My shape is low set, short and narrow rooted, and soft.

I was surprised by this bra, because I was expecting to get a padded bra. It's a 2HC (half cup with one vertical line), and it is a soft cup. I normally take Comexim soft cups in one size smaller than their padded cups, so this bra fits but doesn't provide the level of lift or support that I like from a soft cup. The straps are wide and supportive. The band is slightly stretchy (I could have stretched it more but the cups were distorting). The band has 4 x 3 sets of hooks, which is awesome. ... The cups themselves are quite stretchy inside. I could probably have quite a bit more volume and they would still fit (maybe that's why I get those lines along the inside?), but there is a thin black lining along the cups upper edge that may cut in if I had a lot more volume too. The bra itself is pretty, and the patterns are black flowers that are velvety to the touch. The pattern comes up higher onto the cups upper outter edge, and ends wtih a little bow on the strap. Pretty, but I don't have enough upper fullness to make it stand out. I requested straps moved in 1 cm and overalapping gore. It looks like these alterations were done.

Overall it's beautiful, excellent quality, and comfortable... but I really wanted a padded bra....

It looks pretty. Sorry it's not what you were expecting.

    • 1

Thank you.. It is a pretty bra. Once I get over my surprise and confirm with Comexim if it really IS a soft cup on their website, then I'll come to some kind of acceptance and can start wearing it, lol.

    • 2

I hope everything gets figured out. It’s a very beautiful and classic style.

    • It is a soft cup, I have the same bra.

    • brasaremean well my bad for not looking closely enough at their website then. Oh well... Guess I'll just have to order another padded bra to make up for it.

  2. Topaz

    Fits

The most important thing to know about Topaz is that (imo) the cups run a *full size* deep compared to other Comexim plunges.

I ordered Topaz in 60J & two other Comexim's in 60K -- all of them fit, with no apparent difference to me in cup volume. I was warned to order down in Topaz by a very clear note on BreakoutBra's Topaz sale page.

Setting that aside-- Topaz delivers the Classic Comexim Plunge Cut Experience, in a rich & beautiful jewel-toned color scheme.

I am very projected with slightly close-set boobs that are soft, pendulous and kinda saggy. Plunge was a great fit ... for me pre-pregnancy and remains great at my bloated current sz. The wire sits in the right place under my boobs and never feels too wide. It also has enough projection to sit *right* under my boobs, helping the fit.

My #1 favorite aspect of Plunge cut is containment; the cups always contain my boobs at center & top. There is no way I can move my arms that anything slips.

On straps: They are unaltered. I don't usually have an issue with Comexim's plunge-cut straps feeling wide.

On T-shirts: No comexim is a perfect T-shirt bra due to fairly prominent seams & Topaz is even less ideal, due to the added lace on top. My give-shits level on this is low; I wear all of them under T-shirts anyways.

On measurements: I'm so sorry I didn't measure; I forgot before I returned...

Why I returned if it fit so well: I didn't think it would!! I ordered 3 with the intent of keeping 1 only ... I would seriously consider re-adding Topaz to my collection post-pregnancy.

    Size notes:

    * In UK-made bras, I was wearing 28G & 30FF when I bought this.
    * In breakoutbras relabeling, 60J = "28GG" and 60K = "28H"

    My stats for reference:

5'3, 28G.5, FOT, tall and narrow roots, center full, projected, average to high set.

    Look:
This bra is gorgeous, It reminds me of those tightrope dancers at the circus. The purple is a little bit lighter than in the photos. It does have a pretty large bow on the center gore, which I usually don't like, but it seems to fit this bra well. The straps have a ribbon like trim on top, which helps to get the adjusters to stay put. It does not pass the "white t-shirt test". Like most Comexim plunges, it gives a very projected and high-set shape.

    Fit:
I'd say it fits slightly ... large, like a UK 28G.5 which is perfect for me. The band is nice and snug, but not too tight. The gore is pretty low, meaning I could easily get "buttcrack" or "pornstar" cleavage with chicken cutlets. The straps are on the thinner side, which may not be your cup of tea. The cups are super tall, as usual with comexim plunges. I'm FOT with tall roots and I almost feel like I'm swimming in them. The straps also seem a bit short, I'm only 5'3 and slightly high set, I almost have the straps adjusted to the longest setting. There's about 2" of wiggle room for me, so this bra may not work for those who are tall or low set.

