option. :-( You two just got the right seamstress who snuck it in! I shall live vicariously in envy through you two. I can't get all the good ones though, right? It's only fair that some slip by!

    • 1

      That is so weird!

    • 3

I ordered la Gloria from Forever Yours and I'm the opposite of you, MamaPagan - I'm praying its NOT with brown lol

I ordered it in 65F after reading to cup size down.

I also ordered 70E for my Mom in this style as well as 2 sizes in Oksana.

This is an "adventure" I'll be sure to log during Christmas week when she arrives.

That woman measures 29" under bust but INSISTS she needs a 34 band. She says she gets bulges when she tries a 32. I'm convinced she's wearing bras with super narrow bands and too-low wings. We shall see...

I ordered her 32's in the EMs and wont let her see the tags lol

Whether we keep them or not, I'll photo and measure them all for the database.

    • 1

If you ordered from Forever Yours I don't think they will be brown.

I wanted to order the matching Panties but now I'm scared they will be black lol

    • 2

brasaremean You'll just have to send Kaska an email with a photo of your bra and say, "my panties must match my bra please. Somewhere in your shop there's a seamstress who used brown trim on my La Gloria bra. Ask her to sew my knickers!" Lol

    • 1

That's not a bad idea AprilGoulding!
@brasaremean I wouldn't word it exactly like that, but maybe ask what seamstress did your bra and specifically request she make the panties maybe? Wouldn't want to get her in trouble for deviating from the standard.

When I asked Kaska, it was one of those "would it be possible to get La Gloria with brown instead of black base and trim, for a woodsy/earth tone bra?" She said no, it's not available. (No brown base may be the key to my no though, as she did state Kawa for example had a black base not brown.) I also had asked about the reverse, with Kawa having a green base like Zielony, and Fioletowy with a green base, & Zielony with purple instead of black lace. No to all those as well. (No green base firm enough is available for unlined bras, green with purple overlay would look dull.....wait....what? I love those colors together!!!) I think I often test the Ewa customization boundries! :-D

I eagerly await your holiday adventure AprilGoulding : -) I hope everything fits perfectly all around!

    • 2

That's pretty funny there's a seamstress out there sneaking in brown base into a black base bra. Lol

    • 2

MamaPagan brasaremean - oh my, yes. I do see how my wording might get someone in trouble :/

The Newfie in me is loud and proud in it - we use colloquial speech that's often interpreted as abrupt or rude, when really not meant to be ;)

      @mamapagen I love green with purple too. It's kinda mermaid-ish :)

@mamapagen Could you tell me, please, how the Wersal sizes compared to La Gloria? I am pretty certain you have them both...

I'm always looking out for the little guy and even if it wouldn't be an issue, I just figure if I was told no but it's been done, someone might get dinged for doing it which we don't want, especially when we like the changes being done!! :-)

Mermaid colors, yes!! Add the right shade of blue into the mix and we'd be set! (Like Wersal-that shade would blend beautifully with the purple and green!!)

I think Wersal fits pretty comparable to La Gloria, except it only has 3 hooksets instead of the standard 4 on most Ewa bras. Cup wise, thry are the same though.

    • MamaPagan brasaremean I know that I could go down a cup size, but considering that I’m at my lowest point right now (there’s about a cup size difference between lowest and biggest), and still growing, I don’t want a bra that will only last me a month. (Funny thing - I could barely get my hand in the cup to scoop and swoop, so I took the photos half scoop. I realized it after taking the bra off, and seeing the wire markings out of my IMF)

    • You know your body better than we do, so indeed, follow your instincts. :-)

    • MamaPagan Thanks for the suggestion tho!

    • You're welcome : -)

    • For some reason I cannot see the pictures with this review. Does anyone know why that is happening?

She didn't link the photos to her review. You have to go to the size page, and then the photos are there.

MamaPagan I’ll measure all my bras ASAP, but I finally uploaded the pictures for my Kleks. (I was much more scooped in, so that’s nice)

    • Thanks _booknerd_ I look forward to the measurements :-)
Yep, that one looks like a better fit. With the stretch lace on top, the BM is quite expandable though, so if you do find the extra coverage and wide set straps to be bothersome, you could consider a size down. Even at high time it should fit. My breasts vary by more than a cup and the 60KKs still work well at both high and low tide for me, with a few exceptions that run smaller.

  9. The cup construction of La Gloria is the typical BM style, with 2 lower vertical sections (1 seam) and 1 upper horizontal section, with a wedge area that connects the straps to the cups securely. The upper horizontal section is always made of a stretch lace, and this particular model has the upper lace section lined as well, which can vary by model. This lining doesn’t provide bulk, just modesty so you can’t see the nipples through the bra but does not stop them from showing through a shirt on a cold day. The BM style bra is not padded and provides full and separated coverage.

The ... band measures 22.875” and stretches to 29”. It has the standard 3 hooks with 4 rows of eye loops.

    Cup Depth as measured by:
1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance.
    This measurement is: 12.5”

2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance.
    This measurement is: 15.75”

I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.

The cup width is 6”, gore 0.5” wide and 4.15” tall, and wing of 4.75”.

While I didn’t try La Gloria in a 60K, I do have BM Crazy in that size which is the same lace and seemingly same liner, just with hot pink accents instead of black. To compare, Crazy had a 21.75”-29.75” band, 12.25”-15” cup depth, height of 9.25”, gore 0.6” and 4.15” width and height, and a 5” wing. This shows that my La Gloria has a firmer band and a lower wing, which is surprising, but the cup difference is logical in increase.

As for fit, the cups are perfectly hugging and the gore is just under 1 finger off the sternum which is standard for me. This one fits a lot better than its counterpart, BM Crazy, which is surprising as I anticipated it to fit the same since the lace and lining are the same. The mesh lining behind the stretch lace seems firmer than with Crazy, but not as firm as with Sofia.

    60K

    Fits

I bought this as a replacement for my 60JJ which I have outgrown. This bra has a 29" max stretched band, but I can wear it on the 3rd set of hooks without too much trouble. I tend to wear my bands as loose as possible, even to the point of being wiggly because I am afraid of stretching out the eyes. The cups are too tall for me, but they fit well enough when I put a shirt on over it. Comparing the cup heights in a spreadsheet, I think I've come up with this pattern for all the 60Ks that I currently have.

9.375" height fits best, ... no severe apex wrinkling.
9.5" height is too tall, but not very noticeable.
9.75" to 9.875" tall is around 1 cup too big, but under a tight shirt the extra fabric doesn't bunch up and it's fine.
10" is 2+ cups too large and unwearable.

My cup height tolerance also seems to be based on wire width. The wider the wires, the less tall of a cup I can tolerate. 6" is best, but Ewa doesn't use 6" wires in her 60K bras. I've gotten 6.125" and 6.25" wires, and the narrower wires were better.

I find all of this fascinating as the BM cuts are all supposed to be the same. I can understand the band lengths being off accounting for stretchiness of the material, but there is no excuse for the cups themselves to cut at different heights.

Consistently inconsistent. :-/ At least you know what works and doesn't. Too bad they can't provide it consistently though.
