This is my second La Gloria, with my having it in 60KK as well. While the 60KK fit fine initially, my breasts went through a growth spurt that made all my bras suddenly too small and prompted me to order up a cup. While that growth spurt turned out to just be a temporary 4 week swelling spree, I’d already ordered this and several others in the larger size.
All measurements are taken prior to trying the bra on to insure no figure is obscured by the body. I also take all flat measurements before taking the stretched cup then band measurements for the same ...reason.
The band measures 22” and stretches to a max of 28”. It has 3 hooks and 4 rows of eye loops.
Cup Depth as measured by: 1 Hovering the cup between the knees, then placing the tape measure into the cups without any resistance. This measurement is: 12.75” 2 Placing the cup over the knee and stretching it similar to what a breast would, to the maximum resistance. This measurement is: 15.5”
I feel these two figures give you a general idea of the minimum and maximum depth that the cup can accommodate, just like the flat and stretched band measurements do with bands. Since Bratabase only has one cup field, I enter the larger of the two, as it’s this larger number that determines if a cup is going to fit me or not since I am on the max end of the cup scale, but do realize that some may need the lower number to determine fit for their needs, so I will always include both figures in the reviews for full disclosure.
Additional measurements- Cup width is 6”, height is 10”, gore is 4.5” tall and 0.55” wide, with a 4.55” tall wing. To compare, La Gloria in 60KK is 15.75” deep and 10” tall, so this is another that measures smaller than the 60KK equivalent in depth, but fits larger due to some unknown cup construction element. I can’t complain as long as it doesn’t cause any pain like the 60KK does.
As for fit, the gore sits 1.5 fingers off my sternum, but the cups feel good. The straps are too wide set, so they do offer some resistance against my arms, especially near where the cups connect to the straps. As with Antonina, this one gives a more pointed “natural” look, more so than I am used to and there isn’t much tension on the upper lace so I think it would be classified as technically too big, but as long as it’s comfortable I’m considering it as fit, especially since the 60KK is too small in the cup and painful. ☺ Read more 348 more words
Wow I’m obsessed with how gorgeous this set is. I actually gasped when I saw it. The color combo with the shiny lace is just a dream come true for me. I’d never tried the BM cut but I couldn’t resist that emerald green color. I was so torn over sizing as it is recommended to size down in the cup. At first I ordered the 65F, but then changed it to 65FF. I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to fill out the cups, but I do and it gives some unexpected cleavage. I really love the depth at the wire. I had read that the BM ...gives a more “natural” and I’d agree with that. My biggest concern is that the straps are only halfway adjustable! This is an issue for me because I already need to tighten the straps as much as I can to get enough lift for my pendulous shape. Once the straps begin to stretch, I won’t be able to tighten them much further at all. That is my reasoning for the comfort being good rather than excellent. Overall La Gloria is a gorgeous set and I can see it selling out quickly. Read more 92 more words
Not sure how I feel about this bra, it sort of feels a bit abrasive by my armpits and the straps. One side still has obvious wrinkles in the bottom, it seems again the sides are too high so it gets pushed down and makes a space. I a, not sure about the fit in general, at least it does tack https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I think I forgot to adjust the straps very much in the pictures though. Very unsure about this bra
I picked this BM up during one of the recent sales. I've been buying 70E as I find wearing my bra on the second or third set of hooks right away is a lot more comfortable for me than wearing an extender. Unfortunately, at the time there was only a 65F available so I just went for it. I'm glad that I did as the band on this is actually true to size and only stretches to 29", which is my ideal underbust measurement for a bra. So no more regrets on that account.
The cut is otherwise more of the same. Narrow wires, deep cups, lots of room ...at the wire. Very forgiving, and accommodating, of tall shallow roots and a functionally FoB shape. The straps are a good length for me. Often straps that are only half adjustable can be too long and not adjust short enough for me but these are okay. The sliders can be forced over the ribbon on the front portion, so they can be considered fully adjustable I suppose.
The color of this bra is beautiful. I love the rich teal of the lace. I'm less excited about the pine green jersey. It doesn't look bad together, but given a choice I would much rather have seen this bra be full lace because it's gorgeous. I've seen a few reviews of this bra state that the black additions are brown on their particular item, mine are in fact black. It's a nice contrast and makes it visually interesting, but again, I'd have personally preferred just more teal lace. Read more 154 more words