    Used to fit

I nervously asked Comexim to basically completely customize this top for me and they went above and beyond. I had it made in the 3HC pattern with straps moved in 2cm and made to be convertible. Anna threw in the bottoms for me. I'm in love with this company. I really cannot say enough about Comexim and I wish they'd get their communication issues straightened out because from my experience there is very little they aren't willing to do for their customers. This is wonderfully narrow and supportive, and the convertible straps take the sting out of being unable to find a good halter bikini top. It feels like it was made for me, probably because it pretty much was! The 3HC cut is my jam, seriously. Full review on my blog!

The faux halter look combined with the 3HC looks so much nicer than the standard plunge version of this bikini. It looks great on you too.

  5. Scottie 3hc

My shape is low set, short and narrow rooted, and soft.

This bra is a 3HC (half cup with two vertical lines). I ordered this as a 60 band because my 65 bands were feeling too loose, and I'm glad I did. It feels perfect, and there are 4 x 3 sets of hooks to fasten it. The straps are nice and wide and they adjust long enough for my low set/tall frame. The pattern is super cute and playful, and I love having this bra because most of my bras have no pattern. The shape is typically rounded for a half cup, and I get just some slight ... quadding on my larger side after I scoop and swoop. This cup has a thin lining along the cups upper edge, which is good so there's no gaping along the cup edge. The material is cottony on the inside and outside, and the band is a bit stretchy. I gave it a fairly good pull to get my measurements, but it could have stretched further.... I just didn't want to distort the cups.I requested straps moved in 1cm, overlapping gore. The gore is not overlapped but it is quite narrow and still fits.

Overall excellent quality, excellent comfort (as always with Comexim bras), and excellent appearance.

    • This one looks great too!

    • Looks like a perfect fit for you.

    • Thanks, I love this bra! I think it'll get a ton of wear!

    • This looks so beautiful! The print is so nice too!

    • Thanks braluv !

    • Gaaah the Scottie looks amazing on ya! I need this in my life pronto. Interesting that you ordered this as a 3HC. I have just tried my first 3HC yesterday and it's an interesting fit. Definitely not like EM's CHP, which is very round and projected, while the 3HC is more minimized. I'm finding it a good shape alternative to Comexims's newer plunges which are more narrow and projected. I love all these styles, it's hard to pick a favorite. What's your favorite cut?

    • aogg EMs Chps never fit me right. There was always either gaping in the larger size, or headlights in the smaller size. I like the plunges, but I prefer the round look that I get from a 3HC (comexim). They are my favorite!

    Didn't fit

With little data available about Comexim unlined bras, I purchased both the 60HH and 60J Ivonne for "science." This is a beautiful bra!! The texture alone is impressive. Straps are fully adjustable. And, 3x3 fasteners are standard. The deep taupe color is saturated, rich, and I know this style will be my companion under white knits.

In Ewa Michalak unlined bras, I felt unsupported. The bras I tried had only 2x4 fasteners. Those of you with heavy breasts will appreciate the support of Ivonne's 3x3 fasteners. The Ewa Michalak HM, SM, and BM had too tall cups. And, when my breast tissue had enough room, I could not ... tolerate the excessively wide strap placement. But, this unlined Comexim has impressive lift, narrower strap placement, and a shorter cup. Not only are the straps attached more narrowly, but also the strap width is a supportive .7". Fellow short-rooted friends, Comexim Ivonne may be a viable option for you! https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" /> https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />

The immediate projection is very good. Because I have not tried unlined Ewa Michalak's in a 60cm band, I can't fairly compare the 60J Comexim, 65G Ewa Michalak, or 70F Ewa Michalak. From my perspective, I recommend Ivonne for short-rooted, projected breasts. Because I have very short roots, there is a bit of wrinkling along the top edge when I slump my shoulders. However, in my typical posture, there are no wrinkles.

Compared to Panache/Cleo, you will notice there is no in-cup quadding despite the transition to an embroidered fabric. The profile is smooth and round even under a thin, stretchy knit (see the photo). Again, the band comfort and support with Ivonne is superior to what I've experienced with Panache/Cleo. The fabrics on Lucy, Lily, and Marcie seem cheap and itchy. I find Ivonne's fabric sumptuous in comparison. Finally, the straps on Ivonne are positioned more closely together than what I have experienced with Panache/Cleo, too. There are strong advantages to trying unlined Comexim bras.

This 60J has an unusually short band which stretches only to 26.5". The 60HH Ivonne stretches to 29". There is dramatic variation in band length. I'm wearing the 60J with a full extender, but the 60HH fits without an extender. This is the one disadvantage: you won't know what band length you'll receive unless you specify band length in your order. Did you read that correctly? https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_wink.gif" alt=";-)" /> Comexim will manufacture your bra of choice to the precise band length you require. Wow. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" /> In previous orders, the band length varied by less than .5" in the multiple, same band length bras.

Had I been more attentive when I ordered, I would have requested overlapping gore wires. I intended to order returnable Comexims. However, after ordering, I learned 60cm bands are not returnable. I need a bit more projection or the gore width would be acceptable. I'm learning sufficient projection prevents my tissue from compressing into the gore wires. There is enough projection and support from the fabric that the cup doesn't wrinkle at the base. Good news for projected breasts!!

I thoroughly recommend Ivonne!! And, I will order again with overlapping gore wires. https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" />

All your descriptions sound great for me, although I didn't find SM too tall on me. I wonder how the 60HH compares to their 60HH padded bras. I'd have no idea what size I am in unlined Comexims, I've never ordered because of the lack of information lol! But it's a beautiful bra. The 5.5 cup width you've put in for the 60HH is about 0.2 more than I can tolerate in even an unlined bra though. Le sigh.

    • I added the 60HH measurements, too :-) I couldn't wear the 60HH padded because of inadequate immediate projection. The unlined 60HH didn't fit, but it was a better fit than the padded 60HH. Bending the wires may work perfectly for you ;-)

    • 1

Idk. I'm shrinking in some way these days because my fit in old standard bras has changed a bit but I don't know if 9" of depth would be adequate. I'll ponder it for a while. I wonder if it would disappear under a white & thin shirt. It seems like it might be a bit too embellished for that. I desperately would like to have an unlined nude-tan-neutral for summery shirts. Can't seem to find one.

    • When the photos are approved, there is a photo of this under the most clingy, thin knit I own. It is not perfectly smooth. :-(

    • 2

We need a dislike button on here lol. I really want as inconspicuous of a nude bra as I can find. Some of my summery shirts are very very thin and flowy. it gets over 100 in the summers here with suffocating humidity, dewpoints known to reach the 80's and top Florida. Honestly, putting a cami under my lightweight breezy shirts to hide my bra defeats the purpose of a lightweight breezy shirt.

    • It is miserable in the summer here. However, last summer was the most pleasant in my memory. We were only over 100 for a few days. No camis for me either. I was moved from Montreal to here. The movers were stunned by the "It's hotter than Florida!!!" climate ;-) ;-)

    • 1

I love love love summer, don't get me wrong. I hate winter with a fiery burning passion. But yes, the bras. Oh, the bras. Must find my perfect summer bra.

    • 1

I wonder if the champange-colored EM triumph SM might work: no embroidery. Hope you find something soon! :-)

    • 2

It has that lighter colored pattern on it though. I have a feeling it'll do what the nude Marcie did. Blend in except for the white parts. All nude bra, people! It's not a hard concept!!!

    • 3

I'm also frustrated with trying to find a plain beige or even blush pink bra for summer. I have so many cute, patterned bras, but trying to find plain, not overly embellished basics in lighter fabrics is next to impossible.

    • how tall is this bra?

    • 1

6.3" following Bratabase's cup height measurement guide. :-)

    • @lc10706 have you tried Fanstasie Esme maybe 30F? I ordered a 30E from Amazon bc they didn't have the F and the width is under 5" but the depth was just at 9 or slightly shy. I could button up a shirt That normally I can't button but I don't look squashed in it. DressTheTwins - this looks lovely in you. I like the color too! Maybe I'll get brave enough to order. For the job I have next year I have to wear white buttons so "nudes" are going to be key.

    • revisa I wore RED (Comexim Eris) under a thin white t-shirt today :-) :-)

    Hasn't set fit

This bra is to die for! Black mesh over a beige background, lashings of floral and scalloped lace, pleated ribbon edging and a gigantic satin center bow. The straps have a slight glossy sheen in the center and gold hardware. It’s romantic, sexy, and a little vintage looking… the quality is excellent and all the details make this bra look more expensive than it really is. I was worried about how the bottoms would fit, as Comexim seems to run on the smaller side and I’m quite paranoid about panties digging into my fleshy sides. However, the matching thong in medium was a good fit on my 36” ... hips, and together with the bra it really makes for a beautiful set!

The fit by all accounts is true to size for a standard 60J. The band felt extremely firm when I first tried it on, but after a couple wears it’s much more comfortable, sitting snug and totally parallel around my back. It has four sets of hooks rather than three, which is a nice option to have as far as extending the lifespan of your bra. The way the ribbon is gathered and stitched along the top of the cup doesn't close it off, the way that the ribbon on Brigitte does, for example. It will show faintly beneath thin, non-opaque shirts, but on the whole it's remarkably smooth beneath heavier t-shirts and dresses.

Like my other unaltered Comexim plunges, I could do with a bit more center projection, or maybe a lowered gore; the gore tacks at the bottom but refuses to touch my sternum at the top. However, when I do press it fully against my chest, there’s no quadding (I’ve included pictures of this for reference https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> The black mesh wrinkles just a bit at the sides of the cup on my smaller side where there is just some slight emptiness, but overall the cup volume seems pretty perfect.

I was unsure about this bra when I saw it on Comexim's website, but seeing it on you it looks amazing. I think I might need to get one now.

    • Did you special request the 4x fastener?

    • Thank you SiliconeJulie and amandafire! You guys won't regret it! Haha. BronteBeach no, I didn't. I ordered without any alterations at all... at first I thought it was just a feature of Comexim's new collection, but now looking at the other bras' measurements it looks like mine was a fluke!

    • That looks awesome on you! I ordered the matching set and had the bra altered to be a longline. I'm waiting for it to arrive and now I'm even more excited for it :)

    • Ah ok! I have it in 60HH so I was just wondering cause mine has only 3x2 fastener^^
      Lucky you :)

    • I love the Charme, it's definitely on my wishlist as well! Looks great on you :)

    • Would this be a good fit for 28GG, or should I move to 60K? Thank you!

    • bubblepop this one fits more like a 28G, so I'd probably suggest sticking with a 60K!

I'm aware this is quite the highly sought after bikini. It was sent as a replacement to the Orange one they ran out of fabric for. Typically quality Comexim fit. Lovely pattern, if you're into that kind of thing. The band is super tight and the cups feel smaller than my Pin Up Girl. The bottoms fit great right out of the bag. I feel like a weirdo, because this pattern is just not my style... I suspect I'm in a small minority here. Full review on the blog.

  9. Patricia Half Cup

I'm low set, short and narrow rooted, and soft.

Another cute bra from Comexim! This one has been around for a long time, and I've always had my eye on it. After getting my 60J - Comexim » Scottie 3hc last year, I decided to add a green plaid to the mix this Christmas. It doesn't disappoint. I love it! Not only is it cute, but it's perfectly comfortable even after all day wear, and it fits perfectly. I get a nice round look with the illusion of upper fullness. Yes there is a hint of a bubble...but it's like I've said in other reviews, I prefer ... a slight bubble on my larger side instead of gaping on my smaller side.

The band is a perfect 60 in my opinion...not undersized as I've experienced before, and not overly stretchy. I could have stretched it beyond what I did, but it was starting to distort the wires. I never wear my bras to the point where the wires are bending anyways (I just add an extender if it's tight). Note that I did wear this bra a couple times before measuring (I don't usually do that but I didn't have time to input it first). Straps are wider than average and almost let out all the way on my tall/low set frame (could still go another inch or so).

This one has a different trim than the scottie. This one has a larger lace trim, whereas the scottie has a black thin trim. This Patricia cuts in a bit less (rounds in less) so it's probably better for upper fullness.

Overall superb quality, comfort, price, appearance, etc. I'll wear this one till it's dead ...(unless I randomly gain a whole bunch of weight rendering it unwearable, but let's be optimistic).

    • 1

Yeah. It works fine and I think I might like this better as 3HC instead of a plunge.

    My stats for reference:

5'3, 28G.5, FOT, tall and narrow roots, center full, projected, average to high set.

    Look:
Jesus christ is this bra gorgeous! The entire band, cradle and cups are covered in rich crimson satin like fabric and black lace. The photos do not do it justice. The photo that shows the color most accurately is my side profile. This bra screams "My rich husband died in mysterious circumstances". There is a large, but not pouty, bow on the gore that somehow looks sophisticated instead of childish. It gives a very "out there" and slightly pointed shape like most Comexim plunges. It dosen't pass the white t-shirt test, ... but who would expect it to?

    Fit:
This bra fits like a 28G.5, just like my Tosca, I'm super happy with it. The cups are narrow, projected and tall. Unlike the Tosca, the straps are long enough to accommodate someone taller or lower set than me. The gore is pretty low, and the wires seem firmer than is normal for Comexim. Overall, this was a "Bra Win" as Happy2BraShop would say.

It's too bad a swap didn't work out! I'm trying a 60G Comexim Free Time and a 60E EM M Chaberek, hoping maybe they'll fit...

    • GimpyBallerina, girl you have no idea. They're a mess of short cups and no projection at the wire. I'm a 60J in this carmen and my tosca, but I need at least an L in the new plunges just to get a decent volume.

    • 1

marilynne omg nooooo!!! that's so disappointing to hear. I feel like the projection at the wire was a big part of what got them so popular in the first place. they were certainly the saving grace for me. damnnn 3 cups up? that's ridiculous. WHY, COMEXIM. WHY.

    • GimpyBallerina I know, right!? And their wires have gotten super wide. Take a look at my 60J scottie pictures, you'll see the difference between an old 60J and a new 60J. Literally their old plunges are the best fits I've found. I don't know what they did to the cut, but I'm awaiting @sherrach898's new cut vs old cut basic plunge review to find out once and for all, WTF? lol

    • marilynne THE NARROW WIRES WERE THE BEST PART WHAT WERE THEY THINKING. now makes me wonder if I should specify that my Basic is the old cut in my listing hahaha
will be very curious to see this review, please share when she posts!

    • GimpyBallerina
I know! Now I have to buy 3 cups up for volume, but it's also 3 wires up. So I end up with a mess. It's terrible. I'm just hoping enough people decide to sell their vintage Comexim's to keep me in bras forever. You should definitely mention it in the listing. If it had more than 9. Something inches of depth I'd scoop it up in a heartbeat. And it looks like your only polish listings are the mak and tropical garden at the moment. I'll definitely message you when she reviews.

      * sherrach898 I forgot you can't add an apostrophe to a tag. Lol.

    • 1

marilynne ugh good to know, thanks :( last I measured it I got 8.8" but I'll remeasure to make sure that's right (I noted a possible reduced cup, have to check old messages). The width is the exact same as all my other old Comexims though.

I listed it on reddit but have been too lazy to list most stuff on bratabase. Starting to catch up on that now, as you've seen haha

thank you! also just followed her

    • GimpyBallerina definitely repost on reddit, lots of people are going nuts for 28G-GG's right now.

marilynne oooh yes good to know, thank you! will do that tonight

    Didn't fit

After seeing Calluna 's scottie on her, I HAD to have one. Sadly, this one didn't work and I'll have to pass it on to someone else.

    My stats for reference:

5'3, 28GG, FOT, tall and narrow roots, center full, projected, average to high set.

    Look:
This bra is so cute! I was worried that it would look too much like "Slutty Schoolgirl" and not enough "Sophisticated scottish patriot (lol)". I couldn't have been more wrong, this bra looks even more beautiful in person! It's covered in like a stretch-modal type plaid fabric that's super soft, you can definitely tell where the few extra zloty went.

    Fit:
Sadly, ... I can't say much about the fit as it didn't fit. It runs true to size as a 60, unlike Comexim's other fabric covered band bras. The cups may be slightly shallower than other plunges. The straps are very long, so this bra could easily accommodate someone taller or lower set than me.

    Conclusion:
This bra is perfect, it's just not my size. I'll be ordering it in a bigger size, 60K or 60L. I'll have to do some research to choose. I'll write a much longer review once it comes with the matching bottoms and garter.

  12. Gloria White Half Cup 3hc

I'm low set, short and narrow rooted, and soft.

This was my impulse buy, since I was originally looking at one of ten thousand other Comexim bras that day. I just thought "hey, I've never owned a pure white bra". Anyways, it's very lovely on, and quite comfortable. I ordered it with straps moved in 1cm, overlapping gore, made as a 3HC, and as a 60 band. As far as I can tell, all alterations were made. It fits just like my other 60J Comexim half cups - nice and round, uplifted (gives the illusion of upper fullness).

The straps are a bit wider than your average straps, so ... they are comfy. The band is a bit stretchy for a 60, but it still supports me. I could have stretched it further in measuring it, but the bra/cups were starting to distort. Note that I did wear it once before measuring (usually I measure first). The back of the band has a keyhole kind of look (not sure how else to describe it, so I attached a picture).

This bra does have a trim around the upper cups, so just be aware of that if you have a lot of upper fullness. It cuts into my upper boobs ever so slightly. I do have minor bubbling on my larger side, but this is how I like my bras to fit (fitted on my smaller boob, slightly bubbling on my bigger boob). It's not that I like bubbling, I just hate gaping.

I got the matching thong ("stringi") in medium. I measure about 36.5" high on my hip, and about 38.5" around the biggest part of my bum. They fit great and look nice with the matching bra.

Overall, top quality (especially for the price), well made, comfortable, and very pretty.

Very nice. I’m not sure what I think about all white bras. I used to love them but then learned that they are not really good under white. And I branched into colours. I’m still partly intrigued with all white though.

    • 1

Calluna Pretty much all my clothes are dark, so I never even thought about how it would look under the tops. I just wanted all white for the novelty of it I think! I'm worried that it'll get coloured, even with careful washing, but it'll be a nice option anyways.

    • 2

Yup. That’s the other reason. I also wear a lot of dark colours. I actually sold/traded my Bezowa because I was worried that it would get dingy from other colours even though it was a great fit and beautiful.

    • 1

    • This is so pretty! I'd be terrified to own a pure white bra. I wear too many dark tops. Thanks for reviewing!

    • 1

      Another lovely bra! Congratulations!

    • 1

Yeah, I have a feeling this one will have a short life span before it becomes "just another bra" due to it being white and getting discoloured, but I'll enjoy it until then anyways. It has a great shape under clothes either way, so even if it gets discoloured, I'll still wear it.

    Didn't fit

For reference, I am projected, FOB, center full, narrow roots, and petite (4'11"). I bought this bra through r/braswap, and the previous owner said it was altered with the straps moved in 4cm and gore lowered 2cm to fit like a 28F (though labeled as 28GG).

This is my first Comexim, and it's a beautiful bra and in great condition! The moved in straps are amazing, since most of the bras I've tried previously were too wide and cut into my arms. I do get weird wrinkling and emptiness at the top of the cups near the strap, especially on my smaller side. I think this is because ... the cups are quite tall, which gives me a very full coverage look.

Besides that, everything else is very comfortable. The band feels supportive but not too tight even on the loosest hook despite the used condition. The gore tacks, and the wires don't slide down throughout the day. Not a bad fit for my first Polish bra! Though I will be looking into Comexim bras with lower cups in the future.

That looks great! Do you think the altered 60j was the correct size for you, and the wrinkling was only because the cups were too tall? We have almost the same measurements and I'm trying to figure out my size before ordering.

    Didn't fit

I ordered this 60J with reduced cups after the 60HH fit debacle - which fit about half a cup size too small. I was hopeful that the 60J would be a better fit. At first blush, Ingrid appeared to fit quite well. It looks lovely on and gives great cleavage. The band is comfy and true to size. The straps are comfortable on my narrow shoulders and the gore is delightfully narrow.

However, after a few minutes of wear, it became apparent that this bra is too small for me. The wires keep slipping out of my IMF and ended up being uncomfortably pushed down my torso. This ... happened with the 60HH, but I didn't think much of it because it was clear that the overall cup volume was too small. (I have serious trouble diagnosing specific fit issues when the overall bra is just too small.) But, it seems the 60J does not have enough immediate projection (I need oodles). I am not sure if this problem would be solved by sizing up, or if the Comexim plunges are just not a good fit for my shape. Sigh.

Sidenote - This bra arrived ridiculously fast. It was sent out 2 - 3 days after the online order was made and shipping took about 12 days to Canada. Also, all of the customizations I requested (reduced cup height and moved in straps) were made. Seriously impressive.

    • You're making me really doubt that a Comexim would work for me :(
Shame because they have beautiful plunges and I already know that Ewa's dont have enough projection at the wire :/

    • I may have to stick to CHPs.

    • Thank you thank you thank you for your review, especially the last paragraph. My last order shipped within 3 days and I have been worried they didn't do my size or customizations. Knowing yours was fulfilled as quickly and done correctly eases my mind a bit. So, again, thank you!

Sorry this one didn't work out, but it does look great on you-a good match for your skin tone.

    • AprilGoulding I think I may need to stick to CHPs as well. They are such a perfect fit! It's a shame that the Comexim plunges are so pretty.

    • 1

MamaPagan fingers crossed that your customizations are done. I wonder if they hired extra seamstresses for the holiday rush? My black friday order took so much longer

    • 1

Before you give up, isn't Ingrid one of the ones that a lot of folks have serious fit issues with?

    • Sovavosi how did I miss this info! Tell me more.

    • 1

I might be confusing this with the 3HC version. I just remember seeing people post that it was small and shallow.

    • 1

No, I think Sovavosi is right. I think that Ingrid plunge is an off fit plunge. It might be better as a 3HC though.

    • eek!Calluna I thought it was the other way around.

    • I also have read that it tends to be bigger and taller.

    • Indeed Sovavosi is correct, Ingrid is a regular fit issue. Just go to the fit request page and search for Ingrid and you'll see it has frequented the site. :-D

*But* I believe most (if not all) were Breakout Bras versions which vary from Comexim directs.

So trying another model may not be a bad idea?

    • This looks fantastic on you. Sorry that it's too small.

    Didn't fit

My Black Friday Comexim order arrived! I got tired of using silicone nipple covers under unlined bras when I wear thin white tops so decided to get a lined white bra.

Since my first trial a few years ago, I found that Comexim half-cups fit my top fullness and tall roots much better than plunges, so I asked to make the Basic Bra in a 3HC. It is a 60 band, so it is unreturnable. I'm really disappointed it's too small in the cups. I had lined and unlined 3HC's from Comexim in 60HH, but they got too small because I gained weight and a cup size. So I ... was pretty sure I need a 60J, but it turns out I'm wrong.

The cups feel really shallow as I have a bit of empty space at the bottom and my boobs get pushed UP so dramatically. A cup depth of 8.5" is more like a 60H/HH imo. I wonder if their cups are made smaller now? My soft tissue is also falling out at the centre and a little bit at the armpit area - I could use more coverage there.

The band is a bit tight, but my under bust is 27" so it is not a problem for me.

Sorry to hear it didn't fit! This Black Friday was the first one I ordered customised bras too, and I'm a little scared.

I might be interested in this one if you decide to sell it :)

    • 3

I'm a 28FF/30F (some 28G/30FF) and I wear 60J in 3HCs, but even I get a bit of quadding in those these days. Sorry it didn't fit you. So dissappointing after waiting so long. I also may be interested if you sell...

    • 2

I’m sorry it was now what you hoped for. For what it’s worth, I think it still looks lovely on you. Tho I can totally understand the desire for the perfect fit. I tried the 3HC for the first time and had to definitely size up in the cup. My plunges are 65J, but my 3HC I definitely had to go with the K cup.

    • 2

Oh, I was also going to say, I've read that the basic runs small.

    • 1

Oblivion I have ordered from Comexim several times, so I'm kinda pissed at myself for misjudging the size, especially after waiting for a month. :( I will definitely have to sell this bra so I can purchase a 60K. Will send you a message!

Wilderness1 I'm 28FF as well, recently (4 months ago) gone up from 28F, but had quad boobs in bras like Cleo Marcie in 28FF... So I guess I gained another half a cup and really should've ordered a 60K. I also missed that the Basic runs small. You're next on the list for the bra. :)

Happy2BraShop It would be a great bra for dramatic cleavage, just sadly not what I'm looking for right now. :/

    • 1

I agree that it still looks lovely. I wonder if a bit of wear would soften the cups some and let your tissue fill the bottom empty space a bit more. My 70H 3HC Triss is also a little bit small, but I still wear it. No one but me knows that it’s a little bit too small.

    Fits

Juliette is a sedate but beguiling combination of mauvey-beige trim with mossy blue-green square lace. The geometric pattern looks like the facade of the Santa Maria del Fiore in Florence, elegantly restrained in design and gorgeous in its subtlety https://d28qt14g3opchh.cloudfront.net/smileys/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" /> I regret to say that my favorite feature of the bra, the crystal charm that hangs from the center gore and sparkles with movement, gets obscured a bit by the bow at the center gore. Nevertheless it really makes this bra, which is such an appealing and classically beautiful combination of earth tones.

The cups (which are reduced) are an excellent fit… ... they are filled out wonderfully with neither any gaping or overflow whatsoever, and gather a pretty cleavage in the middle. The gore on this bra is much lower than on my other Comexims, leaving more room for close-set breasts, and happily tacks perfectly as a result! Now I’m considering ordering this alteration in the future! The shape is just exquisite, projected and uplifted but very, very round. It is smooth and seamless beneath clothing… exactly what I wish for in all my bras.

However, the band is tight! It stretches to just over 27,” awesome for sub-28 band ladies but noticeably uncomfortable over the course of the day on my true 28” ribcage, so I’ll be using an extender for a while. I suppose this has to do with Juliette being an older model, in addition to the variance of custom-made Polish bras in general.

    Didn't fit

This sz 60J was too big, 1 to 1.5 cup sizes. I messed up my Breakout Bras conversion.

    About me:
    * 60H or 60HH in Comexim (i own 6)
    * 28F in most UK brands
    * Very, very rarely UK 30E or Comexim 65H

    About Onyks -

    * Colors are beautiful. This was among my fav Comexim sets.
    * Adorable matching panties
    * Uniquely comfortable, especially compared to Comexim's padded styles

    Didn't love:

    * VERY inconsistent bra-to-bra on sizing
    * lace at the top may not lie flat, even in the true size.
    * mixed feelings about the boob shape ... a rounded, mound or pancake-ish look.

TLDR: Prepare to have to try and return ... this bra multiple times, to find the right fit.

Breakout Bras site notes the Onyks is very stretchy & recommends 1 band size low. I feel this is accurate.... kinda. I personally found 60 & 65 both seemed like they'd fit.

This blew me away because I am way small for a 30... I never met a single other Comexim 65 that was wearable - otherwise I was a solid 60. Yet somehow in unlined I took a 65. I actually own Comexim Sirene, a sister style unlined, in 65H.

Also I'll note, after a failed online order, I actually visited Breakout Bras physically so I tried on many different Onyks (and 100s of Comexims in general). The Onyks bands varied HEAVILY - all the Comexim bras vary, but Onyks was definitely the most obvious offender to me by a long shot. The fitting assistant even commented on how different various 28's seemed.

I think the unlined styles might just be extra inconsistent, even for Comexim. Be warned.

Cups are too small without a doubt. Ironically the gore actually sits better on this one then the plunge I got. Will see about sending back for next size up.

    60J

    Didn't fit

I'm not sure what's happening with this bra. My shape is projected, full on top and centre with tall and narrow roots, very close and low set which is self-supporting. It is important to note that I have a cleavage (due to the breasts being close together) and my nipples are way above my IMF (self-supporting) and a bit out (due to centre fullness) when unsupported. When leaning forward to imitate the state of my breasts supported in a bra, my nipples are higher and more centre.

My last Comexim was an unlined 3HC (Bianca) in 60HH and when I posted a fit check int the ABTF Facebook group ... one comment suggested me to order 60J in the future. So, I got this bra from another user who only tried it on. I was worried that 60J would be too big but a 2HC should fit shallower than a 3HC, so I tried anyway.

The band is snug like a standard 28 band with 3 hooks.

A major difference between this bra and other Comexim bras I have tried is that the side of the cups is really high. The gore height is about 3 inches (higher than my unaltered 60HH 3HC) and it still looks like a plunge bra with a very downward slope from the sides. Luckily I have a low set and a long torso, so this does not bother me. But if you have a high set, short torso or have the problem of bras rubbing in the armpit, this is likely to be an issue. I have tall roots so I fill out the cups fine even though the sides are so tall, so I imagine there will be gaping in someone with short roots or not much upper fullness.

The wires are soft, narrow and follows my IMF closely. The gore is a little bit high and the top does not sit flat due to my close set.

In this 2HC, the outer portion has a much larger area than the inner one. I'm not sure if this is applicable to this particular bra or all unlined 2HC models in Comexim. The fabric is soft and REALLY stretchy, which brings out the most important issue of the fit. I feel like the bra does not give me any lift and support at all. When I lean forward to imitate a supported state, then stand upright, my breasts sinks into the cups. My nipples are placed "low and out" like their natural, unsupported state. This feels more like a wired bralette to me. There are also some wrinkles near the centre and top of the cups.

    https://imgur.com/a/MjzjZ6Q

This collage shows the nipple placement in this bra, an unlined, non-wired bralette (to show my natural, unsupported shape), Comexim Bianca 3HC in 60HH, and Panache Jasmine in 28F. I hope the markup shows clearly how my nipples are more "out and low" in this bra and the bralette but "in and up" in the other bras. You can also view fit pictures of the other bras in my profile.

I have shared my review and the same pictures in the ABTF Facebook group and most comments suggest that this bra is supportive, better fitting and looks more comfortable than the others. Many think my other bras are too small as I have a more visible cleavage in them.

I'm not sure if I'm crazy here. Have I been wearing too small cups the whole time but not know it? I'm not sure what is causing my feeling of not being supported and lifted - are the cups too big or the fabric too stretchy?

To conclude, this bra is likely to work for someone who is at least somewhat projected but not extremely, with more top but little centre fullness, slightly narrow and tall roots, an average to low set with not very soft tissue.
